    Dearest listeners,

Here’s a long-overdue episode with Mr. Magnolian! Famous man for his luscious, deep timbre, he continues serenading the simple, whimsical moments of our lives. I had the absolute joy of talking about each and every song on his new LP, Supermarket Daydreams, along with an inside look into organizing something that’s never been done before: a concert incorporating traditional Mongolian instruments alongside the Tumen Ekh ensemble across all his songs.

Listen to the inside stories behind the tracks—I’d suggest listening to the LP in full, pausing between songs to hear the story behind each one! Don't miss your chance to see Magnolian Live with Tumen Ekh Ensemble concert on Oct. 23 & 24—it will be unforgettable!

  • 66 - Podcast Sonsloo Special: Highlights & Insights from IASJ Mongolia 2026 | Ep.66 / Part 1

This episode is special in so many ways. From July 6th to 11th, downtown Ulaanbaatar was immersed in jazz music from all around the globe. As someone who loves music and the personal stories behind it, I just had to capture these moments. While there is a bit of background noise from the live atmosphere, these raw, touching stories from the visiting jazz musicians and students make it all worth it.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their stories with me, and I feel incredible gratitude to have been part of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ) 2026 conference.

Note: This is Part 1! Stay tuned for Part 2, featuring conversations with Danilo Pérez, Ignasi Terraza, Sunny Kim, Massimo Cavalli, and more.

  • 65 - Podcast Sonsloo with Keller Coker | Ep.65

Our Sonsloo IASJ podcast series continues with an intimate conversation featuring Dr. Keller Coker, Chairman of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ). Recorded on-site inside the Dean's office at The New School, being immersed in the vibrant energy of the West Village set the perfect stage to look at the music through the lens of a lifelong artist.

Keller shares the story of his own musical awakening at 14 years old and offers an insider’s view of the New York jazz ecosystem—exploring how the scene has transformed over the decades and where it is heading next. As jazz becomes more global and genre-fluid, Keller breaks down the cultural shifts defining this new era of improvisation and what it means for the upcoming international exchange at the IASJ 2026 conference.
