Tue, 13 Oct 2026 - 33min - 125 - Jesus’s Personal Concern Amidst Our Storms
Storms of life rarely announce themselves before they arrive. One moment life feels steady, and the next we find ourselves facing fear, uncertainty, financial pressure, difficult relationship, or decisions we don't know how to navigate. What storm are you facing right now?
Drawing from Matthew 8:23–27, Pastor Jim Richard reflects on the disciples’ frightening night on the Sea of Galilee and the fear that took over even though Jesus was right there with them.
This message brings that familiar story into the reality of our own lives, and points us to the confidence that comes from knowing that Jesus does not just calm storms, but he is with usin the boat, He is always with us, He is not asleep, and He has not lost control.
Mon, 05 Oct 2026 - 28min - 124 - The Chief Shepherd
Every chapter eventually comes to an end. The question is: Who is still there when it does?
As Living as God’s People comes to its final message, 1 Peter 5 points us beyond changing seasons and human leadership to Jesus; the Chief Shepherd. This closing message calls us to humility, courage, and perseverance as we learn to trust God through transition, release our anxieties to Him, and stand firm in the face of spiritual battle.
A fitting final word for a changing season: the Shepherd remains
Mon, 28 Sep 2026 - 21min - 123 - Serving One Another
A changed life should indeed be noticeable. What if serving isn’t just something a few people do at church, but part of what it means to be God’s people?
Drawing from 1 Peter 4, this message looks at the everyday ways Christians can make a difference: loving one another, opening our lives and homes to others, using our gifts, sharing the Gospel, and serving with the strength God gives.
Because everyone has a part to play, and when we serve together, the impact reaches further.
Mon, 21 Sep 2026 - 36min - 122 - Always Be Prepared
What happens when our faith is tested by suffering, hostility, or circumstances we never expected? In 1 Peter 3:8–22, we are reminded that the hope we carry can speak most clearly when life is difficult. When you endure hardship with grace, when you repay insult with blessing, you enter into
what the Apostle Paul referred to as “the fellowship of His sufferings.” The fellowship of the cross.
You get a sense of what it feels like to be Jesus, and you become more like him. Peter calls us not to repay evil with evil, but to pursue peace, do good, and remain ready to explain the hope we have in Christ, with gentleness and respect. This message points us to Jesus, who knows suffering firsthand, and reminds us that hardship does not have the final word. Our hope in Christ can shape the way we respond, the way we welcome others, and the way we witness to the world around us.

Tue, 08 Sep 2026 - 47min - 120 - Built Together
What does it mean to belong to God and live faithfully in a changing world? In this message from 1 Peter 2:4–11, we are reminded that our identity comes from God. We are the kind of people who are defined by the God who serve. As we go deep in our walk with God, we become growing people and as the saying goes, healthy things grow and growing things change. So as our growth begins with our salvation, let our spiritual growth and change be obvious to people around us, let our light shine before men to bring Glory and honor to God.Pastor Aaron Ross explores the value God gives us through redemption, the mercy we have received, and the responsibility that comes with being God’s people. Like many stones forming one house, we are built together as a diverse community with a shared identity and mission: to live honorably, represent Christ, and point others toward Him.
A timely reminder that who we are in Christ shapes how we live, how we treat one another, and how we carry the Gospel into the world.
Mon, 24 Aug 2026 - 46min - 119 - Love Letters From Jesus – Part 2
What is Jesus saying to His Church today? In this second message from the Love Letters From Jesus series, we explore His messages to the churches in Revelation 2–3. Through words of encouragement, warning, correction, and promise, Jesus calls His Church to return to its first love, resist compromise, remain faithful through trials, and shine brightly in the world.
These letters remind us that Jesus knows His Church intimately, sees both our struggles and our faithfulness, and calls us to overcome. As we listen to what the Spirit is saying, may we be challenged to examine our own lives, hold firmly to Christ, and faithfully walk through every open door He places before us.
Mon, 17 Aug 2026 - 47min - 118 - MARY: THE WOMAN WHO TRUSTED GOD

impossible. Join us as Pastor Jim Richards takes us down the path of what we learn from Mary's unwavering trust and faith in Christ as she features in one of the most fascinating stories in the world.Mon, 10 Aug 2026 - 26min - 117 - Dare To Be Fruitful

