Today, we’re continuing the Canada Binge with a crazy story from Nova Scotia. We extended the Canada Binge by one more week before we get to Willie Pickton. This week, we’re covering the Marriotts and Melvins feud. Its Canada’s modern day drug fueled version of the Hatfields and McCoys. The 2 families were both drug dealers, and they didn’t like each other. That’s basically it, although the story is crazy, and its directly tied to the Quebec Biker War. It ends with most of the key players either dead or in prison. These families have been compared to the real life Trailer Park Boys, which is actually filmed in Nova Scotia.

Joining us on this episode is Morgan Rector of Human Monsters. He was a great guest, and he provided insight on some of the geography of the story. So, join us, and get ready because next week, we’ll be doing Willie Pickton part 1...If I don’t find another crazy Canadian story.

Continuing the Canada Binge, we have another collab. Krys and Jess from Moms, Wine, and True Crime join us. They're also from Canada. They're a really good new podcast that I hope will be around for a long time, and we had a blast recording this.

Jennifer Pan was a 24 year old college student, whose overbearing father made her decide that her only option was to kill him. This after she lied about graduating high school, and getting into college, and getting busted in the lie.

She and her boyfriend hired a group of 3 guys to carry out the hit, although nothing goes as planned, and she is busted. The wheels are falling off her story, as she digs deeper and deeper, trying to lie her way out of it.

Hey, everybody...This week’s episode was an absolutely horrific story. Canadians do their cults crazy. The first one that comes to mind is the Anthill Kids. This cult isn’t that bad, but it is in the Gertrude Baniszewski and Mother Anna’s House of Prayer level of depravity. Its called His Rest Christian Fellowship, and there is literally nothing online about it that I could find other than a 2 minute news story from when they were arrested. I found the book when I was looking for a Canadian cult to cover.

This story of course has a crazy woman who thinks she’s God’s prophet, and there is lots of abuse at her hands, plus insane interpretations of the bible. There are also vulgar displays of judicial malpractice, although the police did a great job getting these people to the courtroom. It also has 2 incredibly brave kids. So, give it a listen, and tell someone about it.

And this is a case of be careful what you wish for, because it was absolutely horrible. Paul and I were pissed off pretty much the entire episode. But this case needs to be better known. We are the first podcast to cover it, and I want other podcasts to cover it too. Also, I’m including the link to the book because there’s a lot that I left out.

Welcome to the second episode in our Canada Binge series. Tonight, we’re covering a surprisingly unknown case. The Quebec Biker Wars. A turf war between the Hells Angels, and rival clubs, Rock Machine and Bandidos. It also involves the Quebec Mafia.

This starts off when the leaders of the Montreal Hell’s Angels chapter offed leaders of northern Hell’s Angels chapters. The Montreal leaders were sent to prison for the murders, and Montreal’s Hell’s Angels chapter was left in disarray, and had lost the respect of literally all of he other Hell’s Angels chapters.

Enter Maurice Boucher, who was tasked with putting te club back together and regaining the respect of the Hell’s Angels again. He meticulously did over the years, and soon, they were a force to be reckoned with once again. A new club had sprung up from the ashes of Hell’s Angels, called Rock Machine. They were led by Salvatore Cazzetta, a former Hell’s Angels member who had defected. Cazzetta also had ties to the Quebec Mafia, so Rock Machine was protected. But, Cazzetta was arrested as a drug supplier, which left Rock Machine vulnerable.

What happened next was a multi year long war that made what the NYC mafia did during prohibition seem tame by comparison. So, join us as we tell this story that is full of strategy, subterfuge, drugs, violence, politics, and Harleys! Why this story isn’t well known is beyond me, but we hope you liked this story as much as we did.

Welcome to the CKCB Canada Binge! This is the first of at least 4 Canadian true crime cases in a row! And, joining us on this episode are Christie and Melissa of the Buried Motives Podcast!

This episode is on Alan Legere, someone who could have been classified as the first incel. He had a typical rough upbringing that could be expected for any kid whose father walked out on him. But, he took it personally, like the world was conspiring against him.

This attitude spilled into adulthood, where he began committing robberies, and assaults, and later, sexual assault attempts. People owed him their wealth, and women owed him sex, and he was going to take it.

