- 162 - EP 161 - Stakeholder Alignment with Joy AdamsonWhen AI can summarize meetings, draft updates, and even recommend priorities, what remains uniquely human about stakeholder alignment? In this episode, product coach and advisor Joy Adamson joins Matt and Moshe to explore why alignment is still one of the most essential, and most human, parts of a product manager’s work.
As part of our First Principles for PMs in the Age of AI series, Joy shares why stakeholder alignment is much more than keeping people informed or collecting feature requests. It is the ongoing work of connecting organizational needs with real customer and user needs, creating shared understanding of priorities, navigating competing incentives, and building enough trust to make difficult tradeoffs together.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Joy:What stakeholder alignment really means, and why true alignment reduces the need for constant stakeholder managementWhy the word “stakeholder” itself can create friction when people assume their request should automatically become a roadmap itemHow PMs can set healthy boundaries, say no with clarity, and prevent feature requests from becoming unchallenged commitmentsWhy emotional intelligence, negotiation, trust, and informal relationship-building remain critical product skillsThe difference between simply considering stakeholder input and actually aligning on priorities, tradeoffs, and resource allocationHow hidden motivations, incentives, politics, and organizational culture shape product decisions in ways AI cannot fully understandWhere AI can help: meeting summaries, follow-ups, tailored stakeholder communications, preparation, and negotiation supportWhy AI-generated recommendations still need human oversight, accountability, and judgment, especially when trust, risk, or ambiguity are involvedCould AI agents eventually become stakeholders themselves? What that might mean for product teams and decision-makingWhy junior PMs should deliberately build their human relationship and influence skills as AI takes on more operational tasksAnd much more!Want to connect with Joy?Website: https://www.digitaljoy.nl/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamsonj/You can also connect with us and find more episodes:Product for Product Podcast: http://linkedin.com/company/product-for-product-podcastMatt Green: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mattgreenproduct/Moshe Mikanovsky: http://www.linkedin.com/in/mikanovskyNote: Any views mentioned in the podcast are the sole views of our hosts and guests, and do not represent the products mentioned in any way.

In a conversation that blends product thinking, personal reflection, and a healthy dose of AI skepticism, John helps us explore what it really means for PMs to define where they’re going, and how to get there.
John defines vision as the desired end state or future outcome, and strategy as the path, phases, and tradeoffs required to reach it. With examples ranging from long-term business goals to the realities of regulated industries, he explains why product managers still need to lead on vision and strategy even when leadership doesn’t provide a clear direction, and why AI can support this work, but not fully own it.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with John:
What vision and strategy actually mean in product management, and why they’re easy to confuse - How to connect a big vision to practical milestones, obstacles, and key results Why AI can help with analysis and brainstorming, but can’t replace human creativity, empathy, or rule-breaking thinking - The limits of AI in regulated spaces like finance and healthcare, where context and compliance matter Why PMs often have to create strategy when the organization doesn’t hand it to them - How to use AI as a thinking partner without outsourcing your strategic judgment The balance between staying anchored in the long-term vision and adjusting to the realities of the market, user needs, and constraints John’s perspective on where product teams should be careful not to let AI flatten nuance or over-automate strategy And much more

In this episode, Rebecca Douglas joins Matt and Moshe to unpack why these skills matter even more as product teams lean harder on AI tools.
With 14+ years in product and a career that started in customer service and client relationships, Rebecca brings a grounded view of what product managers actually do when the stakes are real: prioritize tradeoffs, interpret messy context, build trust with stakeholders, and make decisions that AI can help inform but not own. Together, they explore where AI saves time, where it creates new risks, and why PMs still need to slow down, validate, and think deeply before shipping.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Rebecca:
What human judgment really means in product work, and why it matters most in prioritization, tradeoffs, and strategic decisions What empathy looks like in practice for PMs, especially when serving both users and non-users like legal, operations, and compliance teamsWhy AI can help with synthesis, documentation, and repetitive work, but still needs human oversight and validationHow regulated environments raise the bar for judgment, trust, and accuracyThe risk of “empathy debt” when teams move too fast with AI and skip genuine user understandingHow Rebecca uses AI in her own work to save time on research, competitive intelligence, and requirements, while keeping decision-making humanWhy product managers shouldn’t let AI become the answer to every problem just because it’s availableHow to balance AI fluency with restraint, especially when accuracy thresholds matterWhy Rebecca’s poll choice of Human judgment and Empathy resonated so strongly with product leaders And much more!Want to connect with Rebecca?

We’re kicking off a new series with a very timely question: what does product management look like in the age of AI? In this first episode, Matt and Moshe set the stage for *First Principles and Beyond for Product Managers in the Age of AI*, exploring how PM work is changing, what should stay human, and where AI can genuinely help.
The conversation ranges from Matt’s work implementing software for government agencies to Moshe’s hands-on experiments with AI coding tools like Cursor, Kirk, and Claude Code. Along the way, they dig into the tension between speed and judgment, debate what “product sense” really means, and start shaping the core theme of the series: identifying the first principles of product management before layering AI on top.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore:
- How product management is evolving as AI becomes part of the workflow
- Why human-centered value delivery still matters, even when tools can generate work faster
- What “product sense” means in practice, and whether it can be defined as a set of first principles
- Experiments with AI coding tools, local development, and the possibilities of building faster with more leverage
- The idea of using AI to augment product work without removing human judgment from the loop
- Bring it to the audience by polling where PMs should remain involved, and where AI can take more of the load
- And much more!

With a decade of experience across financial services at American Express and Goldman Sachs, Ashana has worked on both consumer-facing experiences and the complex platform layers that power them.
She walks Matt and Moshe through how platform products differ from traditional products: instead of a single user flow, platforms support multiple product lines, regions, risk profiles, and entry points, all sitting on shared infrastructure like identity, decisioning, and risk data. That reality changes everything about how a PM does strategy, prioritization, communication, and stakeholder management.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Ashana:What “platform” really means in practice, and how horizontal capabilities underpin vertical consumer productsHow platform PMs think differently about impact when results show up indirectly through many dependent productsWhy tools like Productboard, and Jira need to be used differently for messy, non‑linear platform workTechniques for breaking down use cases, mapping the full scope, and prioritizing across multiple product lines and geographiesThe critical role of documentation, especially around variations, so teams don’t assume behavior is the same everywhereGovernance and failure modes:Over‑standardization that harms UXToo much flexibility that creates chaosHow to design a strong core plus controlled adaptationPartnering early with compliance, risk, ops, and legal in financial services so platform changes don’t get blocked lateHow AI is (and isn’t) used today in financial platforms, from fraud detection and behavior insights to reducing manual work, and where trust and regulation slow things downAshana’s approach to defining a platform vision, living roadmaps, and reserving capacity for platform evolutionA sneak peek at her new venture on income‑based affordability assessment in real estate and beyondAnd much more!Want to connect with Ashana?LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashanasinghania You can also connect with us and find more episodes:Product for Product Podcast: http://linkedin.com/company/product-for-product-podcastMatt Green: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mattgreenproduct/Moshe Mikanovsky: http://www.linkedin.com/in/mikanovskyNote: Any views mentioned in the podcast are the sole views of our hosts and guests, and do not represent the products mentioned in any way.