Mon, 20 Jul 2026 - 44min - 114 - Welcoming the Stranger as Jesus
Here is the radical truth of the Gospel: the King who is coming one day in final glory is already coming to us right now, completely disguised inside the vulnerable, the overlooked, and the displaced. Today, Sean Wood reminds us how true Christian hospitality moves past a simple, polite greeting and actually makes physical room for people who challenge our comfort zone. He highlights the incredible impact of the Chosen child sponsorship project in Guineales, Guatemala, where the traditional power dynamic is flipped: the children hold the photos and choose their sponsors, restoring their God-given dignity and voice.
This message is an urgent, beautifully disruptive invitation to stop viewing people as statistics, causes, or political issues, and start seeing them as the very face of Jesus Christ. If you've been running on autopilot or feeling disconnected from the heart of God's mission, this talk will completely recalibrate how you look at the world around you.

Mon, 13 Jul 2026 - 38min - 113 - A Love Letter From Jesus
You can be a great Christian on paper, hold all the right theology, call out hypocrisy, and work yourself to exhaustion for the church, and still completely miss the heart of God. It’s one of the scariest blind spots in the modern church, and it happens so slowly we rarely even notice the drift.
Today, we are honored to have Ron Davis takes us deep into the message "A Love Letter From Jesus" to unpack a blistering, yet beautiful reality check from the book of Revelation. Looking at the mega-prominent ancient church of Ephesus, we find a community that was checking every single religious box with flawless precision. They were orthodox, they were resilient, and they endured massive suffering. But underneath the busy exterior, Jesus had one devastating critique: *You have forsaken your first love.*
Ron directly addresses the spiritual fatigue so many of us are carrying, reminding us that Jesus isn’t asking you to try harder, struggle more, or treat your faith like a heavy checklist. He's simply asking you to love Him back. This is an eye-opening, highly engaging invitation to pull back the curtain on your own heart, stop running on religious autopilot, and reclaim the raw passion, freedom, and joy you had when you first encountered Christ.Loved this message? In this episode, Lead Pastor Aaron Ross brings us to the grand finale of our series, "REBELLION, RETRIBUTION, RESCUE: The Relentless Spiral of Judges," and things get incredibly real. We are landing at the absolute rock bottom of Israel's history. If you thought the earlier stories in this series were wild, Judges chapter 20 takes it to a whole new level. For the first time in generations, the nation actually unites "as one man", but instead of coming together to do something good or drive out toxic cultural influences, they launch a massive, devastating civil war against their own brothers.
Pastor Aaron dives deep into the chaos of what happens when a society completely rejects God’s leadership, tries to operate on "hog-headed righteousness," and treats God like a lucky charm to bless bad decisions they’ve already made. It’s a sobering, fast-paced, and highly relevant look at how easily we can become the very things we say we despise when we let self-justification run the show.
But this finale isn't just a history lesson on a nation turning on itself; it's a massive wake-up call and a beautiful reminder of why we desperately need a King like Jesus , Jesus sacrificed His own life to save us, even while we were unfaithful and in sin. We need a King who does not just purge evil from our society, but who changes our hearts from the inside out and purges evil from our hearts through his own “victorious defeat” on the cross. As we look at the ruins of Benjamin, we are reminded that God’s grace is far greater than our sin.”
Turn the volume up, share this with a friend, and join us for the final chapter of Judges as we talk about why God's grace is always infinitely bigger than our biggest failures.

