ABOUT TONIGHT’S EPISODE

Almost everything in the CARET documents was already public before 2007.

Roswell’s marked beams had been in print since 1980. Alien technology quietly seeded into industry had been a bestseller since 1997. Seamless craft, gradual disclosure, symbols that act rather than describe—a science-fiction magazine ran that last one in 1956.

But three things I couldn’t find anywhere. And three residues, out of an entire mythology, is a strange amount to be left holding.

So tonight, we read the specification cold. We look at what the programme said it was for, at an object a foot long that has no controls anywhere on it, and at five pages of diagrams that were the only part of the package nobody bothered to censor. Then we hold all of it up against the photographs and ask whether it fits.

I won’t be telling you the answer, because I don’t have one. But I’ll tell you exactly where I got stuck.

In September 2025, I travelled from the UK to Washington, D.C. to attend the UAP Transparency Hearing.

In this first part of our deep dive, we explore one of the most quietly unsettling cases in the history of ufology: The Rendlesham Forest Incident.

Over the course of several nights in December 1980, strange lights appeared in the forests of Suffolk, England. U.S. military personnel stationed at RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters found themselves face-to-face with something that has never been explained, and for some of them, the encounter would follow them for the rest of their lives.

Tonight, we carefully walk through the testimonies of three men involved, Colonel Charles Halt, John Burroughs, and Jim Penniston. Tonight we attempt to piece together a story filled with conflicting accounts, missing time, classified files, and strange messages written in binary code.
