Live, Laugh, Larceny is true crime for people who think most true crime is a little too murdery. Every Wednesday, hosts Amanda Rose and Trevin Bartee share real stories of ridiculous, low-stakes crimes — from dumb criminals and pett revenge to absurd real-life chaos — told with dramatic seriousness and comedy-first energy. No murders. Just bad decisions. Take a break from the heavy and get petty.
- 312 - EP 260: Let's Get Personal
Content Warning: Pet Loss A lot has happened over the last two weeks. Trevin and Amanda have both experienced heartbreaking losses in their families, so this week, Live, Laugh, Larceny is doing things a little differently. We're getting personal. Trevin opens up about the sudden loss of his Siamese cat, Freddy. After a catastrophic illness led to rapid kidney failure, Trevin faced the difficult decision to say goodbye to his seven-year-old best friend. He shares what happened and reflects on the life of a very loved member of the family. Amanda follows with the loss of her two elderly collies, Reptar and Yoshi. She looks back on their beautiful lives, the companionship they gave her family, and the early days of her relationship when she and her partner decided to adopt Reptar. Then, each host revisits a personal story from the show's past. Trevin tells “The Villain,” the story of a realtor who rushed him out of his home after Trevin formed a band called Perpetual Eviction and spent a day preparing to play the open house. Amanda brings us back to 2021 with “Highway Ass Magnet,” her unforgettable account of being mooned by three people on a small Missouri highway in the middle of nowhere. As the two reflect on the first year of the show and share some behind-the-scenes stories, this episode is a reminder that comedy can still be honest, human, and full of heart—even during a heavy week. Wed, 28 Oct 2026 - 310 - EP 259: Government vs. Sandwich: A Serious Trial
Calling all courtroom drama enthusiasts! We've got what may be the trial of 2025 on our hands. It's petty, it's political, and it may leave you hungry. Welcome to the Sandwich Trial of Sean Dunn, where a Subway sandwich became the centerpiece of a federal criminal case. But first, Trevin has been hanging around local open mics and is feeling closer than ever to trying stand-up comedy for the first time. Meanwhile, Amanda has a pet dilemma: her geriatric dog, Reptar, keeps lying under the porch and making everyone think he's missing. He's not lost. He's just committed to the bit. For Crime Quickies, Amanda brings us two crimes with very different flavors. First, Abdul Rasheed allegedly fakes a medical emergency to skip out on a Red Lobster bill, proving that some people will do anything to avoid paying for seafood. Then we travel back to 1959 California, where dentist Dr. William Shyne reportedly hands out heart-shaped laxatives to children for Halloween. Nothing says spooky season quite like a dentist with questionable judgment. Then it's time for the main event: the Government vs. Sandwich trial. Trevin breaks down the case of Sean Dunn, a Department of Justice employee arrested after allegedly assaulting a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent with a Subway sandwich. Now he's facing a misdemeanor charge, and the question is whether this case can stand up in court—or whether the whole thing is a giant nothingburger. For trivia, Trevin digs into the history of the sandwich, including its origins in Sandwich, Kent, England, and the Earl of Sandwich whose favorite pastime supposedly inspired one of the world's most convenient meals. Finally, Amanda takes us into the dark history of Julius Caesar's assassination. What became of the original site where Caesar was murdered? The answer is weird enough to deserve its own dramatic reenactment. Grab a sandwich, question authority, and get petty with Live, Laugh, Larceny. Court is now in session. Wed, 21 Oct 2026 - 309 - EP 258: Shit Happens (Feat. Who Shat on the Floor at My Wedding)
If you ever thought Live, Laugh, Larceny needed more poop talk and toilet humor, your prayers have been answered. We're teaming up with the hosts of Who Shat on the Floor at My Wedding? and When the Cops Say No, We Say Yes! for a crossover so shitty, it had to happen. Karen Whitehouse and Lead Detective Lauren Kilby join us to discuss their lives as fecal muses, a bizarre case of “reverse theft” involving mayonnaise, and all things poop. Because, there are still corners of the crime world we haven't flushed out. Before the game begins, Trevin commits to a Salt-N-Pepa reference at work and immediately regrets it, Amanda questions whether car maintenance counts as a romantic anniversary gift, and someone has stolen Karen's beans. We have questions. Mostly about the beans. Then it's time for SHIT HAPPENS! Our original poop-themed game pits Karen and Lauren against each other in eight rounds of the most absurd viral poop stories imaginable. From the infamous New York Poop Train and a toilet mishap in space to human waste spilled across a highway while the driver keeps going, two Finnish women pooping their pants ON PURPOSE, and a little bit of revenge that proves you can't talk crap without getting some in return, this game has it all. Join Live, Laugh, Larceny and our favorite fecal muses for the shittiest game ever played. Who will claim the turd title? Who will crack under pressure? And how did we end up talking about poop for this long? Well, shit happens. Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 14 Oct 2026 - 308 - EP 257: Miss Fortune & The Petty Pageant
Beauty is only skin-deep, but the pettiness is on full display in this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny, featuring the bizarre blackmail scandal surrounding the 2007 Miss New Jersey pageant. But first, Trevin takes a staycation to recharge and discovers his car battery has decided it can no longer hold a charge. With car trouble in the air, Amanda faces a chiropractic dilemma of her own. She needs to see a chiropractor and has consequently fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole of chiropractic videos, including the deeply strange world of horse chiropractors. For Crime Bites, Trevin brings us a bizarre two-part saga from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Christopher Michael Peden cuts off his own penis, douses it in gasoline, and sets it on fire in his mother's garage. Somehow, that isn't the end of the story. A few months later, his brother James Peden sets Christopher's car on fire. These brothers have a fascinating definition of family bonding. Then Amanda takes us back to the 2007 Miss New Jersey pageant and its winner, Amy Polumbo. What starts as the glamorous dream of becoming a beauty queen turns into a blackmail scandal involving supposedly "racy" photographs, the loss of her crown, and a mysterious group calling itself the Committee to Save Miss America. But who were they, and what exactly did they want from Miss New Jersey? For Two Truths and a Lie, Amanda introduces three of the strangest pageants imaginable: the Miss Mosquito Legs Pageant, the Armpit Queen Pageant, and Miss Yellow Teeth. They all sound completely made up. Unfortunately, reality has once again out-weirded us. And Trevin closes things out with his own Two Truths and a Lie about nudity, covering YMCA dress codes for boys, Ivy League posture photos, and Queen's iconic "Bicycle Race." Prepare your acceptance speech. You just found your new favorite episode. Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 07 Oct 2026 - 307 - EP 256: Grifting for Greatness
Holler, baller! The NFL season is back, and so is another football-themed episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny. This week, we try something new: one fewer story, but two extra crimes. Trevin arrives late to recording after a nightmare scenario involving the Twin Peaks waitress assigned to his fantasy football draft. Meanwhile, Amanda's grandma has discovered the Live, Laugh, Larceny Instagram Reels and apparently believes her granddaughter is the cackling woman who hosts the show. In Crime Articles, Amanda digs into a viral pizza scam where employees allegedly cut thin slices from the middle of pizzas for themselves before boxing up the rest for customers. Then we get into the bizarre world of Laura Owens, whose alleged fake pregnancies, love contracts, and elaborate scams are explored in the investigative podcast Love Trapped. For the main story, Trevin tells the incredible tale of Luther Davis (with partner CJ Evins), a former Crimson Tide college football champion with his sights set on greatness. But when his friends start getting drafted into the NFL, his quest for millions takes a decidedly unconventional turn involving wigs, makeup, impersonation, and a scammer's mentality. Killer Facts keeps us on the football field with a look at NFL players and bankruptcy, including how quickly professional football fortunes can disappear and the absurd financial stories of Vince Young, Mark Brunell, and Dan Marino. And Amanda closes things out with the Midwest's loudest little freaks: cicadas. Learn why they make those deafening sounds, what they're doing while they're making them, and how their minds may be manipulated into making love. It's football season. It's scam season. It's also wig season. Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 30 Sep 2026 - 306 - PETTY REWIND - When You Wish Upon a Grudge
As Trevin takes the week off to remember Mabel, we are kicking it back to this gem about revenge, vandalism, and a lot of petty fun. Be back next week with a new story! Blow out those birthday candles, pluck an eyelash, and toss a coin into the fountain. We're wishing for some sweet, petty revenge! This week on Live, Laugh, Larceny, Trevin mourns the loss of his smartwatch, a device he painstakingly trained himself to use, while Amanda confronts a husband whose odor may qualify as a public health emergency. We explore the strangest hotel requests of the year, from bathtubs filled with Evian water to caviar hotdogs, and take a look at the world's most dangerous tightrope walks, featuring Karl Wallenda, Nik Wallenda, the Grand Canyon, and a volcano. For the stories, Amanda presents another one of her Amanda's Unsolved Mysteries, investigating the bizarre history of the Boy with the Leaking Boot in Wallingford, Vermont, where years of vandalism and property damage leave a town wondering what exactly is going on. Then Trevin heads to Chongqing, China, for the story of a woman who turned a Louis Vuitton shopping trip into an elaborate act of revenge. After feeling slighted by store employees, she paid for a luxury handbag entirely in cash, forcing the staff to count her money for two hours before changing her mind. It's Pretty Woman meets pettiness in Petty Woman. Two stories. Zero arrests. Absolutely no shortage of drama. Today's Stories: Boy with the Leaking Boot Petty Woman Topics include: smartwatch etiquette, warranty returns, industrial water waste, washing in coffee grounds, bad smells, Hotels.com, unusual hotel requests, Evian water, bananas, caviar hotdogs, Karl Wallenda, Nik Wallenda, dangerous tightrope walks, the Grand Canyon, volcanoes, Wallingford Vermont, vandalism, making wishes, Louis Vuitton, Chongqing China, Starlight Place Shopping Centre, Pretty Woman, Julia Roberts, Rodeo Drive, Gucci, luxury shopping, and petty revenge. Wed, 23 Sep 2026 - 305 - EP 255: Meat Cute at Mount Rushmore
Get ready for your fill in this monumental and meaty episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny! We’ve got Mount Rushmore, weird lost-and-found items, Halloween candy, and a Florida man stealing steaks for love. This week, Trevin discovers a new Halloween candy that may finally dethrone candy corn: Nerds Corn. Amanda is missing her parents while they take the trip of a lifetime through the Grand Tetons, Mount Rushmore, and the American West. For Top 5, Amanda explores Mount Rushmore facts, including the original plans for the monument, the president whose head was supposed to move, and the mysterious Hall of Records hidden inside Abraham Lincoln’s head. Trevin digs into Uber’s list of the 50 strangest lost-and-found items left in Uber vehicles, featuring everything from trees and rhinestone Jesus artwork to prosthetic eyes. Apparently, some people leave considerably more behind than a phone. For Storytime, Amanda heads to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, where Nebraska mother Alexandria Incontro makes headlines after climbing the national monument barefoot during a family road trip. Then Trevin takes us to Florida, where Heannys O. Alvarez Reyna allegedly steals sirloin, tenderloin, and other expensive cuts of meat from Publix. His motivation? Impressing the woman he was cooking for. Nothing says romance quite like allegedly turning a grocery store into your personal butcher shop. Two stories, one American monument, and enough beef to feed a national park. Come get petty with Live, Laugh, Larceny! Wed, 16 Sep 2026 - 304 - PETTY REWIND - Listener Stories Vol. 2
It's Labor Day week and we are rewinding it back to our second listener stories episode: EP 159: Now That's What I Call Listener Stories Vol. 2 Ring the bell and tell your friends. We’ve got another ALL-LISTENER-STORIES episode! And since we’re taking a trip back through the Live, Laugh, Larceny archives, we’re bringing back one of our favorite collections of bizarre true crime stories, petty crimes, ridiculous criminals, and listener-submitted crimes. But before we hear from our awesome listeners, we gotta do the show stuff. This week, Trevin encounters a cursed Chipotle salad that he leaves sitting on his desk for an entire weekend, while Amanda discovers that bringing Jell-O to a kid’s birthday party does NOT mean people are getting Jell-O shots. Top 5 takes a closer look at the polygraph and lie detector test, including its bizarre history and some of the earliest attempts at figuring out whether someone was lying. Then Trevin counts down five of the most common—and most ridiculous—causes of selfie-related deaths, from guns and electrocution to driving, drowning, and falling. Then, we get to the main event: three petty, bizarre, and completely listener-submitted stories. Amanda tells the story of a disgruntled bakery employee who destroys cakes before quitting, including one cake that just happens to have been ordered by one of our own listeners. Trevin investigates the mystery of a person who wiped their butt on a towel at a party, giving one listener the chance to play detective and figure out who committed the truly shitty crime. And, of course, we’ve got another round of funny true crime, petty criminals, strange crimes, and the weirdest stories our listeners could dig up. Wed, 09 Sep 2026 - 303 - EP 254: Crime Academy Flashcards (Feat. The Slippery)