Mon, 15 Jun 2026 - 48min - 109 - Samson: Disruptor to the Philistine Status Quo
When it comes to living a life of holiness, we have a choice: will God be glorified through us, or in spite of us? In this week's message, our Lead Pastor Aaron Ross takes us to the absolute deepest and darkest part of Israel's downward spiral to look at the chaotic life of Samson whose biography reads as a cautionary tale of a leader who was physically strong but spiritually bankrupt.
Samson stands as a vivid mirror for the modern believer. He was an individual blessed with God-given unique and immense physical strength, yet he was incredibly weak mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, he continually allowed himself to be mastered by lust, foolishness, and personal vengeance. His story serves as a powerful reminder that while God can use our flaws to accomplish His purposes, He never endorses a compromised lifestyle.Pastor Aaron challenges us to look beyond the Sunday school version of this story to see its deeper spiritual reality: we cannot expect to live in structural rebellion and escape the painful harvest of our choices.
Yet, the ultimate takeaway of Samson’s life isn't his failure, it is the relentless mercy of God. Though Samson's story ends in a tomb, it points forward to Jesus Christ, whose outstretched hands on the cross secured an eternal kingdom rather than a temporary, physical victory.Mon, 08 Jun 2026 - 51min - 108 - Jephthah: The Negotiator and Manipulator
What happens when God’s people look exactly like the culture around them? Moving into the fifth part of our series, "REBELLION, RETRIBUTION, RESCUE: The Relentless Spiral of Judges", we examine the tragic, chaotic legacy of Jephthah.
Pastor Aaron unpacks the sobering story of Jephthah: a social outcast turned warlord who tried to bargain with a king and manipulate Almighty God. Jephthah was a brilliant negotiator and a mighty warrior, yet his worldview was deeply fractured by pagan habits. He famously made an unnecessary, tragic vow to God in an attempt to buy divine favor; a striking reflection of the toxic 'quid pro quo' religion of his day.We live in a western world where the church often feels like it is in retreat or compromise. Jephthah serves as a stark warning of "Canaanization": the slow process of letting the surrounding culture squeeze us into its mold until we can no longer distinguish biblical truth from worldly practices, it shows us exactly what happens when believers lose their distinctiveness and adopt the habits, language, and transactional faith of the society around them.
This also serves as an urgent reminder to us that we cannot successfully ask for God’s rescue while actively rejecting His rule. Tune in for a highly compelling study on human initiative versus divine appointment, the danger of toxic vows, and how God's grace continually reaches down to us even when we are at our worst.Mon, 01 Jun 2026 - 51min - 107 - Gideon: A Mixed-Bag of Reassurance and Deliverance
We are back with another episode in our series tracking the downward spiral of ancient Israel. In this episode, Pastor Aaron Ross opens up Judges chapter 7 to unpack the life of Gideon.
Many of us live under the cultural weight of ideological, political, or deeply personal wars, leaving us feeling overwhelmed or ill-equipped. Gideon felt the exact same way. Tune in as we discuss how a deep grace runs under our mixed-up lives, and how our human weaknesses can actually become the platform for divine strength.
Three Things You Need to Hear Today:
1 You Don't Have to Be a Juggernaut: God uses ordinary, mixed-up people who struggle just like we do.
2 The 300-Man Reality: God often reduces our resources so that we stop relying on ourselves and start relying on Him.
3 Weakness is a Platform: Your shortcomings aren’t stopping God; they are the exact places where His power is put on display.
Don't wait until you feel "strong enough" to step out. Tune in to discover how your limitations are the exact space where God wants to reveal His power, Amen!!
Mon, 25 May 2026 - 53min - 106 - Ehud: "A Left-handed man from the Right-Handed Clan."
This week, led by Pastor Aaron Ross, we continue our deep dive into the dark age of Israel with the story of Ehud in Judges chapter 3. If you are currently battling with something that feels that it is binding you up; whether it is addiction, or a sense of lack, this episode is a timely reminder that Jesus is still in the business of delivering his people.
Inside the episode Pastor Aaron Discussed-
Surprise Tactics: The strategic significance behind Ehud's left-handedness in a culture favoring the right hand. The Risk of Human Schemes: Why human effort falls short and why we must rely entirely on God's favor for true success. A Haunting Foreshadowing: Looking at how the tools meant for deliverance can be corrupted when a nation turns inward. The Shadow of Christ: How Ehud's unconventional mission prefigures Jesus, the ultimate 'outsider' King who conquered death single-handedly. Ehud Brought temporary peace but Jesus crushed our ultimate enemy once and for all.Wed, 20 May 2026 - 40min - 105 - Deborah: “A Mother in Israel”
This week led by Pastor Aaron Ross, we took a deep dive back into The book of Judges chapters 4 and 5 and shifted our focus to Deborah, the only female judge, who rose to lead during a time of extreme oppression and spiritual decline. In a culture that often sidelined women, God raised Deborah, she was not just a judge she was a mother, a prophetess and a leader who saw what others were too afraid to face. We saw the power of availability in Deborah who was Leading from just underneath a Palm tree yet her wisdom and willingness to be used by God shifted the destiny of a nation. Sometimes, God does not look for the most qualified but he look for the most surrendered.
There are other unexpected heroes like Jael, a courageous non-Israelite woman who God used to deliver the final blow to the enemy, God can use you in your everyday surroundings to win major victories. In our daily lives, while we strive to identify if we are a "Barak" waiting for a sign or a "Deborah" ready to lead, we should first recognize that success is not about our strength but about following God, the one who has already won the battles. Step out in faith, stand firm against spiritual decline and watch God go before you. Amen.
Mon, 11 May 2026 - 46min - 104 - God's "If" by Pastor Kevin Garrett
This week we were joined by guest speaker Pastor Kevin Garrett and his powerful message on “God’s IF”. Drawing from Isaiah 58:10-11, Pastor Kevin explores God’s promise; God says 'IF' you spend yourself, your time and resources on the hungry and oppressed, your light will rise in the darkness and he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land.
Pastor Kevin also shares how his team is bringing hope to the Thai/Myanmar border Southeast Asia despite ongoing conflict, he has been witnessing God’s light breaking through the darkness of civil war.
He talked about how choosing God’s "IF" challenges him, helps him re-evaluate his priorities, think about eternity, ask important questions about what really matters and live selflessly. Living a selfless life leads to strength and spiritual fulfillment.
Mon, 04 May 2026 - 32min - 103 - Othniel: God is my Strength
The Isrealites stopped halfway in their conquest because they got comfortable, lethargic and complacent. They traded God's best and was trapped in a cycle of "covenantal amnesia," failing to fully occupy the land and turning to false gods. Through Othniel whose name means "Lion of God," we see how God isn't bound by our social background or family history to bring about deliverance. Isreal found a surprising ray of hope in the first judge , Othniel who was technically an outsider. God's grace is always greater than his judgement. The book of Judges reveals a nation in desperate need of a redeemer. They needed more than military relief. The lawlessness and waywardness of the period proved that human effort is not enough”.

