  • 426 - 3 Hours of God’s Promises

Rest through the night with three peaceful hours of God’s promises, softly read from the King James Bible with gentle music and calming nighttime ambience.

In this extended Through the Night episode of Sleepy Scriptures, we'll journey from Genesis to Revelation, resting with Scriptures about God's presence, faithfulness, protection, peace, comfort and eternal hope.

We begin with God's promises to Abraham, Moses and Joshua, before moving into some of the Psalms' most reassuring words of refuge and trust.

Through Isaiah and Jeremiah, we'll hear promises spoken to people living through uncertainty: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee,” and “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.”

As the night grows quieter, we'll turn to the words of Jesus, including His invitation to the weary, His assurance that our heavenly Father knows what we need, and His familiar words:

“Let not your heart be troubled.”

Later, passages from Romans, Corinthians, Philippians, Hebrews, Peter and John remind us that God is the God of all comfort, that we may cast our cares upon Him, and that nothing can separate us from His love.

Finally, our journey reaches Revelation 21 and 22, and Scripture's beautiful closing promise of a world made new.

There is no need to stay awake for all three hours. Get comfortable, listen for as long as you wish, and allow the Scripture, music and peaceful soundscape to continue as you drift into sleep.

  • 425 - Trust in the Lord — Scriptures for an Uncertain Night

When tomorrow feels uncertain, spend a peaceful hour resting in Scriptures about trust, courage and the faithful presence of God.

In this Scripture for Rest episode of Sleepy Scriptures, we'll listen to King James Bible passages chosen especially for those nights when questions about the future make it difficult to quiet the mind.

We begin with the familiar words of Proverbs 3: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.” From there, Psalms 20, 27, 37, 56 and 62 remind us to wait upon God, refuse to be ruled by fear, and rest quietly in His care.

In Isaiah 41 and 43, we'll hear God's repeated reassurance: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee,” and “I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.”

Later, Jesus speaks directly to our concern about tomorrow in Matthew 6, before Romans 8 reminds us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Our journey concludes with Hebrews 11, a chapter filled with people who lived by faith while promises were still unseen.

Soft music and peaceful nighttime ambience surround the readings, creating a quiet place to release the day's concerns and gradually fall asleep.

There is no need to stay awake until the end. Simply listen for as long as you wish, and let tomorrow wait until tomorrow.

  • 424 - The Story of Abraham — Called Into the Unknown | Bible Story for Sleep

Travel beneath the stars with Abraham in a peaceful King James Bible story about faith, promise and trusting God when the road ahead is still unknown.

In this Bible Stories for Sleep episode of Sleepy Scriptures, we begin in Genesis 12 as Abram receives an extraordinary call: to leave his country and journey toward a land that God will show him.

Across Genesis chapters 12–18, we’ll follow Abram through the land of Canaan, his separation from Lot, the rescue of his nephew, and the repeated promises that will shape the rest of his life.

We’ll stand with him beneath the night sky as God tells him to look toward the stars. We’ll hear God establish His covenant, change Abram’s name to Abraham, and renew the promise that Sarah will bear a son.

It is a story of travelling before the destination is fully known, waiting before the promise is fulfilled, and learning to trust God one step at a time.

Soft music and peaceful nighttime ambience surround the reading, creating a quiet place to unwind and gradually fall asleep.

There is no need to stay awake until the end. Simply listen for as long as you wish and allow the story to continue gently around you as you rest.

  • 423 - Genesis for Sleep — Beginnings, Faith and Promise | Peaceful KJV Bible Reading

Settle in for an extended journey through the book of Genesis, softly read from the King James Bible with gentle music and peaceful nighttime ambience.

In this Through the Night edition of Sleepy Scriptures, we'll travel through selected chapters from Genesis, following some of the great stories of beginnings, faith, promise and providence.

Our journey begins with creation and the garden of Eden, before moving forward to Noah and God's covenant following the flood.

Then we'll travel with Abraham, called to leave his homeland and trust a promise he could not yet see fulfilled. We'll follow that promise through Isaac and Jacob, including Jacob's dream at Bethel and his eventual reunion with Esau.

Finally, we'll spend much of the night with Joseph—from his early dreams and betrayal, through his years in Egypt, to forgiveness, reunion and the final blessings that bring the book of Genesis toward its close.

These are selected passages rather than a complete reading of all fifty chapters, woven together as one peaceful nighttime journey through the central stories of Genesis.

There is no need to stay awake until the end. Get comfortable, listen for as long as you wish, and allow the Scripture, soft music and gentle ambience to continue as you drift into sleep.
