About Rep. Self:Keith Self was born in a military hospital during his father’s service in the United States Army and was raised in Texas.  After graduation from High School in Amarillo, he accepted an appointment to The United States Military Academy at West Point, where he began a 25-year career of service to our country.

Keith’s Army tours included Airborne Infantry Platoon Leader, Airborne Infantry Company Commander, Special Forces Detachment Commander and Special Forces Company Commander.  His service took him to Europe, the Middle East, and the Pentagon, where he worked on the most sensitive military programs.  He deployed to Grenada, Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraqi Freedom. During his career, Keith received the Master Parachutist Badge, Ranger Tab, Special Forces Tab, and Joint Staff Badge.  He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Upon retiring from the Army, Keith was elected County Judge in Collin County, TX, in 2006.  He served three consecutive terms before retiring in 2018.

Keith and his wife Tracy have been happily married since his graduation from West Point.  They reside in McKinney, TX and are active members in their church and local community.

Jennifer Sey has been speaking truth and standing up for women and children for nearly two decades. Commissioner Manny Diaz, Jr. is a lifelong educator, having begun his career in education teaching Social Studies and coaching baseball in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system in 1994. He then served as an Assistant Principal from 2007 to 2013 until becoming the Chief Operating Officer at Doral College. He was appointed Commissioner of Education by the Florida State Board of Education effective June 1, 2022.

Before founding Sycamore Studios, Christian served as the Vice President of Global Content Strategy for Omnicom's Porter Novelli. During this time, he oversaw accounts ranging from LEGO to CVS.

Prior to his work at Omnicom, Christian was Vice President at Participant Media, the leading Hollywood film studio dedicated to entertainment that inspires and compels social change. Christian began his career at Participant developing digital strategy and leading creative for Participant's integrated, impact-driven film marketing campaigns. He later helped lead Participant's in-house agency division.

Christian earned his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Dallas and his J.D. from Chapman University School of Law. He is an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Public Policy and a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy. Christian currently resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and four children.

Victor Davis Hanson is the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow in Residence in Classics and Military History at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, a professor of Classics Emeritus at California State University, Fresno, and a nationally syndicated columnist for Tribune Media Services.

He is also the Wayne & Marcia Buske Distinguished Fellow in History, Hillsdale College, where he teaches each fall semester courses in military history and classical culture.

Hanson, who is the fifth successive generation to live in the same house on his family’s farm, was a full-time orchard and vineyard grower from 1980­–84, before joining the nearby CSU Fresno campus in 1984 to initiate a classical languages program. In 1991, he was awarded an American Philological Association Excellence in Teaching Award, which is given yearly to the country’s top undergraduate teachers of Greek and Latin.

Among his most recent books are Immigration Wars: Forging an American Solution, co-authored with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush; and David’s Hammer: The Case for an Activist Judiciary.

Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters taught eight years as a high school history teacher in his hometown at McAlester High School. During his time at MHS, Walters taught Advanced Placement courses in World History, U.S. History and U.S. Government. He also taught on-level history classes, special education classes and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) classes. The Oklahoma State Department of Education named Walters as an Oklahoma Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2016.

Previously, Walters was appointed as Secretary of Public Education for the State of Oklahoma by Governor Kevin Stitt in September of 2020 where he oversaw various agencies, boards and commissions, including the State Board of Education, College and University Boards of Regents or Trustees, Office of Educational Quality and Accountability and the State Board of Career and Technology Education.

Prior to joining the Institute, Victor served as Arizona Governor Doug Ducey’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Budget, where he was responsible for the formation and passage of all of the Governor’s major policy objectives as well as the state’s budget. While working for the Governor, he developed and passed into law legislation to protect the sharing economy and restrict the power of unelected bureaucrats.