- 101 - Getting To Know The Real Jesus
Our world looks at Jesus as a cartoon character or a caricature. This cartoon or caricature shows Jesus locked in the dark ages of a primitive Jewish society totally unrelated to the joys and trials of modern-day Richmond with its high-speed internet and artificial intelligence. This cartoon character Jesus neither understands nor appreciates the challenges of modern life. As Christ followers, the last thing we want is to commit our lives to a cartoon character Jesus. So, it is vitally important for us to get to know the real Jesus.
Thu, 16 Apr 2026 - 30min - 100 - Easter
Christianity teaches how God became a man to pursue humanity with his love and grace through the cross and the empty tomb, merely than through a code of ethics or self effort. We find the grace of God as we humbly repent of our sins and receive His Spirit that transforms in a personal relationship that heals us from the inside out. The empty tomb literally reveals that the power of God could not be contained by death and that from the inside of the tomb rose the power of God to transform lives.
Thu, 16 Apr 2026 - 39min - 99 - Good Friday
And as we look at the Good Friday story, there can be no doubt but that Jesus is the main character of this passage and of all history. But the minor characters say a lot too, and they tell us something about ourselves. The central theme from this passage is Innocence in Agony. While the world rejected Jesus, those who were marginalized recognized His Kingship, and His righteousness.
Thu, 16 Apr 2026 - 34min - 98 - Palm Sunday: The Visitation of the King
The Palm Sunday Passage is where the central section of Jesus’s long journey to Jerusalem in Luke’s Gospel is about to conclude. As Jesus approaches the city, the atmosphere is charged with high expectation. Many expect that the Kingdom of God will appear immediately.
Jesus uses this moment as an opportunity to correct his followers’ timing, and to redefine His kingship. He moves from the private instruction of His servants, to a public, royal entry into Jerusalem; the city that will ultimately reject Him.
All of which we which we will see in today’s message, the third in our Easter series, and titled “Palm Sunday: The Visitation of the King,” and looking at Luke 19.
Wed, 01 Apr 2026 - 43min - 97 - From Bethany to Gethsemane
In our passage for today, Jesus leads his disciples in the Passover meal (which they would have expected Him to do). But he did so in an unusual way. He drew the meaning of the whole meal onto Himself. He offered a new commandment, a new covenant, one which we as followers of Christ have been brought into.
And for we who are familiar with the Easter story, we may take all of this for granted. But it may well have come as a great shock to the disciples, which we will see in today’s message, the second in our Easter series, and titled “From Bethany to Gethsemane,” and looking at Matthew 26.
Wed, 25 Mar 2026 - 50min - 96 - Jesus at Bethany
God knows what we need better than we do. I heard the saying recently: “I’m grateful for all the prayer requests God didn’t say yes to.” Sometimes we think we know what’s best for us, and when. But God knows better than we do. Sometimes the things we think would be good for us, would actually be bad for us. And other times the things we think will be bad for us, are actually God’s way of bringing us something newer and better.
And on that note, oftentimes, the timing is as important than the result itself. And we’ll see all of this in our message today, the first in our Easter series, and titled “Jesus at Bethany.”

