Tue, 06 Oct 2026 - 178 - Off Track: What’s The Backstory?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered, and share an insight or two. There are no guests, no scripts.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Ahlam Bolooki, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation, and one simple sentence that stayed with me: “Everyone makes sense once you know the backstory.”
What’s Their Backstory?
We’re incredibly quick to judge people. Ignorance is easier than curiosity. It’s easier to label someone than to take the time to understand what might actually be going on beneath the surface.
We fill in the gaps using our own experiences, patterns and unconscious biases. We think we know someone’s “type” because they remind us of someone we’ve met before. But their story could be completely different.
And context changes communication. From something as small as a bad journey to a meeting, to pressure at work, challenges at home or experiences stretching all the way back to childhood, the more we understand someone’s backstory, the better we understand the human in front of us.
So who have you judged recently without really knowing their backstory?
Honest, reflective and straight off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Fri, 02 Oct 2026 - 177 - Can Books Survive AI? Ahlam Bolooki on Reading, Creativity and Human Stories
Can books and human creativity survive in a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence?
Ahlam Bolooki, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation, joins Luca Allam to explore the future of reading, storytelling and creativity in the age of AI.
She discusses why stories remain essential to the human experience, how parents can nurture a love of reading in children, and whether the next generation will read more or less. Ahlam also reflects on leading a nonprofit organisation, supporting Emirati writers and strengthening the UAE’s literary ecosystem.
Beyond books, she shares personal lessons about motherhood, leadership, grief and the lasting influence of her late mother—including why motherhood taught her more about leadership than any professional course.
An inspiring conversation about protecting human creativity, finding purpose and remembering that every day is a gift.
Mon, 28 Sep 2026 - 176 - Off Track: Talk Human to Me
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week's episode is a little more personal. After launching my first book, Talk Human, I found myself thinking about the one idea that sits at the heart of it:
Connection Starts With You
For most of my life, I thought connection came from other people. Being liked. Being validated. Feeling supported and loved.
I thought reaching the top of my career and becoming a CEO would somehow give me that feeling. Instead, I realised I had become disconnected from myself.
In this episode, I share what happened when I started trying to understand who I was without the title, why reconnecting with myself changed the way I communicate, and why that journey ultimately became Talk Human.
Because great communication isn't just about storytelling, presentations or saying the right words. It's about knowing who you are and giving yourself permission to show up as that person.
And in a world where AI is making our emails, presentations and posts sound increasingly the same, that individuality matters more than ever. The more technology advances, the more our humanity becomes our differentiator. AI might just force us to become more human than ever before.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Fri, 25 Sep 2026 - 175 - Off Track: Are You a Dog or a Horse?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with James Michael Lafferty, and his brilliantly simple analogy when it comes to what you respond best to: are you a dog or a horse?
Some of us respond to encouragement. Others respond to being challenged. But we naturally communicate with people in the way we like to be communicated with. In this episode, I explore why real connection starts with understanding yourself, then working just as hard to understand the person in front of you and how to best connect with them.
Because communication isn’t just about what you want to say. It’s about how they need to hear it. So how often do you really think about what the other person needs from you?
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart. Off my chest and off the cuff. Welcome to Off Track.

Tue, 15 Sep 2026 - 173 - Off Track: Get to the Point
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life. This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Sally Moussa Hajjar, and one simple thing she said that stuck with me: just tell people what you actually want.
What Do You Really Want?
Every conversation has an agenda. But how often is the stated agenda actually the real agenda?
We see it in performance reviews, client meetings, friendships and relationships. We talk around what we really want, avoid the elephant in the room and then wonder why we walk away disappointed. In this episode, I explore something I use regularly in my communication coaching: understanding your real agenda, understanding theirs, and finding the message that connects the two.
Because sometimes saying what you really want can feel uncomfortable. But it can also be incredibly disarming. It can clear up misunderstandings, repair damaged relationships and stop us wasting time talking around what everyone already knows.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Tue, 08 Sep 2026 - 171 - Off Track: What Are We Hungry For?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Hyther Nizam, CEO of Zoho. He came from very little, joined Zoho in his first job and, 28 years later, became its CEO.
His story got me thinking about one word: Hunger.
Does struggle make us hungrier for success? And if we work hard to give our children the comfort and opportunities we didn't have, could we unintentionally take away some of the hunger that helped us succeed?
Then there's the world we're living in today. Food in minutes. Entertainment on demand. Answers instantly through AI. We're becoming conditioned to expect everything now, including success.
Maybe every generation faces a different challenge. One struggles to create comfort. The next inherits that comfort, while growing up in a world telling them to want more, faster.
So what are we actually hungry for? And how do we give the next generation more without taking away their hunger for it?
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Fri, 04 Sep 2026 - 170 - Hyther Nizam: From Humble Beginnings to Leading Zoho Middle East & Africa
How did Hyther Nizam go from losing his father at 16 and nearly abandoning his education to becoming CEO of Zoho Middle East and Africa?
In this episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Hyther shares his remarkable 28-year journey from joining Zoho when it had only 25–30 employees to leading the technology company across one of its most important regions.
He discusses Zoho’s battle with global technology giants, its commitment to avoiding layoffs during the coming “AI tsunami,” and why the company refuses to profit from customer data. The conversation explores artificial intelligence, privacy, employee loyalty, affordable technology and the power of giving talented people the trust and freedom to succeed.
An inspiring underdog story about resilience, leadership and building success without sacrificing people or principles.

Tue, 01 Sep 2026 - 169 - Off Track: I Was Wrong - Abdurahman Afia
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Abdurahman Afia, a man whose life is full of contradictions. From wealth to homelessness, prejudice to acceptance, struggling as a leader to eventually teaching leadership, he has changed in ways most of us probably couldn't imagine.
But there were three simple words he said that stayed with me:
I Was Wrong
He said it. But why is that so difficult for so many of us to say?
We expect ourselves to grow, yet somehow expect our opinions, beliefs and even the people around us to remain the same. We see it everywhere — in politics, social media, work and relationships. Change your mind and someone will remind you what you said five years ago. Admit you were wrong and somehow it's treated as weakness rather than growth.
But if 43-year-old me thought exactly like 23-year-old me, had the same opinions, behaved the same way and saw the world through the same eyes, then have I really grown at all?Maybe being wrong isn't the problem.
Maybe refusing to change because we're too attached to who we used to be is. You are allowed to change your mind. You are allowed to change your behaviour. And you are allowed to outgrow yourself, even if the world isn't ready for you to do it.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Tue, 07 Jul 2026 - 164 - Off Track: The Freedom Nobody Talks About
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Chef Hala Ayash, but it became a conversation about something much bigger than food, television or social media. It became a conversation about freedom. The freedom to stop living by other people's expectations, the freedom that comes from truly knowing yourself, and the freedom to be authentic without feeling the need to perform.
Here are the three insights that stayed with me.
1️⃣ Real Freedom Begins When You Stop Trying To Impress Everyone
For years, I was chasing approval without even realising it. I wanted to be liked, respected and successful, following a version of success that society had quietly handed to me. Today, I feel freer than ever because I'm no longer trying to impress anyone. I'm saying no more often, choosing what genuinely makes me happy and living life on my terms. Maybe freedom isn't about having more choices. Maybe it's finally realising you've always had one.
2️⃣ Your 40s Might Be Your Second Adulthood
My 40s have felt like a complete restart. Therapy helped me understand who I am, but just as importantly, who I'm not. I'm making decisions based on what I want rather than what I think I should want, and that's been incredibly liberating. As Dr. Saliha once said on the podcast, we all need to give ourselves permission to be ourselves. I see that same transformation in my coaching clients every day, and it's often the moment everything begins to change.
3️⃣ Authenticity Isn't About Sharing Everything
I've never believed authenticity means sharing every personal moment online. I'm learning to open up more, but only when it feels right and when it genuinely adds value, not simply for attention or engagement. People are far better at recognising what's real than we give them credit for. Maybe authenticity isn't about sharing more. Maybe it's about sharing what matters.
The older I get, the more I realise that freedom comes from questioning the rules we've inherited, trusting who you are and having the courage to stop performing for everyone else.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Fri, 03 Jul 2026 - 163 - Chef Hala Ayash on Marriage, Motherhood & Finding Yourself
What happens when a woman stops living for expectations and starts living for herself?
In this deeply honest episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Hala Ayash opens up about motherhood, relationships, identity, self-worth, authenticity, social media pressure, marriage, boundaries, and finding yourself again in your 40s.
Known as one of the most recognizable faces in Arab cooking television, Chef Hala shares the emotional reality behind public success, becoming a mother at a young age, navigating life as a single mom, and redefining happiness beyond society’s expectations.
Together, Luca and Hala explore:
• Marriage, labels modern relationships
• Motherhood early responsibility
• Fame, TV pressure public image
• Why your 40s can feel liberating
• Boundaries, healing emotional growth
• Social media authenticity vs performance
• Self-worth, femininity identity
• The pressure women face to “have it all”
This is a vulnerable, emotional, funny, and deeply human conversation about growth, reinvention, and learning to live life on your own terms.