We’re bringing in the professionals. Nancy Moscatiello and Scott Eldridge, veteran true crime television producers and hosts of The Slippery and Scamanda, join Live, Laugh, Larceny for a deep dive into the wild world of ’90s crime television, scams, investigations, and the stories that happened behind the scenes. We skip the Dreadful Dilemmas and get straight into their careers working on iconic crime and reality television shows including Crime Watch Daily, Hard Copy, Real TV, and America’s Most Wanted. First, Trevin puts their investigative memories to the test with Crime Academy Flashcards, an original game inspired by preschool flashcards. Each object or location sends Nancy and Scott into their archives, recalling bizarre investigations and revealing how crime television actually got made. A flashcard about a restaurant brings up the infamous Sunset Boulevard Denny’s brawl and the hunt for restaurant surveillance footage. A question about disguises leads to stories about the techniques early news investigators used to get access and information. A Chicago diner sparks memories of Mari Yang during the investigation into the murder of Chicago Bears safety Shaun Gale. Then the conversation gets stranger. A Patreon suggestion involving Ouija boards leads to the psychic scam known as the “Immaculate Deception,” while a flashcard about phones opens the door to wiretapping, the Andonian Brothers, and a California cartel known as The Mine. We also explore the history of Hard Copy and the evolution of “caught on tape” television, including how early reality news programs helped create the found-footage and true-crime television formats that dominated the ’90s. Even Entertainment Tonight gets pulled into the story of how the genre evolved. Other cases include Jose Lantigua, a Florida furniture store owner who faked his own death and claimed to have Mad Cow Disease, and the infamous Wendy’s finger-in-the-chili scandal involving Anna Ayala of San Jose. Nancy and Scott share behind-the-scenes knowledge about the case—including the strange petty crime committed after the original scandal. And because no episode featuring The Slippery would be complete without talking about scams, Amanda goes one-on-one with Nancy and Scott for her burning questions about Scamanda. We dig into Amanda Riley, the California blogger who falsely claimed to have Stage 3 Hodgkin lymphoma and collected more than $100,000 in fraudulent donations, as Nancy and Scott offer their perspective on the case, the deception, and the hit true-crime series Scamanda. It’s ’90s crime TV, investigative journalism, scams, fraud, famous cases, behind-the-scenes television stories, and one very strange deck of flashcards. Take a break from the heavy and get petty! Wed, 02 Sep 2026 - 302 - EP 253: Amanda Discovers Scat
Things have been busy in the Live, Laugh, Larceny world, so this week we're taking a break from traditional petty crime for a day of bizarre Animals in the News. First, Trevin has a dog dilemma after his freshly groomed pups reveal their freshly groomed butts—and somehow, the sight is so adorable it brings him to tears. Amanda takes her daughters to see the newest Paw Patrol movie, only to discover that a broken theater AC can make a children's movie feel like a survival challenge. Then it's time for Animals in the News: no sound effects, no elaborate reenactments—just bizarre headlines about animals getting into trouble, causing chaos, and occasionally committing what can only be described as petty crimes. A black bear breaks into a shopping mall on a military base in Alaska, steals some fruit, and leaves behind a very memorable calling card. Another bear discovers an unexpected interest in golf clubs in British Columbia. A dog in Scotland needs rescuing after consuming marijuana while hiking near Ben Nevis, while an Australian beagle eats 11 kilograms of gummy snakes. A tourist in Hawaii faces consequences after allegedly throwing a rock at a monk seal, while therapy ferrets are deployed at one of the UK's largest children's prisons to help deal with a rat problem. And in Arizona, bright-blue pigeons used for a gender reveal spark concerns from wildlife officials. It's animals, crime, weird headlines, and a whole lot of scat. Wed, 26 Aug 2026 - 301 - EP 252: Stinky, Stinky Bang Bang
Hold your nose for this one, because things are about to get explosive. This week, Trevin falls down a nostalgia rabbit hole after discovering the functional reboot of Slice soda, while Amanda faces every parent's favorite annual tradition: back-to-school shopping. Between the madness and the prices, she may never financially recover. For a special round of Would You Rather, Trevin brings us the incredible story of David Cifaldi, a 32-year-old nurse who impaled himself with a trekking pole and then hiked ten miles to avoid being airlifted. The question: would you rather pay the medical bill or make the ten-mile hike? Amanda brings us two spectacular QVC fails, inspired by the recent viral wig-selling mishap involving Toni Brattin. Would you rather say something catastrophically wrong on live television—or suffer a physical mishap that makes you an internet sensation? Then things get seriously gross. Trevin tells the bizarre story of Mark Mortimer of Lydbrook, England, whose disastrous night involves breaking and entering, a bomb, an explosive bowel movement, and a sandwich that definitely did not deserve what happened to it at the Lydbrook & District Community Social Club. Amanda brings us the strange workplace bullying lawsuit of David Hingst, who sued his former employer Greg Short of Construction Engineering for $1.8 million, claiming years of relentless farting and workplace harassment caused him severe psychological distress. Can a workplace fart lawsuit actually find justice—or is the whole thing destined to become the butt of a joke? With Stinky, explosions, bodily functions, QVC disasters, and enough toilet humor to make you question your life choices, this one is not for the faint of nose. Thu, 20 Aug 2026 - 300 - EP 251: On the Last Leg of Ladies’ Night
It’s Ladies’ Night, and the women are taking over—with bizarre misunderstandings, strange crimes, and a little vigilante justice. This week, Trevin finally asks his doctor about a problem he’s had for twenty years and walks away with the most metal injury imaginable: calcified scar tissue. Amanda’s fish tank continues to multiply, as separating the boys too late leaves her with an entire school of baby fish. For Two Truths and a Lie, Amanda takes Trevin on a nostalgic trip through Are You Afraid of the Dark?, giving him three episode summaries and asking him to identify the completely fabricated nightmare. Trevin fights back with bizarre facts about children’s music, including Yo Gabba Gabba, The Wiggles, and a very unexpected metal band of dinosaurs. Because apparently children’s entertainment has always been a little weird. For storytime, Amanda takes us to Otisville, New York, where Danielle Rodriguez and her mother encounter a bizarre traffic stop involving suspicious legs in a car, a possible kidnapping, and a hilarious misunderstanding that gets caught on a Ring camera. Then Trevin takes us all the way to Christchurch, New Zealand, where three women living abroad—Sarah Campbell, Anna Campbell, and Charlotte Walker—return home to discover they've been victims of a burglary. With passports, electronics, jewelry, medication, clothing, and other belongings stolen, the women aren't exactly thrilled with the police response. When they spot a mysterious shopping cart and begin tracking down their stolen property themselves, Ladies’ Night turns into a real-life hunt for the burglars. Two stories, two very different misunderstandings, and plenty of women proving that sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. Take a break from the heavy and get petty! Things escalate quickly in this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny—from elevator disasters and animal facts to insurance fraud, public pooping, and one of the most disturbing petty crime stories we've ever covered. Trevin shows off his new Puma sneakers inspired by the Sony Walkman, proving once again that he'll buy just about anything with a nostalgic gimmick. Amanda vents about her parents disappearing for 24 hours while on an Alaskan cruise, leading to a discussion about family communication and vacation etiquette. Then Amanda challenges Trevin with Two Truths and a Lie featuring deadly elevator statistics, the record-breaking elevators inside Shanghai Tower, and the surprising origins of classic elevator music. Trevin follows with bizarre animal facts about George the heroic Jack Russell Terrier, how raccoons unexpectedly spread through Europe, and whether salmon can actually hear. For Storytime, Amanda heads to Fort Pierce, Florida, where 49-year-old Patricia Ann Jamison attempts to avoid an outstanding warrant by pooping inside the St. Lucie County Courthouse elevator during a one-story ride. Then Trevin delivers one of the podcast's most graphic stories (listener discretion advised) about a Willow Springs, Missouri man who carried out a horrifying insurance fraud scheme involving a Brush Hog and the amputation of his own feet. If you enjoy Florida Woman stories, weird true crime, insurance scams, bizarre news, dark comedy, ridiculous criminals, and petty crime podcasts, this episode takes things to another level. Discussions include: Sony Walkman, Puma, novelty collectibles, shoes, online shopping, returning packages, the post office, mail anxiety, Alaskan cruises, parents on vacation, family communication, elevators, elevator deaths, Shanghai Tower, Muzak, Two Truths and a Lie, George the Jack Russell Terrier, raccoons in Europe, salmon, animal facts, Patricia Ann Jamison, Fort Pierce, Florida, St. Lucie County Courthouse, outstanding warrants, public defecation, Florida Woman, insurance fraud, Brush Hog, Willow Springs, Missouri, farming accidents, noir detective stories, dismemberment, and Fueled by Trash Pizza. Wed, 05 Aug 2026 - 298 - EP 250: My Childhood Was a Fever Dream (Feat. That's Pretty Dark)
It's our 250th episode, and we're celebrating with one of our biggest nostalgia trips yet. Joined by Kalyn and Christian of That's Pretty Dark, we dive headfirst into the weird, hilarious, and occasionally disturbing pop culture that shaped every millennial childhood. Before the game, Trevin debates whether his dogs have declared war on his porch by refusing to poop anywhere else. Amanda returns from Florida after Gatorland finds creative new ways to upsell souvenir photos. Christian shares his own wildlife dilemma as an Alabama black bear keeps terrorizing his home. Kalyn learns the difference between cuticle scissors and clippers. Then it's time for My Childhood Was a Fever Dream, an original trivia game packed with bizarre facts from the '80s and '90s... except one of them is completely made up. Learn the surprising truths behind NASA using Taco Bell tortillas in space, the real meaning of POGs, the scandalous lyrics of the Macarena, AOL's infamous free trial CD campaign, Michael Jackson's reported attempt to buy Marvel, why AT&T accidentally advertised for 1-800-COLLECT, Princess Diana's planned role in The Bodyguard 2, and the voice actress behind The Offspring's "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)." Wed, 29 Jul 2026 - 297 - EP 249: The Petty Crime Starter Pack
Nearly 250 episodes in, we've realized something: New listeners might not be making it to the stories. So this week, we're doing something different. If you've ever wondered what Live, Laugh, Larceny is all about—or you've been looking for the perfect episode to share with a friend—this is it. Trevin's Dreadful Dilemma sparks a complete format flip, as the crew creates a starter pack for new listeners and revisits some of the funniest, weirdest, and most unforgettable petty crimes we've covered over the years. Within the first few minutes, we revisit one of our favorite stories: Madonna's lawsuit over an allegedly lewd concert performance, complete with memories of Trevin's parody song, Knockers. Then it's time for the Top 5 Live, Laugh, Larceny Crimes We Can't Stop Thinking About, featuring: 🐾 Joseph Stroud, the Arkansas man who decorated a rival's grave with dead animals 🚌 Jinhuan Chen, the bus driver who accidentally consumed edibles while working 🛗 Patricia Ann Jamison and one of the most infamous elevator incidents we've ever covered 🏺 Mitchell Vest, whose unusual relationship with antiques took him to some very unexpected places …and one more all-time favorite crime from the archives. Then we jump into a recent case featuring Jalen Godard, whose attempt to rob a Verizon store goes sideways when his own truck is stolen during the crime. Finally, Amanda brings a brand-new story from Wetumpka, Alabama, where Beverly Roberts and Mary Alston find themselves at odds with local officials after helping stray cats through a trap-neuter-release program. Whether you're a longtime listener or discovering us for the first time, this episode is a crash course in everything that makes Live, Laugh, Larceny weird, ridiculous, and wonderfully petty. Wed, 22 Jul 2026 - 296 - EP 248: Mantrums & Manipulations
Prepare to get gaslit. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny, Trevin and Amanda dive into two stories connected by manipulation, deception, and people who believe everyone else is the problem. Before the crimes, Trevin begins physical therapy for an injured shoulder and arthritic hip, sparking a fresh round of body-image frustration. Amanda accidentally unleashes her full mom voice on an unsuspecting friend after mistaking her for one of her children. For Trivia, Trevin explores the surprising history of Neapolitan ice cream and its original flavor lineup, while Amanda brings one of New York City's strangest pieces of history: the infamous stunt where pranksters temporarily "stole" the deed to the Empire State Building. Then it's time for stories. Trevin takes us to Pennsylvania, where 48-year-old Eric Pierwsza turns a drunken meltdown into a full-scale mantrum. What starts as a bad night escalates into property destruction, an excavator, and consequences that are impossible to ignore. Amanda dives into the decades-long case of Beth Lisa Jaslove and the Center for Growth and Enlightenment, where a trusted therapist allegedly manipulated clients through the so-called Community Money Program. What began in 1999 ultimately became a story of deception, trust, and financial exploitation. From explosive tantrums to calculated manipulation, this episode explores what happens when people abuse power—whether through brute force or psychological control. Wed, 15 Jul 2026 - 295 - EP 247: Hunk of Burning Crimes
Stories are back, and this summer episode is bringing the heat. This week, Trevin finds himself facing a very adult problem: he got so lazy with meals and grocery shopping that he somehow ran out of food entirely. Amanda brushes up against a potential scam after her dad, Papa Dennis, receives a suspicious unpaid toll notice—leading Amanda's husband to do what any reasonable person would do and call the scammer himself. For Killer Facts, Amanda explores the explosive history of Krakatoa, the Indonesian volcano whose eruption produced one of the loudest sounds ever recorded. Trevin counters with a different kind of world record, introducing strongman John Stephenson, whose unusual fire-related stunts have made him famous for reasons you'll never forget. Then it's time for stories. Amanda heads to New Orleans, where baker Julie Fradella of The Sweet Hustle finds herself caught in a customer's relationship drama. When heartbreak, betrayal, and cake decorating collide, one custom order becomes a delicious act of petty revenge. Trevin brings a recent case out of Souderton, Pennsylvania, involving volunteer firefighter Justin Sholly. What begins as a story of heroism quickly transforms into a lesson about self-appointed saviors, as investigators uncover a pattern of arson tied to the very person eager to help. From revenge cakes to firefighters starting the very fires they're supposed to stop, this episode proves some people will do anything to feel the heat. Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 08 Jul 2026 - 294 - EP 246: One-Star Sentencing (Feat. Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet)
