The scriptures shape our character, guide our decisions, and lead us into experiences of transformation and unity.

Acts 17:1-9 teaches us that the Gospel is transformation because it is reliable. The resurrection power of Jesus is more than a subjective experience, it is an objective truth that transforms our lives.

On Easter Sunday we celebrated Jesus’ ability to bring us peace that creates joy in every season of life.

As Christians, we are called to have a mind governed by the Holy Spirit and not one governed by the flesh. A mind governed by the Spirit leads to life. We need to create time in our busy schedules to listen to the Holy Spirit allowing Him to govern our mind so that we remain within the calling that God has for us.

In every situation we have a reason to praise and can experience the power of praise. When we participate in praise it change our view of God, our circumstances, and even the environment around us.

This week’s message focused on the gift that God’s presence is to every believer. The wonderful thing about God’s presence is that it’s available to imperfect people in both routine and unexpected ways, and it’s always where God speaks, reveals His character, administers His will, and gives the promise that He will go with us wherever we go.

Living a life empowered by the Holy Spirit requires us to submit to His leading and guidance in every area of our lives. When He speaks, we need to be ready to respond!

Followers of Jesus will experience unjust suffering as the share his light in dark places. Acts 16 teaches us to identify the causes of unjust suffering and how we can address it to make a difference for those coming after us.

In Acts 16:16-18 the story of a woman suffering from an evil spirit reminds us that we live in a supernatural world that includes a real enemy who is working to steal, kill and destroy. As followers of Jesus, we can encounter evil with confidence, becuase Jesus is always stronger and can always deliver us. When we experience his freedom, we then get the privilige of sharing it with others who are stuck in darkness.

The Holy Spirit is active in bringing revival to the church as a community and individually. Our part is to surrender, seek, and worship. The on-going renewal of the Holy Spirit in our lives empowers us for the service He has called us to both generally in our witness and our specific callings.

Pastor Caleb Cole is the Lead Pastor of Project Church in Sacramento, CA. Pastor Caleb reminded us that we have been created to experience God’s glory and allow it to flow through us to bring change to the world around us. In 2 Samuel 6 King David offers us a few examples of what it looks like to pursue and experience God’s glory.

In this message we will examine seven things associated with the coming of the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Books of Acts. It demonstrates how powerful the Holy Spirit is. Finally, we will look at steps we can take to promote a deeper experience with the Holy Spirit in our own life.

God is never satisfied with us living in admiration of him. He wants us to experience whole life transformation through a relationship with Jesus. Acts 16:11-15 reminds us that this is God’s plan for everyone, and he will do whatever it takes to make that known to each of us.

Ash Wednesday reminds us that God is serious about sin, and is serious about forgiveness.

When God directs our steps, He often does it by telling us no. This means we must remove the negativy from no, and learn to embrace it as a word of instruction and invitation to listen.

Conflict with other believers is not God’s plan. However, because God has chosen us to be part of his kingdom, the potential for conflict with other believers is always present. In Act 15 a disagreement between church leaders gives us a chance to learn how to deal with conflict.

Acts 15 teaches us that we should not make it difficult for others to find and follow Jesus!

Learn life-changing lessons and be inspired by the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus, mirroring our own journey from despair to hope in Christ, and dive into the heart of our 2023 ministry journey to learn how 253,005 people chose Christ. This message is a celebration of faith, transformation, and the power of sacrificial love.

Acts 15:1-11 teaches us taht God’s kingdom is one of Grace, Grace, and more grace. It’s the grace of Jesus that saves us and the grace of Jesus that keeps us. We must resist the temptation to add our rules are prerequisites to his grace.

Christmas Eve is a chance for us to celebrate the arrival of Jesus and his ability to restore our experience of Eden.

When life is difficult, God always circles back to provide strength and encouragement to us. When we have received that gift, we then have the opportunity to circle back to others.

We are all searching for meaning and significance. The scriptures teach us that God created us with this desire and it will only be fulfilled in Jesus.

The Continuing Story of Jesus. Summary: Acts 14:1-7 echoes a few important themes from the birth story of Jesus that continue through each generation of the church.

Walking in the supernatural is connected to developing Jesus’s heart for the nations. Mark chapter 16 offers several important principles on how to simplify the supernatural in your life. Using church planting illustrations from East Africa, this message will challenge you to simplify the supernatural in your life

Gratitude to God is something that we should be engaging in on a daily basis. Today we looked at examples in the Bible of what it looks like to give thanks in all circumstances, and what that means for us in our lives.

In Acts 13:13-52 we learn that every there is a space in every story that points to Jesus. When we accept him as the fulfillment of every God-given hope and dream we experience an inexpressible and unending joy.

Acts 13:4-12 demonstrates a few key features of a Spirit-Empowered Life. When we walk with Jesus, we receive power from the Holy Spirit to live in a way that creates an eternal impact.

Acts 13:1-3 shows up a few key elements to hearing God’s voice frequently and clearly.