He committed his first murder by robbing an elderly couple. He killed the man, and sexually assaulted the woman, and thought he killed her, but she survived. He was arrested, but escaped, and for several months, he terrorized the small town of Miramichi. He robbed, and murdered, and had the town in panic, and stayed one step ahead of the police until he was finally caught, and locked away for good.

In Lexington, SC, 1984, a 17 year old girl, Shari Smith was abducted. Nobody saw anything of use to the investigation. An extensive search began. The FBI, and John Douglass himself were on the case. And, nothing was turning up. Then, the phone calls started.

A man was calling, claiming to have Shari. He began taunting the Smith family relentlessly, and they had to maintain their cool, and keep this guy on the phone as long as possible. The abductor made Shari write out a last will and testament, which he mailed to the Smiths. The calls were traced, and by the time the police got to the location, the caller was long gone. Shari's time was running out, and the taunting calls kept coming. At one point, he threatened that he would get to Shari's older sister, Dawn. He began saying incredibly sick things, making it obvious that Shari was not only dead, but that he had raped her as well. He finally gave the location as t where he had dumped Shari.

About that time, 9 year old Debra Helmick was abducted. The caller continued to taunt the Smiths, and gave directions on where to find Debra's body.

Finally, a break came when Shari's will was further analyzed, and the caller/killer was identified as Larry Gene Bell, a scumbag loser who John Douglass had perfectly profiled.

Join us in this cat and mouse game with a sadistic killer, who turned out to be a bumbling idiot. He was sloppy, but it was rock star level police work that solved this case.

Welcome to Episode 100! We made it! And, to celebrate, we’re covering a hippie trippy drug cult. The Source Family. A cult that began when hustler/con artist, James Baker opened a health food store in California, in the 60’s. With his money and fame from that, he discovered the grooviness of drugs, and began considering himself to be a guru. He ran those stores into the ground, and opened The Source, which was a health food restaurant. The stars of the time loved his health food restaurant. It was the place to be for A list Hollywood elites. He taught the teachings of the Age of Aquarius, and whatever else he dreamed up.

He would later change his name to Father Yod, and amassed a following of over 200 people, crammed into small houses. And as time went on, he got crazier and crazier, forcing orgies on his entire clan. His own version of faith healing was the gospel as well. It became a psychedelic boot camp of sorts. He also decided he deserved multiple wives, because he was God.

If there was any kind of legacy left behind, it was the music. He had a psychedelic traveling band, that made multiple albums, which are the Holy Grail to music collectors today.

Run out of California due to allegations of underage liberties, he fled to Hawaii, where his life ended in one of the more creative ways for a cult leader to die.

We’re going back down under, to cover our third Australian serial killer. Ivan Milat was an Australian serial killer who terrorized the Outback for years. He was convicted of 7 murders, although he was suspected in many more. He liked attacking backpackers, which there were always plenty of. And, most of them were foreigners, so he could get away with it.

We cover his back story from his harsh upbringing which led to his crimes, as well as a very abusive husband. Also, the extremely close knit relationship he had with his siblings. They had a gang that robbed banks, and if one got caught, another would take the blame for it. This led to an exile to escape justice, although he came back, and they story continued.

He didn’t just kill his victims. He tortured them for hours before killing them. He was ultimately caught, and his trial was explosive. He was almost found innocent! It would take the testimony of a tourist who survived an attack coming to Australia on his own dime to testify, combined with weapons evidence to put him away.

Ivan Milat was realistically the most prolific Australian serial killer, but because he was only convicted of 7, that title goes to John Bunting, and the Snowtown and Bodies in Barrels murders, which we covered in Episode 48.

Ivan was also the inspiration for the Wolf Creek horror movie franchise.

Tonight, we go back to the great Sunshine State. The Tampa area, to be specific, on a fairly recent case. This one is insane, and is a who dun it mystery from start to finish.

Bartender and model, Sandee Rozzo was shot to death in her car, in what looked like a mob hit. There were multiple suspects, and as they were ruledout, one prime suspect remained. But, he had a rock solid alibi, which was verified by several different people. Good old fashioned police work solved this case, and despite a very good plan, the murder (or murderers?) were brought to justice.

A love triangle. A pawn or two. A foolproof plan. A murder mystery. And, criminals who thought they would get away with it...if it hadn’t been for those pesky police.