In this episode, Jacob Burghardt joins Matt and Moshe to talk about his new book Stop Wasting Research: Maximize the Product Impact of Your Organization's Customer Insights and how to turn research from a one‑off activity into a real product asset.
Drawing on his path from early dot‑com research and UX work through consulting and a principal PM role at Amazon, Jacob shares why teams keep re‑running the same studies, ignoring past insights, and treating “research” as a meeting on the calendar instead of an input into every major decision.
His book offers a big‑tent definition of research, which includes UX, market, data science, CS insights, and more, and a practical playbook for making all of it usable, visible, and integrated into product work.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Jacob:
How he moved from hands‑on research and design into product management, and why he stayed obsessed with the problem spaceWhat “research” really includes today (far beyond user interviews or dashboards)Why so much research gets wasted and the three root causes behind it:Research isn’t prepared for future useStakeholders aren’t motivated to careInsights aren’t integrated into planning, processes, or leadership ritualsA step‑by‑step structure from the book:Taking inventory of the research you already haveDiagnosing root causes in your orgChoosing from a “menu” of tactics that fit your contextWhat good looks like: strong operating models, clear places for research to plug in, and researchers treated as builders of internal productsHow smaller orgs without Product Ops can get started: simple visibility, mapping who’s doing what research, and basic communication channelsThe link between org mindset (feature factory vs. empowered teams) and how seriously research is usedPractical ideas for connecting research to go‑to‑market, pricing, packaging, CS, and sales enablementHow AI is changing the research landscape, where it helps and where human judgment is still essentialAnd much more!Want to learn more or get the book?

Please leave us a review and feedback ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wed, 10 Jun 2026 - 156 - EP 155 - Reshaping product development for AI’s impact with Gil Broza
This conversation with Gil Broza goes straight at a question many product leaders are quietly wrestling with: how do you bring AI into product development without breaking everything that already works?
Gil, author, coach, and long-time agility expert, returns to talk with Matt and Moshe about “reshaping product development for AI’s impact,” focusing not on building AI features, but on how AI is changing the way product and engineering teams work day to day.
He argues that while AI massively increases speed and output, it doesn’t change the fundamentals of good product development: clear direction, evidence-based judgment, solid technical foundations, and healthy teams.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Gil:
- Why AI is a “turbo engine in a car with old brakes” if you drop it into a system designed for human speed.
- How leaders confuse more output with more value, and why faster code can just mean “legacy code years ahead of schedule”.
- The difference between real agility and “performative Agile” (ceremonies, Jira theater) when AI tools are doing more of the work.
- How to think in systems: what you’re actually optimizing for (predictability, innovation, time-to-value) and how AI changes the constraints and feedback loops in your org.
- Practical blind spots leaders miss with AI adoption:
- Treating AI as an implementation, not a transformation
- Ignoring cognitive load and burnout when people work all day with agents
- Shrinking teams for “efficiency” and accidentally increasing isolation
- The three main ways to use AI in product development, and why you should be explicit about each:
- As a pairing partner (thinking, coding, design)
- As an autonomous agent
- As “just” automation (summaries, note-taking, etc.)
- Why skipping prototyping and experiments is now “less excusable” when AI can create testable prototypes in hours instead of weeks.
- What changes (and doesn’t) in roles like PM, engineer, and scrum master when AI becomes a real team member.
- Concrete steps leaders can take: apply systems thinking, revisit mindset and values, redesign ways of working for AI-speed conditions, and invest in continuous improvement again.
- How Gil’s new courses (“Reshaping Product Development for AI’s Impact” and “Leading AI-Enabled Product Teams”) help product and engineering leaders do this work intentionally.

Along the way, he kept returning to one insight: a calm, clear mind makes better product decisions. Product Ashtangi is his attempt to codify that, combining the eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga with modern product practice.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Bhavesh:
What “Product Ashtangi” means and why the first product you work on is yourselfHow the eight limbs of yoga (starting with Yama - truthfulness, ethics, ego‑awareness) translate into everyday product decisionsThe difference between building from ego and cosmetics vs. focusing on real user pain and social welfareHow to shift between observer and experiencer modes so you can see problems clearly instead of reacting emotionallyStories of applying these principles in practice, from enterprise migrations and platform decisions to Bhavesh’s current AI products (pet adoption and strata governance)Treating your life like a product: personal sprints, self‑retros every two weeks, and continuously “shipping” a better version of yourselfHow karma yoga and product management align when you see products as vehicles for societal good, not just business metricsThe structure of the book:Part 1 – theory connecting yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and product thinkingPart 2 – practical ways to adopt the eight limbs in your product workWhere to start if you’re curious: books, practices, and small mindset shifts you can apply this weekAnd much more!Want to learn more or get the book?

He argues there’s a better way, treating competitors as a massive time‑saver for validation and strategy, without letting them drive your roadmap.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Ran:
How Ran went from QA manager in cyber to owning product and driving millions in salesThe biggest mistakes PMs make with competition: copying feature lists, believing marketing at face value, and doing “one‑and‑done” competitive intelligence Why focusing only on direct “budget competitors” misses the real job‑to‑be‑doneThe Competitive Intelligence Pyramid:Feature level – how others solve the same problemProduct capabilities – pros/cons at whole‑product levelMessaging – how value is communicated and evolvesProduct strategy – what bets they’re makingCompany strategy – where the business is actually headingConcrete methods and tools at each level, including:Finding real users of competitors through screeners, communities, and support/KB pagesRunning “SUSHI” competitive user research: side‑by‑side tests of your product vs. theirs over timeTalking to integration partners and freelancers who implement multiple competing toolsUsing Wayback Machine, screenshots + Gemini, and Perplexity to track how sites, pricing, and positioning changeMining public earnings calls for strategic signals in the language leaders useHow to systematically identify your true competitors (and what it means if you can’t find any)Treating CI as a muscle: what “small start” looks like and how to keep learning over timeUsing competitors to validate your ideas by putting their products in front of your usersAnd much more!Want to connect with Ran or learn more?