It's a podcast crossover years in the making. This week, Xandy and Christine Schiefer of the hit comedy podcast Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet join Trevin and Amanda for a game that combines bad reviews, petty crime, business owner meltdowns, and dramatic readings. Before the chaos begins, Trevin shares an update on getting his first tattoo—a memorial piece honoring his dog Mabel—and discovers that the anticipation was far scarier than the tattoo itself. Amanda gives a full update on the ever-growing drama inside her fish tank, complete with fish throuples, surprise babies, and fish named after soda. Xandy brings a Dreadful Dilemma involving a peaceful coffee shop visit ruined by an unexpected blast of Christian rock music, while Christine shares the painful reality of developing a bunion and suddenly understanding every foot-related complaint she's ever ignored. Then it's time for One-Star Sentencing, a game inspired by the world of Beach Too Sandy, Water Too Wet, where real customer reviews collide with truly unhinged business owner reactions. Together, the crew dives into bizarre stories involving: A Virginia restaurant manager who showed up at a customer's house after a Yelp review A tech founder who remotely disabled a customer's smart garage door opener over a bad Amazon review An Alabama ice cream shop owner arrested after confronting a reviewer A Barcelona restaurant fined for publicly posting reviewers' personal information A Florida diner dispute that escalated into a criminal investigation A German ballet director who became international news after retaliating against a critic with dog feces Featuring dramatic readings, improv, bad reviews, petty revenge, internet drama, Yelp disasters, customer service horror stories, and one-star meltdowns that somehow got even worse. Wed, 01 Jul 2026 - 293 - EP 245: Crime Con Confessions: Las Vegas (Feat. Abby Blabby)
The confessions are back, and this time we're discovering just how sinful true crime fans can be. Joined by true crime creator Abby Blabby (Abby Escobar), Trevin and Amanda open the Crime Con confession box and read anonymous (and occasionally very identifiable) submissions collected from attendees in Las Vegas. From petty theft and self-checkout "accidents" to dine-and-dashes, unpaid tolls, petting zoo break-ins, workplace mischief, and revenge plots involving dog poop and a cheating ex, these confessions prove that even true crime fans have a criminal side. Before diving into the confessions, Trevin explains why Shark Tank is no longer his favorite comfort viewing after one too many billionaire success stories. Amanda deals with the aftermath of a powerful storm that took down one of her massive trees. And Abby shares an unforgettable Dreadful Dilemma involving a first date, a perfect bathroom, and a gastrointestinal emergency that quickly spiraled out of control. Then it's time to read the confessions, judge the crimes, and discover what happens when the audience becomes the suspect. Featuring petty theft, petty revenge, questionable life choices, and some of the funniest stories to come out of Crime Con Las Vegas. 🎧 Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 24 Jun 2026 - 292 - EP 244: Crime Con, Casinos & Court Dates
We're back from CrimeCon 2026 in Las Vegas, and we've got stories to tell. This week, Amanda and Trevin recap their trip to Sin City, including our live show with Dating Detectives and Generation WHY, the highs and lows of CrimeCon, Amanda's poolside adventures at Caesars Palace, Trevin's failed quest to visit a dispensary, and an unexpected overnight stay in the wrong airport. Then it's time for some long-overdue criminal updates as we revisit three unforgettable cases from the Live, Laugh, Larceny archives. First, we check in on Justin Timberlake's infamous DUI arrest and the newly released footage of his field sobriety test—the same arrest that nearly "ruined the tour." Next, we return to California's bizarre "Operation Bear Claw" insurance scam, where fraudsters used a person in a bear costume to stage attacks on luxury vehicles in an attempt to collect nearly $142,000 in fraudulent insurance claims. Sentences have finally been handed down, and we're still thinking about that incredible dad-rock soundtrack. Finally, we revisit the Massachusetts woman who attempted to stop an eviction by unleashing a swarm of honeybees on deputies and civilians. Nearly four years later, a jury has reached its verdict. Vegas stories, criminal consequences, and one of the strangest update episodes we've ever done. Cases revisited from the LLL archives:• EP 165: This is Going to Ruin the Tour – Justin Timberlake's DUI Arrest• EP 183: When Squirrels Collide – Operation Bear Claw• EP 84: Buffalo Jills and the Buffalo Who Buffalo – The Bee Eviction Case 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday. Join Trevin and Amanda as they welcome McKenzie Fultz (@Freedombarbie) of Dating Detectives and Aaron Habel of Generation WHY for a true crime game show featuring some of the dumbest criminals ever to grace Sin City. Along the way, the audience gets involved, contestants battle for bragging rights, and everyone learns an important lesson: fascinating criminals aren't always masterminds. Thu, 11 Jun 2026 - 290 - Intergalactic House of Pancakes – Rainy Day Rabbit Holes Tells Us a Story
While Trevin and Amanda recover from CrimeCon, our friend Shea from Rainy Day Rabbit Holes stops by to tell us a tale that just might involve an alien encounter. But first, the crew shares what's chapping their asses this week. Shea's husband has terrible dishwasher etiquette and continues wasting valuable dish space. Trevin can't figure out why restaurants stopped using drive-thru speakers in favor of sending employees outside into the summer heat. And Amanda has found herself haunted by the same cheesy reality-TV soundtrack song across multiple different shows. Then, Shea welcomes us to the Summer of Saucers with one of the strangest UFO stories ever reported. In 1961, a Wisconsin plumber claimed a flying saucer landed in his driveway. The occupants didn't abduct him, probe him, or deliver a warning for humanity. They asked for water... and gave him pancakes. Was it a hoax? A hallucination? Or was Joe Simonton really standing in his driveway holding extraterrestrial breakfast food? Take a break from the heavy and get petty... and possibly intergalactic. Thu, 04 Jun 2026 - 289 - Alecia Tells us a Story! Our Collab with Truly Twisted
Hey everyone! Amanda and I are setting sail for Vegas in the morning, but luckily Alecia came to tell us a story that was suggested by one of our listeners. Enjoy the story and give Alecia some love!!! The Unbelievable Story of Dawn DaLuise - EP 51 of Truly Twisted Dawn DaLuise’s story is like something straight out of a Hollywood thriller — except it actually happened. In March of 2014 this infamous skincare queen would be arrested for soliciting the murder of one of her competitor's. After years of building a prestigious reputation for herself working with celebrities all over the city, her character was called into question. As this case unraveled, we were left with more questions than answers but I imagine the truth lies somewhere in the middle of all sides to this story. So lets dive into it. Thu, 28 May 2026 - 288 - EP 243: The Crew Meets a Petty Criminal
This episode was almost called A Crescendo of Crime… but then we accidentally booked a petty criminal. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda dive into strange crimes, bizarre animal behavior, and their first-ever interview with the subject of a story. Trevin revisits the very millennial experience of being labeled a “back-talker” as a kid, while Amanda battles bedtime negotiations as Winnie discovers the art of lovebombing for extra conversation time. For Top 5, Trevin explores rejected Illinois vanity license plates — including disasters like “THICCAF” and “BLUBALLN” — while Amanda counts down the most bizarre animal mating techniques in nature, featuring Surinam toads, bed bugs, and even fish from Finding Nemo. Trevin’s story takes us to the University of Alaska, where theater student Graham Granger becomes surrounded by AI-generated artwork. But when one particular AI art display pushes him over the edge, he makes the unforgettable decision to eat the art itself. Amanda heads back to 1950 for the story of Marion D. Perry, a suburban man driven mad by nonstop barking dogs — leading him to devise a very unusual form of revenge. Then, in a first for the show, Trevin interviews Graham Granger himself to learn what actually happened, how his stomach survived eating AI art, and whether the viral news coverage got the story right. From rejected license plates to consumed artwork, this episode gets loud in all the weirdest ways. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday. Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 13 May 2026 - 286 - EP 241: Men Ruin Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day is here… and somehow, men are making it worse. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda dive into chaotic stories, strange headlines, and petty crimes that prove no holiday is safe. Trevin vents about Reddit and its anti–community-building ways, while Amanda survives planning a Paw Patrol and ponies birthday party. For Two Truths and a Lie, Amanda celebrates Mother Nature with unbelievable tornado facts, while Trevin brings prank-related chaos involving George Clooney, Michael Jackson, politics, and poop. Amanda’s story heads to South Fulton, Georgia, where a viral school lunch photo featuring a Cutwater Lemon Drop Martini sparks questions — and an imaginative origin story of how it got there. Trevin takes us to Al Musanaa, Oman, where a camel beauty pageant becomes a bizarre reflection of masculinity and competition, as men push animals to extremes with cosmetic enhancements — leading to a Botox scandal that exposes just how far patriarchal standards of “beauty” can go. From questionable parenting moments to over-the-top displays of masculinity, this episode proves Mother’s Day can get messy. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday.Take a break from the heavy and get petty. When petty criminals panic… they run. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda explore chaotic escape attempts, strange history, and petty crime stories where fleeing only makes things worse. Killer Facts highlights Dorothy Dietrich, a pioneering female escape artist known for performing a bullet catch with her teeth, while Trevin explores Jamtara, India — widely known as a hub for phishing scams and cybercrime. Amanda’s story takes us to Muskegon Heights, Michigan, where Kendra Aney escalates a drug-related incident by breaking out of a police car in a desperate attempt to flee. Trevin heads to Charleston, South Carolina, where a haunted carriage tour with Palmetto Carriage Works takes a bizarre turn when Nicole Wells’ encounter introduces something far less historical — and far more chaotic — than expected. Wed, 22 Apr 2026 - 283 - EP 238: HIGH Crimes & Misdemeanors
It’s time for our annual 420 special — and things are getting elevated. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda celebrate with chaotic stories, munchie-fueled dilemmas, and drug-related petty crimes. Trevin’s taco night dilemma leads to a surprising discovery: mini taco shells might be the ultimate munchies snack. Amanda brings the cravings too, diving into the new McDonald's K-pop meal and lamenting a missed sauce opportunity. For a special one-time segment, the crew shares their dream blunt rotation — from Kid Cudi to a mix of comedy and music influences that are nearly impossible to narrow down. Amanda’s story follows Afroman (Joseph Foreman) and the fallout from a police raid on his home, the music it inspired, and the legal battle that followed. Trevin takes us to the UK, where Ian Cloughton turned Home Alone into a criminal blueprint — using booby traps and DIY security to protect his drug operation. From raids to ridiculous decisions, this 420 episode proves crime and creativity don’t always mix. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday.Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Thu, 16 Apr 2026 - 282 - EP 237: We Planted a Landscape of Fear
Things are about to get nasty — and in these stories, anything can be planted anywhere. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda dive into chaotic headlines, reality TV drama, and some of the grossest petty crimes yet. Trevin vents about Kansas City traffic after a major bridge shutdown, while Amanda spirals over reality TV chaos as Taylor Frankie Paul shakes up both The Bachelorette and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. For Two Truths and a Lie, Trevin brings bizarre traffic-related facts involving Frank Sinatra, wolf populations, and the Seinfeld finale, while Amanda explores the strange history of Charles II of Spain and the extreme consequences of royal inbreeding. Trevin’s story heads to Towson, Maryland, where Christopher Carroll’s behavior at a fire station escalates into a disturbing and unsanitary series of acts involving shared items and an audience. Amanda brings us to Newport Beach, where 53-year-old Michael David Meek repeatedly targets Roger's Gardens — leading to an unexpected hero and some very creative surveillance tactics. Wed, 08 Apr 2026 - 281 - EP 236: Jailhouse of Mouse (Feat. Arijana Ramic)
Your Disney Channel nostalgia is about to take a hit. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, stand-up comedian Arijana Ramic joins Trevin and Amanda for a deep dive into Disney Channel stars, celebrity crimes, and chaotic real-life stories. Arijana shares her 10-year stand-up journey and how writing led her to the stage, while Trevin brings a dilemma about the Instagram algorithm turning stand-up comedy into static content. Amanda recaps a work party wardrobe struggle that ends with an unexpected “I ❤️ sluts” shirt sighting, and Arijana vents about the universal annoyance of noise pollution. Then it’s time for Jailhouse of Mouse, a custom game where Disney Channel stars meet their criminal records. From Shia LaBeouf’s first arrest at age nine to scandals involving the Jonas Brothers, a fake ID incident at Coachella, and appearances from Zac Efron and the cast of High School Musical, the crew revisits the wild side of childhood icons — including a shared love for Hannah Montana. To close, Arijana shares her own real-life story of being the victim of a petty crime after discovering an arsonist on her patio — and why trusting your gut matters. Wed, 01 Apr 2026 - 280 - EP 235: Lions and Care Bears... Oh My!