Human power may be impressive. It may even appear threatening at times. But it is limited. In the story of the fiery furnace, we are assured that God is the living God. He is present in the times of our trials. And in the faithfulness of his followers, we are reminded of the importance of a long obedience in the same direction. Faithfulness to God outlasts the flourishes of earthly pride.
Tue, 10 Feb 2026 - 51min - 91 - Daniel 2
Daniel is promoted to rule over Babylon and all of its wise men. His peers are appointed his administrators at his request. We see how Human achievements and honours are to be held lightly. Worldly wealth and power are as nothing in the face of God’s sovereign plan for humanity. God remains in control of human history, even when the powerful oppress and dominate. Ultimately every Kingdom has feet of clay and only the Stone, God’s Kingdom, will stand forever and fill the earth with righteousness. This is both a caution and a comfort.
Mon, 02 Feb 2026 - 50min - 90 - Daniel 1
Although we are not in Babylonian exile, we are (like the Judeans) called to be faithful servants of God in a cultural context where oftentimes many are resistant to the things of God. And yet, it is precisely within that context that we need to look to Jesus and understand how to live well, and for Him.

- 88 - The King's Reign: The Purpose of the Crown
We conclude our series by looking ahead, journeying with the Magi to acknowledge the ultimate authority of the One born in the cradle. This message focuses on the Crown, Christ’s ultimate Lordship, and the hope instilled by the knowledge that He is coming again. We are called to live as a kingdom of priests, serving the King whose coming brings order out of chaos and whose reign inspires our worship.
Fri, 09 Jan 2026 - 37min - 87 - The Year-End Inventory: The Purpose of Reflection and Vision
This message, intentionally placed between the profound reflection of Christmas and the dawn of a New Year, invites us to take a spiritual year-end inventory. We will look back, like Mary, and “treasure up all these things and ponder them in our hearts,” acknowledging God’s faithfulness throughout the past year. We will then look forward, pressing toward the future vision of the Crown and the high call of Christ Jesus, ensuring the eternal purpose of Christmas shapes our destiny and intentions in the year to come. The gift of Christmas, to be complete, must be received and fully utilized.
Mon, 05 Jan 2026 - 49min - 86 - The Greatest Gift: The Purpose of the Cradle