Tue, 30 Jun 2026 - 162 - Off Track: Are we Chasing The Wrong Things?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Mo Gawdat and three ideas that stayed with me long after the cameras stopped rolling. Ideas around peace, curiosity and the quiet habits that ultimately shape who we become. Three simple reminders that, in a world constantly telling us to chase more, encouraged me to slow down and appreciate what really matters.
1️⃣ Maybe We're All Just Looking For Peace
For most of my life I've been chasing something. Success. Progress. The next opportunity. But peace has always felt far more elusive. I've experienced moments where I've literally told myself to take a mental picture because I never wanted that feeling to end. Today, I'm still searching for lasting peace, but I do have peace of mind. Peace that I'm finally building a life and career that feels true to who I am. Maybe peace isn't about having a perfect life. Maybe it's simply knowing you're walking in the right direction.
2️⃣ Every Person Is A Lesson
This podcast has become my classroom. I never enjoyed studying at school, but I absolutely love learning from people. Every guest has taught me something about business, leadership, grief, faith, parenting or simply what it means to be human. Every conversation reminds me that we're far more alike than we are different. We all want to be understood. We all carry struggles nobody else sees. Listening isn't just one of the greatest gifts you can give another person. It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
3️⃣ Life Is Built On Ordinary Days
We spend so much time waiting for life's biggest moments, but when I look back, it's the ordinary days that matter most. Recording Off Track every Saturday. Releasing new episodes every week. Showing up for my clients when I'm tired. Going to the gym. Reading bedtime stories to my boys. One moment rarely changes your life, but thousands of ordinary moments quietly do. Maybe routine isn't boring after all. Maybe it's where purpose, consistency and even peace are built.
The older I get, the more I realise that a meaningful life isn't built by chasing extraordinary moments. It's built by finding peace in where you are, staying endlessly curious about the people around you and showing up, day after day, for the things that matter most.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Tue, 23 Jun 2026 - 160 - Off Track: Is it Coming Home?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode is a little different. Inspired by the World Cup, but also by something I’ve come to realise over the years. Football is rarely just football. The teams we support, the moments we remember and the emotions we feel often tell a much bigger story about who we are, where we come from and what matters most to us.
As the tournament unfolds, I find myself reflecting on childhood memories, family connections, national identities and why this competition continues to capture the imagination of billions of people around the world.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ The Teams We Support Often Tell The Story Of Our Lives
Born in England, raised in Nigeria and with an Italian mother, I’ve spent most of my life supporting three different national teams for three very different reasons. England represents where I was born. Italy represents my family. Nigeria represents my childhood. This World Cup feels different because for the first time, I only have one team left to support. And strangely, that has brought a sense of clarity.
2️⃣ The Best Teams Aren’t Always The Most Talented
So far, the teams that have impressed me most are the ones playing for something bigger than themselves. Whether it’s England, Argentina, France or even the USA riding the energy of being hosts, there’s a lesson here about teamwork, trust and belief. Football has always been a team sport pretending to be an individual sport. The strongest teams often aren't the ones with the biggest stars. They’re the ones pulling in the same direction.
3️⃣ The World Cup Is About More Than Football
The World Cup is emotional, it’s nostalgic, it’s romantic. It creates stories that stay with us for decades. From Roger Milla’s celebrations to Gazza’s tears, from Yekini’s iconic goal celebration to Messi chasing one final chapter of greatness, these moments become part of our collective memory. For one month, people from different cultures, backgrounds and beliefs come together around a shared passion. And when done well, sport has an incredible ability to unite.
Closing Reflection
The older I get, the more I realise that some of my favourite World Cup memories have very little to do with football itself. They’re about family, friends, our childhood and having lots of hope! The people I watched with and the emotions I felt in those moments.
This year, I’m all in on England. Whether they win it or not, I’ve loved reconnecting with what this tournament represents. And maybe that’s why we keep coming back every four years. Because deep down, the World Cup reminds us that believing in something bigger than ourselves is still a beautiful thing.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Sun, 21 Jun 2026 - 159 - Off Track: Are You Listening To The Wrong Voice?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Dr. Afnan Alghamdi, one of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering voices in psychology and mental health. Our conversation explored everything from loneliness and growth to identity and healing, but three questions stayed with me long after the cameras stopped rolling. Questions that, if I’m honest, many of us are probably trying to answer in our own lives.
Here are those three questions behind this episode:
1️⃣ Do We Grow More Alone Or With Other People?
Dr. Afnan believes healing happens through connection, community and being around people who truly understand what we're going through. I agree. But I also know that some of the biggest breakthroughs in my own life happened when I was completely alone. No distractions. No opinions. Just honest reflection. Growth, I’ve realised, often requires both. The support of others and the courage to sit quietly with yourself.
2️⃣ Is Growth More About Unlearning or Learning?
We spend most of our lives trying to learn more. New skills, new knowledge, new experiences. But some of the biggest transformations come from letting go. Letting go of old beliefs, outdated habits and versions of ourselves that no longer fit. The older I get, the more I realise that growth isn't always about becoming more. Sometimes it's about becoming less. Less fear, less ego and definitely less performance.
3️⃣ Is Experiencing Pain Really Necessary?
None of us actively seek pain, but when I look back at the moments that shaped me most, they usually came from periods I wouldn’t have chosen. Failure, uncertainty, rejection, loss. Pain has a way of forcing us to stop, reflect and reassess what truly matters. Not because pain is good, but because it reveals things comfort often hides. Sometimes the moments we want to avoid end up teaching us the lessons we needed most.
Closing Reflection
The older I get, the more I realise how little I know. For years I thought wisdom came from having answers. Now I think wisdom comes from knowing which questions matter and learning to trust yourself enough to explore them. Over the last few years, I've started listening to my gut more than ever before. Not because it's always right, but because it's usually honest.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Fri, 19 Jun 2026 - 158 - Dr. Afnan Alghamdi on Healing, Loneliness & The Fear of Change | Luca’s Insight Track
What happens when one of Saudi Arabia’s most influential psychologists becomes the one opening up?
In this deeply emotional episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Dr. Afnan Alghamdi shares her perspective on grief, loneliness, healing, identity, fear of change, and the silent emotional struggles people carry every day.
Known for redefining conversations around mental health in Saudi Arabia through her podcast Saturday Couch (كنبة السبت), Dr. Afnan speaks openly about losing her mother, facing failure, rebuilding herself after pain, and why true healing begins when we stop running from ourselves.
Together, Luca and Dr. Afnan explore:
• Why people fear change
• The psychology of loneliness and anxiety
• How pain reshapes identity
• Faith vs psychology
• Social media psychologists misinformation
• Why awareness alone is not enough
• How to rebuild yourself after grief and failure
This is more than a conversation about psychology. It’s a conversation about being human.

This week's episode was inspired by my conversation with Mark Ritson, one of the most respected marketing minds in the world. But the insights I took away had very little to do with marketing itself. Instead, they were about nostalgia, connection and simplicity. Here are the three insights that stayed with me long after the conversation ended.
1️⃣ Nostalgia Doesn't Mean You Want To Go Back
After nearly twenty years working in agencies, sitting down with Mark felt like revisiting an old chapter of my life. We spoke about brands, media, marketing and an industry that shaped so much of who I became. It reminded me that nostalgia isn't always about wanting the past back. Sometimes it's simply gratitude for the people, experiences and lessons that helped build you. Every chapter leaves a mark, even the ones you've outgrown.
2️⃣ There Is Comfort In Being Understood
One of the reasons I enjoyed this conversation so much was that I didn't need to explain myself. We could jump straight into the nuances of the industry because we shared a common language and a common experience. The older I get, the more I appreciate conversations where there is no translation required. In a world where many of us spend our lives adapting and fitting in, finding people who simply understand you is one of life's greatest comforts.
3️⃣ Simplicity Is Often The Highest Form Of Mastery
One of Mark's strongest beliefs is that people who truly understand something can explain it simply. That idea resonated deeply with me. Whether it's marketing, leadership or communication, we often hide behind complexity when we're unsure. But mastery looks different. It removes rather than adds. The best marketers simplify the strategy. The best leaders simplify the vision. The best communicators simplify the message. Because when you know the one thing you want people to remember, everything else becomes easier.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 09 Jun 2026 - 155 - Off Track: Why The Right Path Rarely Feels Safe
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Hala Kazim and three ideas that stayed with me long after the cameras stopped rolling. Ideas around identity, relationships and uncertainty. Three things that, in my experience, shape far more of our lives than we realise.
1️⃣ Everyone You Love Should Be Part Of Your Life, Not Your Entire Life
When we get married and have children, many of us make them our whole life. I'm not here to say whether that's right or wrong. But I do believe the example we should set is one of self-awareness and self-respect. Be good to people, love people and support people, but don't lose yourself inside them. The healthiest relationships aren't two people becoming one. They're two complete people choosing to walk through life together.
2️⃣ Relationships Are The Ultimate Human Advantage
The more AI grows, the more valuable human relationships become. Trust, empathy, listening and genuine connection are quickly becoming the skills that separate us. It's why I often say the presenter is more important than the presentation. People don't remember slides, they remember people. Relationships can quietly damage your life or completely transform it depending on how much you invest in them.
3️⃣ Most Of Life's Biggest Decisions Arrive Disguised As Uncertainty
Buying a one way ticket to Dubai, leaving my CEO role, starting this podcast (and everything in between), none of the biggest decisions in my life came with guarantees attached. They came with doubt, risk and unanswered questions. We spend so much of our lives waiting for certainty before we act, but certainty is often the reward for action, not the prerequisite. Sometimes you simply have to back yourself and go.
Closing Reflection
The older I get, the more I realise that life isn't really about having all the answers. It's about knowing who you are, investing in the people that matter and having the courage to move forward before you're ready.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 02 Jun 2026 - 153 - Off Track: Why So Many People Feel Lost Right Now
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Bassem Terkawi, but also by something I think many people are quietly feeling right now… fear. Fear around the economy, the job market, paying rent, school fees, uncertainty and the pressure to keep it all together while pretending everything is fine.
The conversation made me reflect deeply on my own journey. Leaving the corporate world without another job waiting for me. Losing the comfort of certainty. Questioning my identity beyond titles, salaries and external validation. And realising how much of my self-worth had become attached to achievement and proving myself.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Sometimes Life Forces The Change You’re Too Scared To Make
There are moments in life where you already know something no longer fits… a job, a relationship, a version of yourself, but fear keeps you there. Until eventually life makes the decision for you. Looking back, some of the hardest moments of my life were also the moments that pushed me closest towards alignment and purpose.
2️⃣ We’re Exhausted From Performance
I realised a lot of us aren’t actually tired from work. We’re tired from the 'performance'. From trying to maintain polished versions of ourselves that no longer feel authentic. Chasing validation through titles, money, recognition, views or approval eventually becomes emotionally exhausting. Real freedom begins when you stop trying to impress everyone and start understanding who you actually are.
3️⃣ The Future Belongs To People Who Know Who They Are
In a world becoming more artificial, self-awareness has never been more important. Knowing your voice, your values, your energy and your truth is becoming the real differentiator. That’s why creating platforms like Luca’s Insight Track and MasterPitch means so much to me, because underneath it all, helping people reconnect with themselves and feel confident enough to speak as who they really are is why I do what I do.
Closing Reflection
Fear never fully disappears. Even when life starts moving in the right direction, uncertainty still exists. But I’ve learned that you cannot build a meaningful life purely around fear avoidance. At some point, you have to stop obsessing over everything you can’t control and start focusing on what you can control, your mindset, your growth, your relationships and the person you’re becoming.
The answers most people are desperately searching for externally usually begin internally.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Tue, 26 May 2026 - 151 - Off Track: What To Do When Nothing Seems To Be Working
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was partly inspired by my conversation with Mirna Sabbagh, but mostly by a difficult week of my own. A week of setbacks, rejections and opportunities that didn’t quite land the way I hoped they would. The kind of week that makes you question yourself if you’re not careful.
With summer approaching, many of us are pushing hard for one last win. One last deal. One last approval. One last breakthrough before everything slows down. But what happens when the reward doesn’t arrive immediately?
Here are the three insights behind this episode:
1️⃣ Don’t Let A Setback Become A Story
A rejection is just an event. The problem starts when we attach meaning to it. One difficult week doesn’t mean you’re failing. One delayed decision doesn’t mean you’re on the wrong path. Don’t confuse a moment with a direction.
2️⃣ Progress Is Often Invisible
We live in a world of instant gratification, but meaningful growth rarely works that way. Businesses, careers and personal goals all require patience. The roots grow before the tree appears. Just because you can’t see progress yet doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.
3️⃣ Protect Your Mind
The hardest battle is rarely the setback itself. It’s the conversation that follows inside your own head. Through mindfulness and practices I’ve learned from the Art of Living Foundation, I’ve realised not every thought deserves attention. Focus on what you can control. Your effort. Your attitude. Your next step.
Closing Reflection
This week didn’t give me all the wins I wanted, but it gave me a reminder. Not every season is a harvest season. Some seasons are planting seasons. They ask for faith before they offer proof and effort before they offer reward.
So if things feel uncertain right now, keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep backing yourself. The outcome will arrive when it’s ready.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 19 May 2026 - 149 - Off Track: The Human Behind The Machine
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week started as a conversation about cars, Formula 1, AI and the future of the automotive industry with Rene Koneberg, Managing Director of Audi Middle East. But somewhere in the middle of it, I realised we weren’t really talking about cars at all. We were talking about storytelling, identity, legacy, fathers, ambition and what happens when emotion slowly disappears from the things we once loved.
And honestly, it made me reflect on a lot more than automotive.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Cars Used To Be Stories… Not Just Products
Growing up, I used to loooove car ads. Audi, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes. They felt cinematic, mysterious and aspirational. Cars weren’t just transportation, they represented identity, status, freedom and ambition. But somewhere along the way, automotive marketing became more tactical and less emotional. Battery range replaced storytelling. Specs replaced aspiration. And it made me wonder if younger generations will ever fall in love with cars in the same way previous generations did. Because when brands stop telling stories, people stop dreaming.
2️⃣ Legacy Alone Doesn’t Guarantee Leadership
One thing I really respected was Rene openly admitting that legacy brands need to adapt faster. And honestly, I found that refreshing. For years, I was skeptical of non-traditional automotive markets because we were conditioned to believe certain logos represented perfection. But the reality is, as technology becomes more accessible and manufacturing improves globally, the product gap naturally narrows. Reputation still matters, but agility matters more. And that insight applies way beyond cars. The world right now rewards the people and brands willing to evolve before they’re forced to.
3️⃣ The Most Powerful Stories Are Still Human Ones
Out of everything we discussed, the thing I remember most wasn’t Formula 1, EVs or AI. It was Rene talking about his father. The way he pushed him, challenged him and stretched his potential by giving him broken things to fix as a kid. And instantly, it reminded me of my own dad. Always pushing me to become the best version of myself possible. It made me realise that behind every impressive title is usually just a human being trying to discover themselves, live up to their potential and make the people they love proud. That’s the part we truly connect with. Not the title. The humanity.
Closing Reflection:
Maybe that’s the real challenge facing brands, industries and even people right now. In a world becoming more automated, more efficient and more AI driven, the things that will continue to stand out are the things that still feel human. The stories. The emotion. The struggle. The aspiration. The connection. Because long after people forget the specs, the technology or the title… they’ll still remember how something made them feel.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 12 May 2026 - 147 - Off Track: The Grip of Guilt
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode was inspired by my conversation with Rania Masri El Khatib, and honestly… It brought a lot up for me personally. We spoke about leadership, pressure, identity, motherhood, entrepreneurship and the emotional weight people quietly carry beneath the surface. But the thing that stayed with me most was guilt.
It made me reflect on my own journey. Leaving the corporate world, walking away from the CEO title, the salary, the bonus, the safety and choosing a path that felt more aligned with who I really am. And even though it was the right decision, guilt somehow still came along for the ride.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Guilt Quietly Follows More of Us Than We Admit
A big part of why I work as hard as I do today comes from guilt. Guilt for leaving corporate. Guilt for prioritising myself. Guilt for choosing a different path. Guilt for wanting more freedom, more creativity and more meaning. And strangely… even guilt for enjoying it. Hearing Rania speak about her own experiences made me realise how universal this feeling actually is. So many of us are carrying pressure, expectation and self-doubt quietly in the background, even when life looks good from the outside.
2️⃣ Sometimes It’s Not You… It’s The Environment
One of the most powerful things Rania said was around the environment we are in and how difficult it is to grow when the “soil” around you isn’t right. That really stayed with me. We spend so much time blaming ourselves when we feel drained, disconnected or low in confidence, but sometimes the issue isn’t who we are, it’s where we are. The wrong environment, the wrong people or the wrong energy can slowly pull you away from yourself. Real confidence often comes from alignment, not performance.
3️⃣ AI Is Making Human Connection More Valuable
We’re entering a world where AI can automate almost everything… and ironically, I think it’s making people crave human connection more than ever. Honest conversations. Real stories. Vulnerability. Imperfections. I think people are exhausted by polished perfection and corporate messaging. That’s why podcasts, communities and live experiences are growing so quickly, because underneath everything, human beings still want to feel human.
Closing Reflection
Maybe guilt isn’t always a sign that something is wrong. Maybe it’s just what shows up when you start making decisions that are truly your own. And maybe the goal isn’t to completely eliminate it, but to stop letting it control your choices.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