Ok, we weren't living under rocks. Both Paul and I knew about how Jared from Subway got busted for messing with kids. But that's ALL we knew prior to doing this episode. We didn't know the sheer evil and depraved monster that hid behind the all American good guy image that he and Subway put in front of the cameras.

We cover how he went from being extremely morbidly obese to becoming slim, rich and famous using the so called Subway diet. He was so famous that even famous people wanted to be seen with him. He was on every TV multiple times a day, and he became a very well paid and popular motivational speaker, while he and Subway laughed all the way to the bank.

We also meet a courageous woman who Jared revealed his true nature to, causing her to launch a crusade to bring him down. This ruined her life. We also cover how his #1 man became an enabler, supplying Jared with all the forbidden treasures he wanted, and how this ultimately led to his downfall.

He used his charity to fund his adventures. He flaunted how he was able to get away with his depravity, and if he hadn't been caught, he'd still be doing it, and who knows what it would have escalated to. Subway even tried to cover it up at first.

He literally thought he was bulletproof, but luckily, he was taken down. So, join us. Grab a soda and a Jersey Mikes, or Firehouse Sub or a Pub Sub. Anything but a Subway sub, and get ready for an intense episode about one of the sickest pukes we've ever covered. In the end, Dennis Rader got what he wanted. National infamy. But, he didn’t get it how he wanted. Towards the end, he began to realize that whether he got caught or not, people would know that Dennis Rader was BTK.

So, did he hit the big time? Is he worthy to sit with the other heavy hitter serial killers at the Big Kids Table? Or, should I say Big Table Kids?

Suzan Bear believed she was a godly entity who was thousands of years old, and was sent by God to usher in the end times. She was to create an army of soldiers to rid the world of witches.

She was part of the hippie counter culture, and constantly on drugs. She found Michael, a name she chose for him, saying that Allah told her that Michael was his true name. Michel, as in the archangel. They followed a constantly changing skewed version of Islam that changed whenever they needed to justify something. If you disagreed with Suzan on anything, you were a witch, and that was when they started committing murder. A wild case for sure.

Got a treat for you tonight! Jody Plauche joins Bill to cover the twisted serial killer and rapist, Derrick Todd Lee. He comes from Jody's hometown, and he requested this case for us to cover.

We cover Lee's childhood and his obsession as a peeping tom, even before hitting puberty. As a teen, he escalates into assault and even more peeping, and burglary.

He gets married and has kids, and gets a mistress, but he's still peeping, which later leads to rape and murder. He's also abusive to both his wife and mistress.

He would study his victims for weeks before making the kill. And he even did some comically stupid things as well like asking a woman whose home he breaks into out on a date, and even gives her his phone number.

We also cover the one detective who had this case figured out spot on, 100%, despite a task force telling him he was wrong.

This case is wild from start to finish, and Jody was great as a cohost!

We also have a much younger funeral director (Bernie) who everyone in town loves, and he is as far as the ladies in town are concerned, he's the most eligible bachelor in Carthage Texas. But, he's gay.

So when Marge's husband dies, Bernie handles the funeral, and the 2 become very good friends. Or do they?

Marge is taking Bernie on trips all over the world, and even makes him the sole beneficiary in her will. remember, her family hates her.

Merry Thanksgiving, everyone! We decided to to release this one a little early!

Yeah, we wet there with this guy. Peter Kurten is one of the worst.

Todd is taking some time off, so filling in for him is Matthew Brockmeyer of Murder Coaster, which is a great podcast. Plus, Bill has a nasty cold, but he powers through it.

Peter Kurten was born in 1883, the oldest of 13 kids in a 1 bedroom apartment, with a super abusive prick for a father. He would force his kids to watch him abuse and rape their mother, then he began abusing the kids, especially Peter.

Peter killed 2 of his classmates, and was taken in by a creepy dog catcher who molested him, and taught him how to torture animal

His father then escalated to raping Peter's younger sister. His mom caught him in the act, and he was arrested. Peter picked up where his father left off, also raping his sister. His mother caught him, and he bolted.

He began breaking and entering, and raping women, but was caught. He wound up joining the army but deserted. He then began killing women, and would do prison time again.