God showed His love for humanity by sending Jesus to earth as a Baby, making Him the ultimate and Greatest Gift. This message highlights the miracle of the Light of the World coming into the darkness and reminds us that His love is the foundation for an unshakable confidence.
Mon, 22 Dec 2025 - 45min - 85 - The Purpose of Reconciliation: Closing the Gap
Christmas is fundamentally a time for reconciliation; that is, the work of God to reconnect us to Him. Just as we explored in Genesis, God desires to “close the gap” caused by sin, and through Christ, He has given us the ministry of peace to mend our fractured relationship with Him and with one another. We will explore how true joy comes from being made right with God and others.
Tue, 16 Dec 2025 - 42min - 84 - The Purpose of Salvation: The Only Cure for Sin
Jesus is God incarnate, who came to us to be our Saviour. The entire reason for Christmas is the love of God, and the purpose of Christ's life was to bring salvation. “Life is short, death is sure. Sin the cause, Christ the cure.” We will reflect on the truth that the only cure for sin is the blood of Christ on the cross, a gift freely given by grace that we do not deserve and cannot repay (free to us, but at great cost to God). The Cradle and the Cross are two sides of the same promise.
Mon, 08 Dec 2025 - 55min - 83 - The Purpose of Celebration: God is With You
The angelic announcement of “good news of great joy that will be for all the people” is our invitation to celebrate. Advent is first a time to celebrate that God loves us unconditionally, regardless of our performance or faults. This message will empower us to embrace the celebration of Immanuel: God is with us.
Mon, 01 Dec 2025 - 49min - 82 - The Anchor Leg: Finishing Strong and Passing the Baton
Joseph's final instructions to carry his bones out of Egypt serve as a powerful symbol of faith and hope. This act shows that "the offspring of Abraham now rightfully occupied the land of promise." This message challenges us to live purposefully, leave a lasting legacy of blessing and honour, and courageously pass the "baton" of faith to the next generation, preparing them to run their leg of the race with strength, vision, and adaptability.
Mon, 24 Nov 2025 - 43min - 81 - Parental Declarations: Praying for Our Children's Destiny
Drawing inspiration from Jacob's powerful Family Blessing over Ephraim and Manasseh, this message will highlight the great spiritual authority that parents have to make faith-inspired declarations. This blessing carries such weight that it "modifies Israel’s tribal structure," reinforcing how a parent's declaration can profoundly impact the destiny of the next generation. This message, reinforced by the daily declaration of parents, empowers parents to make steadfast assertive declarations over their children and grandchildren, influencing their spiritual journey and redirecting their destiny, even when they seem to be wandering.
Tue, 18 Nov 2025 - 39min - 80 - Stewarding the Next Generation
Joseph's life exemplifies wise leadership that impacts future generations. This message focuses on how to raise "world shapers" and the critical role of mentorship, vision, and strategic planning in empowering the young, while honouring the legacy of those who have paved the way and intentionally passing on the blessing.

This message will offer hope and guidance to those burdened by disconnects within their families, emphasizing God's desire to "close the gap" between generations, break cycles of dishonour, and restore the flow of blessing and an "overlap" of shared values.
Mon, 03 Nov 2025 - 45min - 78 - Overcoming Family Patterns: Jacob's Journey of Transformation
Jacob's story illustrates how God works through flawed family dynamics and individual struggles. This message will address how God’s "thousand generation covenant" can overcome "sinful family patterns" and the destructive cycle of dishonour (as seen when Jacob deceives his father for the blessing), bringing restoration and the powerful restoration of blessing, even when previous generations have wandered.