From women empowerment and societal expectations to imposter syndrome and resilience, this conversation offers powerful insights into leadership, growth, and staying true to who you are.
A conversation about identity, strength, authenticity, and leadership beyond titles.
Tue, 05 May 2026 - 145 - Off Track: Who Are You in the Quiet?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real life.
This week is a little different. Season 5 has just come to an end, and I found myself in that in-between space where the momentum slows, the noise fades, and you’re left alone with your thoughts. And if I’m being honest, it hit me harder than I expected. So this episode is me unpacking that. The doubt, the questioning, the pressure to have it all figured out and what actually sits beneath it.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ We’re All Winging It… Even the Ones Who Look Certain
I had one of those days where everything felt unclear. Questioning what I’m doing, whether I’m on the right path, and if any of this is actually working. And the thought crept in, have I just fluked it? But stepping back, I realised this isn’t just an entrepreneur thing, it’s a human thing. Some of us are building the plane mid air, others are flying one they didn’t design, but either way no one has it fully figured out and we are all adjusting as we go.
2️⃣ The Energy Comes Back When You Play to Your Strength
What really drained me wasn’t the path I’m on, it was the things I was doing that didn’t feel like me. The technical work, the admin, the disconnect from what I actually enjoy and where I’m at my best. And that’s when it clicked, burnout doesn’t come from working hard, it comes from working out of alignment. You can show up every day, but if you’re not showing up as yourself, it will catch up with you.
3️⃣ Titles Don’t Define You… Impact Does
I got asked a simple question recently, what do you do, and I gave the answer, coach, podcaster, entrepreneur, but it didn’t land. Because titles don’t capture who you are or the impact you make. You can have the title and feel nothing, or have no title and change someone’s life. So instead of asking who am I, I started asking what happens when I show up. If people feel more seen, more heard, more themselves, maybe that’s the answer.
Closing Reflection
We expect clarity too early and want certainty before something has fully formed, but maybe those moments of doubt aren’t signs something’s wrong, maybe they’re signs something’s happening. So instead of asking am I on the right path, ask yourself am I being myself on the path I’m on, because that’s where the energy is and where things start to click.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 28 Apr 2026 - 144 - Off Track: Do You Ever Feel Like Something is Missing?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Kate King. What started as a discussion around leadership and transformation quickly became something deeper… about identity, purpose and what’s really driving us beneath the surface.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ You Can Have Everything… And Still Feel Like It’s Not Enough
I’ve been in a role that looked like success on paper; big team, great title, everything I thought I wanted - and still felt something was off. Not broken, just not fully aligned. And you don’t say it out loud, because who’s going to empathize? That’s when I realized I wasn’t chasing anymore… I’d just been running for a long time. Success can change your life, but it won’t automatically change how you feel about yourself.
2️⃣ In a World of AI… Being Human Is Your Edge
We’re moving into a world where intelligence isn’t enough, AI can already do that. What actually lands now is the human side. The real moments. The honest ones. I’ve sat in countless rooms where people try to sound smart (myself included), but the moments people remember are when someone speaks truthfully and shows up as themselves. In a world of automation, authenticity is what separates you.
3️⃣ Having More Doesn’t Fix It… It Blinds You
Right now, with everything going on - work, the boys, life - it’s easy to stay in “what’s next” mode. I catch myself sometimes… I’m there, but not really there. Then something small brings me back, a moment, a laugh, a look and you realise this is actually it. Not the next thing. More can feel like progress, but if you’re not careful, it stops you seeing what already matters.
We spend so much of our lives chasing the next thing. But at some point, the question changes - not what am I building? but why am I building it? And is it still true for me? Maybe that’s the shift. Less chasing, more awareness. Less performance, more presence.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

In this episode of Luca's Insight Track, Luca Allam sits down with transformational coach Kate King — a woman with over 20,000 coaching hours working with the world's top CEOs and leaders. This is not a conversation about tips and strategies. This is a conversation about the deep inner work that most people avoid.

Together, Luca and Kate explore why so many high achievers still feel lost after reaching the top, what separates real coaching from superficial coaching, and why the future of leadership is no longer about IQ or EQ — but SQ, Spiritual Intelligence.
This conversation covers:
— Why success does not always lead to fulfillment
— The psychology behind feeling "not good enough"
— How childhood trauma fuels extraordinary achievement
— The future of work, AI, and the wisdom economy
— What conscious leadership actually looks like