Animals, disguises, and terrible decisions. This one gets messy. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Trevin and Amanda dive into petty crime, strange science, and chaotic storytelling. Trevin resists a new “Ocean Wave” light projector before realizing it might actually help his executive function, while Amanda attends a Valentine’s party that quickly turns into a drunken adventure involving aerial hoops and questionable decisions. Killer Facts explores the internet’s favorite amphibian, the axolotl, and why it’s suddenly everywhere, while Trevin shares a bizarre scientific development involving early research into “butt-breathing” and human trials. For stories, Amanda takes us to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where a group of teens — some dressed in Care Bear onesies — break into an abandoned Radisson hotel during a chaotic sleepover night. Trevin heads to Bangkok, Thailand, where a police commander’s jewels are stolen multiple times, leading authorities to go undercover in disguise — including a traditional lion costume tied to Lunar New Year — in an attempt to catch the thief. From animal obsessions to costume crimes, both stories connect through marker-covered faces and questionable decisions. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday.Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 18 Mar 2026 - 278 - EP 233: Now That’s What I Call Listener Stories Vol. 4
It’s time for another all-listener episode. In this installment of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, we dive into listener stories, embarrassing moments, and petty crime chaos submitted by the crew. Trevin starts the episode with a thrift store date gone wrong when a sudden puke attack turns him into an accidental accomplice to a petty crime. Amanda reflects on the new documentary Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, revisiting early 2000s modeling culture and sharing some of her own early modeling photos — including the surprising label of “plus-sized” model at the time. Listener dilemmas include Kelly saying goodbye to her dog Roscoe, Emily P. preparing for a karate competition while dealing with an injury, Autumn M. navigating a tricky corporate management situation, cold-weather mishaps from Kristine N. and Casey N., and Emily S. accidentally leaving an embarrassing journal entry open for her Rover pet sitter. Then it’s time for the listener stories. Trevin shares a high school story from Katie H. that starts with Taco Bell and ends with an embarrassing fart, a breakup, revenge by cheese, and an unexpected police encounter. Amanda tells a story from an anonymous listener whose wildlife critter cam captured more than Midwest animals — it also caught the person responsible for damaging the camera. From sharts to surveillance cameras, this listener episode proves once again that real life is often stranger — and pettier — than fiction. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday.Take a break from the heavy and get petty. Wed, 11 Mar 2026 - 277 - PETTY REWIND - EP 173: Amanda’s Renaissance Period
Huzzah! Another week of petty crime chaos is upon us. In this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, Amanda takes us back to the Renaissance — from medieval period problems to terrifying torture devices — while Trevin seeks advice for his lifelong nail-biting habit and delivers a strange-but-true Two Truths and a Lie about fingernails. Amanda’s Two Truths and a Lie dives into infamous medieval torture devices before bringing us to the Colorado Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, Colorado, where 22-year-old Connor Ward allegedly crashed a live jousting performance and attempted to steal a knight’s sword mid-tournament. Trevin’s story heads to Kent County, Michigan, where 51-year-old Shannon Soltys was charged after allegedly forging attorney-client mail to smuggle narcotics into the Kent County Jail, leading to arrests on Trenton Avenue in Cedar Springs. From jousting theft to forged jail mail, this episode proves that crime can span centuries — but it’s always petty. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday. Wed, 04 Mar 2026 - 276 - EP 232: Party ’Til the Cows Come Home (Florida February Finale)
Florida February ends the only way it can: with a party that goes completely off the rails. In this finale episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, we cover a Florida police chase in Seminole County involving Jennifer Kaufman, Jamie Young, and Erin Thomas, who allegedly stole a car while searching for a party — only for one suspect to end up cornered in a pasture by cows. Trevin shares a listener story from A-Line about a chaotic 22nd birthday featuring a party mom, too much alcohol, a bottle of Grey Goose, and a chair-wielding fight with a pseudo-uncle that escalates fast. Before the crimes, Trevin tackles unexpected “man work” with a furnace repair while Amanda visits the University of Kansas (KU) campus for a college basketball game — where a Westboro Baptist Church protest turns into awkward karaoke. The crew also plays Florida trivia, covering the 3,500-year-old bald cypress known as The Senator in Longwood and the history of the Conch Republic, the Florida Keys region that briefly seceded from the United States, declared war, and immediately requested foreign aid. From drug-fueled bad decisions to birthday party brawls, this Florida February Finale proves that if you party in Florida long enough… the cows will come home. Wed, 25 Feb 2026 - 275 - EP 231: Men Who Go Bump in the Night
Nothing good happens in Florida after dark. In this week’s episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, we cover late-night Florida man chaos in Ocala, Kissimmee, and Lakeland. Trevin shares his first emergency room experience before diving into Florida-themed Two Truths and a Lie focused on Florida geography, Tampa Bay heat history, and the Cross-Florida Ship Canal. Amanda counters with Two Truths and a Lie about manatees (aka sea cows), covering their biology and bizarre historical lore — plus a wholesome update where an old neighbor gifts her a 100-year-old piano. Then Fast Florida takes a darker turn when 61-year-old Antonio Roman in Ocala allegedly set his sprinkler system to spray disabled children at a nearby bus stop. Storytime continues in Kissimmee’s Windsor Hills Resort, where 51-year-old Kevin Westerhold was arrested after allegedly performing nude around his Airbnb. Finally, in Lakeland, 33-year-old Anthony Lewis stole sandhill crane statues in a Valentine’s-inspired attempt to win back his on-again, off-again girlfriend. From neighborhood nightmares to naked nuisances, these nocturnal Florida men prove one thing: never trust Florida when the lights go out. 🎧 New episodes drop every Wednesday. Wed, 18 Feb 2026 - 274 - EP 230: Yikes on Bikes!
If you thought last week’s Florida true crimes couldn’t get any dumber, buckle up—these Florida men on two wheels are about to outdo themselves. Florida February continues. Trevin opens with a full-on potty meltdown when his Wet Weather Diva, Sammy, refuses to use the bathroom in the rain. What begins as an inspirational pep talk escalates into a backyard cheer routine that Trevin documents on Instagram like a proud stage dad. Amanda brings her own dog dilemma as Reptar keeps army-crawling under the kids’ bunk bed, choosing chaos over comfort. Fast Florida heads to New Port Richey, where a crew of Pasco County inmates flips the script during community service—breaking into a locked car to rescue a one-year-old baby while dressed like classic cartoon jailbirds. From zero to hero in record time. You go, Pasco County. In Florida Top Five, Trevin counts down the wildest world records held by the Sunshine State: the shortest donkey, the tallest sangria, the largest gathering of Ninja Turtles, and some truly next-level Easter enthusiasm. Amanda answers with the Top Five Weirdest Florida Food Festivals—celebrating mullets (the fish, not the haircut), strawberries on pizza, the impossible-to-pronounce kumquat, and the legendary Floridian “cracker delicacy,” swamp cabbage. For our stories, Trevin delivers a crowd-pleaser as One-Nut Tony relocates to Marco Island. A peaceful e-bike ride goes sideways when Steven Pickett brake-checks him, triggering a hit-and-run, a golf-cart dragging, and a chain of bad decisions that may pull Tony right back into crime. Amanda closes with the unbelievable saga of Ray Reza Baluchi, the Fort Lauderdale dreamer determined to “run on water.” His homemade Hydro Pod—and self-appointed title of Captain Bubble—aren’t enough to keep the Coast Guard happy, proving that even international waters have rules. When you’re manifestly unsafe, there’s no outrunning the law. Both stories collide around bicycles and truly bizarre moments involving them. Put on your helmet before these two—things get dangerous. Sat, 07 Feb 2026 - 272 - EP 229: Petty Beaches Make System Breaches
Welcome to the second annual Florida February, where the stories get dumber, the dramatics get louder, and our sound-FX machine is working overtime. Trevin falls for another brilliant marketing trap courtesy of Lil Dicky’s Buzzballs commercials and arrives with a “celebratory” beverage. Amanda dresses up for a fancy work New Year party, only to crash in her makeup and wake up with her acne in full goblin mode. We kick things off with Killer Facts from the Sunshine State. Amanda spotlights the adorable oddity of the world’s smallest police station in Carrabelle, Florida, while Trevin heads to Quincy, where Pat Munroe’s Coca-Cola hunch turned a tiny town into a community of soda millionaires. Our first story dives into the Wreck Bar in Fort Lauderdale, home to performing mermaids Whitney Fair and Mia Mellies. Their years-long rivalry involves nudity, alleged witchcraft, and multiple visits from law enforcement. You may have seen this case on HBO’s It’s Florida, Man—but you’ve never heard it like this. And yes, we’ve got an update. Then Trevin takes us to St. Petersburg and the offices of 1-800Accountant, where a new HR director’s petty streak and serious attitude problem spiral into an unauthorized access nightmare that threatens the entire company. Two Florida stories, one shared theme: system breaches fueled by pure pettiness. So hack into your podcast app of choice and dive in. Welcome to Florida. Wed, 04 Feb 2026 - 271 - EP 228: We Don’t Talk About Politics
The final episode of Dry January is here, and just like last year, we’re ending it with an honest conversation instead of a story. During a break from writing petty crime, Trevin spent time reflecting on something he was raised to avoid: politics. Growing up in a polite, Midwestern family, he learned early that talking about politics was seen as divisive, impolite, and unnecessary — a rule meant to keep the peace. But over time, that silence came with consequences. That reflection turned into two personal essays — We Don’t Talk About Politics and Why We Don’t Talk About Politics — exploring how avoidance shapes families, relationships, identity, and power. The pieces examine how silence can make people vulnerable to misinformation, how overcomplication and busyness discourage engagement, and how institutions benefit when everyday people are taught that understanding politics is “for someone smarter.” In this episode, Trevin and Amanda sit down to unpack those ideas together. They talk about Amanda’s early experiences with politics, how each of them was taught to engage (or disengage), and how avoiding difficult conversations doesn’t make problems disappear — it just lets someone else speak for you. They also explore how this silence affects more than just families. When any subject is treated as shameful or off-limits — politics, money, masculinity, mental health — people are left unprepared to protect themselves, their relationships, and their futures. This isn’t a debate episode. It’s a conversation about communication, power, and what happens when “keeping the peace” costs us our voices. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, unqualified, or afraid to speak up because you assumed everyone else had it figured out — this one’s for you. Let’s talk about politics. https://medium.com/@fiestamaiden/we-dont-talk-about-politics-856dc0a076d1 https://medium.com/@fiestamaiden/why-we-dont-talk-about-politics-e2686d89dba5 Join our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/livelaughlarcenydoomedcrew For ad-free episodes and lots of other bonus content, join our Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/LiveLaughLarceny Check out our website: Here Follow us on Instagram: Here Follow us on Facebook: Here Follow us on TikTok: Here Follow us on Twitter: Here If you have a crime you'd like to hear on our show OR have a personal petty story, email us at livelaughlarceny@gmail.com or send us a DM on any of our socials! Wed, 28 Jan 2026 - 270 - EP 227: Questions From the Doomed Crew
Dry January continues as the Live, Laugh, Larceny crew opens the floor to listener questions for our most behind-the-scenes episode yet. Trevin comes clean about a secret he’s been sitting on—and the dilemma that comes with committing to yet another creative project. Hear about his new concept album goal, why Big Sexy Fear might become the greatest album of all time, and the terrifying reality of publicly announcing creative ambition. Amanda shares a betrayal so cruel it can only be described as culinary malpractice. This isn’t about missing ketchup. This is about a full order of Chinese food arriving with sweet and sour chicken… and no sauce. RIP to the saucy queen. Trevin finally brings in two long-forgotten listener dilemmas, including misunderstanding “viewer discretion advised” as a kid and receiving a deeply unsettling DM from a Facebook profile that may—or may not—be stalking him. Then it’s time for questions from the Doomed Crew. Listener Tawny officially challenges Papa Dennis to appear on Live, Laugh, Larceny. But will he accept? We also dive into the funniest and most memorable moments from Trevin and Amanda’s real-life friendship: – Amanda being at her absolute funniest during her first pregnancy – Trevin feeling a baby kick – Amanda’s karaoke strategy (and survival tactics) A loaded question about pets leads to stories about Amanda’s collies, Reptar and Yoshi, while Trevin walks through the full timeline of his cats—Freddy, Boots, and Harvey—including a moment where Boots’ curiosity almost lived up to the phrase “killed the cat.” Plus: Who would play the hosts in a Hollywood adaptation of Live, Laugh, Larceny? What do we actually hope listeners get from the show, beyond entertainment? Are there petty crimes we’ll never admit to on the podcast? Trevin shares a personal story that could someday become a trilogy, and we close with an honest conversation about how we’re all coping during… whatever this era is. Wed, 14 Jan 2026 - 268 - 2025 Petties Award Show - Part 1
It’s a new year, which means it’s time to emotionally process one of the worst years of our lives… by celebrating the best crimes of 2025. Before the awards begin, Trevin and Amanda ease back into things with fresh dilemmas after not seeing each other for a while. Trevin recounts a Christmas mishap involving his new rescue pup, Sammy—starting with her epic glow-up since adoption and ending with a Christmas morning escape that sparks a long, stressful search. Amanda shares her own holiday chaos, when the infamous 2025 Christmas sickness wiped out her entire family and turned their break into an extended quarantine. Then it’s time for the first five categories of the 2025 Petties Awards. Who delivered the most dreadful dilemma of the year? What were each host’s most killer facts? Trevin pulls back the curtain on how he produces the show, including a behind-the-scenes look at the first major audio mistake in nearly five years of Live, Laugh, Larceny. Plus, the award for Best Naked Criminal leads to an unsettling realization: was 2025… the least sexy year on record? To close things out, Trevin revisits his favorite story of 2025, listening back with Amanda and breaking down why it stuck with him. Was it the man who faked his own death? Zin Zhang and the infamous cold chicken? Or the Florida boy who called the cops to ask why they hadn’t found him yet? Tune in for Part 1 of the 2025 Petties, then come back next week for the remaining categories and Amanda’s favorite story of the year. Bring on the Petties—because 2026 already has plenty of criminals waiting in the wings. Wed, 07 Jan 2026 - 267 - PETTY REWIND - EP 150: Petty or Paranormal (feat. And That’s Why We Drink)