We’re joined by Thomas Hartmann, co‑founder of Product Masterclass and co-author of From Project to Product Mode: A Game Plan to Unlock Scalability for B2B Software Products, for a candid look at why so many B2B software companies get stuck in “project mode” and what it really takes to become product‑led.Thomas shares his journey from entrepreneurship and lean startup experiments in San Francisco and Munich and to working with large organizations trying (and often failing) to scale.
Over years of coaching and transformation work, he and his co‑founder and co-author, Sebastian Borggrewe, saw the same pattern: teams with a strong product mindset trapped inside companies that still behave like project shops, where sales and single big clients dictate the roadmap and success is measured by project delivery, not product outcomes.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Thomas:
- How to recognize whether your company is truly in project mode or product mode
- Why B2B software behaves very differently from B2C when making this shift
- The “egg” analogy: product teams as the yolk, surrounded by an environment (the egg white) that often doesn’t care how things get built, only that they ship
- The seven areas that fundamentally differ between project and product companies: segmentation, pricing, discovery, prioritization, engineering, configuration, and product management structures
- Concrete signs of project mode: sales defining what to build, time‑and‑materials pricing, no real discovery, prioritization driven by the loudest customer, and PMs blocked from end users
- Why not every company needs to become a product company, and why it’s a strategic choice, not dogma
- A step‑by‑step path to move from project to product mode:
- Step 1: Align leadership and name the current state (you are a project org)
- Step 2: Find alignment among all product leaders on what to change
- Step 3: Prioritize which of the seven areas to tackle first (you can’t fix everything at once)
- Step 4: Enable the workforce and shift the surrounding “egg white,” not just product team skills
- How AI fits differently in project vs. product organizations: as a delivery accelerator in one, and as a strategic validation and discovery tool in the other
- Why tools like Claude Code can help PMs brainstorm, validate, and visualize, but won’t fix a broken mindset or culture
- And much more!

Lea shares her journey from intelligence work in the IDF, through product roles in EdTech, cybersecurity, and beyond, to founding a health management app for women with chronic conditions. Along the way, one pivotal discovery while consolidating four cybersecurity platforms, seeing men and women use the same filtering feature in completely different ways, sparked her deep focus on how gender shapes behavior in our products, especially in B2B contexts where it’s often ignored.
Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Lea:How a real-world analytics puzzle revealed stark gender differences in workflow, and changed how she thinks about usage data
The three pillars of context we can’t change (who users are, how they act, where they work) and the one we can: what we give them in the product
How “hacks” and workarounds used by different genders can hint at your next features
A practical system for existing products: using analytics to segment by gender, spotting behavioral differences, then following up with observation and interviews
How to approach gender representation when validating new products, and why balanced samples matter even for seemingly “neutral” tools
Ways to lean on existing research about gender patterns in your domain (health, education, finance, etc.) instead of guessing from scratch
Why early-stage startups should ship faster and learn from usage, while mature products might rely more on A/B tests and targeted outreach
The risk of building solely from our own biases and assumptions, and why gender should be on the PM checklist, even if it’s not always the first lens

In this episode, Radhika joins Matt and Moshe to challenge how product teams set goals, measure progress, and use frameworks, proposing a puzzle‑driven alternative to traditional OKRs and “framework-following” culture.
Drawing from her journey from electrical engineering and startups at MIT, through painful “product diseases” like Hero Syndrome and Obsessive Sales Disorder, Radhika shares why recipes and templates alone don’t create real progress. Instead, she introduces OHLA as a lightweight but powerful way to cultivate a Jedi mindset, one that keeps teams grounded in first principles, context, and learning rather than chasing vanity metrics and rigid targets.
Join Matt, Moshe, and Radhika as they explore:Radhika’s path from engineering and founding to Radical Product Thinking and now the OHLA Toolkit
Why classic goal‑setting and OKRs often backfire, creating “alibi progress,” outdated goals, and incentives to hide bad news
OHLA in practice:
Observe – what’s really happening in your product, team, or market
Hypothesize – what might explain it and how you’ll test those ideas
Learn – what the results actually tell you
Adapt – how you’ll change course based on evidence
“Puzzle setting” vs goal setting: defining puzzles with Observation, Open Questions, and an Objective summary to stay longer in the problem space
How OHLA complements design thinking by forcing teams to remain curious and uncomfortable before jumping into solutions
Practical stories, from maritime platforms to enterprise teams, where puzzle thinking led to very different solutions than OKR‑driven targets
How managers can shift conversations from “Did we hit the number?” to “How well did it work? What did we learn? What will we try next?”
A realistic path to transition: starting with your own puzzle, then introducing OHLA within your immediate sphere of influence

Across this conversation, we revisit the core themes that emerged with our guests and in our own experiments: from “vibe coding” and no‑code builders, to LLM assistants, enterprise privacy, agentic workflows, and the evolving role of the product manager.
We share candid stories of using tools like Google Stitch, Figma/Figma Make, FlutterFlow, Base44, and others to design and prototype a real mobile app; what worked, what broke, and why credits, pricing, and model limits matter far more than the glossy demos suggest.

Lovable: great for sites and simple flows, but not ideal for complex SaaS or CRM‑like products
Bolt: fun and fast for concepts, but why it never got him close to production
Replit: stronger agents and capabilities, but weaker UI output and surprising backend defaults that can get very expensive very quickly
Figma Make and Google Stitch: when design quality trumps everything else, especially for SaaS interfaces
The real costs of vibe coding: AI token spend, hosting/pricing traps, and why production economics matter as much as build speed
What his “dream product” would look like, including multi‑agent environments, better security/privacy, and built‑in QA and CI/CD
How all this is reshaping the product management role, and why curiosity and tool fluency are becoming must‑have skills