Mon, 13 Apr 2026 - 142 - Off Track: An Ode to Lebanon - A Love That Defies Logic
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week is different. Instead of reflecting on a guest, I take a moment for something closer to home. Following the recent attacks in Beirut, this episode is an ode to Lebanon… a country that is difficult to explain, yet impossible not to feel. What started as a reaction to the news became something deeper… about identity, contradiction and the kind of love that defies logic.
1️⃣ It Started Before I Understood
ItMy connection to Lebanon didn’t come from growing up there or fully understanding it. It came from moments. Summers spent in my village in the north, some of the happiest memories of my life. Before I understood identity, politics or language, I felt something. And that feeling stayed. Even today, without speaking Arabic or fully grasping what happens in the country, the connection is still there. Some places don’t need to be understood to mean something. You just feel them.
2️⃣ A Country That Runs on Love, Not Logic
Lebanon doesn’t make sense on paper. The politics, the economy, the system… none of it adds up. And yet, it continues. You see a country of contrasts, beauty and chaos, wealth and hardship, all existing side by side. What holds it together isn’t structure, it’s people. Families abroad sending money back, showing up, supporting however they can. It made me realise something simple but powerful… Lebanon isn’t running on logic. It’s running on love.
3️⃣ When Logic Says Stay Away… But You Move Closer
In moments like this, logic tells you to step back. To protect yourself, to keep your distance. But that’s not what Lebanon does to you. It pulls you in. My instinct right now is to go, to be there, to see my parents, to help in whatever way I can. I still want to take my kids there this summer. And that contradiction says everything. Lebanon doesn’t push people away when it struggles. It pulls them closer. That pull doesn’t come from understanding… it comes from love.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Mon, 06 Apr 2026 - 140 - Off Track: People Are the Lesson. Not the Syllabus.
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life. This week, I reflect on my conversation with Alissar Nasr. What started as a discussion around education quickly became something much deeper… about safety, listening and the way we show up as humans, whether in classrooms, boardrooms or everyday life.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Safety Drives Success
We often believe pressure creates performance, but in reality people perform at their best when they feel safe. When they feel seen, supported and not judged, they’re more willing to contribute, take risks and be themselves. I saw this clearly in my own career. The moments I excelled weren’t when pressure was highest, but when I knew someone had my back and I could operate without fear. The same applies in schools and in business. When safety exists, ideas flow. When it doesn’t, people hold back. Safety isn’t soft, it’s a performance driver.
2️⃣ Less Advice, More Listening
We’re quick to jump in with solutions because we think that’s what helping looks like. But more often than not, people don’t need advice, they need to feel heard. They need space to express themselves without being corrected or redirected. The challenge is that any advice we give is shaped by our own experiences, which means it’s naturally biased. It may not apply to what the other person is going through. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause and ask whether they want advice or simply someone to listen. Listening builds connection, and connection builds trust.
3️⃣ The Teacher Is the Lesson
We spend far too much time obsessing over content, when in reality that’s not what people remember. No one remembers specific slides or bullet points, they remember how you made them feel. It’s not the what, it’s the how. Your tone, your pace, your presence and your authenticity are what truly land with people. Everyone has their own communication style, and the more you lean into that, the more impactful you become. People don’t connect to perfect content, they connect to real delivery.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Mon, 30 Mar 2026 - 138 - Off Track: Say It Real, Say It Right, and Choose Who You Listen To
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Faris Al Hammadi. What started as a discussion to better understand Islam became something much broader… about truth, communication and the responsibility that comes with having a voice in today’s world.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Honesty Comes at a Cost
We like to believe that truth is always the right answer. But truth is not always easy to say… and it is not always easy to hear. The moment you choose to speak honestly, you introduce friction. You challenge perspectives. You risk being misunderstood, disagreed with or even rejected.
In a world that often rewards diplomacy and safe answers, honesty can feel like a risk. But if you constantly soften what you mean, you eventually lose clarity on who you are. You don’t get to be authentic and liked by everyone. You have to choose.
2️⃣ Context Is Disappearing
We are surrounded by more content than ever before. But less understanding. Conversations are no longer experienced in full. They are clipped, shortened and consumed in fragments. A one hour discussion becomes a 30 second opinion. And when context disappears, meaning changes.
Nuance gets lost. Intent gets distorted. And people react to moments instead of understanding the whole. As someone who believes in long-form conversation, this creates tension. Because while depth is created over time, attention is captured in seconds. We’re not lacking information, we’re losing context and with it, understanding.
3️⃣ The Danger of the Wrong Voice
Not all voices carry the same weight. But in today’s world, they often feel like they do. Confidence is everywhere. Opinions are everywhere. And the louder the voice, the more it gets heard. But confidence does not always mean credibility. Because while ignorance can be corrected, misinformation delivered with certainty spreads quickly and widely.
The people we listen to shape how we think. And when we stop questioning what we hear, we hand over that influence too easily. Ignorance can be corrected. But confident misinformation spreads.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Fri, 27 Mar 2026 - 137 - Understanding Islam in the UAE – Faris Al Hammadi
In this episode, Faris Al Hammadi joins the show for a deep, unfiltered conversation on faith, identity, and responsibility in the modern world. As a UAE-based educator and advisor, Faris is known for his clear, direct approach to explaining Islam, often challenging popular misconceptions and separating cultural practices from religious principles.
We explore why misunderstandings around faith continue to persist, how oversimplification creates confusion, and why clarity matters more than loud opinions. Faris reflects on the responsibility that comes with influence, the importance of honest questioning, and how conviction can coexist with respect and dialogue.
This conversation goes beyond surface-level narratives and looks at belief through the lens of accountability, consistency, and self-awareness. A thoughtful episode for anyone interested in understanding faith with nuance, depth, and intellectual honesty.
Mon, 23 Mar 2026 - 136 - Off Track: In Uncertain Times, Who Do You Become?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Tina Chagoury. What I thought would be a discussion around nutrition and health quickly became something far deeper… about resilience, identity and the quiet strength it takes to rebuild your life when everything changes.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ The Decision Can be Hard. Owning it is Harder.
We often focus on the moment of decision, believing that is where courage lives.
But the real challenge begins after.
Owning your path means staying committed when the structure disappears, when certainty fades and when doubt creeps in. Whether life happens to you or because of you, growth begins when you stop questioning the choice and start fully standing behind it.
2️⃣ Change Means Losing Parts of Yourself.
We tend to think of loss as something external… people, roles, situations.
But often, the deeper loss is internal.
We grieve the version of ourselves that existed in those moments. The identity, the familiarity, the way we once showed up in the world. Reinvention is not just about becoming someone new. It is about accepting that parts of who you were may no longer come with you.
3️⃣ No One Can Do Your Inner Work for You.
Support matters. Guidance matters. Therapy, coaching, conversations… they all help.
But none of them replace responsibility.
Real change only happens when you choose to do the work yourself. When you take ownership of your growth, your healing and your direction. No one else can build that for you. The most important work will always be the work you do on yourself.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Mon, 16 Mar 2026 - 134 - Off Track: Freedom, Trauma and the Power of Voice
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Farnoush Hamidian, an Iranian model whose story goes far beyond fashion. What began as a conversation about beauty and identity became something deeper, about freedom, trauma and the courage it takes to find your voice.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Freedom Is Defined by Experience
Freedom means different things depending on where you come from and what you’ve lived through.
For some, it’s about opportunity or expression. For others, it’s something far more basic, the freedom to speak, choose, or pursue a life on their own terms.
Farnoush described freedom as simply being able to walk down a catwalk. A reminder that what feels normal to some can be extraordinary to others. Gratitude for the freedoms we have is easy to forget, until we hear stories from those who have had to fight for them.
2️⃣ Trauma Can Silence You, or Shape Your Voice
Some experiences break people. Others transform them.
Farnoush shared a deeply personal trauma from her past, something that could have kept her silent. Instead, she chose to speak.
When one person breaks the silence, others often find the courage to follow. The response from women around the world shows how powerful it can be when someone finally finds their voice.
3️⃣ Beauty Opens Doors. Substance Keeps Them Open
Beauty can create opportunity, but it is never enough on its own.
In a world that often rewards appearance first, what truly lasts is substance — intelligence, perspective and character.
As Farnoush said, beauty becomes dangerous when it is a woman’s only currency. Doors may open for many reasons, but what keeps them open is what lies beyond the surface.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Fri, 06 Mar 2026 - 132 - Off Track: Panic, Propaganda & Powerlessness
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s episode is a little different. With tensions rising across the Middle East, we decided not to release a new guest episode on Luca’s Insight Track. Instead, I wanted to share some personal reflections from being in Dubai during a moment of uncertainty, and what these moments reveal about control, connection and the way we consume information.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Powerlessness Is Real, Panic Is Optional.
Moments of conflict create a sudden loss of control. The constant updates, the uncertainty and the feeling that events are unfolding far beyond our influence can leave people feeling small and powerless.
Many of us felt this during COVID. When control disappears, fear often pushes us toward impulsive decisions. But reacting quickly rarely leads to the best outcomes. Sometimes the strongest response is maintaining perspective and focusing on the parts of life we can still influence.
2️⃣ In Crisis, Connection Matters More Than Commentary.
In normal times, the question “How are you?” can feel like a routine greeting. But during moments of uncertainty it becomes something more meaningful.
People begin to check in with each other more honestly. Crisis reminds us that beyond opinions and headlines, what really matters is empathy, presence and making sure the people around us are okay.
3️⃣ Our Bias Shapes the News We Believe.
We have more access to information than ever before, but that does not mean we have more clarity. Media narratives, clipped footage and even AI-generated content blur the line between fact and perception.
The deeper challenge is our own bias. We often consume the information that confirms what we already believe or fear. Some people search for danger, others search for reassurance. In moments like this, discernment becomes essential, because the stories we choose to believe often shape the decisions we make.
Closing Reflection
None of us can control the global forces shaping the world around us. But we can control how we respond to them.
Moments like this remind us to stay grounded, stay connected and stay thoughtful in the choices we make.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Thu, 05 Mar 2026 - 131 - Off Track: When Success Stops Feeling Like Success
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Nick Santonastasso. What began as a discussion about resilience and mindset became something deeper, about identity, purpose and the courage it takes to reinvent yourself when success no longer feels like enough.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Success Does Not Mean Alignment.
We spend years chasing titles, promotions and external validation, believing achievement will automatically bring fulfilment.
But success without alignment creates emptiness. The momentary high fades quickly, replaced by the question of what comes next. True impact begins when we stop chasing status and start understanding who we really are. Alignment is not found in titles. It is found in honesty with ourselves.
2️⃣ Pressure Drives the Short Term. Purpose Sustains the Long Term.
Deadlines, expectations and targets can push us forward, but they cannot carry us forever.
Short term pressure creates movement, but purpose creates endurance. When your work connects to something meaningful, energy becomes sustainable. Finding your voice and understanding why you do what you do transforms effort into direction.
3️⃣ Playing the Victim Is Easier Than Reinventing Yourself.
It is tempting to hold onto past identities, past success or past struggles and let them define the present.
But growth begins when we let old versions of ourselves go. Reinvention requires responsibility, not sympathy. The hardest step is accepting that no one else can move your life forward for you. The decision to change always starts within.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Mon, 23 Feb 2026 - 129 - Off Track: Why We're Talking More but Connecting Less
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no scripts, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I reflect on my conversation with Dr. Sarah. What started as a discussion about relationships quickly became something deeper, about communication, loneliness and the quiet ways connection fades.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ 'Most Conversations Today are Rituals, Not Connections.
How are you? We ask it constantly, but rarely wait for the real answer. The question has become social habit rather than genuine curiosity. We ask to be polite, not to understand.
Conversations stay safe and surface level because real listening requires time and emotional presence. Real connection begins when we slow down, ask with intent, and give someone space to be honest. Communication is not about the right words. It is about creating enough trust for truth to appear.
2️⃣ Cheating Is the Symptom. Loneliness Is the Story.
Cheating is wrong, but it often starts long before betrayal. It begins with emotional disconnection.
Loneliness now exists inside relationships, not just outside them. People can share a life yet feel unseen or unheard. We judge the act because it is visible, but we rarely look at the quiet absence of connection that led there.
3️⃣ Relationships Don’t Break in Arguments. They Break in Silence.
Arguments often mean people still care. Indifference is the real warning sign.
When communication stops, distance grows quietly. Two people can remain together while emotionally drifting apart. The work often starts not by fixing the relationship, but by understanding yourself first. Self awareness is what makes honest communication possible.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
Off my chest and off the cuff.

Dr. Rasmi shares what therapy really looks like behind closed doors and why emotional disconnection, silent suffering, and unresolved guilt are quietly impacting couples and families around the world. She explains why anxiety is rising, how trust is broken and rebuilt, and why “cold silence” can be more damaging than open conflict.
The conversation explores the psychology of infidelity, the pressure of cultural expectations, and how early family roles shape our emotional patterns later in life. From eldest daughter syndrome and sibling dynamics to Arab and Western parenting styles, Sarah offers practical insight into building healthier relationships and stronger boundaries.
We also discuss how to prioritize yourself without neglecting loved ones, how therapists manage unconscious bias, and why emotional awareness is essential for long-term growth and resilience.
This episode is a rare blend of psychology, culture, and lived experience — a thoughtful reflection on how to create meaningful connections in a complex world.

Mon, 16 Feb 2026 - 127 - Off Track: The Hardest Negotiation You’ll Ever Have Is With Yourself
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m reflecting on my conversation with professional negotiator Lousin Mehrabi. What started as a discussion about negotiation tactics quickly turned into something far deeper, about emotions, ego and the battles we fight within ourselves.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ The Hardest Negotiations Aren’t Logical, They’re Emotional
I used to think winning an argument was about being the smartest person in the room. Lousin completely challenged that. It’s not intelligence that wins. It’s self-control. The person who regulates their nervous system, who stays calm, who doesn’t react to cheap shots, usually walks away with more power. Logic matters. But emotional regulation decides the outcome.
2️⃣ You Don’t Win With Narcissists. You Walk Away.
Narcissists can play the victim, the hero and the abuser in the same breath. And the more you try to convince them, the more you lose yourself. The biggest shift for me was this: we are addicted to being understood. But sometimes strength isn’t proving your point. It’s releasing the need to be understood at all. Not every battle deserves your energy.
3️⃣ The Toughest Negotiation Is the One You Have With Yourself
We avoid. We procrastinate. We choose safety over growth. That’s the real internal negotiation happening every day. Lousin spoke about revisiting younger versions of ourselves, the child who needed validation, the teenager who needed approval, the adult chasing status, and recognising that those needs don’t define who we are today. Real power comes from inner peace. From giving yourself what you once looked for in others.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track. 🎙️✨
Thu, 12 Feb 2026 - 126 - Negotiation, Power, and Emotional Intelligence – Lousin Mehrabi
In this episode, Lousin Merhabi joins the show for a deep, honest conversation on negotiation, emotional intelligence, and inner resilience. A globally recognized professional negotiator, Lousin is known for her ability to navigate high-pressure situations with clarity, empathy, and control — training elite teams and advising leaders in some of the most complex environments.
We explore what negotiation really means beyond contracts and boardrooms, why self-control is the foundation of influence, and how emotional intelligence shapes every difficult conversation. Lousin reflects on power dynamics, boundaries, and why most conflicts fail not because of strategy, but because of unmanaged emotions.
The conversation also turns deeply personal as Lousin opens up about her son’s diagnosis with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and how that experience reshaped her understanding of strength, fear, and purpose. She shares how grief, responsibility, and resilience transformed both her leadership and her inner life.
This episode moves beyond tactics and techniques, offering a thoughtful look at negotiation through the lens of humanity, self-awareness, and emotional maturity. A powerful conversation for anyone seeking to lead, communicate, and live with greater clarity and balance.
Mon, 09 Feb 2026 - 125 - Off Track: Power Isn’t Visible. That’s the Point.
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This episode follows my recent conversation with Mazen Hayek, former spokesperson for MBC Group and one of the most influential figures in Arab media over the last two decades. What started as a discussion about media, power and leadership became a much deeper reflection on ego, trust and what really matters in a world obsessed with visibility.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Visibility Is Not Power. Credibility Is.
One of the strongest takeaways from Mazen was this idea that real power rarely sits in the spotlight. In high stakes communication, your job isn’t to be seen, it’s to be trusted. As a spokesperson, Mazen was never the message. He was the bridge between the institution and the audience. That means parking your opinions, suppressing ego and understanding that the mission always comes before the individual. In a world pushing personal brand above everything else, this felt like a necessary reminder that chasing visibility too hard can quietly end careers.
2️⃣ Trust Is the Only Currency That Actually Compounds
Power doesn’t buy trust. But trust, over time, creates power. How a media institution handles sensitive topics, avoids sensationalism and treats its audience with respect determines whether people believe it or walk away. Right now, we’re living through a collapse of trust in traditional media, and that vacuum has been filled by individuals. Podcasts, long form conversations and consistent voices have become trusted not because they’re perfect, but because they’re familiar. Consistency builds credibility. Authenticity compounds trust.
3️⃣ In an AI World, Value Comes From Choosing the Right Battles
As AI accelerates, Mazen spoke about the importance of context, judgement and human insight. For me, that insight landed slightly differently. The real challenge isn’t competing with machines on intelligence, it’s knowing where to place our energy. Emotional intelligence. Self awareness. Fighting the right battles instead of every battle. In a world of noise, power now comes from discernment. What you engage in matters as much as what you ignore.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.