The crew is here—and they brought friends. This week, Amanda and Trevin are joined by Em Schulz and Christine Schiefer, the hosts of the hit paranormal and true crime comedy podcast And That’s Why We Drink, for an all-star crossover episode full of petty crimes, questionable decisions, and maybe a ghost or two. Things kick off with an All-Star Dilemmas segment. Trevin recounts a run-in with an angry bald man in Kansas City traffic—and the deeply petty revenge that followed. Amanda’s past comes back to haunt her when her daughter rescues a pair of heart-shaped nipple pasties from the trash and proudly adds them to a wall mural. Christine becomes convinced Amanda’s daughter Lyla may secretly be BANKSY. Em and Christine bring their own dilemmas to the table. Em faces the ultimate horror: a cruise with their mom and husband… all while sharing a room. Christine opens up about a therapist-recommended book, The Untethered Soul, and how, with the help of an edible, she finally met her inner voice—only to discover it is extremely annoying. Then, the crew debuts an original game created just for ATWWD: Petty or Paranormal. Em and Christine must decide whether a series of increasingly bizarre scenarios were caused by supernatural forces or extremely petty criminals. Topics include Mike Myers on a beach, dirty-talking ghosts, a grudge held beyond the grave, warnings from a time traveler, and attempting to marry a ghost in international waters. To close things out, Em confesses to a petty past involving urban exploring (or, as police might call it, breaking and entering). Christine attempts to incriminate Em through shared memories—only to accidentally point the finger back at herself—before telling an original story. Finally, Christine shares her own personal petty crime tale: The Coat Room Caper. In this kindergarten-era revenge story, a young Christine targets her classmates—especially one taller, more popular girl—proving that a life of petty crime can begin with something as simple as misplaced backpacks. Wed, 31 Dec 2025 - 266 - EP 226: Deck the Halls & Cross the Line
’Tis the season—and things are about to get decked. In this Christmas special episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny, Trevin witnesses capitalism for kids firsthand while volunteering with Junior Achievement BizTown, the company shaping young business minds. Even a Playskool-level version of the American economy somehow manages to be bleak. Meanwhile, Amanda gives her legs their first winter shave… with a weed whacker, and the crew dives into listener dilemmas. From a long-awaited “paint your spouse” anniversary date (with video evidence), to rude coworkers and seasonal body pains, it’s the season of giving—and we’re giving you a platform to complain. The crew also brings back the Naughty List, each revealing their personal picks for 2025. High cholesterol, vet offices, sausage patties, and the government all make appearances. Hear who made the list—and why they’re so naughty. For stories, Trevin takes us to Hanes Mall in North Carolina, where Elsie Brooks, Selma Brooks, and Christina MacDonald just want to take their kids to see Santa. But a strict elf, Shannon Athena Watkins, has rules—and she expects them to be followed. Will this end in a Christmas miracle… or simple assault? Amanda follows with the long, storied life of Carol Christensen, a retired circus performer and stunt woman turned spreader of joy. With her biggest events behind her, she discovers that withholding joy from a police officer can still earn you a ride to the station. Thu, 25 Dec 2025 - 265 - EP 225: Justin Fixes Christmas (Feat. Justin of Generation WHY)
This Christmas special is coming at you with three hos, as we’re joined by one of the original true crime podcasters. Justin Evans from Generation WHY stops by to reminisce about his early podcasting days, survive a round of unhinged holiday dilemmas, and—most importantly—fix Christmas once and for all. But first: dilemmas.Trevin reveals a dirty little corporate secret after buying men’s “pull-up” pants on clearance and wearing them to work—drawstring and all. Amanda gives her Santa house a red light bulb, accidentally turning her festive décor into something vaguely satanic. And Justin visits an ear, nose, and throat doctor, only to leave feeling violated, furious, and emotionally prepared for revenge. Then, things get serious. 🎄 Justin Fixes Christmas Christmas didn’t used to be this sanitized. Long before it became a hyper-profitable, aggressively cheerful machine, the winter holiday was packed with strange, feral, and genuinely cool traditions pulled from cultures across the world. In this original game, Justin is given the rare opportunity to replace modern Christmas staples with forgotten—or deeply questionable—alternatives. Across six core pillars of Christmas, Justin must answer trivia rooted in real holiday history, folklore, and chaos. Replace four or more pillars and he officially Fixes Christmas, creating a new holiday in his image: Justinmas. Fail, and Christmas remains broken forever… which feels fair. Santa & Christmas Mascots — featuring the Yule Goat, Krampus, and other unsettling holiday figures Decorations — including cursed spiders, suspicious pickles, and traditions no one can fully explain Music & Anthems — spanning Rage Against the Machine, Miley Cyrus, and heavy metal Christmas covers recorded by Christopher Lee Movies & Specials — from Victorian-era Christmas ghost stories to a deep dive on A Christmas Story and its far darker, largely forgotten sequel Food Traditions — including international customs involving live animals temporarily housed in bathtubs before becoming Christmas dinner The Spirit of Christmas — from chaotic bar crawls to alternative interpretations of what the holiday is actually supposed to mean If Justin wins, we debut a Justinmas Mad Lib to celebrate his newly fixed holiday. If he loses, Christmas stays broken—and we underscored that failure with traditional Christmas music played gently beneath fart noises. Holiday magic, but make it petty. Hey everybody, just popping in to let you know I owe you an episode. We hit a little scheduling conflict this week, and instead of rushing something out, I wanted to give it the time it deserves. Don’t worry — you’re still getting one guest holiday episode and a proper holiday special before Christmas. Thank you for your patience. For now, let’s rewind to last year’s holiday special and take a look back at how it all went down.” The holiday season is upon us, and everyone’s misbehaving! This week, Trevin kicks things off with a festive TV show recommendation perfect for any Christmas binge, while Amanda shares her struggle after buying an Elf on the Shelf so small it could hide in a snowflake—meet Frost Pips! Before diving into the chaos, the crew exchanges Christmas presents, where Amanda receives a fun surprise, and Trevin delivers a gift so huge it might just steal the show.Next, the crew unwraps a Top 5 Holiday Edition filled with bizarre and petty Christmas facts. Was there a prequel to The Grinch Who Stole Christmas? What’s the surprisingly petty history behind Christmas caroling? And did someone really write a Christmas song about... pooping presents?Story Time delivers two shockingly selfish holiday crimes. Amanda tells the tale of Shaina Hudson, a mother of five who woke up to a Grinch-like thief stealing her family’s Christmas gifts. Trevin follows up with the story of a mischievous South Carolina kid whose quest for a GameBoy Advance SP takes a hilariously selfish turn. Both stories reveal just how far people will go to steal—from themselves—during the holidays.Don’t be a ho ho ho this season! Wed, 10 Dec 2025 - 263 - EP 224: A Petty Skate of Affairs
We’re going old school this week—straight to every millennial’s favorite childhood battleground: the roller rink. Trevin kicks things off with a bizarre dream featuring Amanda, her husband, and a massive alligator. But when Dream Trevin tries to play hero, Real Trevin wakes up in a very familiar (and very painful) situation. Meanwhile, Amanda heads to a kid’s birthday party at a roller rink. She shows up ready for nostalgia… but her mid-30s body is not ready to roll. Gravity absolutely has notes. Then it’s time for Would You Rather. Amanda asks if you’d prefer a terrible-looking mugshot or a glamorous one where you’re mid-sneeze. Trevin brings a year-end twist: would you rather every device you own insult you… or relive all of 2025 again? Amanda’s story this week features a South Carolina teen who brings chaos to the rink—armed with confidence, questionable humor, and a water bottle full of cooking oil. Due to life being life, Trevin swaps his usual story for four headlines in what he calls his “Petty Black Mirror” segment. This week’s petty tech tales include: • Facebook’s underground sperm-selling groups and the petty drama inside Sperm Donors UK & Get Your Baby Dust Here. • An Ontario man tricked by ChatGPT into believing he’d discovered a world-saving breakthrough—sending him into psychosis. • The Kumma Bear, an AI-enabled teddy bear developing disturbing phrases and unsafe behaviors. • And an update to X’s AI, Grok, that forces it to only compliment Elon Musk… leading trolls to prompt some very strange praise—including Elon's alleged skill of drinking pee. It’s all fun-on-wheels meets dystopian tech weirdness this week. So lace up, log off, and join us for A Petty Skate of Affairs. Wed, 03 Dec 2025 - 262 - EP 223: Two Turkeys Share a Thanksgiving Meal
It’s Thanksgiving Eve, and Amanda & Trevin are inviting you to their table a day early—just in time to practice a few conversations you might want to avoid at your own family gathering. This week, the crew actually gives thanks for a change. Trevin reflects on discovering Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation, and how the book connects to his family’s history with masculinity. Amanda finds gratitude in her injured wrist, even writing a heartfelt (and hilarious) poem about all the good it brings into her life. To warm things up, they dive into Thanksgiving Trivia. Amanda quizzes Trevin about a returning character in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, leading to theories ranging from Shrek to Ronald McDonald—plus a dubious Spider-Man parade memory. Trevin’s trivia topic exposes a viral Facebook article on the legal scams the platform feeds users daily, and the big money behind them. Then it’s on to the main course: a full holiday platter of petty crimes, scams, chaos, and questionable choices. Tempe, AZ: LaVina Jackson is arrested after a Thanksgiving fight—then picked up from jail by her partner, Miguel Redshirt, in a stolen truck. Burlington, Ontario: A local man shares fake nudes of his ex-wife with a friend, leading to an unusual court decision. Lafayette, Louisiana: Walmart employees Stacey Dishman, Jordan Lee Dalton, and Abigail Lane cheat Black Friday promotions for extra cash. Hamilton, Ontario: A 36-year-old man steals a Hamilton Street Railway bus full of passengers… and heroically takes everyone to their correct stops (while denying unpaid riders). Bucks County, Philadelphia: Anthony Gisondi steals hundreds of dollars worth of frozen turkeys to pay for drugs—and someone unexpected takes him down. France: Oscar Delaite, 19, breaks the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous bicycle wheelie—just because he felt like it. We’re serving up a Thanksgiving spread that will leave you full, subdued, and passed out on the couch.Join us at the table. Come hungry and leave stuffed with crime. Wed, 26 Nov 2025 - 261 - EP 222: Grief, Deceit, and Raining Meat
We may be out of October, but the tricks keep coming. This week, Trevin brings his cats back into the spotlight after buying a Kitty Kurlz Infinity Scratcher—a purchase that ends up impressing him far more than his feline children. Meanwhile, Amanda deals with a different kind of domestic chaos as every major appliance in her new home breaks at once. With no microwave, dishwasher, or dryer, she begins her reluctant journey into inner tradwife territory. Trevin’s Killer Fact dives into unproven remedies and folklore, sparked by a recent article about an older Chinese woman who believed swallowing frogs had healing powers—and the painful consequences that followed. Amanda follows up with another bizarre historical phenomenon: the Kentucky Meat Shower of 1876. From theories about falling meat, to likely origins, to whether anyone actually tasted it, the mystery unfolds in all its unsettling glory. During Storytime, Trevin adapts a petty crime headline into a tale filled with grief, funerals, and emotional misdirection. After 74-year-old Mohan Lal unexpectedly passes away, his village gathers for a dramatic funeral procession that leads to the newly built crematorium—and an unexpected twist. Amanda then covers the case of Karen Clark, a St. Louis woman who spent eight years battling debt collectors and police calls after a bizarre identity theft. When a second Karen enters the picture, the confusion skyrockets. In this petty crime saga, two Karens might actually make a right. Both stories this week are tied together by fraud, deception, and identity mischief. So bring a sturdy umbrella—and trust no one—because it’s raining meat and deceit. Wed, 19 Nov 2025 - 260 - EP 221: The Dog Days Have Just Begun
After a wild spooky season, Trevin and Amanda slow things down with a laid-back episode full of laughs, pets, and petty crimes. Trevin opens up about his chaotic October — from grief and illness to missing everything from his anniversary to Saw: The Parody Musical and Amanda’s Halloween party. Amanda catches him up with stories from her “Frights & Bites” cook-off, sharing what he missed and tying it to the bizarre 2019 case of Jacob William Rogge, who robbed a High’s convenience store in Baldwin, Maryland, while dressed as a unicorn. To turn his luck around, Trevin shares how he rescued two Shelties, Sammy and October, finding healing through puppy love. The headlines this week include: 🐾 A fire caused by Colton, the Chapel Hill Fire Chief’s dog, who bit into a lithium-ion battery. 💉 French influencer Ilan M (Amine Mojoto) arrested for staging fake syringe attacks in Paris for YouTube clicks. 🚗 Ohio woman Toria Townsend, questioned after police believed there was a body in her trunk during a traffic stop. 🎬 A Hong Kong controversy over an unauthorized AI edit of the Allison Brie film Together, sparking LGBTQ+ backlash. A cozy, chaotic mix of real-life laughs, dogs, and ridiculous crimes — the dog days have just begun. Wed, 12 Nov 2025 - 259 - EP 220: The Great Midwest vs. PNW Debate (Feat. Rainy Day Rabbit Holes)