Drawing on decades in software development and his recent research into how AI is reshaping the way teams ship products,Marcos shares how CLEAR gives both technical and non‑technical builders a production‑oriented way to work with vibe coding tools.Instead of treating AI like a magical black box, Marcos frames it as an “idiot savant”: incredibly capable and eager, but with no judgment.
CLEAR wraps that raw power in structure, guardrails, and engineering discipline, so founders and PMs can go from prototype to production while keeping humans in control of the last, hardest 20%.
Join Matt, Moshe, and Marcos as they explore:
Marcos’s journey through engineering, founding, and AI research, and why he created CLEAR
Why AI tools like Bolt, Cursor, Claude, and Gemini are fabulous for prototypes but risky for production without a method
CLEAR in detail:
C – Context: onboarding AI like a new hire, using stories and behavior‑driven design (BDD) to articulate requirements
L – Layout: breaking work into focused, scoped pieces and choosing a tech stack so AI isn’t overwhelmed
E – Execute: applying test‑driven development (TDD), writing tests first, then having AI write code to pass them
A – Assess: using a second, independent LLM as a QA agent, plus a human‑run 5 Whys to fix root causes upstream
R – Run: shipping to users, gathering new data, and feeding it back into the next iteration of context
How CLEAR lowers cognitive load for both humans and AIs and reduces regressions and hallucinations
Why Markdown (with diagrams like Mermaid) is becoming Marcos’s standard format for shared human–AI documentation
How CLEAR changes the coordination layer of software development while keeping engineers central to quality and judgment
Practical advice for PMs and founders who want to move from “just vibes” to predictable, production‑grade AI development

In this episode, we’re joined by Giacomo Poggiali, a Sparring Partner for bold partners at Sparring Startups, to learn about his “Product Engine” framework for reaching PMF. Giacomo is a product coach and repeat founding product leader who has helped over 150 startups navigate the challenging path to product-market fit (PMF).
Giacomo shares how his journey began with the lean startup methodology as his thesis, and how he’s since applied those principles across design, product, and marketing in early-stage companies. After experiencing the transformation that comes with reaching PMF firsthand, Giacomo became passionate about helping other teams replicate that journey—again and again.
We dive into Giacomo’s perspective on what PMF really means, moving beyond textbook definitions to describe how it actually feels for a team: the shift from pushing a boulder uphill to racing after it as momentum takes hold. Drawing from years of hands-on experience, Giacomo introduces his “Product Engine” framework—a practical playbook for identifying your most valuable users, uncovering what truly drives value, and systematically removing blockers to adoption.

Marcus’s journey, like almost every product person we talked with, is anything but linear. From his roots in geomatics engineering and a hackathon win that led to founding CityConnect, to the hard lessons of startup failure, Marcus’s path has been shaped by persistence and a passion for building. After applying to 60 front-end engineering jobs, he pivoted into project management and quickly found his calling in product, bridging his entrepreneurial appetite with a growing interest in healthcare and technology.
Before entering the job market, Marcus headed Product at Medstack, which was acquired and his position was cut during the merger. This was an opportunity for him to explore what he loves doing and where he sees himself in his future career path. His path to his current position, as Head of Product, Platform at Dispatch Integration, inspired us to talk with him on the show about the process and tools he applied.

But they are a necessary need in our era for any organization who wants to keep their competitive edge, adapt to changing environments, build moats against new disruptors, and grow their market share. And more complex the organization structure and ecosystem are, the more challenging said transformation, hence the need for tools and frameworks to help us.
On the show today we met with Kiron Jones, Group Product Manager at Springer Nature, the world's largest academic book and journals publisher. The organization was created by a merger and acquisition of multiple publishers. This created a complex technical environment of many systems to support the business, publish the books and journals, and access the market.
In addition, the entire academic publishing sector has moved into a new open access model. Where in the past, libraries had to buy subscriptions to give access to readers for the materials, these days the access to the materials is free, and the authors are the ones charged to publish. Servicing this changed model has challenged the industry to come up with new solutions for the new clients, while still supporting high quality publications.
Product management in such an environment, as we learn from Kiron, is a challenging and rewarding task. The tools he and his team are using, and in some cases still on the lookout for, are helping them with stakeholder communication, prioritization and roadmapping, and so much more.

Have you ever been asked by a non-product person “what is it that you actually do?” We are sure you have! We know we and many of our friends have been through this, and it’s never an easy task to explain. Moreover, don’t you sometimes feel that people you work with - your teammates, stakeholders, and even your boss - don’t always understand what a Product Manager job really is? That was the exact problem our guest in this episode was about to solve. And the solution she built is… a children's book!
Meet Tami Reiss, product leader and founder of Leader Within, where she conducts keynote speaking, training, workshops, exec coaching and more! Tami wrote the book “What do Product Managers Do?A primer for aspiring PMs of all ages and parents who aren't sure it's a real job”, due to be released May 15th.Inspired by her own children, the book is a rhyming introduction to leadership and influence. Packaged with beautiful illustrations by V Lubow, and a dictionary with simple definitions of the terms we take for granted, this book does a great - and entertaining - job in explaining what we do, who we work with, some of our challenges and more.
Join Matt and Moshe as we chatted with Tami about:
- Her background in product and leadership
- How she got to write the book
- Building the book as a product
- Product Management lessons learned from working on the book
- A/B testing and user testing - testing the stanza and words in the book
- The complexity of the terms and words we are using
- Her vision for the book and how it can help all of us product people
- How would AI impact the job of PMs and the team in the future
- When is the best time for inspiration for new ideas?
- The importance of humility - even to admit that the data might be wrong
- Listen to some fun stanza read by Tami, and how much meaning they pack in a few words
- What does “dream” means (in the product context) and why is it important for product people to share it
- Where can you get the book once it’s out

But have you tried it yourself? And why aren’t there many other successful companies who are following Amazon’s direction, and use the same method, one that seems to be winning Amazon some very big bets?
Our guest today on the podcast worked for Amazon as a Director of Product & Tech, and experienced the PRFAQ framework first hand. When he left Amazon he asked these same questions. Following some research, he decided to codify and bring to print the principle of the PRFAQ method, therefore making it accessible not only to Amazonians but to everyone else who would like to try it, and reap its benefits.
Meet Marcelo Calbucci, Founder of PRFAQ Lab and author of the recently published The PRFAQ Framework: Adapting Amazon’s Innovation Framework to Work for You. With a rich background in engineering and product management, and founding several startups, Marcelo experienced both success and failures in developing and bringing new products to market. That enforced his commitment to help others become more successful with the framework he saw working so well at Amazon.