After that, he went back to his sister, who reluctantly took him because her husband insisted. He then met a woman with a checkered past that he could relate to, and they were then married.

Part 2 gets really brutal.

Todd and Amy Mullis were pig farmers in Iowa. They did not have a happy marriage and Amy had 2 affairs, which Todd knew about. One day, Amy is found by her son, Trystan, with a corn rake sticking out of her back. Her husband, Todd and their son, Trystan rush Amy to the hospital, after Todd removed the rake from Amy's back. On the way, Todd calls 911. Amy is pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, but her death is ruled a homicide.

This was a very divisive case, with some people saying Todd is guilty, and some saying he was innocent.

Doris and Cecil Babcock lived together in Dunnelon, FL. Cecil was an over the toad truck driver, and one day, he was unable to reach Doris on the phone. He was in Kentucky, and was freaking out. He called his daughters, and they couldn't reach Doris either. He called the police.

An officer showed up and found Zach Snyder in the house. He was a 19 year old that they had taken in, but he had just moved into his own place.

Lou Castro (Real name, Daniel Perez) was a con man, and he was really good at it. Before too long into adulthood, he began concocting an unbelievable story that would rope in the unsuspecting and people who were at the end of their rope.

He began telling people that he was an angel, and that he was 1000 years old...Or several thousand years old...Or, that he had powers to see into the future and prophecy when people would die. He could also raise the dead. He could also bring people back from the dead. He himself had come back to life. Whatever he needed the story to be was what it was, and his small group of cultists believed every word of it.

But, he needed money, and lots of it. So, he talked his members into taking out huge life insurance policies on themselves, and then they would die, and Lou got all the money.

He had a compound in Kansas, nice cars, and he and everyone else were living large.

He also convinced them that he had to have sex with as many young girls as possible, so he could continue to be immortal.

In 1978, inmates, Gary Tison and Randy Greenwaldt broke out of an Arizona prison with the assistance of Gary's 3 sons. They then went on a killing spree in an attempt to get to Mexico, where they thought they'd be safe. This story has one of the most satisfying endings of the main bad guy that we've ever covered.

Here we are, wrapping up our first ever 3 part series. Let us know what you thought!

In the conclusion, Carl really goes off the deep end, and begins his documented raping tour. This would take him all the way to Africa, where he couldn't help himself. He wore out his welcome there, and in the process, raped and killed a boy, and then 6 men in 12 hours. He wanted to get back to the US, and finally, after a comedy of errors, he makes it.

Back in the US, he continues his crime spree, but also shows traces of being human when he found a boyfriend, who later betrays him. He comes unglued, and finally decides it was time to start his dream of domestic terror attacks, but winds up getting arrested for the last time, and his past comes back to haunt him.

He's ultimately hung, and with that, the story of one of the most brutal and prolific serial killers comes to an end.

Carl is released from Leavenworth, and begins a cross country raping, robbing, and (more than likely) murder spree. In Part 1, we discuss Carl's harsh childhood, where he was conditioned at home to become the monster that survived everything that came his way.

Slave labor and sleep deprivation on his family's farm as a boy toughened him up. His father did a botched home ear surgery that may have damaged his brain. He began getting violent, learning to fight, and got sent to reform school, which was more like a torture compound, run by a sadistic religious pedophile.

He takes to the railways, and endures even more abuse. He joins the Army, and winds up in Leavenworth, and when he leaves, he is a well built mass of muscle and hatred. At 6'5" and nothing but muscle and hatred, and a belief that man on boy rape must be normal because everyone was doing it to him, he is released from Leavenworth, ready to make the entire human race pay for the horror that he was subjected to his entire life. When he's released, he is only 19 years old.

John Robinson was SCUM. He only cared about himself, and literally nobody else at all. Not even his own family. Early in his adult life, he scammed anyone he could. Blatant and ballsy scams. But soon, he gravitated toward murder. But, this was still scam based. He would hire women to work at his fake business, and kill them, and have their money sent to him.

Later, he discovered the internet, and chat rooms. He was very much into BDSM, but he didn't believe in safe words. He would constantly have unsuspecting women come to him to be his sex slave. Some would never be seen again.

The police work in this case is brilliant, and there is a MAJOR twist at the end. We had fun with this story, and we hope you had fun listening to it.

