A New Me

Romans 5:3 - 5

Suffering, Endurance, Character, and Hope.

Not only so, but we[a] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Pressing on in faith amid very trying and turbulent times. 

To be Holy is to be set apart from sin. Separated from sin. (Job Chp 11:14 - 15)

Lord, may nothing separate me from You today. Teach me how to choose only Your way today so each step will lead me closer to You. Help me walk by the Word and not my feelings. Help me to keep my heart pure and undivided. 

Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior, and my God. My soul is downcast within me (Psalm 42:4, 11)

In the same way, to bear much fruit (of the Holy Spirit), you have to remain connected to the vine- Jesus Christ. Apart from Him, we can’t bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit, just like it is impossible for a branch to bear fruit when disconnected from a tree. Therefore, rid yourself of anything that disconnects you from Jesus Christ by repenting of it to the Father, then place your faith in Jesus Christ His Son. This is how you will remain connected to Jesus Christ the Vine.
