    With a voice as sweet as the nightingale she has sung more than 100 songs in 92 films.
    Recipient of the coveted Filmfare award for the best female playback singer for the folk inspired song Sohni Chenab De Kinare from the Indian movie Sohni Mahiwal.
    She has also received numerous accolades including the Best Female Playback singer from the government of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
    And the esteemed Uttam Kumar Award from the governor of West Bengal.