We have a special one for you tonight. 16 year old Nora Ashleigh was taken from her bedroom at 3AM and taken into the wastelands of Utah, where she was abused and subjected to all types of cruelty, and even torture. She endured this for 2 years until she finally escaped, and never looked back.

But this wasn't a kidnapping or human trafficking incident. This was done at the request of her own parents. The people who took her were part of a goon squad, that worked for the Troubled Teen Industry. Isolation camps used to reeducate teens with issues. Issues in most cases that were the result of bad or lazy parenting. And, this is all 100% legal, and in many cases backed by the government. Many politicians and celebrities have dumped their teenage children off on these legalized gulags.

This is a multi million dollar industry, that still exists right now, and it isn't going away any time soon. Now 36 years old, Nora has taken the fight to them, and has become an activist against these organizations, whose practices would be shut down if it was a cult, or a far right militia camp or religious fundamentalist group.

Hundreds of deaths are on the hands of these groups, yet the victims get swept away, and not one of them has been held accountable.

Part one is Nora's personal experience at the hands of these sadists. Part two is her escape, and all she and other survivors are doing to raise awareness.

In 1996, William Reece was released from prison in Oklahoma for a kidnapping and rape that he had been convicted of in 1986. Not missing a beat, he killed 4 women that we know of, 2 in Texas, 2 in Oklahoma, including a 12 year old girl. This is one where I am sure there are more victims. He had kidnapped and was going to kill and rape another woman, but she escaped. He was sentenced to life in prison for this one, but the 4 murders were unsolved. But, in 2015, DNA linked him to the murders. He confessed to murder, but not rape, and his excuses and lies are comedy gold. He was tried for them in Texas, and was given life. But Oklahoma wanted the death penalty. Did they get it? Grab a beer and find out!

In 1990, Danny Rolling rolled into Gainesville FL with one purpose in mind...To kill a bunch of University of Florida students, and to be infamous like Ted Bundy. He killed 5 people over a few days, then was caught, trying to rob a Winn Dixie (Wood Duckie) grocery store.

Another man was initially arrested for the murders, but the truth was discovered thanks to a house wife from his hometown of Shreveport, LA, where he had already killed 3 people.

He had a horrible childhood, which fueled the monster that he became. His courtroom antics at his trial are comedy gold. He and a journalist, Sondra London, a known serial killer groupie began communicating and supposedly fell in love. She wrote his book for him.

Danny was also a guitarist and singer. We play one of his songs, Mystery Rider, and at the end of the episode, you'll hear Bill's heavy metal version of the song.

This episode is based on the incredibly insane story portrayed in Netflix's 'The Girl In The Picture' documentary. It tells the story of a young woman left for dead on a highway, her creepy and much older husband, and her young son.

When she died in the hospital, a mystery arose. Who in the hell were these people? This story spans multiple states, and in the end, after an intense and confusing roller coaster ride, we have the complete story of a serial killer/rapist/kidnapper/child molester who got away with it for a very long time. But, ultimately, a rock star FBI agent, a true crime author, a missing persons advocate, and 2 more rock star FBI agents blew the lid off of this, and brought justice to the victims, and got this puke put away.

This is one of the craziest stories I've ever heard.

David Carpenter had a hard childhood. An abusive set of parents. And to top it all off, his mother made him take ballet class. He grew up to be a sadistic serial rapist and serial killer.

He was convicted of 8 murders, and suspected of 2 others. But, I'm convinced there are more. Many more. His first murder was at 49 years old, and he had attempted murder many years before that. His victims were along the mountain trails in California, where he had easy pickings, and seclusion.

He started off making bonehead mistakes. Many of them, any one of which would have gotten other serial killers caught. But, he learned from each mistake, and improved his technique. However, the murder that took him down, he made a whopper of a mistake.

He was convicted, and sent to Death Row, and at 97 years old, he is the oldest person on California's Death Row.

We're releasing this one a few days early! This is our first unsolved case. Its unsolved, but it is intense, and full of police negligence. Its maddening at times. Catherine Mowrey was murdered in June of 1985 in Dallas, TX. She was found in the trunk of a car, wrapped in a blanket burrito style, with a belt tightly around her neck. The police ruled it a drug overdose, or accidental death, even a suicide.

