As I sit in the parking lot waiting to pick up my sister from school, I’m choosing to reflect.

It hurts to see people suffer in silence. Hurt people will continue to hurt people; but healed people can heal people. It’s a ripple effect.

I’ve literally been avoiding this episode…lol. But it’s time to be real; it’s time to be intentional. So imma call myself out a bit.

Been trying to make major decisions about my major. Pun intended. Failure has been taking me through an interesting and much needed process.

When you’re on the way to greatness, that’s exactly when all these distractions wanna come in full throttle. It’s not a coincidence, keep going! Remind yourself why you’re doing this in the first place. It’s always easy to do things that are beneath you, but greater risks give greater outcomes.

Pride, past experiences, bad habits, being humble, asking for help, hyper-independence, communicating, healing, letting go…It’s never just pride, it’s also been many things related to it.

I don’t like holding onto things for too long anymore. I have to be a vessel and just let things flow

With whatever you chose to do, there will always be a waiting period. The point of waiting is not necessarily just to wait but who you become while you wait.

I’m doing a whole lotta thinking and not enough doing. You can’t have ideas run through your mind forever! Put them out to the world!!

As requested, here are some thoughts on how to make and maintain boundaries. When they’re crossed, it can make you realize how important they are.

Saying no, taking a step back, changing your mind, these have all been essential things in figuring life out.

It’s been a lil bit! How’re y’all doing? I’ve been feeling pretty content with life lately.

Letting go of expectations and making our natural gifts a reality. This was another unexpected, yet necessary, discussion but with my day 1, my good sis, Anu Fasan.

You might feel discouraged at times and that’s okay; it won’t last forever. You are not your thoughts and you don’t have to listen to them.

I thought I was having a last minute kickback for my birthday but my beloved friends threw a surprise party for me in a completely different location!!! My birthday (Friday, April 8th) started with no plans for an outfit, makeup, whatsoever. But by the grace of God and with the help of such awesome people, somehow everything came together and I was SO surprised by the end of it all. One of my best birthdays fr. My heart is so full <3.

I lived for another year today! So it’s only right I start the day off with some good ole reflection :D

A suggested topic that is also an ongoing thing for me. I touch on self-confidence, confidence in my environment/those around me, and Godfidence.

This goes into my mindset on making important decisions and waiting for answers to come to you. Patience is indeed a virtue and idk about y’all but I need more of that.

Mistakes are my biggest teachers because they can impact me the most. However, they do not define my whole being. And at the end of the day, everything happens for a reason.

Yes I’m a little lactose intolerant but me no care. Ice-cream is the ultimate comfort food & I will continue treating myself :)

So you don’t want peace you want problems always?? Maybe you’re right because problems have been helping me out lately. No shade to peace though cuz I’m definitely staying in that too.

Also known as BPT or Black people time, African time has many people in a chokehold that we must fight to break free from. Abeg let’s make time our ally not our enemy.

Things feel like they’re changing and I like the Kelly that I’m becoming. Still figuring out that sleep thing though…LOL

Grief expands more than just physical things. I learned a new definition of grief and found the beauty in it.

If there’s one thing I need to do this Spring Break, it’s take a BREAK. My relationship with sleep is wack and we need to emphasize the importance of just BEING human beings.