In Romans 8:28 God promises to make everything work for good to those who love him. This is clearly illustrated in the story of Joseph found in Genesis 37 – 50. By looking at this example from Scripture we can find encouragement when facing adversity and learn how to respond in faith to our own challenges.

In Acts 12 the early church models a prayerful response when we encounter the impact of evil in the world. When we pray in the face of impossible circumstances, we experience the unstoppable power of God.

Acts 11 is the story of the church advancing through the contributions of every member. It doesn't matter if you feel like an anonymous disciple or a known leader, God's plan is to build His kingdom through your participation.

The story of Jesus is simple, reliable and creates opportunities for us to respond.

Acts 10:1-23 is the story of God's plan for the church to be a place for everyone everywhere.

Acts 9 teaches that the resurrection power of Jesus, and the presence of the Holy Spirit create opportunities for supernatural healingadn resurrection today.

Acts 9:19-31 teaches us that when we say yes to Jesus we will receive all kinds of responses to the new life we have found.

Faith is foundational in our relationship with God. It's important to look at the life of Abram and see how God worked through his faith to be a blessing to the entire world.

Act 9:10-19 teaches us that when God gives us an inconvenient assignment we should respond in obedience so we can participate in the divine appointment that He arranged.

No matter who you are, where you are, what you're doing, or how toxic the atmosphere around you might be, Jesus has a plan to change your life. The story of Saul's conversion in Acts 9 reminds us that God shows up in personal and powerful ways to forgive us and reveal a new path that leads to life.

Acts 8 teaches us that when we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit we will find ourselves in the right place at the right time to speak the right words that build God's Kingdom in us and through us.

This message is based on an incident in the life of Moses found in Exodus 15 where the Lord made the bitter waters of Marah sweet. Three principles emerge that teach us how to deal with life’s disappointments. By following this Biblical pattern, we can overcome our own disappointments and find the Lord can still turn bitter experiences around and make them work for our good.

Acts 8 gives us a real world picture of discipleship. Being a disciple is a privilege and a responsibility. It can also be a messy process that involves correction from the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and other believers.

Following Jesus does not exempt us from difficulty, but it does guarantee that God is working to turn every situation around. God can use every moment of our lives for the triumph of His kingdom in us and through us in the world.

We celebrated 25 years of Royal Family Kids Camp at Christian Chapel with a special message from Wayne Tesch, the founder of RFK. RFK provides a week of life-changing week of camp each summer for children in foster care.

The Holy Spirit can give us power to use all of our words for his purposes all of the time. In Acts 6-7 we Stephen teaches us that when our lives are soaked in the Scriptures we’re giving the Holy Spirit more material to use to inspire our speech.

The Holy Spirit fills us with power to fulfill the calling that God has on our lives. In Acts 6, the story of Stephen provides an encouraging picture of a Spirit empowered life.

Acts 6 teaches us that God can turn every obstacle we face into an opporutnity to follow Jesus, walk with the Holy Spirit, and find meaningful connections in community.

As followers of Christ, it’s important that we are sharing our faith with those around us. There are several things to keep in mind when we are planting seeds of God’s love in the hearts of others.

As the Gospel grows in our lives and in the world, we will face opposition. Acts 5:17-42 provides us with a framework for resiliency that enables our faith to thrive in every season.

We are meant to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit. When we choose to listen to, obey, and partner with the Spirit, God will move mightily through our lives.

Acts 5 gives us a picture of a supernatural community where signs signs, wonders, and healing confirm the Gospel. Divine healing is a gift that God still gives to us and often release through us as a sign of His grace and demonstration of His power.

The inauthentic life promises short-cuts and quick fixes. It preys on our desire to achieve what others have without doing what they have done. Acts 5 teaches us that the church is designed to be a place of authentic people living with honesty and integrity in our relationships with God and with each other.

Generosity is always a characteristic of growing disciples and growing churches. When we are generous towards each other, it shows itself in loving care, which serves as a powerful witness to the world.

Acts 4:23-31 provides a model to embrace when we are experiencing a crisis. In our moment of need we make a commitment to be together and pray together with other believers. God answers our crisis prayers by pouring out the power of the Holy Spirit on all of us so that we can stay on mission in crisis.

The word “door” is used often in Scripture, usually representing unique opportunities the Lord desires to provide for His children. In this message you discover some scriptural principles to help you recognize the right doors and encourage you to go through them. The best part is if you go through the doors God provides at the right time, in the right way, and with the right spirit, the Lord will do amazing things in your life.

When Jesus shows up some will reject him, many will accept him, and others will organize opposition against him. No matter the response, the Gospel keeps moving forward.

Acts 3 teaches us that when we have a need, Jesus is God’s answer. He brings healing, hope, and salvation to us.

Good Friday highlights the serious nature of our sin and the overwhelming love of God expressed in the sacrifice of Jesus that offers forgiveness and new life to us.

We are created to live in community with each other. Acts 2 gives us 6 characteristics of what that community looks like.

