On Criminal Record this week: The Daily Record reported last week on the latest crackdown on organised crime in Scotland. This time a Vietnamese crime group involved with human trafficking, fraud and cannabis cultivation were the target of a series of raids by police.They are also now the largest foreign national group in our prisons prompting fears of a gangland feud behind bars. Around 9,000 criminals across Scotland are currently fugitives from justice including people wanted for rape and murder. During Freshers Week at Scotland’s universities, there has been a big increase in drink spiking cases with calls for a change in the law by parents of one victim. Shocking figures regarding inmates in Scotland have been revealed. Almost one in four cons held in Scotland's prisons are doing time for sex crime and what's even more worrying is that the majority of cases involve children. The son of a notorious gangland figure Kevin Carroll is said to be wanted by police and Francis "Fraggle" Green, son of former crime boss Jamie Daniel is said to be the new de factor head of the Daniel family.     Crime boss Steven 'Bonzo' Daniel has been charged following an early-hours police raid at a house in Glasgow. Cops swooped on the address in the Robroyston area of the city at 6am on Wednesday. The sting was part of Operation Venetic, a long-running police investigation tackling organised crime gangs. Meanwhile, police chiefs have been urged to bring in controversial new "Big Brother" technology to crackdown on the rising tide of football hooliganism across Scotland.