In 1993, Catherine's sister, Jo-Ann was also murdered, but that case was solved. Years later, the youngest sister, Deborah found out that the Dallas Police Department had literally done nothing towards solving this case. The went into serious depression, and unfortunately, ended her own life as a result of her depression.

Deborah's daughter, Catrina Marshall, who was named after Catherine, who went by Catrina took the case. She is spreading awareness everywhere, and holding DPD's feet to the fire. Her message is clear: SOLVE THE CASE!!! She has made several things happen by doing this. I believe the case is close to being solved. Justice for her aunt, and especially, justice for her mother, whose life ended as a result of depression over the ineptness of DPD.

We're going historical on you for the first time! We're covering the USS Indianapolis, which was the ship that delivered the components for the 'Little Boy' atomic bomb that would be dropped on Hiroshima, during World War II. After making its delivery, it was torpedoed by a Japanese sub and sunk. The mission was so top secret, that nobody even knew the ship was missing.

Sailors were in the brutal pacific ocean, starving, being baked to death by the sun, and being dried out by the unforgiving salt water...And, eaten by sharks. It would be 5 days before they were rescued.

After the rescue, the US Navy was desperate to not have egg on their face, so the captain was court marshaled in a kangaroo court, and found guilty. This led to him being demonized and he ultimately committed suicide, leaving the crew members with another war to fight. Captain McVay had done nothing wrong, and he was given bogus intelligence as well. The crew members took on the government to clear Captain McVay's name.

We are doing a 2 episode series on the Gambino Crime family in New York City. Its not exactly a 2 part episode. Its more like 2 related episodes. In the first one, we cover the life and rise of one of the mafia's most ruthless and feared hit men, Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano, who orchestrated the hit on Gambino boss, Frank Castellano, resulting in John Gotti taking over, which leads to Sammy defecting, and turning rat for the government, in exchange for a deal that brought down the mafia as a whole. We also cover his childhood, and how he rose to be the #2 man in the Gambino family, only to burn it to the ground.

Sammy then joins the witness protection program, and ships out to Arizona where he doesn't stay hidden very long. He writes a book, does interviews, almost gets whacked by the Gambinos, but winds up getting arrested and serving 20 years. Why? Listen to find out. This was a fun episode.

Audio alert: We were trying something new, and Todd accidentally had a compressor going. Its not bad, but its noticeable.

Brian Trimble had it all. He had a great job, and a fiancé who adored him. He also had MS though. He and his fiancé, Randi were married in a beautiful storybook wedding. But as they began their married life, Brian began feeling sheltered because his wife, Randi was as he put it over protective of him due to his MS.

He became close with a coworker, Blaine Norris, who had dreams of becoming a horror movie director, and he had a script for a movie, and was determined to film it. But, he needed money, which Brian had. Randi put the brakes on it, saying that the money they had in the bank was a nest egg in case Brian's MS ever got bad to the point he wouldn't be able to work. She also forbade Brian from even being involved with the movie because the location had no cell service. Blaine then went into serious debt for the movie, which cost him his marriage.

Brian became angry, and Blaine needed money. The two hatched a plan that wound up being proof that you don't want to combine horror movie lore with reality. Join us for this fucked up story.

We discuss Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettle's background, and how they took this from a crazy idea to a legit cult that had close to 50 people when it ended. It ended of course, when the majority of the cult all committed suicide to advance to "The Next Level" which was a planet where they would live for eternity in an existence devoid of personality, feelings, and sex. These people bought in 100% to the teachings, believing that Applewhite and Nettles were the second coming of Jesus Christ, who had the tickets to leave Earth and go away in a spaceship to a better eternity, and that the only way to get there was to off yourself. Castrations not withstanding.

What can we say? This is the most brutal and disturbing case we've covered. There's only one victim, but she was put through immense amounts of hell and torture. CORRECTION: In the episode, we say that this took place in the 70's. We didn't math very well. It took place in 1965.

Gertrude, AKA Satan had a traumatic childhood that effected her for the rest of her life. She took in 2 sisters, a teenager and a kid, whose parents were traveling for work. What she did to the older of the two girls is horrific, but she also got multiple neighborhood kids in on this sick train of abuse. Not to mention, her own kids who were also active participants. This is the type of horror movie script where in the movies, the victim comes back and kills everyone. Sadly, that's not what happened here.