You’ve heard of East Coast vs. West Coast — but forget all that. This week, we’re settling the real rivalry: the Midwest vs. the Pacific Northwest. Shea and Jody of Rainy Day Rabbit Holes, the podcast that uncovers the wild, weird, and wonderful hidden stories of the Pacific Northwest and beyond, join Trevin and Amanda for a four-round battle of regional pride, petty chaos, and pointless competition. Before the main event, our hosts bring their dreadful dilemmas, ranging from awkward public encounters with subtly racist strangers, being too busy for dog playdates, and making retirement plans far too early — plus, Amanda spots our modern-day muse, Chappell Roan, out in the wilds of Kansas City. Then, it’s time for the Great Debate — a showdown across four over-the-top rounds: ⚔️ Round One: The Great Debate – Each team makes an absurdly passionate case for their homeland, backed by one bizarre local legend. From the Midwest’s failed utopia of Fordlandia to Oregon’s infamous exploding whale, chaos is the only constant. 👹 Round Two: Cryptid Showdown – Batsquatch, the Missouri Monster, and the Frogman of Loveland go head-to-head in a mythical melee. ⚖️ Round Three: Ridiculous Laws – From a tax for being single to the price of killing Bigfoot, we discover which region is the most unhinged legislatively. 🗞️ Round Four: Absurd Headlines – Viral zebras, weird weather, and headlines that make you question the human condition — both sides bring their best regional ridiculousness. Along the way, we tackle Midwest pride, Pacific Northwest rain superiority, Starbucks and T-Mobile empires, and even the truth about why singing the ABCs won’t save you from Midwest politeness. So grab your casseroles and coffee cups — because this isn’t just a debate. This is a geographically inconvenient grudge match for the ages. Wed, 29 Oct 2025 - 257 - EP 219: Deep in the Bowels of Halloween
It’s the Live, Laugh, Larceny Halloween special, and we’re celebrating spooky season by getting down and dirty — deep in the bowels of October. This week, Trevin faces a full-blown Halloween dilemma after realizing spiders are the only creature he likes less when they have a big butt. Because, really — anything that plump and poisonous can’t be trusted. Meanwhile, Amanda’s questioning her life choices after watching the Is It Cake? Halloween special and realizing that hobbyists are somehow better at everything than she is. Our game this week is a frightful All Hallow’s Eve edition of This or That, where Amanda forces Trevin to choose between the true terrors of October: slasher films or psychological horror? Cute or scary costumes? Carve or paint your pumpkins? Foggy nights or full moons? Scream franchise or Halloween classics? We’re tackling every haunted dilemma that defines the season. For storytime, Amanda shares the eerie tale of Shannon Dennis and Tina Jamarillo of Barstow, California — two women who let the Halloween spirit possess them a little too much. After police receive reports of a dead body in the desert, these grown adults might just end up looking like real dummies. Trevin’s story opens with a nomination for the scariest Halloween costume ever: a suit. In a chillingly relatable tale of corporate America, capitalism, and existential dread, meet Bo Whitener, a Georgia man working for McKesson’s pharmaceutical distribution center. When a massive CEO pension check lands in the wrong hands, Bo decides to dress up as the big boss himself for the company Halloween party — a move that might earn him a police call, a suspension, or a long interrogation by a middle manager. Beyond the usual Halloween tropes, today’s episode ties together Spirit Halloween, candy corn, and — most importantly — bowels. Put on your waterproof boots and light your jack-o’-lanterns, because this true petty crime and comedy podcast special dives deep — uncomfortably deep — into the bowels of spooky season. Thu, 23 Oct 2025 - 256 - EP 218: A Backdrop of Bros
Get ready for male camaraderie, frat culture, and team sports gone wild—because this week on Live, Laugh, Larceny, we’re surrounded by bros! Trevin’s week starts with a petty mystery straight out of his own phone history, as someone in Kansas City keeps using his number for real estate and house rental applications. Can the true culprit finally be found, or will this housing hustle haunt him forever? Amanda’s parenting dilemma hits close to home when she realizes her daughter has mistaken her for a climbing gym and shoulder parrot. It’s all about teaching kids boundaries, with the usual mix of deadpan humor and relatable chaos. In Two Truths and a Lie, Trevin goes dark with a game inspired by The Death of Stalin (IFC Films). Taking a spin through modern-day dictatorships, he delivers unbelievable headlines involving Vladimir Putin, Nicolás Maduro, and Kim Jong Un—and challenges listeners to spot the fake authoritarian headline in this nightmare blunt rotation of global leaders. Amanda balances things out with a cozy fall-themed Two Truths and a Lie about pumpkins, pie, and pumpkin-spice trivia. From the world’s largest pumpkin pie record to the debate over whether pumpkins are fruit or vegetable, Amanda brings seasonal chaos and a sprinkle of millennial meltdown. Then, for Storytime, Trevin blends dark comedy and social commentary in a story inspired by the upcoming Zach Cregger movie, Weapons. Based on the arrest of Charles Burgess, this satire dives into viral trends, toxic masculinity, and the absurdity of modern internet culture. What happens when an Ohio auto shop owner gets tangled in a Bitcoin knockoff modeled after a green dildo? Add in a 12-year-old girl, the WNBA, and a case of online hysteria—and you’ve got one unhinged headline that could only happen in 2025. Amanda closes things out by revisiting one of CrimeCon’s favorite petty crimes: public urination. She shares a college party story that starts with beer and bad decisions and ends with a truly embarrassing bathroom emergency—because sometimes petty crime hits way too close to home. This week’s theme ties it all together: bros everywhere. From frat parties to dictatorships, this episode proves that toxic masculinity and petty behavior go hand in hand—and we’re here to laugh about it. 🎙️ Live, Laugh, Larceny — where true crime meets absurdity, and every petty criminal deserves their punchline. Spooky season is officially here, and Live, Laugh, Larceny is summoning some eerie sound design magic! 🎃 This week, Trevin and Amanda team up with Meredith from the acclaimed storytelling podcast Rattled & Shook for a Halloween crossover filled with petty dilemmas, iconic movie moments, and sound-fueled chaos. The trio kicks things off with their dreadful dilemmas: 🛻 Trevin’s patience is tested when a semi-truck driver street parks his giant rig in front of his house. 👗 Amanda scrambles to find the perfect outfit for the crew’s night out to see Chappell Roan in Kansas City. 🎭 Meredith is torn between what kind of Halloween party to throw—and who she wants to be when the night arrives. Then, the real fun begins with a brand-new game made just for this crossover: Rattled Reenactments. In this cinematic showdown, Trevin and Amanda perform dramatic, deadpan recreations of famous spooky movie lines while Meredith tries to guess the source. Expect everything from gothic family films and nostalgic Disney Channel classics to witchy rom-coms and ‘90s slashers. There’s a lesson in supernatural driving laws, a ghost who’s a little too transparent, and somehow, an education on what “yabbos” are — courtesy of a so-called children’s movie. Let’s just say… these reenactments get delightfully weird. Along the way, the crew celebrates Tim Burton’s twisted imagination, vampires in the suburbs, and the joy of adults playing pretend when spooky season rolls around. (Also, did anyone actually watch all the Halloweentown sequels? We need answers.) To wrap things up, Meredith shares a hilariously awkward petty crime story from her college days — featuring a fake ID, an unexpected run-in, and a healthy dose of secondhand embarrassment. If you love Halloween nostalgia, absurd comedy, and true petty crime storytelling, this episode is your treat (no tricks). Tune in and see if you can out-guess Meredith in this eerie, laugh-filled game of cinematic chaos! 👻 Follow and listen to Rattled & Shook at https://www.rattledandshook.com Join our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/livelaughlarcenydoomedcrew For ad-free episodes and lots of other bonus content, join our Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/LiveLaughLarceny Check out our website: Here Follow us on Instagram: Here Follow us on Facebook: Here Follow us on TikTok: Here If you have a crime you'd like to hear on our show OR have a personal petty story, email us at livelaughlarceny@gmail.com or send us a DM on any of our socials! Welcome to Paraween, presented by the ParaPods Network! This Halloween, Amanda’s been host-snatched—spirited away to the And That’s Why We Drink feed for some haunting hijinks. In her chair this week sits Jethro Gilligan Toth, co-host of Box of Oddities, joining Trevin for a truly bone-chilling petty crime deep dive. Together, they unravel the bizarre rise of the 12-foot Home Depot Skeleton — from its spooky origins and DIY folklore roots, to the crime wave of skeleton thefts that swept the suburbs. You’ll hear about Skellynappers, HOA horror stories, out-of-season skeleton displays, and neighbors turned vigilantes. It’s a tale of Halloween capitalism, petty vandalism, and the unbreakable spirit of spooky season. But between all the bones and bad behavior, Trevin and Jethro find something even stranger — friendship. From bragging about their wives to bonding over their shared fascination with death, the two discover they might just be soulmates from the same crypt. Wed, 01 Oct 2025 - 253 - Remembering Mabel
⚠️ Trigger Warning: Pet Loss & Grief This is not a regular episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny. This special bonus is a raw and emotional conversation recorded for Trevin’s own expression and healing following the loss of his beloved dog, Mabel. ❤️ If you would prefer to simply read the written eulogy, you can visit: https://www.livelaughlarceny.com/post/remembering-mabel In this candid conversation, Trevin opens up to Amanda about the heartbreaking day he lost Mabel — sharing the difficult details of how an accident led to her passing, and the complex grief that follows when you know something wasn’t your fault, but still feels like your responsibility. Together, Trevin and Amanda explore the heavy mix of guilt, love, and memory that comes with loss — and how healing often means allowing both truth and tenderness to coexist. After opening up about his struggles and leaning on his community for support, Trevin and Amanda reflect on their favorite memories with Mabel, the joy she brought into their lives, and the lighthearted moments they shared — including funny parody plans Trevin once dreamed up for her. The episode closes with Trevin reading the Remembering Mabel eulogy post, honoring the legacy of a dog who became a part of the show, and a part of so many hearts. Learn more about your ad choices. Mon, 29 Sep 2025 - 252 - EP 216: Crime Con Confessions (Feat. Heather Ashley of Big Mad True Crime)
Grab your oven mitts, because the tea is scalding! At CrimeCon 2025 in Denver, Colorado, we set up our first-ever Petty Crime Confession Box—and true crime fans did not hold back. From public urination to accidental shoplifting to church scandals that would make your grandma blush, the confessions poured in, giving us a hilarious and bizarre glimpse into the “life of petty crime.” We’re joined by special guest Heather Ashley, host of Big Mad True Crime and a Violent Crime Intelligence & Reduction Specialist, who brings her own sharp (and funny) perspective to the chaos. With her long-time CrimeCon experience, Heather wanted to see exactly what her people have been hiding… and let’s just say: the answers did not disappoint. But first, Trevin shares his “dreadful dilemma” of experiencing a Twilight Zone-style déjà vu in Estes Park, where every single stranger looked familiar. Amanda talks about surviving a post-convention breakdown—literally—when her car died in traffic as strangers yelled for her to move it. And Heather brings her own gut-wrenching dilemma, courtesy of some very spicy “frog salsa.” Then it’s on to the confessions themselves—35 handwritten stories of crimes big and small, read aloud for the first time. You’ll hear about: YouTuber & Podcaster, CC Suarez's revenge pee that got her expelled from boarding school The rise of a vandal tagger using the mark of buff Garfield (yes, the cat) A bracelet stolen in Myrtle Beach by accident A church hookup so awkward even the cops had to laugh Fans who can’t stop stealing pint glasses and Taco Bell drive-thru drama And confessions of guilt over things that weren’t even crimes in the first place From petty theft to accidental indecency, public urination at CrimeCon to mealworm mischief at Walmart, this episode proves that true crime fans know crime best. Whether funny, relatable, or straight-up unholy, these confessions remind us that everyone has a skeleton or two in their closet. So grab your magnifying glass, put on your detective cap, and speculate wildly with us—because nothing bonds true crime fans like a good petty confession. Wed, 24 Sep 2025 - 251 - EP 215: My Conscience Made Me Do It
The inner voices are back, and they’re telling you not to miss this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny! This week, Trevin’s nostalgia gets wrecked as he finally sits down to watch the Netflix sequel Happy Gilmore 2. From awkward sports switches to overcomplicating every scene, not even Bad Bunny can save this mess of a movie. Expect comedic movie commentary and cringe-worthy pop culture takes. Amanda shares a back-to-school dilemma featuring her daughter Lyla, who’s bravely ready to ride the bus… while Amanda is the one secretly terrified to let her go. Between parenting fears, first-day-of-school jitters, and navigating mom guilt, Amanda turns to Trevin for advice. With a little help from friends (and his trademark deadpan wisdom), she may just find the solution to this relatable mom-life crisis. Amanda kicks off trivia with a question about a canceled mascot from days gone by. Was it a fighting pickle, a Nittany Lion, or a banana slug? One of these “losers” might just be a winner. Then Trevin brings a current events trivia story from Japan, where McDonald’s food was abandoned in stores and littered on the streets—blame Pokémon, contamination, or a viral social media challenge? For the main stories, Amanda shares the villain origin story of Chuck E. Cheese, following 41-year-old Jermel Jones from Tallahassee, Florida, who feels the spirit of a mascot possess him at work—turning him into a literal rat. Trevin follows with a tale of adult mom guilt, adultery, and spicy family drama from Bangladesh. Rasheda Begum, her daughter-in-law Tahmina, and Imran discover a dirty family secret about her son Kamruzzaman Imon, leading to a bombshell phone call that will make you say, “Whoa… petty, but iconic.” Both stories are tied together by determined mothers, inner voices, and the mischievous impulses that make us do things we probably shouldn’t. Today’s Stories: The Villain Origin Story of Chuck E. Cheese Mom Guilt and the Dirty Secret 🎧 Perfect for true crime comedy lovers, fans of petty crimes, weird news, viral stories, and family drama gone wrong. Wed, 17 Sep 2025 - 250 - PETTY REWIND - EP 144: Surprise Justice
Hey everyone! Crime Con wiped us out and kept me from getting an episode out this week. Please enjoy this revisiting of Surprise Justice. New episode next week! Who’s ready for a petty surprise? This week on Live, Laugh, Larceny: A True Petty Crime Podcast, the crew is back with more dumb criminal stories, bizarre dilemmas, and a round of Would You Rather that gets hilariously out of control. Trevin kicks things off with a dilemma inspired by too much Succession. After binge-watching the hit HBO series, every casual conversation suddenly feels like a high-stakes corporate power play. Is everyone plotting to betray him, or is this just a side effect of prestige TV obsession? Meanwhile, Amanda faces a dilemma of her own: she receives a sweet and thoughtful text from her husband… only to later discover he sent it because he thought he might actually die at work. Romantic or terrifying? You decide. For Would You Rather, Amanda pulls from Mirror.co.uk’s “10 Absolutely Diabolical Would You Rathers That Will Haunt You For Days.” Would you rather get caught watching porn in the office or accidentally send a rude email about your boss… to your boss? Trevin, on the other hand, dives deep into Reddit with a question guaranteed to ruin your mental images of the human body: would you rather have a horizontal buttcrack or a vertical mouth? Get ready for absurd logistics about stairs, redesigned toilets, and how a vertical jaw would even function. Then it’s on to storytime, where petty crimes and surprise justice take center stage: The Danger in Our Surroundings – Amanda tells the story of 21-year-old Stephen Daniel of Snellville, Georgia, who was hanging around a QuikTrip gas station looking for a ride. Unfortunately for him, Officer B.W. Brown might be the only one to “offer” any kind of transportation. Haters on the Road to Glory – Trevin covers Jessica Curs, a 4th-grade girls’ basketball coach in Burleson, Texas. Her undefeated season was threatened when heckler Gary Melson disrupted her championship game. But when police show up, nobody is a winner. From gas station arrests to police-backed game-day surprises, this episode is full of petty criminals, strange justice, and plenty of laughs. Wed, 10 Sep 2025 - 249 - EP 214: Essence of Ass (Feat. Kelli Brink)