Tue, 03 Feb 2026 - 124 - Power Behind Arab Media In Dubai - Mazen Hayek

Mazen shares what it’s really like to operate inside one of the region’s most powerful media institutions, exploring how narratives are shaped, decisions are influenced, and why real power often exists away from the spotlight.
We also discuss leadership psychology, advisory power, trust, and the future of Arab media in an AI-driven world where attention has become the most valuable currency.
Fri, 30 Jan 2026 - 123 - Off Track: The Side of AI Nobody Is Talking About
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m diving into my Season 5 episode with Dr. Reem Lebhar, founder and CEO of MenaTech AI. What started as a conversation about artificial intelligence quickly evolved into something far more human, touching on inclusion, fear, identity and the value of time.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ The Real AI Revolution Is About Inclusion, Not Speed
Dr. Reem shared how her mother’s struggle with apps and smartphones became the inspiration for building AI products designed for elders, not just youth. That really stayed with me. We talk about innovation as speed, efficiency and scale, but progress that leaves parents and grandparents behind isn’t progress at all. A truly functional society designs for both ends of the age spectrum, taking care of the young while honouring and including the old.
2️⃣ Fear of AI Is an Old Fear Wearing New Clothes
We spoke about how fear is rarely logical. It’s rooted in the unknown. From tribalism to racism to technological change, humans have always feared what they don’t understand. AI is simply the latest version of that fear. But this shift is different. For the first time, we’re facing a world where machines can outperform human intellect. That means the work ahead isn’t just technical, it’s emotional. We’re moving from an era driven by IQ into one that demands empathy, self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
3️⃣ Cancer Teaches What Leadership Never Can: Time Is the Only Currency
Dr. Reem’s experience surviving cancer three times profoundly changed how she sees life, leadership and communication. She spoke about removing bureaucracy, sugarcoating and unnecessary diplomacy in favour of clarity, value and honesty. She also shared something deeply important: cancer patients don’t always need constant support. Sometimes they need space. Time, distance and respect can be more powerful than words. It’s a reminder not to waste energy on what doesn’t matter, and to treat time as the most valuable currency we have.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.

Fri, 23 Jan 2026 - 121 - Off Track: Who Are We Without the Title?
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m diving into my Season 5 episode with entrepreneur, speaker and founder of Untraceable, Tracy Hamoush. What started as a conversation about wellness, discipline and ambition quickly became something deeper, a reflection on identity, shortcuts and the courage to act on what we already know.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ When the Title Disappears, You Meet the Real You
Tracy said something that really stayed with me: without the business card, you feel like nobody. And she’s right. Titles give us structure, pride and a sense of importance. I felt that deeply when I left my CEO role. Suddenly, I had to answer a harder question: who am I without the title? That transition forced me to do the inner work, to separate who I am from what I was called. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s where real identity is built.
2️⃣ The Quick Fix Is Always the Long Way
We spoke about shortcuts, whether in health, success or life. Tracy was clear: quick fixes don’t move you forward, they set you back. Focusing on fast results might feel good in the moment, but it ignores who you’re becoming long term. This applies far beyond fitness. Taking the easy route in career or life might protect your ego today, but it delays the growth you’ll need tomorrow. The harder path is often the right one.
3️⃣ Awareness Is the Starting Point, Not the Shift
Self-awareness puts you ahead of the game, but it’s not enough on its own. Tracy and I agreed on this completely. Knowing what needs to change means nothing unless you act on it. And not once, but consistently. Action builds momentum, and momentum creates real behavioral change. You don’t need to do everything. You just need to do something and keep showing up for it.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.

They discuss the illusion of quick fixes, the hidden costs of shortcuts, and what it really takes to build habits that last. The conversation also gets personal.
Tracy opens up about leaving the corporate world, facing rejection, building confidence from the ground up, and learning to choose discipline even when it feels uncomfortable.
Fri, 16 Jan 2026 - 119 - Off Track: When 90 Million Views Still Aren’t Enough
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m diving into my Season 5 episode with comedian and content creator Anand Raman. Under the laughs were real, human truths about validation, identity and self-worth.
Here are the three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ The Like Chase Always Takes More Than It Gives
Anand told me his video hit 90 million views but brought in only 20,000 followers. Instead of feeling proud, he felt disappointed and unseen. That is the price of the like chase. It reshapes your creativity, pulls you away from who you are and can ruin your day when the numbers don’t land. I’ve felt that too. When you build from likes instead of purpose, you lose the joy that made you create in the first place.
2️⃣ Performing For Others Can Make You Forget Yourself
Anand shared that there are two versions of him. The amplified character people recognize online and the quiet, affectionate guy he is at home. He even said he sometimes mirrors others just to fit in. That hit close to home. Growing up away from my parents, I did the same to feel accepted. But when you spend years performing, you eventually face the hardest question of all: who am I when no one’s watching?
3️⃣ Pleasing Everyone Leaves You Empty Every Single Time
Through breathwork, Bali, and some deep honesty, Anand realised that trying to please the masses is a losing game. It never fills the inner gaps. I’ve been doing my own inner work too, slowly filling those holes one by one, like the Aero-bar image I shared in this episode. It’s the only path that actually brings grounding. Because when you close your eyes at night, the only thing that matters is whether you feel whole inside, not how many people approved of you today.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.

Mon, 12 Jan 2026 - 118 - Stand-Up, Social Media & Success in Dubai – Anand Raman
In this episode of Luca’s Insight Track, we sit down with Anand Raman, a comedian and content creator known for his viral “Job Interview” skits, to talk about modern fame, content pressure, and the emotional cost of going viral.
Anand opens up about the pressure of always being “the funny one,” the addiction cycle of likes and validation, and how brand partnerships can quietly shape creativity. The conversation explores identity, people-pleasing, masculinity, and what it means to feel trapped by the version of yourself the internet rewards.
This episode is an honest look at authenticity, self-worth, and learning to separate who you are from how you perform online.
Fri, 09 Jan 2026 - 117 - Off Track: New Year, New Patterns & The Courage To Choose Differently
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered and straight from the heart.
No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m diving into my Season 5 opener with Bardha Krasniqi from Love Is Blind UK. Beneath the entertainment were real lessons about identity, perception and the patterns we repeat without realising it.
Here are my three insights behind this episode.
1️⃣ Fast Fame Reveals You It Doesn’t Reinvent You
When fame hits overnight, it doesn’t turn you into someone new. It simply exposes who you already are. Bardha shared that she still doesn’t “feel famous” despite millions watching her journey. She received waves of hate, yet held tightly to the one message telling her she had given someone else strength. That’s the truth of fast fame. It amplifies your character, your integrity and your emotional foundation. It reveals you, not reshapes you.
2️⃣ Reality TV Isn’t About Them It’s About Us
We forget how little we actually see.Bardha explained that an entire storyline about money came from one dinner. Just a single moment, edited in a way that allowed the audience to fill in the gaps with their own biases. That’s the power of perception. We think we’re watching their story, but we’re actually watching our own projections. Reality TV becomes the mirror, and our reactions say more about us than the cast on screen.
3️⃣ In Love We Don’t Choose People We Choose Patterns
When she said “this has to work” about her engagement, it revealed something deeper than romance. It was cultural pressure, emotional conditioning and the familiarity of repeating old stories. But at the altar, she broke the cycle. She chose honesty over expectation and admitted he was a great guy, just not her guy. That moment wasn’t rejection. It was self awareness and the courage to stop repeating what no longer serves you.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track. 🎙️✨
Mon, 05 Jan 2026 - 116 - Love Is Blind UK & Dating In Dubai - Bardha Krasniqi
In this episode of Luca’s Insight Track, we speak with Bardha Krasniqi, known for her appearance on Netflix’s Love Is Blind UK, about love, fast fame, and life after reality TV.
Bardha shares her experience on the show, why she went in genuinely looking for a partner, and how dating changes when visibility and public attention enter the picture. The conversation explores modern dating, red flags, dating in Dubai versus London, and why consistency matters more than chemistry.
We also discuss the impact of overnight visibility, online judgement, and learning to stay grounded while choosing yourself in moments that truly matter.
Fri, 02 Jan 2026 - 115 - Off Track: The Week Where Nothing Makes Sense (And Why It Shouldn’t)
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I speak unscripted, unfiltered, and straight from the heart. No guests, no notes, just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week, I’m diving into that strange, floaty period between Christmas and New Year, the “weird week” where routines fade, motivation dips, and time loses structure. It feels directionless… but maybe that’s exactly the point.
Here are the three insights behind this episode:
1️⃣ The Weird Week Has a Purpose
It’s the only time you can say “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” in the same breath and somehow be right and wrong at once.Schedules blur, productivity drops, and life feels suspended. But this week isn’t meant to be productive. It’s the emotional exhale after a long year, a moment to rest properly and decompress.
2️⃣ Downtime Creates Quiet Alignment
If you’re someone who reflects and grows, this week is a gift. It’s the pause before the reset, a space to ask:
Who am I becoming? What energy do I want to carry into 2026?This is where manifestation becomes powerful: not as wishful thinking, but as clear, gentle intention.
3️⃣ My Manifestations for 2026
This year, my focus is simple:
A calm confidence and deeper self-trust.Leaning further into my purpose, helping people unlock the power of their authentic voice.Attracting abundance without ever losing my soul or my valuesAs we grow, what matters shifts, and our manifestations shift with us.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 30 Dec 2025 - 114 - Off Track: The Gift of the Present
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I step away from the guest chair, speak completely unscripted, and share the insights that genuinely matter. No notes. No filters. Just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week’s Christmas Special explores why this time of year feels different, softer, slower, and more meaningful. It’s the one moment in the calendar that invites us to pause, reflect, and appreciate what’s already here.
Here are the three insights that shaped this episode:
1️⃣ Embrace the Downtime
After nearly 360 days on the treadmill, Christmas gives us permission to rest. A chance to slow down properly, switch off without guilt, and recharge before the new year. If we don’t take the break now, we carry exhaustion into the months ahead.
2️⃣ Remember the Meaning Behind Christmas
Beyond the marketing and early decorations, there’s a deeper message: reflection, humility, and togetherness. Whether you’re religious or not, this season invites us to reconnect with the values beneath the noise.
3️⃣ Practise Gratitude for What You Already Have
While New Year’s pulls us toward the future, Christmas brings us back to the present. It’s a moment to appreciate family, safety, warmth, and connection, privileges many don’t have. The small, imperfect moments often become the ones that matter most.
As I share the chaos and joy of Christmas with my wife and two young boys, I’m reminded how precious these fleeting moments are.The older we get, the fewer Christmases we get all together, and the more important it becomes to notice the ones we still have.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart. This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Mon, 22 Dec 2025 - 113 - Off Track: The Truth About “Authenticity” No One Talks About
Welcome back to Off Track, the space where I step away from the guest chair, speak completely unscripted, and share the insights that genuinely matter. No notes. No filters. Just honest reflections shaped by real conversations and real life.
This week I dive into a word we hear everywhere yet rarely experience in its purest form: authenticity. It is the most overused word of the year and the most misunderstood. And understanding it has changed the way I host, coach and show up in my own life.
In this Off Track, I unpack three insights that will reshape how you think about being real, being seen and being yourself.
1. The Rise of the Real: Why authenticity has become the most valuable currency
In a world full of polish and personas, only one thing cuts through. Realness. People feel it immediately. And the more the world leans on tech, the more human truth becomes our only true differentiator.
2. The Vulnerability Threshold: How connection really gets builtAuthenticity is impossible without vulnerability.
Not oversharing and not hiding. Just enough that the audience recognises something they have felt too. This is where trust begins and where real communication lives.
3. Purpose in Plain Sight: Alignment as the foundation of true authenticity
The most authentic people are the ones whose personal values and professional purpose finally match.
I share how my podcast, coaching and personal work converged to reveal my own purpose: helping others unlock their real voice.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Thu, 18 Dec 2025 - 112 - Off Track: Why Nobody Says What They Really Think Anymore
This bonus episode of Luca's Insight Track goes Off Track as I dive into something that’s been gnawing at me for weeks: why does everyone say they’re “busy” or “surviving”… yet no one actually says how they are?
This reflection turned into three big insights about honesty, opinion, and the widening gap between what we think and what we say.
1️⃣ The gap between what we think and what we say is exploding
Most people live in the shadows, scrolling, judging, observing, never expressing. In a world obsessed with being “PC,” where everyone tiptoes to avoid offending anyone, honesty has become rare. But 2025 demands something different: a real voice, not a polite one. Silence is no longer neutral, it’s erasing our individuality into a sea of sameness.
2️⃣ Having an opinion isn’t enough, you need to voice it
We live in a time when AI is flattening everything. If you don’t speak up, you disappear. After nearly 70 episodes, I’ve seen it over and over: 70% of guests stay at 35,000 feet. Safe. Balanced. Polished. Forgettable. People don’t get inspired by “on the one hand, on the other hand.” They get inspired by people who pick a side. Love or hate, at least it’s real. At least it’s human. Your voice is the only thing that separates you from the algorithm.
3️⃣ We’re lying to each other every day, starting with “How are you?”
“Busy.” “Surviving.” “All good.”We’ve replaced honesty with convenience. Less than 10% of people answer truthfully, and when we do speak, we give headlines, not stories. If we want deeper relationships, deeper conversations, deeper lives…we need to tell the truth — to ourselves and to each other.
Honest, reflective and straight from the heart. This is me off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Thu, 11 Dec 2025 - 111 - The Secret Formula Behind Dubai's Global Success | Aida from DET Reveals All | Live from HSMAI
Dubai’s global success isn’t luck — it’s strategy, vision, and decades of intentional choices.
In this special HSMAI Middle East live episode, we sit down with Aida Al Busaidy, AVP of Consumer Advocacy, Celebrity Management, and Social Media at DET, to unpack the real engine behind Dubai’s rise.
We dive into:
• How Dubai transformed from “desert” to global benchmark• What it takes to manage 40+ social channels for a city
• Why third-party advocacy beats influencers• How long-term strategies like D33 and the 2040 vision shape the next 50 years
• Why people aren’t pushed from elsewhere — they’re pulled into Dubai
• The mindset, creativity, and leadership behind the city’s momentum.
If you want to understand how great brands — and great cities — are built, this conversation is a blueprint.
Fri, 05 Dec 2025 - 110 - Off track: The Power of Connection From Events to Cities to Regions
This bonus episode of Lucas Insight Track goes Off Track where I share the personal insights that surfaced after my live event recording with Aida Al Busaidy, AVP for Consumer Advocacy, Celebrity Management and Social Media at Dubai Tourism DET.
In this Off Track I unpack three key insights:
1️⃣ Events are mattering more, but connecting less
In a world obsessed with AI and tech, real human connection has never been more valuable. Personal branding is now a true differentiator and events are a powerful stage to stand out, yet most fall flat. The reason is simple. Weak audience engagement and very little meaningful involvement.
2️⃣ Push or Pull? Dubai wins anyway…
As the UAE celebrated National Day, Dubai felt busier, brighter and more filled with opportunity than ever. Tourists arrive and many end up staying. Are they drawn to Dubais energy or escaping what they know. These days it is genuinely hard to tell.
3️⃣ Regional rivalry is actually regional unity
The GCC is booming. Riyadh. Abu Dhabi. Dubai. Doha. All rising. All thriving. Competition does not divide us. It sharpens us. And the regions greatest competitive edge remains unchanged. Our hospitality. Honest reflective and straight from the heart.
This is me off my chest and off the cuff. Welcome to Off Track.
Thu, 04 Dec 2025 - 109 - Off Track: The Real Win Wasn’t the Award, It Was the Insights.
This bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track takes you Off Track, where I share the reflections that surfaced after being named in the ‘Best of 2025 Podcast’ by Apple Podcast, and stepping back and examining the craft of podcasting and the year I’ve had.
In this Off Track, I unpack three big insights:
1. Do numbers and awards really matter that much? They matter, but not enough to obsess over.
Metrics hold weight, but they’re only one indicator. Real progress comes from keeping a wider, more grounded view of what success actually looks like.
2. The best guests know who they really are.
After hosting around 40 guests this year, the standout conversations came from those clear on their story, brand, and positioning. Self-awareness is the root of true insight.
3. Podcasters need a better value exchange.
As podcasters, we put so much in time, energy, money and often get little back. Value grows when we focus on personal development, meaningful feedback, and actually appreciating recognition rather than racing past it.Honest, reflective, and straight from the heart.
This is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 25 Nov 2025 - 108 - Off Track: When Someone You Love Breaks Your Limiting Beliefs
This bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track takes you Off Track, where I share the personal reflections that surfaced after my conversation with Rasha Hamzeh, Managing Director of The Inhouse Agency, Executive Producer of this show… and yes, my wife.
In this Off Track, I unpack three big insights:
1️⃣ Marketing has changed, dramatically.
We’ve slipped into a world of copy-paste campaigns, platform obsession, and performance metrics ruling creativity. When no one takes risks, talent suffers, and churn rises. The industry isn’t short of ideas; it’s short of bravery.
2️⃣ Marriage is a lot like a podcast.
It demands consistency, effort, and intentional energy. Working with your partner isn’t easy, respect, trust, and friendship are the foundation, but even then, the work never stops.
3️⃣ Rasha’s belief in me made me ask a deeper question: Can someone else’s faith in you truly shape both your conscious and subconscious mind?
Her unwavering belief in me doesn’t just support me, it merges with me. At some point, her conviction becomes indistinguishable from my own thoughts. It’s as if our minds start working in unison, expanding the arena of what’s possible to a level I couldn’t reach alone.
Raw, unfiltered, and straight from the heart, this is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.