Its brutal, disturbing and heartbreaking. Todd tapped out in the episode, and Bill was coming close. Don't listen with kids around, please.

Today, we start a 2 part episode on Warren Jeffs and the Fundamental Church of Latter Day Saints cult. An off shoot from the Mormon church that occurred when the Mormons banned multiple wives. Warren's father, Rulon Jeffs became the prophet, and Warren was the heir apparent. Rulon made him the principal of a FLDS school, where Warren began crafting his warped view of Mormonism, and indoctrinating the students. When Rulon died, Warren assumed the role of prophet, and not only amped up the multiple wives, he also brought in child brides, and began trafficking young girls to creepy bootlicker men in the cult. He also instituted a set of the most draconian laws imaginable. Women were nothing more than breeding stock.

EPISODE 50!!!!! YAAAAYYYY!!!!!

In the 1930's, over farming caused a major ecological disaster in the Great Plains area of the United States. It started in Texas, Kansas, New Mexico, Colorado and Oklahoma. But the resulting cloud went all over the country, and even into Canada. You can Google 'The Dust Bowl' for a deep dive on it, and its a good read. We do a decent nutshell version of the story in the episode.

BUT, there is a story that was lost under a cloud of dust. A spree killer who used the dust storms to commit his murders in complete secrecy because everyone was inside, taking shelter from the storm. Thadius Morton, a WWI veteran who had suffered head injuries in the war, and was likely exposed to chemical weapons.

After the war, he married, had twins, one twin died, and that sent him over the edge into a paranoid rage that resulted in 7 people being killed in 24 hours. This rampage was glossed over due to the world wide story of the Dust Bowl.

In our first CKCB interview with both Bill and Todd together, we talked with Vic Ferrari, a retired NYC detective who worked on organized crime cases, stolen vehicles, and lots of other things. He worked under 3 different NYC mayors, and has seen a lot of shit. So, when he retired, the next logical step was to start writing about the crazy things that he saw while in the line of duty. And believe me when I say he's seen a shitload of crazy. But, he puts a comedic spin on the stories, which makes his 6 books extremely entertaining to read, and he shares some of the stories with us. Yeah, we went there. We're covering the homeless and murderous Pauly Shore clone, Kai, the Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker. The man who in 2013 went viral for rescuing a woman from a man who he had hitched a ride from. The man intentionally slammed his car into a utility vehicle, pinning the driver of the utility vehicle in between the 2 vehicles. When people tried to help him, he attacked one of them, and Kai became an internet sensation after he beat this jerk with a hatchet. Everybody wanted to interview him. Reality show producers wanted to  give him his own show. He appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show. But, this guy wasn't all there, and had an attention span that lasted less time than a punk rock song. And, Kai wasn't the hero that he was made out to be.

We have a doozy for you today. A teenage sex cult, run by pedophile Mexican music producer, Sergio Andrade, and his biggest star, Gloria Trevi.

Sergio was VERY good at developing female pop acts in Mexico. He had several platinum artists under his belt, and he was very well respected. Everything he touched turned to goldplatinum. He was a gifted musician, and producer, and he had a knack for finding every client’s individual strong spot, and he would bring this out in them. His record speaks for itself.

But, if that’s all he did, he wouldn’t be featured on CKCB. He had a taste for underage girls, and married one of his acts. He was also an abusive tyrant prick. But once he discovered Gloria Trevi, and she became Mexico’s top selling pop act of all time, he used his resume to entice many more young girls into his clutches, under the promise that he would “make them a star!”

Before too long, he had a harem of girls that he was physically and sexually abusing, and he became the target of an international manhunt. One of his ‘clients’ who got the hell away from him was instrumental in bringing him down. Her courage is very admirable.

Well, we're loading up the CAMPER VAN, and going back to Scotland. We haven't been there in a while, but we're covering Peter Tobin. A vagabond serial killer with a thing for young women and girls. He moved around so much that he was hard to catch. He was only convicted of 3 murders, but he is (strongly) suspected of many more. He was also suspected of being Bible John, the Scottish serial killer whose case is unsolved, and authorities still have no clue as to his identity. Tobin was a sick and demented man who confessed to 48 murders, but only did it to taunt authorities. We'll never know how many people he actually killed, but there are quite a few that we're 99.7% sure that he did. We go over those, as well as the ones we know he did, as well as his abusive life story.