Tue, 14 Oct 2025 - 32min - 76 - The Vision of Generations: God's Enduring Covenant
God's covenant with Abraham, backed up with promises, initiates a multi-generational plan, teaching us that our individual destiny is a "team event" connected to those who came before and those who will follow. This message explores how God's program of blessing for Abraham and his descendants is meant to be a source of blessing for all peoples, empowering us to prosper in every way God intends.
Tue, 07 Oct 2025 - 29min - 75 - Reconciling our Stories: Acknowledging Past, Embracing Future
On the Sunday of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation weekend, we introduce our series by reflecting on God’s original design for humanity and the brokenness that entered the world. Drawing from the early chapters of Genesis, we will explore how sin led to shame, fractured relationships, and patterns of generational sin. We will examine humanity's attempts to build apart from God, which resulted in division and scattering, highlighting the deep need for reconciliation. This message sets the stage for our journey through Genesis, inviting us to consider how we can pursue truth, healing, and genuine reconciliation in our own intergenerational relationships, in our wider community, and in our country as we seek to restore the flow of blessing and live as image-bearers of a God who continuously pursues us, in spite of our own brokenness.
Mon, 29 Sep 2025 - 42min - 74 - A Lasting Connection: United in Joy
This message will focus on the essential nature of spiritual family and why relationships are the bedrock of our church life. In a post-pandemic world where isolation is a reality, Paul's joy at hearing about the Thessalonians' faith and love reminds us that our shared spiritual vitality is found in meaningful connection. Paul's prayer for their faith to grow and for them to be "holy and blameless" is a call to nurture and build up one another. We'll unpack our values of being multicultural and intergenerational and address the challenge of extravagantly welcoming new people, and assuring them that they belong, fostering the kind of relational community where people are truly known and their needs are met. This message will also feature a Life Groups’ emphasis, and the significance of connecting with a Life Group community.
Mon, 22 Sep 2025 - 42min - 73 - A Courageous Hope: Building Bridges
People are often looking for a church that is authentic and has a clear purpose. This message examines Paul's ministry in Thessalonica, which was marked by integrity, boldness, and deep affection for the people. Paul’s ministry was a model of "building bridges" by sharing not only the gospel but also his very life, "like a…mother" and a "father." We'll explore our vision to be "renewed by God's love and joining Him in renewing the city that we love," and learn how to build relational bridges with our community and with one another, driven by a selfless love that mirrors Christ's.
Mon, 15 Sep 2025 - 43min - 72 - A Living Faith: A Community of Love
Our church’s mission is to "extend God's love to all." This message will focus on the Thessalonians' exemplary faith, love, and hope, which became a model for other believers. We'll explore how our own genuine faith in Jesus must be expressed through a love that is active, tangible, and visible to our community. In a culture where people are often disengaged, we will discover that our vibrant, interconnected relationships are a powerful testimony. This message will challenge us to move from passive to active participation, so our faith is not just a belief but a lived reality that draws people in.

Wed, 14 May 2025 - 33min - 55 - Knowing God and Knowing Self
One of the pivotal factors in our spiritual development is understanding who God truly is, as well as knowing ourselves in relation to Him. Knowing ourselves and knowing God are interdependent; one cannot exist without the other. True Christian transformation is possible when both our understanding of God and our understanding of ourselves are deeply known
Tue, 06 May 2025 - 52min - 54 - Raised for Me
This message celebrates the continuing impact of Easter in our daily lives. While the resurrection of Jesus is the triumphant centre of our faith, it’s not just an event we look back on—it’s the foundation of a new way of living. In Romans 6, Paul reminds us that we have been united with Christ not only in His death but also in His resurrection. Because He was raised, we too walk in newness of life. This message invites us to embrace that renewal—of hope, identity, and purpose—and challenges us to live with resurrection power today, tomorrow, and every day that follows. Also an opportunity to ramp up excitement and anticipation for baptism.
Mon, 28 Apr 2025 - 39min - 53 - He was Resurrected

This sermon will focus on the power of the resurrection, how it changes everything, and how we are invited to live in the hope of Christ's victory, both now and forever.