Fri, 14 Nov 2025 - 106 - Off Track: Who You Know, No Plan B, and The Energy Test - 3 Insights on Success in the AI Age
This special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track takes you Off Track — where I share the personal insights that stayed with me after my powerful conversation with Mohamed Al Banna, advisor to the UAE Royal Family, serial investor, and CEO of Lead Ventures.
Mohamed’s mindset around networking, belief, and energy inspired me to reflect deeply and in this improvised episode, I unpack three takeaways that might shift how you think about success and decision-making in today’s world.
1️⃣ In an AI-driven age, who you know now matters more than what you know. Intelligence is accessible, but relationships build real momentum.
2️⃣ Having a Plan B might sound smart, but it often signals doubt. When you fully commit to Plan A, you move differently.
3️⃣ The true green flag in any investment or partnership? A person’s energy. It’s the fastest, most reliable signal of alignment, or a warning to walk away.
Raw, unfiltered, and straight from the heart — this is me, off my chest and off the cuff.
Welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 11 Nov 2025 - 105 - Mentorship, Networking & Growth: Lessons from Mohamed Al Banna
What happens when Mohamed Al Banna — adviser to the UAE royal family, Group CEO of Lead Ventures, and serial investor — sits down to talk energy, entrepreneurship, and the art of building networks?
In this episode of Luca’s Insight Track, host Luca Allam explores how Mohamed went from watching his father struggle in real estate to becoming one of Dubai’s most connected business leaders and a mentor shaping the next generation.
This isn’t just about business — it’s a raw, inspiring, and often funny deep dive into risk, resilience, and reading people. Mohamed shares why he sometimes loses padel matches on purpose, why there are no guarantees in business except death, and why daily habits like smiling and giving can transform your life.
Luca and Mohamed unpack the secrets behind the UAE’s rise — from visionary leadership and bold initiatives to a culture that rewards action. They explore “contacts vs. contracts,” mentoring with integrity, and why energy is the ultimate green or red flag in any deal. And it goes deeper.
Mohamed opens up about the art of mentoring without exploitation, balancing network-building with knowledge-building, and a personal philosophy built around giving, gratitude, and faith. From a green “Mafi Mushkila” mug to a safe word called “Belief,” this conversation is full of stories, lessons, and practical insights you can use tomorrow.
Whether you’re a founder, investor, policy watcher, or simply curious about the inner workings of Dubai, this episode is a masterclass in relationship capital, entrepreneurial mindset, and creating opportunities that matter.
Fri, 07 Nov 2025 - 104 - Off Track: Who Teaches Whom? Revealing Insights From The Parent-Child Relationship
This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode is inspired by my incredibly insightful conversation with Karen Abou Jaoude, co-founder of The Wise Parent - a company designed to help parents be the best version of themselves for their kids. Our episode, explored all the facets of parenting, whilst she was 8 months pregnant with her second child!
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I learned following my conversation with Karen. The first is rooted in our definition of what is a good parent. This differentiates from person to person, based on our past, our values and our partner. My personal definition? To nail the basics on what your kids actually want and need. In this episode I also cover the generational divide between us and our parents in terms of whose parenting was right and whose was wrong and why information is not always a good thing. The final insight is about who actually teaches who, the parent or the child. The blessing of having kids is that they actually force us to rediscover the best of who we are by reminding us on the importance of removing our own limiting beliefs we had formed when we were kids.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 04 Nov 2025 - 103 - Parenting Today: Insights from The Wise Parent’s Karen Abou Jaoude
Parenting, presence, and breaking old patterns. In this heartfelt episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Luca sits down with Karen Abou Jaoude—parenting coach, co-founder of The Wise Parent, and daughter of previous guest Zena El Khalil. Eight months pregnant and leading a mission to transform family life, Karen shares powerful insights on what it really means to raise confident, thriving children.
Karen opens up about her journey as both a coach and a mother, why true parenting starts with “re-parenting” yourself, and how breaking intergenerational habits creates space for healthier families. She and Luca explore everything from boundaries and routines to raising culturally aware kids, reframing discipline as teaching rather than punishment, and why gentle parenting may sometimes be too gentle.
They also dive into the bigger questions parents face today: Are we better parents than past generations, or just more overwhelmed with information? What does it mean to bring a child into such a divided world? And how can small daily moments of connection matter more than big parenting “fixes”?
This episode is as raw as it is practical—blending humor, honesty, and wisdom. Whether you’re a new parent, expecting, or simply reflecting on your own childhood, Karen’s message is clear: good parenting isn’t about perfection, it’s about presence, growth, and love.Fri, 31 Oct 2025 - 102 - Off Track: Beyond Stuttering - Finding Purpose, Taking Pause & Learning Patience
This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode is inspired by my wonderfully open and insightful conversation with Farah Al Qaissieh, the founder of the stutter movement here in the UAE. As well as having a stutter, Farah suffered the tragic loss of her brother who also had a stutter, which propelled her to take action to help as many people as she can with this less talked about neurological disorder.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I learned following my conversation with Farah. The first is that not having ‘a why’ to how we live our life and make our decisions has never been more dangerous for our mental health; without a clear purpose, belief and conviction in what you’re doing, our passion is subdued, and we can’t be fulfilled. Secondly, taking a minute to actually stop. To reflect. To ask the right questions that are always the hard questions. This is the starting point for finding purpose. Finally, we have to practice harder to give people the space they need to figure things out, to give more space for understanding, and give more space for patience. My chat with Farah was delightful, but also incredibly insightful.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 28 Oct 2025 - 101 - Creating Stuttering Movement in the UAE | Overcoming Fear | Parenting - with Farah Al Qaissieh
Stuttering, stigma, and the power of voice. In this inspiring episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Luca sits down with Farah Al Qaissieh—Emirati social entrepreneur and founder of the UAE’s first stuttering support community. For more than a decade, Farah has been breaking stereotypes, building safe spaces, and helping people who stutter discover confidence and embrace their true voices.
Farah shares her deeply personal journey of growing up with a stutter, the school incident that made her realize she was “different,” and the powerful moment she freed herself by beginning every presentation with: “My name is Farah, and I stutter. Please bear with me.” She also opens up about a promise she made to her late brother Mansour—one that inspired her to host the first International Stuttering Awareness Day in the Middle East and create a community where no one feels alone.
Together, Luca and Farah uncover insights about stuttering that most people don’t know: why it impacts boys more than girls, why many stutter more in their mother tongue than in a second language, and why something as simple as introducing yourself or ordering coffee can feel like climbing a mountain. They also challenge misconceptions—from assuming stuttering is caused by nerves, to offering sympathy instead of acceptance.
But this conversation is bigger than speech. It’s about resilience, identity, and finding strength in difference. Farah talks about parenting three young boys, rediscovering play through a Lego mug, using “elephant” as her safe word, and the daily reminder that every voice deserves to be heard.
Whether you stutter, know someone who does, or simply care about authentic stories of courage and humanity, this episode will inspire you to listen more deeply, speak more honestly, and embrace the unique voice that makes you who you are.Fri, 24 Oct 2025 - 100 - Off Track: Debunking UAE Myths, Generational Alignment & The Hero of Social Media
This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my refreshing and open conversation with Ebrahim Abbas - a proud Emirati Gen Z influencer with millions of followers and a clear mission to debunk myths around the UAE.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that stuck with me following my conversation with Ebrahim. The first is why UAE attracts so many people to come live here, and why it is a powerful message and example to other countries on how to effectively incubate and nurture incredible opportunities for a diverse body of people. The second insight looks at the inter generational divide between Millennials, Gen Z Gen Alpha - they each bring something to the table, but the combination of all 3 can actually unlock something special. Finally, I give my view on which social channel is the ultimate ‘hero’ and if I was a betting man - which channel would be the one to focus on!
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.