Some are done mindfully, with a process in place, and some are done on an on-going basis, without even thinking of it. In many cases, we struggle to find the right way to prioritize, especially when there are many factors involved, and many team members and stakeholders with conflicting needs.
In the episode, we met with Harry Max, a product leader, Managing Partner at Peak Priorities LLC, COO at productOps, and author of “Managing Priorities: How to Create Better Plans and Make Smarter Decisions”. With his extensive experience building products, and following his TEDx and South by Southwest talks, Harry found himself diving into many discussions about prioritization. This later on launched his journey to write the book.
In Managing Priorities, Harry gathered many priority related tools, but first started it with the DEGAP framework, which helps put everyone in the mindset of the need for prioritization.
Join Matt and Moshe as we chat with Harry and learn:
What DEGAP is: slowing down the process and planning how to prioritize properly. The framework includes 5 steps - Decide, Engage, Gather, Arrange and PrioritizeDifferent levels of prioritizations we need to make in lifeThe importance of understanding others’ priorities; better engagement to be part of the process, be heard, and be taken into considerations Prioritization is not the end result, just an input to our decisions and eventually, the actions to takeEisenhower Matrix - what is it, how different people might use it differently, and how in some cases it can help us in our prioritization processThe important of “cost of delay”, and how to use it in our prioritization discussionsPrecision vs accuracy - the importance of words and understanding what they mean to each of usMax Priorities Pyramid - what is it, who is it useful for and where can people find it (see link to the Miro template below)Which method would he suggest to our listeners todayWhere should people start to set up their prioritization methodAnd much more! You can connect with Harry at:

We are excited to bring to the podcast a startup that is building an exciting Data and AI product that can change how product managers and other executives are finding insights in the vast datasets they have access to.
In this episode, we met with Mo Hallaba, founder and CEO of Datawisp. With extensive background in data and analytics, Mo experienced first hand the complexity it takes for employees of all levels in understanding the data they have, and in using the mostly technical tools that usually require data scientists, and long queues and time, to provide any useful insights.
With that in mind, Mo created Datawisp, to bring the data - and more importantly, the insights from the data - directly to the people who need it. Using Natural Language Processing (NLP), Datawisp’s users can ask Wispy, its AI agent, for questions on things that are interesting to them, and Wispy then brings the data and the insights it learns from the data.
Join Matt and Moshe as we chat with Mo and learn:
- Mo’s background in financial analytics and his past entrepreneurship journey
- How AI opened up the options for people to think about how to solve the data problem
- Datawisp’s vision for how different teams in the organization can use it
- The current focus on Product Managers and Marketing
- Some of the feature of Datawisp, such as:
- Users talk to it in the same way they would talk to a data scientist
- If it doesn’t understand the question it prompts for more info
- The freedom it has to manipulate the data like a data scientist would
- Automatically picks a type of chart based on the question it was asked
- Different people asking the same question at the same time, would get the same answer
- How it handles security and privacy for its users
- Customizable dashboards for users for questions they want to ask on regular basis
- What needs to happen in an organization that adopts Datawisp
- What is the biggest barrier for people that want to be great in their jobs
- Will AI replace data scientists?

It feels like yesterday we wrapped 2023, and we are already at that time of the year again, with a 2024 warp-up! 2024 was a bit different than previous years, as we had only one themed series, and the rest of the episodes were a one-off, covering a variety of topics. And, early in the year, we also celebrated the 100th episode, in a live 2-hours show, that introduced many of the guest from the previous 3 years of podcasting.
In our themed series we covered Session Replay products. This seris was very informtive and can prove to be a valuable tool for product managers. We continued this year covering great books for product people, and several frameworks and mindsets. Some of our guests shared with us methods to craft our products’ story, naming our products, and what goes into making decisions. Product Coaching grew steadily this year and was the topic of several episodes. We learned what it takes to be a product professional to build IoT products, and we caught up on the state of Product Analytics products. And of course, we couldn’t ignore AI and GenAI and how they help us - or the potential they can have in helping us. Finally, we introduce a startup product that help product people in a unique way.
We would like to thank each and every guest that came on the show! On this episode, Matt and Moshe met with Tedde van Gelderen, President of Akendi, a premier UX agency specializing in creating holistic, end-to-end experiences that enhance their clients’ products and delight users. Tedde authored the book “Experience Thinking: Creating Connected Experiences”, in which he explains the importance of going beyond just product design or service design, and focusing on the holistic approach of experience design.
In his own words, “Experience Thinking" starts with the holistic experience customers and users have with an organisation over time, then guides the enabling technologies and content to create intentional experiences. Experience Thinking should become deeply rooted in an organisation's creation processes.”Join us as we explore with Tedde:

And some of us decided to become product managers because we have to make decisions…But how do we make decisions? And what are the right decisions to make?
Well… it depends…
In this episode we explored these questions with Phil Hornby, Founder and Product Leadership Coach at for product people, and Co-creator and Co-host of the Talking Roadmaps podcast. Phil is in the process of writing his book “It Depends?”, on how decisions are made, and more specifically, when building products, and by product professional.
We explored with Phil how he got to product management (accidently, like most of us), wheat does it mean to be a Product Coach, and how he is writing his book with the help of the community.Join Matt and Moshe as they explore with Phil:

Yes, using some frameworks that fit well in your situation can save us a lot of time by organizing our thoughts and allowing us to collaborate better. And before there were frameworks, there were mindsets.
In this episode we are talking about a couple of mindset that help product managers and anyone who is building products to align better with the chaotic nature of our work.
Our guest on the show is Assaph Mehr, a product and people leader. He is currently a Senior Product Manager of AI at Squiz, a Product Management Advisor & Mentor at My Mentor Path, a thought provoking blogger, and an author (or several ward-winning stories of Togas, Daggers, and Magic series - for lovers of Dark Urban-Fantasy Detectives and Ancient Rome!).

In the series we learned about PostHog from Vincent Pavero, FullStory from Mandar Karlekar, HotJar from John Fontenot, and LogRocket from Zach Phillips and Nikki Zavadska.
As we usually do in the summary episode, we looked back at our learning throughout the series, and sure there were many!
Reflecting back on past product serieses we had, some of the themes came back also in this one, such as choosing a product that goes deep into one area and does if very well, verses choosing a product that does many different things and has a wide array of features, all integrated with each other, but might not go as deep into some of them. It is interesting to see how companies have either started in Session Replay and added other capabilities over time, and others that started in other areas such as Product Analytics, and added Session Replay more lately.