Mon, 14 Apr 2025 - 40min - 51 - He Was Accused: The Scandal of the Cross and the Love of God
As Jesus stands before Pilate, He is falsely accused and condemned to death. In this powerful message, we explore the injustice Jesus faced and how He, though innocent, took on our guilt and shame. By His wounds, we are healed. We are reminded that, though we deserve condemnation, Jesus was willing to be accused in our place, offering us forgiveness and freedom.
Thu, 10 Apr 2025 - 43min - 50 - He was Forsaken
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus experienced profound loneliness and anguish as He prayed to the Father. He was forsaken by His disciples, and soon He would be forsaken by God Himself as He took on the sins of the world. In this message, we reflect on the emotional and spiritual agony Jesus endured and how, in our own times of fear and loneliness, we can find solace in His presence and strength in His sacrifice.

- 48 - Betrayed for Me
As we begin our Lenten journey, we reflect on the betrayal of Jesus by Judas, His disciple. Jesus knew the cost of His mission: betrayal by one who had walked with Him. Yet, even in betrayal, Jesus extended love and forgiveness. This message challenges us to examine our own hearts and consider how we, too, may betray Jesus through our choices and actions, and how He offers forgiveness and restoration. It also serves as a reminder to us to forgive those whom we feel have betrayed us.

The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith. If it did not happen, our faith is in vain. But if it is true, it changes everything. This sermon will present the historical evidence for the resurrection, demonstrating that faith in Jesus is not blind but based on solid historical facts. This sermon will also emphasize that having examined all the facts and uncovering the basis for why we believe what we believe, we still need to exercise faith.
Mon, 24 Feb 2025 - 43min - 43 - A Ready Defence: Why Do We Believe What We Believe
Many believe that faith and reason are opposed to one another, but Scripture shows that they go hand in hand. This sermon will introduce the importance of apologetics and explore how we can use reason and logic to understand the existence of God and the truth of Christianity. We will examine Paul’s encounter with the philosophers in Athens and how he used reason to point them to Christ.

Mon, 13 Jan 2025 - 51min - 38 - Epiphany
Jesus is no longer a baby. The journey of the wise men points to the universal reach of Jesus’s kingship, a Saviour not just for Israel but for the world. Who are we in this story? Are we the wise men who recognize Jesus? Or do we dismiss the reality of Jesus? Lots of people are happy for Jesus to remain baby Jesus in the manger in December. But are they ready for Him to be King in January and through all the years? It took a king (three kings in fact) to recognize The King. The challenge remains: do we recognize Jesus as King and Lord in our lives today?

As we hear the story of the angel’s word to Zechariah, we’re reminded that God’s promises to His people are never forgotten. Even in silence, God is at work, transforming old disappointments into new hope. The Holy Spirit is present in Mary’s and Elizabeth’s pregnancies. Elizabeth’s child, John the Baptist, prepares the way for the one who will come after him: Jesus. Following His resurrection, Jesus announces that one will come after Him: the comforter and friend, the Holy Spirit (who was there from the beginning) The new is old and the old is new.
Fri, 06 Dec 2024 - 49min - 32 - “Hope of All the Earth:” The Holy One of Israel
Our journey begins with the anticipation of the Messiah, woven through centuries of prophecy and waiting. The Jewish lineage of Jesus and the “skeletons” in his genealogy illustrate God’s unexpected choice to bring hope through ordinary, often broken people. This message encourages us to wait expectantly for God’s promises, knowing that He is faithful. We are living in the anticipation, which prophecy is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant analogue of the New Covenant concept of “already but not yet” with respect to the resurrection of the saints.
Tue, 03 Dec 2024 - 54min - 31 - Jesus: The Fulfillment of the Covenant
In the concluding message of the series, we’ll see how Jesus fulfills the Law and the Prophets, connecting the Old and New Testaments in a powerful way.