It’s almost time for CrimeCon 2025, and we’re kicking things off with a wild episode featuring Kelli Brink from True Crime Sleep Stories and Missing Persons Archives! This week, we’re talking weird true crime stories, paranormal encounters, and bizarre news that only Live, Laugh, Larceny can deliver. Kelli joins Trevin and Amanda to share the only crime she’s ever committed, a sasquatch sighting, and what it’s like attending true crime conventions with the LLL crew. In our relatable dilemmas, Trevin confesses his year-long obsession with Grape-Nuts cereal—high fiber, low cool factor. Amanda recounts a wild public brawl at the zoo (and yes, there’s video this time). Kelli brings a chilling camping story that takes a creepy turn thanks to a paranormal-sounding noise in the woods. Then, Amanda shares a fascinating sleep fact before we dive into this week’s bizarre crime headlines, including:✔ Calese Carron Crowder, California’s notorious serial butt-sniffer✔ A toddler in India who bit a cobra to death✔ A real-life cat burglar stealing underwear✔ Richard Overton’s legendary lawsuit against Anheuser-Busch for false advertising And yes—we’re sniffing out the details on why the butt-sniffer case might be one of the strangest (and funniest) crimes ever. 📞 Ring ring! This week on Live, Laugh, Larceny, you're receiving a collect call… from a petty criminal. Trevin dives into the modern dilemmas of content creation, exploring how social media platforms restrict features to certain formats. Meanwhile, Amanda is completely obsessed with the viral Netflix sensation K-Pop Demon Hunters, singing its catchy songs everywhere she goes. In Top 5 segments, Trevin explores the history of the telephone, ranking the Top 5 Most Important Phone Calls in history—including Alexander Graham Bell, Queen Elizabeth II, Richard Nixon, and Bill Gates—with transcripts and surprising insights. Amanda follows up with her Top 5 Most Bizarre Piercings, inspired by her recent trip to get her girls’ ears pierced. Some of these piercings might just tempt you! For our true crime stories, Trevin examines the sinister side of phone calls, introducing the unforgettable case of Karen Clinton, a 67-year-old retiree from Twinsburg, Ohio, whose police call escalates in unexpected ways. Amanda shares a relatable yet chaotic story about identity theft anxiety: Applebee’s waitress Brianna Priddy loses her ID after a shift, triggering panic and a chain of unfortunate events. So, put your phone on silent and tune in—these petty crimes, unusual stories, and absurd misadventures are the only calls worth answering. Wed, 20 Aug 2025 - 246 - EP 211: Viva La Overreaction
Two petty crimes. Zero chill. And reactions so bad, they’d make Coldplay blush. This week, Amanda drops by before her second vacation in two weeks—and Trevin has his own vacation drama to share. His first time riding a bike as an adult turns into a near panic attack in a quaint ocean community, while Amanda faces a Beaver Lake, Arkansas dilemma when her husband’s massive truck can’t conquer the rocky terrain of a pebble beach. In Killer Facts, Amanda digs up a bizarre audio mystery from 1997: “The Bloop.” This ultra-low-frequency, high-amplitude underwater sound had scientists speculating about a giant sea creature… but the real answer is far less thrilling—and way more depressing. Trevin, meanwhile, finds fashion trends in the most unexpected place: captive chimps. From grass-in-ear accessories to sticking a blade somewhere it definitely shouldn’t go, these primates are setting wild new style standards. Amanda also retells a viral scandal you think you know—the Coldplay kiss-cam controversy at Gillette Stadium. Astronomer CEO Andy Byron’s very public moment with Kristen Cabot sent shockwaves through social media, and Amanda serves up the drama with her own twist. Trevin closes the episode with the poetic (and chaotic) saga of Florida woman Cynthia Sosa, a chicken in the road, road rage, and a can of bear mace. When Sosa crosses paths with Perla DeMiller, bad decisions are inevitable. Both stories are tied together by unexpected reactions, petty crimes, and a flair for the dramatic. So underthink, overreact, and join us for two tales where making it worse is half the fun. Today’s petty crime stories: Caught with Your Pants Down Why Did the Chicken Cross the Road? Wed, 13 Aug 2025 - 245 - EP 210: Gone with the Window
Frankly, my dear, you will give a damn about these crimes—because this week, we’re taking a petty look through the ultimate portal to chaos: windows. Trevin kicks things off with a romantic thrift store date gone wrong. What begins as a sweet hunt for house shorts quickly unravels when he discovers none of them come with pockets. Meanwhile, Amanda visits the brand new stadium for the KC Current—America’s first stadium built exclusively for women’s sports—only to be betrayed (again) by her husband’s antics when the Smile Cam hits. In this week’s Would You Rather? Trevin gets topical with a dystopian choice: Would you rather be the mouthpiece for government propaganda, or be paid to stay silent about the Epstein Files—while everyone knows you know? Amanda brings the body horror, asking: Would you rather have one enormous visible tooth… or over 50 secret teeth buried in your jaw? Then it's on to the true petty crime stories, where things get destructive. Trevin shares the story of Dale W. Hamit, a 60-year-old man from Springfield, Missouri, whose obsession with Crocs footwear ends in a gas station drive-thru... but not the kind with food. Amanda tells the fiery tale of Dr. Leopold Weinstein, a dentist from Camarillo, California, who may or may not have tried to burn down a building. Is it frustration with insurance companies, or just early retirement by way of felony arson? These two men may have never met, but their crimes are united by broken windows and building destruction. So roll down the windows and let in the fresh air—this week’s stories bring the windowpane. 🦶 Today’s petty crimes: Proper Footwear for Doing Bad A Burning Passion for Dentistry Join our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/livelaughlarcenydoomedcrew For ad-free episodes and lots of other bonus content, join our Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/LiveLaughLarceny Check out our website: Here Follow us on Instagram: Here Follow us on Facebook: Here Follow us on TikTok: Here If you have a crime you'd like to hear on our show OR have a personal petty story, email us at livelaughlarceny@gmail.com or send us a DM on any of our socials! Wed, 06 Aug 2025 - 244 - PETTY REWIND - EP 122: Crime on a Biblical Level
✝️ Petty sins. Sacred nonsense. Divine dumbness. Scripture says, “The meek shall inherit the earth.” But what about the petty? This week’s episode is holy, hilarious, and downright criminal. Trevin kicks things off with a revelation—after witnessing some Facebook drama with record-breaking engagement, he believes he’s unlocked the future of marketing. His plea? If you're about to start an online feud, plug the podcast while you’re at it. #BlessedAndBoosted Amanda’s Dreadful Dilemma involves planning her next murder mystery party. She opened the floor to a vote between two themes—‘80s and Freak Show—but it ended in a tie. She's accepting divine intervention or your input. In Two Truths and a Lie, Amanda confesses to two criminal acts—leaving one unclaimed. Has she ever: Publicly urinated? Called a cop a pussy? Or had an attractive mugshot? Trevin takes a turn with Barbie-themed trivia, inspired by the movie. Is it true that: Barbie’s yellow lab Tiffany was discontinued after tragedy? Barbie was based on a pornographic doll? Barbie once came with a diet book titled Don’t Eat? Then, for story time: 🙏 Amanda covers the case of Colleen Okeson, a 62-year-old church administrative assistant in Arlington, WA, who forged checks from her Methodist church—and blamed it all on Satan. 🐹 Trevin tells the tale of a 12-year-old Florida boy (dubbed Tim Schitz) who wanted TikTok fame so badly, he kidnapped Coconut—a guinea pig beloved by students at Tree House Episcopal Montessori. Yes, a church-school guinea pig heist for the clout. Two crimes. Both committed on sacred ground. Crime on a Biblical Level is more than a catchy title—it’s a petty sermon you won’t want to miss. 🔊 Hit play. Hallelujah. Wed, 30 Jul 2025 - 243 - EP 209: Beat the Heat, Catch a Case
Come to cool down… stay for the assaults. The dog days of summer are here, and things are heating up in more ways than one. This week, Trevin confronts his latest identity crisis: reacting to danger with an involuntary, excited “Woo!” From unexpected collisions to genuine fear, his inner panic keeps getting mislabeled as party energy. He's not a "Woo girl"—he's a deeply confused Woo boy. Amanda dives into a petty domestic dilemma: throwing her first backyard barbecue at the new house… with zero help from her husband. The convo turns into a reflection on her home’s party-hosting potential—and the convenience (and chaos) of living next door to her parents. For Trivia, Amanda shares a heroic animal tale from WWII featuring Juliana the Great Dane. But what exactly earned this brave pup a Blue Cross Medal—did she stop a bomb, aid a soldier, or cause a ceasefire? Meanwhile, Trevin brings corporate chaos, asking: Which household brand secretly built spy electronics, a deep-sea sub, and a balloon surveillance system? In Story Time, both crimes center around one theme: beating the heat—through bad decisions, petty drama, and watery weapons. Amanda’s story follows Kylee Edwards and friends as they head to a Buffalo Wild Wings in Fogwood, Mississippi to watch a UFC fight. But the real brawl isn’t on the screen—it’s in the booths. Things escalate fast, from food indecision to full-blown chaos. Trevin shares a tale of suburban summer gone wrong. During a backyard cookout in Simcoe, Ontario, Wendy Washik ends up arrested after a squirt gun skirmish with neighbor Sheehan Rochester turns into an actual assault. Who knew water guns, lawn mowers, and unspoken beef could make the evening news? In the Summer of 2025, it’s not just the temperatures getting violent. Wed, 23 Jul 2025 - 242 - EP 208: ADHDeez Nuts!
What do a fresh ADHD diagnosis, dinosaur sound effects, and unexpected genitals have in common? Apparently, everything. This week, Trevin opens up with a personal dilemma and mental health update that trades dread for clarity—offering an honest look into the wild world of adult ADHD. Meanwhile, Amanda revisits her favorite chaotic segment: children's books with sound effects. Her newest prop? A prehistoric button-masher that may give our infamous donkey book a run for its money. The duo then dives into another chaotic round of Top 5. Trevin counts down the Top 5 Most Bizarre Actor Contract Clauses, featuring high-maintenance Hollywood legends like Vin Diesel, George Clooney, and Barbra Streisand. Amanda counters with a nostalgic trip into her childhood obsession with pharmaceutical ads, ranking Five of the Worst Prescription Drug Recalls in History—because who doesn't love a little mayhem in the medicine cabinet? In story time, Trevin revives the theme of terrible excuses with a fresh petty crime tale set at Tom Husband Leisure Centre in Salford. Will 60-year-old Xin Zhang break a sweat at the gym—or just make things weird in the sauna? Either way, his explanation is... something. Amanda’s story starts with the original bad decision: eating the forbidden fruit. But this apple-heavy story leads to a real-life skinny-dipping crime off the coast of Massachusetts, starring Zachary Tomko, Holly O’Neil, and a bold disregard for pants. Apples, nudity, and cold water—what could go wrong? Shockingly, both crimes share an unexpected theme: surprise genitals. From medical revelations to beachside shenanigans, there's no escaping ADHDeez Nuts. Wed, 16 Jul 2025 - 241 - PETTY REWIND - EP 127: The Employee Handbook of Criminality
Trevin is using his vacation card this week to get episodes ready before his week off. Have a great week, and enjoy this classic petty rewind. If you haven't checked out our 4th of July special episode, definitely go back to that. We're pretty proud of those stories. Clock in and prepare to feel trapped for the next eight hours—because this week, we’re heading to work in the most unprofessional ways possible. Amanda kicks things off with a Dreadful Dilemma about surviving the back-to-school grind, navigating chaotic drop-off lines that resemble a well-rehearsed drive-thru ballet. Meanwhile, Trevin’s stuck designing a Crime Con sticker for his first live appearance and spiraling into a branding-induced crisis. For Killer Facts, Amanda breaks down the notorious Tent City Jail in Arizona—a controversial outdoor prison under Sheriff Joe Arpaio that’s somehow too harsh for actual criminals. Trevin, inspired by a recent Oppenheimer watch, dives deep into the explosive history of the Tsar Bomba, the biggest nuclear detonation ever unleashed by humankind (spoiler: it was a lot more than fireworks). Then it’s story time, and today’s theme is “bad employees doing worse things.” In Trevin’s Breaking Bad-inspired tale, Christopher Adam Matous and Kent Jerome Duby, two Taco Bell workers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, cook up more than crunchwraps—they’re caught running a meth lab in the kitchen. Amanda shares the story of Susan Navarette Rodriguez, a 32-year-old Florida mom who decided the school drop-off line was the perfect time for a hit-and-run… on Officer Michael Hernandez. Whether you’ve worked fast food, survived school traffic, or just love watching workplace disasters from a safe distance, this episode is your petty criminal employee orientation. Wed, 09 Jul 2025 - 240 - EP 207: America is Burning
It’s our Fourth of July special, and we’re celebrating the star-spangled stupidity that makes America so uniquely… itself. This week, Trevin opens up about his personal struggles with 2025, leading to an honest and heartfelt conversation about mental health, burnout, and the complicated relationship many of us have with our country. Amanda brings a classic summer dilemma after taking her family to the public pool—where heat, chaos, and slippery surfaces turn a fun outing into a logistical nightmare. In our killer facts segment, Amanda puts her new diamond knowledge to use with a deep dive into the curse of the Hope Diamond and the trail of misfortune it’s said to leave behind. Meanwhile, Trevin spotlights one of the most stomach-churning facts we’ve ever featured, focusing on a bizarre and disturbing chapter of American history with Stubbins Ffirth—a man whose dedication to science went a little too far. Then it’s time for our petty crime stories, both tied to the Fourth of July and the theme of arson. Amanda brings what may be Live, Laugh, Larceny’s first truly traditional Independence Day tale, featuring fireworks, small-town chaos, and a search for the celebratory culprits in Santa Clarita. Trevin rounds things out with the story of Brianna Baird, a woman from Bussey, Iowa, whose drug-fueled night of political rage led to a fiery spree involving multiple stolen American flags. Whether you're celebrating, questioning the system, or just here for some explosive pettiness, this episode is a blazing tribute to the weirdest parts of American independence. Wed, 02 Jul 2025 - 239 - EP 206: Wheels of Injustice