Yeah, this one is intense. We explore the childhood into adulthood of Texas Tower Sniper, Charles Whitman who camped out oat the top of the clock tower at the University of Texas, Austin, and opened fire on anything that moved for over 2 hours. The warning signs of his mental state deteriorating were there. Charles even knew it, but he ignored it, and the result was the worst mass shooting that had ever happened in the US at the time. We cover all of it, from start to finish, and it got to be a little much toward the end. But, we got through it. So, buckle up and get ready to take a journey into the mind of a psycho who believed that everyone else was to blame for his failures, resulting in a horrific tragedy.

Just when you think you've heard it all, you find out that there are French wine terrorists. Yes, you read that right. In 2006, CRAV, a group of French wine makers and purists who had been protesting the EU laws on wine trade upped their game and began attacking stores distribution centers, and chateaus that were using imported wine, and cheap domestic wine. These rules were cheapening the product in favor of imports and exports, taking away from the quality of genuine domestic French wine. The French are SERIOUS about their domestic wine, so they declared war to the point that millions of gallons of imported wine flooded the streets of France. They are listed as a terrorist group, and they even attracted the attention of Muammar Ghaddafi, who wanted to arm them in their fight against the French government.

Wow, people! This episode was by far the worst cult we've covered. And, it happened in our home state of Florida. This is a relatively unknown case as well. 

The cult has most of the boxes checked to identify a religious cult. But, it has a twist. The cult leader is a woman. She unleashed hell on her followers, who believed that she was literally God. Its a brutal story, and this bitch got what she deserved in the end. So, buckle up! Its a bad one.

In this episode Bill and Todd tackle Christopher Worrell and James Miller who committed one of the worst serial killing sprees in Australian history. James was a gay older man, and Chris was a very good looking younger man. But, Chris was straight, and he used James' feelings for him to manipulate him into doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted. Specifically, being his accomplice in the brutal rapes and murders of 7 women in a 2 year period in the late 70s.

Chris was a complete narcissist and manipulator. He controlled James, and had him so brainwashed that James would never dream of betraying him. James believed that one day, the two of them would be an item, and that made him go along with every sick and twisted thing that he did.

Well, we did it. 4 serial killers in 4 weeks. We wrap it up with the gay potato man, Ronald Dominique. This puke had a very high body count for a lesser known serial killer. He preyed mostly on impoverished black men from New Orleans and the surrounding parishes. Between 1997 and 2006, he murdered at least 23 people, by luring them to their demise with promises of sex, money, alcohol, drugs, or even sex with "An attractive white woman" whom he had a picture of, which happened to be a picture of his niece. He was definitely one of the worst, but this story also comes with a twist. CKCB Host, Bill had an encounter with Ron in New Orleans in 2000, and he tells that story as well. 

We are joined by Mark, the host of Mental Illness Theater, and together, the 3 of us rip this douchebag a new asshole. And that is especially bad for Ron since his own asshole was broken.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Have a serial killer story to open presents to ! In what turned out to be an absolutely hilarious episode, we discuss the Norwegian turned American female serial killer from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. We talk about her upbringing, her move to the US, and how she ended up killing multiple men and her children for life insurance money, and just to flat out rob them. She would lure men to her farm and their doom, promising to combine fortunes, and marry to become some sort of a power couple. They would leave everything to come to be with her, but as soon as she got all their money, they would vanish. Then one day, she vanished and was (stupidly) presumed to be dead after a fire in her home. 

Our Norwegian friend, Flaccid Jizless, the Black metal tambourine man (From episode 14, the Black Metal episode) makes an appearance.

It was all predicated by the book, 'Michelle Remembers' which was a load of shit concocted by its author, a psychologist, and his wife, a former patient of his. Everyone was being accused of being in a satanic cult. Lives were ruined. Families were destroyed.

In 2004, Marvin Heemeyer destroyed the town of Granby CO with a ginormous monster of a bulldozer that he had built to be impenetrable. It was to get revenge on the towns people who had allegedly done him dirty, and he thought he did it with the blessing of God, or so he thought.
