They feature a wide range of bands including Anthony Gomes, Paul Butterfield, Muddy Waters, John Nemeth, Creedence Clearwater, Bob Seger, Marshal Tucker Band and more. The band played in many of Chicago's iconic venues including SOP's, Stay Out West, The infamous Gateway Theatre, and the legendary Thirsty Whale. After a few lineup changes, the band went dormant for many years. Something interesting happened in 2006. Mickey Thomas got tired of not playing out and had the bright idea of bringing the name of Fast Suzi back to bars around Chicago. Mickey and Matt set about to bring the music back. The band chatted with Paul and Ray and shared the backstory of Fast Suzi.

The band recorded two excellent albums, which every serious fan of AOR should have in their collection. The debut album “Teenage Magic”, was produced by Jeff Glixman, and not surprisingly, there is a real Kansas feel to many of the tracks. 1980 saw the release of the second and final Gambler album -”Love and Other Crimes”. Paul and Ray met with the band to find out what they have been doing since then.