The wheels of injustice go 'round and 'round — and this week’s petty crimes may just leave you spinning. Trevin starts things off with an embarrassing encounter at a massage parlor, where a deep tissue session brings him to his knees (literally), complete with a defeated wimpy voice and all. Meanwhile, Amanda battles another medical misadventure, as a sudden fainting spell leaves her bruised, swollen, and understandably over it. In Two Truths and a Lie, Trevin shoots for the stars with space-themed trivia. Discover how astronauts clean their clothes in orbit, what changes NASA made for women, and which U.S. state is weirdly overrepresented among people who leave the planet. Amanda follows up with a mole-themed investigation — inspired by her father’s latest nemesis. Are moles venomous to earthworms? How fast do they dig? And what do their underground love lives look like? It’s rodent romance and dirt facts galore. Then, we roll into this week’s petty crime stories — where both cases involve criminals on wheels. 🚗 Trevin's Story takes us to Davenport, Florida, where Elijah Mills is caught using a stolen rental car to drive for Uber. Desperate to keep making money (and keep driving), Elijah’s logic is as bold as it is baffling. But will two British newlyweds throw a wrench in his rolling hustle? 🛒 Amanda's Story introduces us to two grumpy men in Rochelle Park, New Jersey — Hector Cortez and Alfredo Rodriguez — and their unlikely loot: stolen shopping carts. This ShopRite saga rolls through petty theft, old-man drama, and a manager who loves his store. With crimes on wheels, there’s no telling where they’ll take you — but trust us, it’s nowhere good. 🛞 Today’s Stories:• Elijah’s Foolproof Plan• Put the Cart Before the Conviction Join our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/livelaughlarcenydoomedcrew For ad-free episodes and lots of other bonus content, join our Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/LiveLaughLarceny Check out our website: Here Follow us on Instagram: Here Follow us on Facebook: Here Follow us on TikTok: Here If you have a crime you'd like to hear on our show OR have a personal petty story, email us at livelaughlarceny@gmail.com or send us a DM on any of our socials! Wed, 18 Jun 2025 - 237 - EP 205: Sauced & Tossed... In Jail
A petty crime podcast episode filled with food, fast food sauce nostalgia, and chaotic appetites. Pull up a chair and prepare your palate—because the Saucy Queens, Trevin and Amanda, have a reservation for crime, and you're on the guest list. This week, Trevin finally tracks down the elusive salad that haunted him last year—only to discover its spicy vengeance leaves him sweating bullets. Meanwhile, Amanda recounts a recent dining disaster in what can only be described as Diary of a Wimpy Amanda. The duo dives into a flavorful conversation about discontinued fast food sauces that are now collector's items. From Taco Bell’s Fire Roasted, to McDonald’s Szechuan, and Wendy’s S’awesome Sauce, this nostalgic deep-dip delivers a taste of the past. Trevin also explores the surprisingly petty world of drunk bees with insights from the article, Why Bees Get Buzzed—and poses the question: what happens when you arrive at the hive tipsy? This week’s petty crime stories are as saucy as ever: 🍟 Amanda heads to Seattle where Dippin’ Dan just wants his Taco Time fix—but when the meal arrives dry, things get desperate.🍎 Trevin introduces us to Shawneesha Cobbs, a woman trying to turn her life around... one Applebee’s All-You-Can-Eat special at a time. Both tales are drenched in food, sauce, and low-stakes chaos, making this episode a true feast of criminal proportions. So grab a snack, maybe a dipping sauce or two, and join us for another hilariously unhinged serving of Live, Laugh, Larceny. Today's Stories: It's Taco Time! Wed, 11 Jun 2025 - 236 - EP 204: Criminal Communities
This week, we're exploring the fine line between neighborly and nefarious. Because sure, community is important—but not all of them are worth joining. Trevin is feeling the heat of summer, or as he calls it, Body Dysmorphia Season. In a rare moment of vulnerability, he opens up about the struggle of connecting to his body in a world that won’t stop looking. Meanwhile, Amanda returns with a major life update, packed with dilemmas. New house? New job? New levels of chaos? Check, check, and check. In Killer Facts, Trevin dives into the Bayeux Tapestry—a medieval embroidery depicting the Norman Conquest of England in 1066. That leads to the latest game round of Dong or Dagger?, because of course it does. Amanda shares a jaw-dropping fact from Ripley's Believe It or Not involving authentic vampire-killing kits—and maybe discovers a new merch opportunity for the show. For stories, Trevin travels to the unincorporated neighborhood of Silverthorne, Colorado, where one resident is being repeatedly targeted... with bags of dog poop. A petty crime? Yes. A whodunit? Absolutely. Call it a turder mystery. Then Amanda takes us to Joliet, Illinois, where a man named Clifton Williams gets himself into trouble over one unfortunate courtroom sound. Is Judge Daniel Rozak dishing out justice—or just making people afraid to breathe? This case is not a yawn-fest. Take a break from the heavy and get petty—because this week, we’re placing you right in the middle of some truly criminal communities. Wed, 04 Jun 2025 - 235 - PETTY REWIND - EP 149: Dial M for Mischief
Things get a little too mischievous this week on Live, Laugh, Larceny! Trevin can’t stop wasting pineapple—despite his best efforts—and Amanda's already slapping mosquitoes in March. Are we sure summer didn't skip spring? The crew plays a wild round of Two Truths and a Lie: Trevin goes full Animal Planet with facts about quokkas, capybaras, and honey badgers, while Amanda brings props and Pop Rocks to test Trevin’s sweet tooth and smarts. Then it’s time for storytime, where the crimes may be labeled “mischief,” but the drama goes way deeper. 🕰️ Antiques and the Empty Man – Trevin shares the tale of 60-year-old Mitchell Vest, a man trying to fill the void in his soul—with antiques. 🧱 If These Walls Could Talk – Amanda uncovers the strange case of two new homeowners who discover something horrifying behind the drywall, leading to the arrests of Lawrence L'Heureux and Giovanni Weaver in Cape Coral, Florida. Whether you're here for weird animal facts, petty criminal drama, or pineapple waste rage, this episode delivers. Bring on the mischief—because after this one, you'll feel full in the weirdest ways. Wed, 28 May 2025 - 234 - EP 203: The Roundtable of Weird (Feat. Weird True Crime)
Things are getting weird this week—and that’s saying something. We’re joined by the delightfully bizarre minds behind Weird True Crime for a very special guest episode. Together, we form the Roundtable of Weird, where strange dilemmas, dumb criminals, and questionable life choices are always on the menu. Trevin kicks things off with an existential crisis involving his life partner, ChatGPT. Is his unrelenting politeness costing the planet millions in server strain? Will he risk environmental ruin in the name of kindness? Meanwhile, Amanda escorts Lyla to her first karate competition, where she’s baffled by the tournament's poker-chip-based economy and baffling logistics. The Weird True Crime duo enters the chat with their own personal weirdness. Amber’s husband has become a walking billboard for his job, refusing to wear anything but his work uniform. Gina, on the other hand, keeps forgetting one crucial thing at the grocery store—salt. Weeks of underseasoned food have left her flavor-deprived and full of regret. Then it’s time for the main event: a four-person crime story showdown. Trevin and Amanda dig into petty crimes too short for a full episode, while the Weird True Crime crew brings us the finest dumb criminal tales straight outta Texas. You’ll hear about: Alex Van Duyn and the mysterious gifts from the Portland Pisser 83-year-old Lillie McClendon weaponizing sausage water A feathery vandal terrorizing Rockport, Massachusetts A mischievous dog embarking on a crime spree in McAllen, Texas Avante Nicholson’s drug-dealing Easter/420 promotion campaign Tamain Marquell Williams double-fisting a beer and coffee because he doesn’t have time for that Annamae Cabalsa Martinez calling AAA—during a high-speed police chase The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile getting a frank warning in Waukesha, Wisconsin There’s a whole lot of dumb, weird, and wonderful packed into this episode. But the real chaos begins when Jill hosts a trivia game inspired by some of the wildest facts ever featured on Well… That’s Interesting. Wed, 14 May 2025 - 232 - EP 201: The Magical World of Divorce
Hop on our flying carpet — today, we’re all Disney princesses (crowns optional). This week, Trevin is officially ordained and struggling to write a wedding speech that’s somehow harder than crafting petty crime stories. Meanwhile, Amanda’s mind is blown at Disney on Ice, where four-legged characters are skating their hearts out in front of her family. In trivia, Amanda dishes on a Disney princess with surprisingly few lines, while Trevin introduces us to Glynn “Scotty” Wolfe — the Guinness World Record holder for most marriages ever (yes, seriously). For storytime, Amanda pulls off a full Disney bingo with the arrest of Caleb Albers in Oklahoma City, just around a Disney on Ice tour stop, while Trevin dives deep into the drama of Angela and David Voelkert — a messy custody battle fueled by 2011 Facebook antics. Both stories feature perpetrators whose problems go far beyond their viral petty crimes. Get ready for an episode packed with childlike whimsy, unexpected gasps, and just the right amount of heartbreak. It’s true crime, comedy, Disney magic, and divorce chaos like you’ve never heard before. Wed, 07 May 2025 - 231 - PETTY REWIND - EP 137: Ballad of the Toilet Man
We will be back next week with a new episode. But for today, enjoy this special rewind of Ballad of the Toilet Man! 🎶 Sing it loud, sing it proud—for the Toilet Man, of course. It's Wednesday, which means it's time to raise your voice (and maybe a few eyebrows) for another round of petty crime storytelling! This week, Trevin finds himself literally singing the praises of the Toilet Man—with the window open, no less—treating the whole neighborhood to his musical breakdown. Meanwhile, Amanda is dealing with a new electricity billing plan so evil it has her family living in darkness like budget-conscious vampires. In Would You Rather, things get emotionally confusing. Trevin wants to know what would sting worse: being dumped for someone better in every way... or a crusty blow-up doll? Amanda keeps it physical, asking if you'd prefer eternal stubbed toes or a symphony of paper cuts. Then it’s on to this week’s stories: Love Letters From Prison – Trevin brings the tale of Carl Wayne McGraw Jr., a man with fake Facebooks, prison romance, and a unique spin on the revenge plot. Petty Crime is Afoot! – Amanda shares the journey of three Peruvian men, a whole lotta shoes, and not a single working brain cell between them. So grab your plungers and prepare your vocal cords. Wed, 23 Apr 2025 - 229 - EP 199: Lord of the Green: Conveyance of the Cannibus
It’s our annual 4/20 special, and we’re here to celebrate the one green to rule them all. This week, Trevin unknowingly ate the final Sweet-Tart, leaving his memory of the flavor as foggy as a college dorm on April 20th. Meanwhile, Amanda is dealing with a sunglasses situation that’s less cool and more cringe, as her husband insists on wearing novelty shades in public—unironically. In a very high-quality round of Two Truths and a Lie, Trevin delivers three weed-related celebrity claims involving Willie Nelson, Wesley Snipes, and Aerosmith. Amanda counters with her own... eclectic trio: Mark Zuckerberg, Carmen Electra, and yes—Hitler. Because nothing says “celebration” like controversial historical figures and Carmen in the same sentence. For storytime, Trevin takes us to a petty crime straight out of Middle-earth, featuring Paul Smith—New Zealand’s answer to Gandalf—who uses his business to bring a little relief to the Shire. Amanda shares a blazing new tale from Orlando, Florida, where trio Jimmy Andrial, Bianca Andrial, and Daniel McCreary take their weed delivery dreams mobile in a makeshift dispensary bus affectionately dubbed The Cannibus. Both stories are united by special deliveries and plenty of 4/20 spirit. So light up, kick back, and join us for another year of high holiday mischief that will leave you feeling J.R.R. TOKEN. Leave your ego—and your expectations—at the door, because this week’s episode is dedicated to the wonderfully weird women of the world.Trevin kicks things off with a very grown-up dilemma: finding a new primary care doctor. But when every promising option comes with a suspiciously bad review, will he ever make it past the search results? Meanwhile, Amanda finds herself once again participating in a children’s class—only this time, she’s teaching her daughter to sing… using song. Thu, 10 Apr 2025 - 227 - EP 197: Dude, Pirate Vibes
It’s a pirate’s life for us this week as we take our dumb criminal mischief to the seven seas. Trevin’s dreadful dilemma starts with his attempt to defend grape-flavored candy, only to realize that his entire perspective on fruit flavors might be completely off. Meanwhile, Amanda witnesses a first-grade music show gone wrong, where a tiny performer risks getting slapped off the risers by a much larger child standing beside her. For this week’s segment, we present our first “Would You Rather” of 2025. Trevin poses the impossible question: would you rather turn your life into a daily parenting blog or start every NFL season by singing the national anthem with an item up your butt? Amanda brings a moral dilemma from Papa Dennis, asking if it’s worse to help a guilty person go free or to punish an innocent person. For storytime, Trevin takes us aboard the Jamie Marie fishing boat, captained by 42-year-old Joshua Stedman. What starts as a bizarre maritime mission leaves us wondering—will he ever reach the mysterious Chinese mothership, or will he be doomed to remain stuck in the harbor? Amanda introduces us to the legend of Sandy Snakenberg, an ex-pro skateboarder turned Bubble Pirate whose mission is to spread joy, chaos, and bubbles to the children. But is he really a hero, or just another seafaring menace? From fruit flavor betrayals and elementary school disasters to nautical nonsense and unconventional piracy, this episode proves that petty adventure is always just over the horizon. Wed, 22 Jan 2025 - 216 - EP 187: An Honest Conversation About Masculinity
As part of our Dry January series—a month dedicated to breaking format and exploring the unexpected—we bring you a deeply raw and personal episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny. In An Honest Conversation About Masculinity, Trevin shares his intimate essay, My Life as a Little Girl, offering a vulnerable look at his lifelong struggles with societal expectations of manhood. From being labeled as “less than” for enjoying leisure activities to the subtle yet damaging pressures of growing up on a farm, Trevin reflects on how these moments shaped his understanding of masculinity. But this story isn’t just Trevin’s. In an open conversation with Amanda, the discussion broadens to reveal how these same dynamics play out in families today—even in homes that seem happy and loving. They explore how well-meaning parents can unintentionally reinforce harmful stereotypes, humanizing both sides of the relationship and uncovering the complexities of parent-child connections. This episode steps away from our usual lighthearted tone to tackle an issue that’s both deeply personal and culturally significant. If you’ve ever questioned the meaning of masculinity, witnessed its impact, or sought to understand how these challenges persist in modern families, this conversation will leave you thinking long after the episode ends.