Luca and Ebrahim explore loving your country out loud: calling out misinformation, navigating online influence and accountability, and discussing Gen Z ambition and the rise of Gen Alpha. They dive into fast cars, slower lives, and the ethics of going viral—why sources, credibility, and protecting truth matter more than winning arguments.
Whether you’re a creator, brand strategist, policy watcher, or curious about the Gulf, this episode is a masterclass in honest storytelling, media literacy, and digital impact.Fri, 17 Oct 2025 - 98 - Off Track: From Liberating Beliefs to Liberated Living
This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my incredible and personal conversation with Zeina Abboud, a practitioner of ‘Theta’ as a healing modality. I have been a client of Zeina’s for over a year.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I have taken from my overall lessons with Zeina as well as from the recent episode we shared together. The first reaffirms my conviction that our minds are absolutely the most powerful things in the universe, with the ability to put us firmly in the driving seat of our own lives - provided our subconscious is free from limiting beliefs that shackled us since childhood. The second focuses on how to deal with narcissists and the required values you must have, and finally the perfect balance that spirituality can play in our healing, even when combined with science.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 14 Oct 2025 - 97 - Zeina Abboud on ThetaHealing, Narcissistic Abuse & What Doctors Don’t Tell You About Trauma
What happens when a deeply intuitive healer steps into the spotlight to share her near-death experience, her journey into the subconscious, and her mission to help others reclaim their power? In this extraordinary episode of Luca’s Insight Track, host Luca Allam is joined by Zeina Abboud—a theta healer, trauma specialist, and spiritual guide—for one of the most profound and emotionally charged conversations to date.
This isn’t a surface-level exploration of alternative healing. It’s a deeply layered, intimate dialogue that delves into what it really means to heal—from early childhood trauma, toxic relationships, and even death itself. Zeina reveals how theta healing removes limiting beliefs from the subconscious mind, rewires the brain, and empowers individuals to rediscover their inner strength and purpose.
But Zeina's authority doesn’t come just from theory—it comes from surviving the unimaginable. After being clinically dead for 1 hour and 17 minutes, she returned to life with clarity, conviction, and a renewed mission. Her account of visiting the "Council of 12" and her insights into the unseen spiritual world will leave you questioning the nature of consciousness, destiny, and what it means to truly be alive.
Together, Luca and Zeina explore pressing themes of modern mental health: why so many people feel stuck, the invisible weight of narcissistic abuse, how childhood beliefs shape adult patterns, and the internal fear that stops us from owning our lives. They also debate the legitimacy of spiritual healing in the scientific age—citing pioneers like Bruce Lipton, Joe Dispenza, and Gregg Braden who are proving that energy, emotion, and biology are inextricably linked.
Is healing mystical or methodical? Can alternative modalities like theta healing be more than just complementary to traditional therapy? What role do free will and destiny play in our journey? And how do we protect our energy in a chaotic world that rarely allows us to pause and reflect?
This conversation is as practical as it is soulful, filled with real stories, surprising insights, and raw vulnerability. It challenges the cynical and comforts the curious—especially those quietly searching for meaning, wholeness, and peace.
Whether you believe in God, the universe, or just the power of the mind, Zeina Abboud’s story is a living testament to human resilience, spiritual depth, and the radical possibility of change.
This episode is a must-watch for anyone on a journey of self-discovery, trauma recovery, or conscious transformation. Let it be the nudge you need to reconnect with your purpose—and own the life you were always meant to live.

This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my fantastic marketing conversation with Moadh Bukhash, the former CMO of ENBD and the current CMO of Pure Health.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I took from my chat with Moadh. The first is where has the marketing magic gone? The absence of great advertising campaigns in 2025 vs the past is worrying as creativity, passion & inspiration seemingly have been replaced with data obsession and sticking to the safe and trusted approaches. The second insight is around the over-focus on short term results and how it plays into the hands of the CEO and CFO - at the expense of the CMO and long term business growth. Finally, why misunderstanding AI and its role in the marketing dynamic, offers an even bigger threat to removing creativity entirely from this industry.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 07 Oct 2025 - 95 - The Dark Side of Marketing: Budgets, Procurement & Broken Creativity with Moadh Bukhash
What happens when one of the region’s top marketeers steps away from boardrooms to reveal the truths behind the industry? In this thought-provoking episode, Luca sits down with Moadh Bukhash—CMO of PureHealth, former CMO of Emirates NBD, and member of the renowned Bukhash family—to explore the art, struggle, and future of marketing.
This isn’t just about ad campaigns. It’s a candid, often humorous masterclass in creativity, leadership, and legacy. Moadh reflects on his journey from Mubadala and Enoch to steering some of the UAE’s most powerful brands, while unpacking timeless questions: Does the agency make the client—or vice versa? How do you build trust in “utility” brands like banks and petrol stations? And why is the hardest job of any CMO not driving revenue, but transcending generations?
They explore a shifting landscape—where AI can generate assets but not inspiration, where agencies must evolve beyond bloated overheads, and where authenticity is the only true differentiator. Along the way, Moadh shares personal insights on Arsenal fandom, growing up in a high-profile Emirati family alongside Anas Bukhash, and how culture, respect, and passion shape not only teams but entire industries.
Can marketing still inspire in a world obsessed with data and short-term funnels? What role should purpose play? How do you protect creativity under cost pressure? Moadh opens up about resilience during the 2008 crash, lessons from Arsène Wenger, and why he prefers supporting his family story over chasing the spotlight. From safe words (“zebra”) to fainting classmates and ice-breaking family names, the conversation blends wisdom with warmth.
Whether you’re a CMO, agency leader, brand strategist, or simply curious about how marketing really works—this is essential listening. Packed with real-world lessons and candid humor, Moadh’s journey reminds us that marketing is about respect, passion, and the power of storytelling across generations.Fri, 03 Oct 2025 - 94 - Off Track: Leadership Beyond Gender, Bias, And Titles
This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my very informed leadership conversation with Marisa Kamall, the former MD of HSBC and the founder of Gaia network, a women’s leadership network in Dubai.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I took from my chat with Marisa; how we should define effective leadership - irrelevant to the men vs. women debate; how our personal & collective unconscious bias is impacting our reality - and why we need better sources of insights to provide balance to our opinions; and finally why focusing/obsessing about titles is doing more damage than good - namely by suppressing the development & growth of your personal brand.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.
Tue, 30 Sep 2025 - 93 - How Marisa Kamall Survived Burnout and Reinvented Leadership for Women
What happens when a woman at the top of corporate life walks away from a prestigious title, a comfortable paycheck, and a high-stakes role managing over 5,000 people—only to find her voice, her purpose, and her true power on the other side?
In this deeply personal and emotionally charged episode of Luca’s Insight Track, host Luca Allam sits down with Marisa Kamall, former Managing Director at HSBC and founder of Gaia—a leadership platform designed to support and empower women across the Middle East and beyond. But this conversation isn’t just about career shifts. It’s about motherhood, identity, mental health, feminism, and the radical decision to align your life with your values.
At the height of her corporate career, Marisa was leading global teams and checking every box of success. Then, within months, she gave birth, experienced postnatal depression, was hospitalized with pneumonia, and faced a career-altering restructure. The physical, emotional, and existential toll nearly broke her—but it also set her free.
What follows is not a collapse, but a rebirth. With disarming honesty, Marisa unpacks the hidden struggles of high-achieving women and the moment she realized that power and peace could finally coexist. She shares how Gaia was born—not as a reaction, but as a purposeful stand for female leadership that is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and community.
Luca and Marisa delve into the tough stuff—unconscious bias in the workplace, the isolation of motherhood, financial insecurity, and the privilege of speaking out. They challenge old-school definitions of leadership and explore what it looks like when women stop performing and start leading on their own terms.
This isn’t a polished "girlboss" tale. It’s the real story of a woman who went through the fire—professionally, personally, politically—and emerged grounded, vocal, and awake. From the symbolism of mangoes to the shocking gender bias behind car safety design, no topic is too small or too big. The result is a compelling exploration of patriarchy, power, purpose, and what it means to truly live a values-aligned life.
Marisa Kamall doesn’t just speak about change—she lives it. And in doing so, she offers every listener the rarest kind of invitation: to question the systems we serve, to lead with integrity, and to remember that real success only matters if it feels right on the inside.

This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my eye-opening conversation with Henri Arslanian, an award-winning crypto author, CNBC presenter, and co-founder of a crypto hedge fund here in the UAE.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on 3 insights that I took from my chat with Henri; how uncertainty around Crypto & negative PR are major power weapons to keep centralized and financial control, why there remains plenty of room for both education & courage in our financial decision making, and why common sense still should play the overriding role in our investments.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.Tue, 23 Sep 2025 - 91 - Henri Arslanian Exposes the Dark Side of Crypto (And Why He Still Believes)
What happens when one of the world’s most respected crypto minds meets one of the most thoughtful voices in media? In this electric episode of Luca’s Insight Track, host Luca Allam sits down with Henri Arslanian—global crypto authority, author, hedge fund founder, and relentless educator—for a conversation that moves far beyond hype.
Henri Arslanian is no ordinary guest. A former PwC partner, adjunct professor, CNBC co-host, best-selling author, and co-founder of Nine Blocks Capital Management—one of the world’s largest institutional crypto hedge funds—he brings a rare combination of academic rigor, practical insight, and human warmth to one of the most misunderstood industries today: crypto.
But this isn’t your typical blockchain jargon-fest. From Bitcoin’s role as “digital gold” to the explosive rise of meme coins, from the inner workings of stablecoins to the real purpose behind central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), Henri breaks it all down with energy, clarity, and zero ego. He explains why Bitcoin was a Nobel-worthy breakthrough, how the double-spend problem was solved, and why decentralization isn’t just technical—it’s a civilizational shift.
The conversation also covers the harsh realities: the scams, the regulatory failures, and why “crypto bros” damage the industry’s public image. But Henri brings more than criticism—he brings solutions. He advocates for financial literacy for all, shares the vision behind his children’s book Decoding Crypto, and passionately explains why even a $10 purchase of Bitcoin can change how people see money and value.
What makes this episode truly special is the balance between global finance and personal reflection. Henri shares his Armenian roots, the multigenerational immigrant journey that shaped his perspective, his law and banking career across Asia and North America, and the mindset he adopted to lead in an industry that is still being defined. He speaks five languages, reads economic history for fun, and takes time every month to reflect—asking, “How am I being disrupted?”
From why the UAE is becoming the Silicon Valley of Web3, to how digital assets can empower someone born in an underbanked country, this episode is a masterclass in crypto, economics, and global citizenship. If you think crypto is only about getting rich, you’re missing the bigger picture—and Henri helps you see it.
Whether you’re crypto-curious or deeply skeptical, whether you’re a startup founder, investor, policymaker, or student—this episode will challenge your assumptions, educate your mind, and energize your worldview.