We continue our Session Replay series with the next product, LogRocket. To learn all about it, we had the pleasure to speak with two guests - Zach Phillips, Senior Product Analyst, and Nikki Zavadska, Lead Product Manager Growth, both at Appfire.
Their perspectives were complimentary so we decide, why not? Let’s talk with both! Zach is essentially in the product operations area of Appfire, and his team helps implementing LogRocket for the other teams that build products. Nikki is a growth product manager working on one of these teams, so she has first hand experience with some interesting use cases.
As a company that build many apps that are sold on 3rd party app store, such as Atlassian and Salesforce, Appfire needed flexibility and control in their session replay platform that they were able to find with LogRocket.
It is always interesting for us to learn new use cases and have aha moments on the show, and this one came to us when Nikki shared an interesting case, where she couldn’t have find the cause for rage clicks without the usage of the session replay tool.
Join us as we explore LogRocket with Zack and Nikki:
Why they chose it over other products
* How long it takes to implement
* Use cases where they use session replay
* The benefits of using LogRocket compared with other product analytics tools
* How the engineers are using it too
* How it handles security and compliance
* Other features available in LogRocket and who uses them
* Features they love and those that could be improved
Using LogRocket to inform the direction of growth experiments
* How to justify to the business to get the product

To learn about it, we invited John Fontenot to return to the podcast. Last time we talked with John early on the podcast journey, on Episode 11, when we learned from him about Roadmunk, a Feedback & Roadmapping tool.
Today we cover HotJar, one of the first session replay products we experienced in our product career. John is using it at two of the companies he founded, Path 2 Product and Repo.John loves HotJar’s free plan, which gives him insights into how the users are using his products, how many users are using specific features, where people get stuck, or where the product might have usability bugs.

To learn about it, we invited Mandar Karlekar to return to the pod all the way from Australia. Last time we talked with Mandar in Episode 72, when we learned about Loom for async communication. Even back then we learned how much Mandar loves FullStory, so we were sure to invite him again to tell us all about it.
FullStory started as a Session Replay platform, with a unique functionality - creating insights from multiple sessions. To learn about it, we invited Vincent Pavero, Co-Founder, CEO at Homeric and Product Coach & Advisor at Vincent.pm. PostHog is the first open source product we are covering on the podcast, which is an interesting point in itself, and we wondered aloud on the show why there aren’t more open source products for product people.
PostHog is not just a Session Replay platform, as it also supports product analytics, surveys, feature flags, A/B testing and more! Vincent loves it for this reason, as he has replaced 7 tools that he used previously by PostHog!
We did focus our discussion on the show on Session Replay, and its strengths in PostHog. This includes the basic features: access and playback of user’s sessions, filter to find sessions, anonymous vs signed in users, skipping inactivity periods, overlay with features, heat map, rich-click detector, a band on the screen to show where they go lowest, sharing and exporting recordings, etc. Being geared mainly to product engineers, PostHog has additional features such as an inspector to see what happens in the browser (front end), and all the code that the browser is interacting with the back end.

Join us to the latest episode, where Matt and Moshe have met with Anat Eldar, Product Leadership Consultant, as she goes through her Net Adoption Threshold (NAT) framework.
Drawing from her extensive product management roles at companies such as Amdocs, Microsoft, AOL, Yahoo and Taboola, as well as from her teaching at the Reichman University, Anat had developed NAT to help product managers and organizations understand not only what the value they create, but also whether it is greater than the costs (both sunk and switching costs) and the current solution’s value.

This year we are changing a bit how we publish episodes about startups that build innovative products for product people. Instead of creating a series with several episodes in a row like we did in previous years, we are going to release one-of episodes, as we find and get to interview the founders of the startups.
The first Startup of 2024 is Lodestone. We have met with Dennis Chow, seasoned Product Executive, with rich experience in product management at major Canadian telecom companies Rogers and Telus, Sears, Pivotal Payments, Intuit, TouchBistro and more. An instructor at Product Faculty and advisor to startups, Dennis always looked for ways to help communicate complex product decisions into simple ways that are easily and transparently shared up and across the organization.
This was the first problem he set out to solve as founder and CEO of Lodestone, but his vision is much larger than that!
Join Matt and Moshe as we chat with Dennis and learn:
- His path to Product Management, working in chunks of 5 years (10K hours) to get great at what he does and move his career forward
- The vision of Lodestone, a Product Management toolkit that help PMs move faster and get more things done
- The sunburst roadmap, a visual roadmap tool that one one hand, helps connecting epics and stories with the strategy, and on the other hand, helps product managers tell a better story
- Other features such as feature repository, documentation generator with the help of AI - to help PMs start from something rather than a blank page
- The difference between roadmaps and release plans
- His vision for the next 5 years of Lodestone, including more value to product leaders and early stage startup founders
- How does Lodestone works with research and discovery data

Following his passion to build the right things, to write, and to share his knowledge with the world, David spent the last year writing and iterating on the book, in order to make it as accessible and as relatable to everyone out there struggling in their trapped product work.
We spent a bit of time learning what David was up to since the last time we talked on the show (Episode 27, Writing & Mind Mapping to improve PM skills). Other than being busy writing the book, David became the CEO of omoqo GmbH, where he started first in the CPO position, as well as co-founding the Agile Product Manifesto.

In the past it was limited to servers and communication devices, and to very specialized machinery like medical devices, transportation and such. With the advancements of reduced computing chip sizes and improved speed and powers, along with cloud computing, IoT (Internet of Things) has taken our life to an entirely different level with new smart devices that can help us anywhere we are. From home devices to control things at home and provide reports of power consumption, to smart cars, and whole smart cities. For most product managers that have worked only on software digital products, it is hard to imagine what are the added complexities created with the addition of hardware development to the mix.
On this episode we met with Ricardo Vidal, Head of Product at Poppy, a Canadian company building IoT devices that provide instant, accurate HVAC performance monitoring for any indoor space, used by commercial properties and corporations to save energy costs, decarbonize buildings and keep occupants healthy. With a background in bioengineering, and then developing software solutions for the scientific community, moving into IoT was a challenge Ricardo willingly took, and he learned so many lessons building the different generations of Poppy.

In recent year, Henry have identified a trend in the Product Management world, where many product people shows dissatisfaction with their career, moving from one company to the next, trying to find the best culture to work at and create impact in the world, only to be discouraged by organizational culture that didn’t empower them and the rest of the team to build meaningfully.
This is when he decided to pivot his focus into helping the product management community to create their own destiny, by helping aspiring self-employed individuals, who mainly come from the product management world (but not limited to them), to build their own micro-business from 0 to 1st sale in 48 hours.