When we discover the truth about Jesus, it leads us to a point of decision.

The Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount are not Kingdom Principles we try to cultivate in ourselves but instead what Christ is working in us over time through the Holy Spirit. They are descriptive of the Christian Life - not prescriptive. The prescription is surrender.

Rubens & Steffi Cunha lead Global Gospel Action, a ministry that takes the Gospel all over the world through salvation and healing campaigns, school outreach, neighborhood evangelism, and resourcing local churches. Rubens shared all that God accomplished through their ministry last year and also took time to teach and pray for healing.

Acts 2:14-36 shows us that when the Holy Spirit releases his supernatural power in our life it causes a stir, which provokes a response, that creates a platform for us to make Jesus famous.

Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to give us supernatural power to accomplish his supernatural plans in our lives.

Acts 1 teaches us that we must wait for the power God has promised to us before attempting the plans that God has for us. Waiting isn’t an excuse for laziness or disobedience. Instead of getting discouraged, we can actively wait by obeying, praying, and working until God pours out his power and provision.

Acts 1:1-8 lays out three of the big themes in Acts: Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Church. We kicked off our new message series on Acts by exploring these three themes and the relevance of the book of Acts for us today.

Kingdom Builders don’t care who gets the credit, they only care that the job gets done. Sometimes we plant, sometimes we water, but it is always God who makes our gifts grow.

Pastor Mike Buie shared three biblical principles for being a Kingdom Builder with our finances.

We kicked off a new year with all of our pastors sharing how they are looking back with gratitude at 2022 and looking forward with anticipation to 2023.

On Christmas Day we celebrate the arrival of Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s ability to magnify Jesus to us and through us.

On Christmas Eve we remember that Jesus leads us on a path of peace.

When we follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit enables us to discover and follow God’s plan for our lives.

The Holy Spirit makes us whole, by making us holy through Jesus.

The impossible promises of God become the reality of our lives through the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

Stephen & Bailey Kuert are missionaries with Involved International. Through a partnership with the Kuert’s and the Burundi Assemblies of God, Christian Chapel has built 35 churches in Burundi in the last three years. Stephen shared updates from many of these congregations and encouraged us to continue to embrace the missionary nature of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus sends the gift of Spirit Baptism to us so that we will be filled with power to do all that he calls us to do.

The scriptures teach us that Jesus intends for every Christian to experience the Holy Spirit in a personal, powerful, and supernatural way after we become followers of Jesus. This experience of Spirit Baptism fills us with power to attempt and accomplish all that God calls us to do.

The Holy Spirit is our Helper. He comes alongside of us to help us follow Jesus in every moment.

Dr. Billy Wilson, President of Oral Roberts University, encouraged us to seek Jesus’ promise that we would be clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish all that God has for us.

The Holy Spirit is involved in every step of our spiritual journey. He helps us see the difference between right and wrong, reveals Jesus as our Savior, and assures us that we are part of God’s family.

The Holy Spirit is God, the Holy Spirit is a gift from Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is for you! Today, we kicked off a new message series exploring the person, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus calls us into community it is always a multi-generational experience where we learn from those who have gone before us, and take responsibility for those coming after us.

Jesus makes us insiders in his community. He then enables us to leverage our insider status to welcome outsiders into a transforming experience of community with us.

Every Christian is created to live in Formational Communities that help us follow Jesus, and in Missionary Communities where we help others discover new life in Christ.

Jesus designed us to live in a united community where our connection to him allows us to appreciate our differences and be at peace with each other.

God created us to experience the transforming power of Christ centered community. Too often we miss out on this experience because we give all of our time and energy to cheap imitations of community.

Our Associate Pastor Mike Buie has 40 years of experience helping others find their place in community. Today he shared insights into how we can all enjoy the benefits of community together and build God’s kingdom at the same time.

In this kickoff to a new message series on community, Pastor Chris explores why God made us for community and five common obstacles we must overcome to experience his plan.

Esther’s story teaches us that God arranges the details of our lives to get in us in the right place at the right time to be part of his kingdom action in the world.

Jesus knows about every problem we face and had a plan to overcome it. Nehemiah models an effective problem solving model for us that we can embrace and practice.

When we humble ourselves and ask for God’s wisdom, He promises to provide it! Solomon’s life teaches us that God’s is necessary and readily available for all of us.

Gideon’s story teaches us that we have an inheritance of receiving an identity from God that defies our circumstances, leads us on a new path, and results in God being glorified through us.

We learn through the story of Samuel that we have an inheritance of hearing God’s voice, and a responsibility to obey Him with He speaks to us. The life of Samuel teaches us how we can hear God’s voice for ourselves, and that we should also help others hear and discern God’s voice when He is speaking to them.

Daniel was unashamed of the God he served despite the culture he found himself in. Daniel was firm in standing out because he was committed, prayed, stood together with his friends, and his end goal was always the glorification of God. It’s through these examples that we can strive to glorify God in our own lives.
