It's not common for me to think a movie is beautiful. Especially if that movie is Sci-Fi. 'The Creator' may be the first time for me.

James interviews his friend and former coworker Tasha about life as acontent creator...but not just content creator. You know the kind. The kind that has the 'spicy link in bio.'That kind. Somehow, this episode stayed pretty mild, but if you've ever heard this podcast before, you should still keep it NSFW in your brain. This episode focuses on what it's like as a full-time content creator of this kind, what it takes to get going, and what kind of impact it can have on 'normal' life.

Venture down the highway to hell (North Hollywood) in this nostalgic episode of a band forever locked in the annals of Colorado metal history; The Mandrake. An abridged tale of the time James spent as the frontman for the melodic death metal band from Northern Colorado. Also some stuff about dancing with beautiful women, going to a concert after 2 years of not going to concerts, and something about Megan Fox.

A wedding, some film festivals, and a band in the studio update. I suck at being a podcaster.

It's Independence Day weekend here in the USA. Celebrating the birth of a new nation and such. So, it just made sense to talk to a professional psychic medium, gardener, pet mom, host of The Magickally Delicious Podcast, and generally sweet woman, GINGER QUINLAN! (www.gingerquinlan.com). She also happens to be James' mom, so you know she's seen some s&!t. Realizing his listeners' lives have been left empty and aching in the absence of new episodic adventures, James returns to the microphone to wax poetically about all things. Well, only a few things. 35 minutes isn't a lot of time to talk about all things, when you really think about it. 

This episode starts of strong and upbeat with shoutouts to James' sister, Melissa, and a big thank you to everyone. James learned while editing that Nespresso and Nescafe are not the same thing...and though he says Nescafe repeatedly, he meant Nespresso...and shouldn't record first thing in the morning as a rule. Then the musings take a more somber turn up the Boulder turnpike as James goes on about how the recent shooting event there got under his skin quite a lot. 

A song by the band Apathy (Colorado) is included in this episode, with permission, and is also the namesake of this episode's title. Hug your people if you are able. Take care of yourselves, and each other.

A place on Earth that we can call Hell, but we’re lucky enough to call it home. Fucking pussies. Two minds so weak. What made them think they’d accomplish a thing? I’m sorry to the victims and their families. We all share in your grief. Weak-minded motherfuckers. How could this be? This can’t be happening to me. My mind’s now free. Eternal serenity. Fucking freaks. My mouth can’t scream. I can’t let these fucks take my life from me. But if I can hold on I might make it to see another day. Crouched on the floor. Horrors outside the door. I am numb to everything, except complete fear. I turned to God that day. I looked for His help that day in hopes that I could go away. Just go away, and see my family. But some died. A whole world cried. They lost their precious lives for nothing. What’s so wrong that our young think they have to kill to be heard at all? Fucking why, have innocent died? We’re truly sorry. Respect to you. And our love to you, and we hope that you make it through. But fuck those two that fucking put you through insane shit that you should have never had to go through. James finally returns to the microphone to announce the winner of the Death Metal Disco Giveaway - Rob Smith of New Mexico. Then we take a detour through the annals of history to his days as a 911 operator/dispatcher. 

James had the opportunity to be a guest on a friend's podcast called The Power In You, hosted by Rock On Ritchie, and Sunny Bunny. He has done some VO work for their podcast and has known Ritchie for over a decade. We discussed all kinds of random things. Literally, all kinds of things, from the benign entertainment, falling asleep on the sofa, to heartfelt realizations maybe our lives aren't quite where we want them to be at specific times, to pet peeves of turn signal usage. Sunny couldn't be on the episode as she was under the weather so here is another installment of 'sitting down with James and talking....a lot." James digresses hard about names, naming, and the reasons behind naming something a name. Did that description hurt you like it did me? Anyway, the tangent is strong with this one. Also something about a contest, Christmas in February, and a brief fight with his cat, Loki.

"It's a celebration..." wherein our dashingly handsome host with a face for radio and voice for phone sex (so he's been told) regales us with tales of his weekend off, hanging out with friends, and watching only the highest quality films found only in the upper echelons of the cinema elite.

In this 9th episode, which is definitely not the 10th episode, James let his tangential stories guide us through tales of the Pope, Synth Wave music, his first crazy experience with a redheaded lass, and how ride share passengers don't give a crap if the driver sees them naked or not. It's very, very random.

In what is sure to be a legendary piece of podcast history James sits down in a kitchen. Instead of eating, he chats with his friend and former band mate, Greg Burgess. Well known and beloved for his musical talents, Greg and James chat about only the most important things in life. If you are unsure of his legacy, listen to some music from Allegaeon, Nuclear Power Trio, or Organosyde...or, better yet, just google 'Greg Burgess Guitar' and treat yourself to some skillful displays of musicianship and artistry. This podcast is sure to disappoint!

Tik Tok ya don't stop....or something. James discusses his newest obsessions, thanks some supporters for their awesomeness, and travels through time to the year 2007. Tis quite the bangin episode...until next week's which will sure to be a power banger. Is that a thing? It should be.