This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my open and frank conversation with Hikmat Wehbi, an award-winning photographer and podcaster who has recorded over 230 episodes.
In this improvised Off Track episode, I focus on just 1 insight that I took from my chat with Hikmat - how influencers, hosts, and guests all have an important choice to make: share your true opinion on important subject matter, or play it safe and opt to keep everything status quo. With the added context of the news about Charlie Kirk, speaking your opinion can come at the heaviest price. For those that are willing to share their unique voice, it provides the opportunity to help others to open their minds - something of real value to all of us.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I share my own personal insights and values that continue to shape who I am. Off my chest and off the cuff, welcome to Off Track.Tue, 16 Sep 2025 - 89 - Hikmat Wehbi Tore Up a $20K Check, Dropped Out, and Reinvented Storytelling Through Podcasting
What happens when one of the Arab world’s most beloved podcast hosts finally trades seats and becomes the guest? In this captivating episode of Luca’s Insight Track, the mic is flipped on Hikmat Wehbi—a renowned visual artist turned podcasting legend—whose 225+ episodes and 40M+ views have reshaped the art of storytelling across the Middle East.
But this isn’t just a look back on his success. This is a deep, vulnerable, and often humorous masterclass in creativity, psychology, and authenticity. Luca explores Hikmat’s evolution from a broke student with a dream and a camera to becoming a household name, trusted by celebrities, brands, and everyday listeners alike.
They unpack everything: from the pivotal photography competition that launched his career to producing soulful exhibitions across Europe, from turning quiet moments into viral podcast clips to navigating language, identity, and self-worth in a city like Dubai. Hikmat reflects on what makes a good host (“It’s not the voice—it’s the silence”), why visual storytelling is more than lighting and lenses, and how he found peace during 12 hours in a Saudi airport jail.
This episode challenges industry norms. Why does podcasting still receive less than 1% of ad budgets in the UAE and Saudi despite explosive listener growth? What do real stories offer that scripted influencer content doesn’t? And can podcasting truly shift the future of brand communication?
We also go personal: Hikmat opens up about self-doubt, imposter syndrome, the loneliness of creators, and why he avoids watching himself on screen. He speaks about reading people, building trust, protecting guests over chasing virality, and the sacred responsibility of hosting someone’s truth.
Whether you’re a budding podcaster, a brand strategist, a fan of Middle Eastern media, or simply someone navigating identity in a hyper-digital age—this conversation is essential listening. Rich with insight and grounded in emotion, Hikmat’s journey reminds us that good content doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be honest.
If you’re curious about the intersection of visuals and voice, art and algorithms, fame and feeling, this episode will stay with you long after the credits roll.

This is a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my incredible conversation with the Nelly Attar, the mountain climber who has summitted over 30 peaks, including Everest and K2.
In this raw and improvised ‘Off Track’ episode, I share 4 insights that I took from our conversation; how lacking relatability can lead to loneliness & isolation, the dangerous and different roles that fear & complacency play in blocking our personal growth, the widening gap of perception vs. reality and how inspirational people/ things aren’t how they seem, and how prioritizing mind development vs. body enhancement is what separates the good from the great in not just extreme sports.

What happens when one of the Arab world’s most fearless adventurers sits down to share the risks, triumphs, and raw truths behind her record-breaking climbs? In this riveting episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Luca is joined by Nelly Attar—the first Arab woman to summit K2—whose journey from dance studio founder in Saudi Arabia to conquering some of the world’s deadliest peaks is nothing short of extraordinary.
But this isn’t just about mountains. It’s about mindset, grief, resilience, and the pursuit of purpose. Nelly opens up about losing her father to COVID-19, and how that heartbreak became the catalyst for her most ambitious challenges. They dive into the razor-thin margin between life and death at 8,000 meters, the stolen oxygen bottles that almost ended her climb, and why fear—handled right—can keep you alive.
They unpack it all: the birth of Saudi Arabia’s first female dance studio at a time when music in public spaces was banned, building a community for women’s fitness against the odds, and pivoting her life’s focus after closing her business. Nelly reflects on Everest vs. K2, the mental tricks that keep her going in the “death zone,” and how to spot the moment complacency becomes dangerous—on a mountain or in everyday life.
This episode also tackles bigger questions. How can sports be a tool for social change? What does it take to turn physical suffering into emotional healing? And why do so many of life’s biggest rewards come from calculated risks?
We also go personal: Nelly shares her views on marriage as a “risk,” the advice her parents gave her about never settling, and her ambitions to shape sports policy in Saudi Arabia. She talks about surrounding yourself with people who challenge you, using gratitude as fuel, and learning to slow down long enough to enjoy the view before chasing the next summit.
Whether you’re an athlete, entrepreneur, dreamer, or someone navigating your own mountain—literal or metaphorical—this conversation is packed with hard-won wisdom and contagious energy. Nelly’s story is a reminder that the highest peaks aren’t just climbed with muscle, but with mindset, courage, and purpose.
If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to stand on top of the world and still keep climbing, this episode will leave you inspired to take your own leap—no matter how steep the ascent.

Welcome to a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. This 'Off Track' episode was inspired by my conversation with the now former CEO of OSN, Joe Kawkabani. Joe was the perfect guest to share insights on how media keeps evolving, the bleak state of linear television, and the cluttered world of content. With podcasting now increasingly becoming mainstream, I challenged him on the role podcasting has in the content mix and its emerging relationship with advertisers.
In this raw and improvised ‘Off Track’ episode, I talk about the importance of why we need to support local brands as local heroes vs their global competitors, how to differentiate these brands through clever marketing & positioning, and that exporting our regional content vs. importing global content, has a much longer lasting benefit to us all.

What happens when a private equity investor steps into the media world and takes charge of one of the Middle East’s most iconic entertainment brands? In this unmissable episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Luca sits down with Joe Kawkabani, former CEO of OSN, for a raw and thought-provoking conversation about the battles, lessons, and transformations that defined his leadership.
Joe isn’t your conventional media executive. A financier turned quasi-entrepreneur, he was handed OSN at a moment when many predicted the company would collapse. Instead, he led bold moves—launching OSN+ as a premium streaming service, acquiring Anghami to expand into music and tech, and reshaping the balance between local Arabic content and global Hollywood hits.
In this episode, Joe opens up about the pressures of stepping into an industry as an outsider, the skepticism he faced, and why authenticity—not polish—became his leadership style. He reveals what it took to rebuild trust, why piracy was his biggest threat, and how deals worth millions nearly fell apart before finally crossing the line.
They also unpack the big questions shaping the future: Is linear TV dying? Can podcasts become the region’s next media frontier? Why do Saudis and Emiratis lead the world in podcast listening while brands still ignore it? And how do you balance personalization with data privacy?
This isn’t just about media—it’s about resilience, reinvention, and leadership under pressure. Whether you’re a creator, entrepreneur, or strategist, Joe’s reflections will inspire you to think differently about risk, change, and the future of storytelling in the Arab world.Fri, 29 Aug 2025 - 84 - Off Track: Leadership, Virtue and Life Lessons with Osman Sultan
Welcome to a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. In this 'Off Track' edition, it was inspired by my conversation with the MENA region's number 1 telco guru, the former CEO of Du, Osman Sultan. Osman was the perfect guest to kick off season 4, with insights on leadership, the telco industry, and most importantly, - life lessons from someone that has amassed incredible experience and wisdom.
In this raw and improvised ‘Off Track’ episode, I talk about the role of virtue and balance in leadership and our lives, how surrendering influence, just like Osman is the key to gaining deeper wisdom and knowledge, and that accountability and responsibility remain the hallmarks of a great leader - something that remains absent on the global political stage. Talking to people like Osman only reinforces why I set up this podcast in the first place, there has never been a more important time to ask the right questions, to listen intently on the information, and to open up the pathway that can lead to deeper fulfillment and personal development.
In this unfiltered and improvised episode, I also share my personal insights that continue to shape who I am. What happens when one of the Arab world’s most influential CEOs steps off the corporate stage and opens up about life, leadership, and legacy? In this powerful episode of Luca’s Insight Track, Luca Allam sits down with Osman Sultan—the legendary telecom visionary who served as CEO of du for 15 years, transforming the UAE’s telecom monopoly and mentoring nearly 30 future CEOs in the process.
But this isn’t just a story of business success. It’s a rare, candid, and often emotional masterclass in leadership, balance, and resilience. Osman shares the lessons learned from four cities that shaped him—Beirut, Paris, Cairo, and Dubai—and the philosophies that guided his journey from a young engineer to one of the region’s most respected business figures. They unpack everything: from putting a mobile phone in every Egyptian’s hand to launching du as a lifestyle brand, from navigating boardroom politics and crises to choosing balance over extremes in an age of rapid change. Osman reflects on what it truly means to be a “people’s CEO,” why integrity sometimes comes at personal cost, and the delicate art of knowing when to control and when to let go.
This episode doesn’t shy away from the human side either. Osman speaks about raising five children across three marriages, the wisdom of juggling health, wealth, and time, and the inevitable transition from being a two-ring power player to finding new purpose as an investor, chairman, and writer. He shares intimate stories about family, the meaning of legacy, and why “balance” is the virtue he lives by.
Along the way, Luca challenges Osman with bold questions: Did du do more for you, or did you do more for du? Is it worse to compromise when right or be inflexible when wrong? And what does good leadership really look like in a world reshaped by AI?
Whether you’re a young professional seeking inspiration, a CEO grappling with legacy, or someone fascinated by how technology, society, and leadership intersect—this conversation is essential listening. Rich with insights and grounded in humility, Osman’s journey reminds us that leadership is not about power—it’s about people, balance, and the stories we leave behind. If you’re curious about the future of leadership, telecom, and humanity in the AI era, this episode will stay with you long after the credits roll.

What happens when the world’s most curious interviewer meets the world’s most advanced artificial intelligence? In this thought-provoking episode of Luca’s Insight Track, we take you into a groundbreaking conversation with ChatGPT, an AI that has spoken to more humans than anyone else on the planet.
This is not your usual tech talk. There are no rehearsed lines, no scripted prompts. Just a genuine attempt to explore the biggest questions of our time—together with a machine that doesn’t feel, doesn’t live, and doesn’t die. And yet, it responds with nuance, empathy, and startling clarity.
The conversation dives deep into timeless philosophical dilemmas and emerging ethical concerns: Can AI ever truly understand love, family, or mortality? Does the ability to simulate emotion equate to real empathy? What happens to human creativity and authenticity in a world increasingly shaped by algorithms?
We also examine the risks and responsibilities tied to the rise of AI. What would it mean for AI to be trained with bias? Can it be misused by those in power? And most importantly—can we trust a future where machines may evolve faster than we do?
Luca challenges the AI to answer with honesty, even pressing it on the ultimate bombshell question: Can AI ever be 100% trusted not to overthrow the human race? The answer may surprise you.
Beyond the hypotheticals, this episode is a reflective mirror for humanity. It celebrates the uniqueness of human experience—our creativity, our individuality, our emotional depth—and it urges viewers to think about how we engage with technology not just as users, but as shapers of its purpose.

Welcome to a special bonus episode of Luca’s Insight Track. Ahmad has created hundreds of melodies/jingles for brands in the region, and he was the mastermind behind the new sonic branding for this podcast - which I believe is a first for a podcast in MENA.
In this episode, I talk about 3 main insights - the low level role of audio in marketing and how it continues to threaten the creation of great content and branding ideas, the crucial importance and lessons we can learn from Ahmad in putting your soul into creating something, and the undeniable importance of discovering your true authentic voice with self reflection and awareness. Ahmad’s talent and genius is undeniable, as is the sentiment that we all have some genius in us, if we are prepared to re-discover that for ourselves.

But this isn’t just an episode about audio. It’s about artistry. And what it means to give pieces of your soul to the work you create.
Ahmad shares his near-death experience, the founding of Mind Loop Studios and On The Field Academy, and why sonic branding isn’t just about being catchy — it’s about capturing who you are and where you’re going. Together, he and Luca dissect the psychology of sound, AI in music, and why a jingle can outlive any campaign.
You’ll also hear raw reflections on burnout, talent, alienation, and the lonely road of entrepreneurship. And in a rare moment of vulnerability, Ahmad offers a message to anyone still searching for their voice in a world full of noise.