In this episode, Matt and Moshe are hosting Dave, Outcome Leadership Coach at Right to Left, veteran product leader and fractional CPO, who co-authored the book “The Product Momentum Gap: Bringing together product strategy and customer value” with our past guest Andrea Saez (episode 22), to talk about this problem, and a framework he developed to overcome it.
There are many reasons why companies fall into the Product Momentum Gap. It can be due to confirmation biases, collective bias (following the loudest person in the room), product strategy that doesn’t commit to a specific solution, amongst other reasons.Identifying the problem is the first step in moving forward to fix it. Then, using the Product VCP (Value Creation Plan) framework, developed by Dave, companies can align their strategy to an actionable plan that will eventually change users’ behavior.

In this episode, Matt and Moshe met Oz Nazilli, Founder of PMF (Product Market Fit) Studio - a Toronto based studio that specializes in product strategy, discovery, and growth - to share with us his favorite framework - Forces of Change.
This is a simple framework, yet very powerful and suitable for different organization sizes, in different stages they are at. The idea behind it is for us to make sure we build something people want, and it was first introduced by Bob Moesta and Chris Spiek, who were heavily involved in the Jobs to be Done movement.
The framework can be found also as Forces of Progress, or The Progress Making Forces.Listen to the episode to learn more about:How Oz got into product management and building his own agency that help organizations of all size find their Product Market FitHow do we define Product Market Fit?What Forces of Change framework is all about: Where is it best fitted? To help us with this transformation, we can use several product growth frameworks.
In this episode, we speak with Yelena Liman, CEO and Founder of EmPro Consulting, who specializes in helping SaaS product executives challenged with underperforming products to identify and address root causes to improve business results. Yelena has a rich product management background, from organizations such as Intel and Amazon, where she contributed to several product growth initiatives.
On the show, Yelena helped us first understand what Product Growth is all about, how we can tell that our organization is already there, and then, which framework to use, picking from AARRR, RICE and HEART.Come and learn with us as we covered the following:
How do businesses navigate the complexities of driving product growth in today's rapidly evolving market landscapeWhat are the three metrics: AARRR, RICE, and HEART?Which companies can utilize each of them? What is each of them used for?How to solve biases in RICE?The importance of stakeholders involvement What is the context that we should use these models in?How do we know we are there, working on the right growth metrics and growing? How to collect data and analyze it to understand our growth and whether what we do is working? And so much more! You can connect with Yelena at:https://www.linkedin.com/in/yelenaliman/EmPro Consulting: https://www.emproconsulting.ca/ You can find the podcast’s page, and connect with Matt and Moshe on Linkedin: Product for Product Podcast- https://www.linkedin.com/company/product-for-product-podcastMatt Green -https://www.linkedin.com/in/mattgreenanalytics/Moshe Mikanovsky: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikanovsky/Note: any views mentioned in the podcast are the sole views of our hosts and guests, and do not represent the products mentioned in any way. Please leave us a review and feedback ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Wed, 03 Apr 2024 - 103 - EP 102 - Gen AI Product Vision Video with Eva Gao
Generative AI is everywhere, and we all see the impact it creates on our life, no matter what we do. Product Management is no exception. In this episode we met with Eva Gao, Senior Product Manager at Quentic AMCS, who caught our attention when she published a post about how she built a Product Vision video using GenAI tools.
What is needed to produce such a videoSome of the tools existing these days to help with the production of the videoChallenges with some of the tools and technologyWhat level of license do we need to use these toolsUnderstanding how to “talk” with the GenAI tools - prompt engineering How did she communicated the message with her stakeholdersHow do we measure the success of the video and it’s messageAnd so much more!Tools that Eva used to create the Product Vision video:
A Product Vision video is one of the best ways to convey to the entire team why we are embarking on the sometimes challenging endeavor of building new products. Done right, it can rally and inspire everyone in our organization to the same direction and goals.
When Eva managed a new product generation at Quintic, helping clients in risk management and mitigation of occupational hazards, she was facing challenges from internal stakeholders, who wanted to migrate their clients from the legacy system, but faced resistance from clients who didn’t want to make the move. This was impacting the organization as a whole, and this drove Eva into trying to effectively explain to all internal stakeholders the importance of upgrading the clients sooner than later, but she didn’t want to make it a memo or a dry presentation! Instead, Eva came up with the idea to create a funny video, using story telling and analogs from cultural references that people at the organization were already familiar with. Without a technical know-how in video production, and a very limited budget, Eva decided to utilize GenAI tools!
Join us as Eva chats with Matt and Moshe, describing in detail the steps she took to build the Product Vision video. In the episode you will learn:

Marty wrote the book with his partners at the Silicon Valley Product Group - Lea Hickman, Christian Idiodi, Chris Jones and Jon Moore, and it was highly anticipated by the entire Product community around the world.
Following his books INSPIRED (where Marty lays down the foundations on how to build product the right way) and EMPOWERED (which aims to the leaders of product teams, helping them become empowered teams that solve real problems for client, and achieve outcomes to the organization), the new book is about the transformation of the entire organization from Feature Factories to Empowered Team, or, as it coined in the new book, moving to the Product Operating Model. This is the missing piece that many of us in the product world were waiting for! Following Marty’s and SVPG’s work, we have known for years what successful product companies are doing, and why being a feature factory is counter productive to solving real problems. But the world out there is still mostly dominated by organizations doing it all wrong.
We hope that TRANSFORMED will not just be a bestseller, but will make real transformation in the world, to help companies move to the Product Operating Model, and create amazing products that solve real problems, and create value to their organization.Join us as Matt and Moshe discuss this with Marty:Where did the name “Product Operating Model” come from?Who is the book for? It is not just for product people! On the contrary, it is extremely important that the CEO and the executives are part of - and leading - the transformationAddressing the question “Is it possible to change?” The book includes techniques that are not just about product management but transformational techniquesHow do individual contributors from the product team can impact and help the transformation Misalignments created by the language we are using, starting from defining what we do, and how different people in the organization are using different words, that must be understood and alignedThe importance of empathy to stakeholders, and how product managers should understand deeply what other areas of the business do, to create the internal confidence that we know what we are doingThe role of Product Coaches in helping executives and organization successfully transform The relevancy of the Product Operating Model around the world, demonstrated by the examples and case studies in the bookTips for product people in organizations that don’t yet see the need to change, on how they can control their destiny, what they can learn and do to move forwardAnd so much more! You can connect with Marty at:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/cagan/ Silicon Valley Product Group: http://www.svpg.com/ SVPG blog: https://www.svpg.com/articles/ TRANSFORMED: Moving to the Product Operating Model https://www.amazon.com/Transformed-Becoming-Product-Driven-Company-Silicon/dp/1119697336The books, INSPIRED, EMPOWERED and TRANSFORMED: https://www.svpg.com/books/ You can find the podcast’s page, and connect with Matt and Moshe on Linkedin:Tue, 12 Mar 2024 - 101 - EP 100 - Live Celebration with Matt, Moshe, and GuestWhat a ride this has been! Bringing his vast experience from decades helping software companies and enterprises with IT departments go through organizational transformation, Gil developed a unique point of view and method to assess a company's fitness, and move incrementally to their best possible fitness as an organization producing real results with their digital product development.
Gil’s method’s core strength, and the way it is presented in the book, is for companies that are building complex technical products, so it fits nicely with what we do as Product Managers in the digital world.
Utilizing system thinking for everyone involved in creating the product, Gil identifies 6 fitness aspects to measure our team/system. Then, with the team, we score the overall level of fitness (based on a very simple scoring system for each fitness aspect). Once we have our score (and we have to be honest about where we are!), we fit into a level on a scale of 5 levels. The move up the ladder from each level to the next is sequential, applying strategies that Gil explains in detail in the book.
Join us as we discuss Gil’s process on the show. In the episode you will also learn:

Joining Matt and Moshe, our guest is Orly Zeewy, Founder, Author and Speaker. Orly’s main passion in everything she does is to take companies’ messaging from fuzzy to clear, so they can attract more ideal clients and grow their business. And what is more concise in making things clear than the name of the company and products?
This focus and love for good names shines in every discussion with Orly. She is a well of knowledge, sharing with us many examples of names that work vs some that don’t. The importance of a great name is usually understated. There is a myth out there that the name doesn’t really matter. But is that correct?
Exploring it on the episode, Orly shared her opinion, as well the method she is using with her clients to come up with good names.

We are starting the year with some exciting guests that we have recently met through many different networking events (both online and offline) and we thought their unique point of views can give you so much value!
Our first one is Tovit Neizer. Tovit is a business storyteller, owner and chief storyteller at Yellow Bricks. But she is so much more than that - she is an author, her career had multiple entrepreneurship with startups she founded, and she actually started in journalism. Her career has led her in an interesting, sometimes winding path to where she is these days - helping startups and other businesses understand and carve their story, so they can convey it better to the world.
As product managers, we know how important it is to be storytellers, so that we can connect with our audience - whether it is our clients and users, or our stakeholders - in a deeper, more meaningful, way. But we don’t always have the right tools to convey these stories. That’s where Tovit comes into the picture, and that’s what we talked with her in this episode.
Using a very simple tool (and once you listen to the episode you will also see the pan there), our imagination can open up towards describing our products, and place them in a story that can then excite everyone!
So come in and listen to our episode, where you can also learn:The power of listening and waitingHow journalism can help product managers! Some of the parallels between how journalists work and the product management workHow to write your product story? We are wrapping up 2023, an exciting, filled with learning, both professionally and personally for both of us!So we decided, in the spirit of so many others these days, to have a wrap-up episode and talk about so many things we covered on the podcast!
We had 30 episodes, 25 guests from 4 continents. We covered 15 products in 3 themed serieses - async communication tools, user testing tools, and new tools built by young startups. We also started this year covering books for Product people, talking with 4 authors on anything from a 10 year best seller to a newly released book. We covered hot topics like the sunsetting of Google Optimize, the rise of Product Ops and design systems, and of course, we couldn’t stay away from AI and GenAI. We also learned some important concepts to help us build our career, from building a Product Culture, pricing SaaS products, assessing our competency as individual product people, and building a product team scorecard to assess the team’s success.

Itamar Gilad is a product coach, keynote speaker and now the author of the bestseller Evidence Guided: Creating High Impact Products in the Face of Uncertainty.
For two decades, he held senior product management and engineering roles at Google, Microsoft, and a number of startups. Itamar is the creator of the GIST (Goals, Ideas, Steps and Tasks) model, the Confidence Meter, and other widely-used frameworks and tools. He is a regular speaker at industry events, and he publishes a popular product management newsletter - High Impact Product Management.
Like many other thought leaders in our industry, Gilad learned the hard way what works and what not. Working at Google on Gmail, and taking part in integrating Gmail with G+ (remember that one?). While there, he came up with the idea to split the inbox into different lists of incoming emails based on the user’s interest. The idea was great, but implementing it the right way took many many efforts, all while seeing what happens with G+ adoption. Throughout this experience, Gilad deeply understood how not to go by to develop new products, and developed his GIST model.

We enjoyed in the past talking with startup founders about the products they are building, so we have collected for you some new tools that are helping Product Managers in new ways!
In this episode, Matt and Moshe are joined by George Whitfield, Co-Founder and CEO of FindOurView, as well as Entrepreneur in Residence at the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship and Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
FindOurView is a generative AI product that helps product managers in the discovery process, analyzing and providing proof for hypotheses based on user interviews. It solves the problem of many product people who have the raw data of those interviews, but need to sift through them, read and reread them, and spend hours to find what the data says about a specific question in hand.
We had a fascinating discussion with George about the future of product research. Amongst other things we talked about:
What FindOurView is and how they got to build itHow they pivoted from feedback collection to an AI assistant that helps product researches with their JTBDHow to use FindOurViewHow ChatGPT opened the floodgates to this type of solutions but what’s the risks of users trusting AI blindlyThe importance of recognizing our biases when doing researchHow many research points do we need, and can AI help us nail it down betterA product recommendation from their stackAnd much more! You can connect with George at:

Although many of us product people have UX and UI designers on our teams, it is not a bad idea to know how to use some of the tools used for designing our products, especially in the wireframing phase, when the design are low-fidelity, and we need to figure out what the best way to contain data on the screens, and the most efficient way for users to use the system.
In the series, we covered Figma, Miro, Lucidchart and Balsamiq. In this episode Matt and Moshe met again to summarize what they learned.
Some of the discussion points include:
Low fidelity vs. high fidelity, and how the tool we choose can influence the steps we take in the design
The importance of not skipping the low fidelity, wireframing step, and why jumping right away to high fidelity can be a problem to the users
One tool that does it all vs. specialized tools for each step
Collaboration with the help of the tool
And more!
