Women's Hope kicks off a new season by interviewing the authors of “When Words Matter Most: Speaking Truth with Grace to Those You Love.” The authors of the forthcoming book, Cheryl Marshall and Caroline Newheiser, address how they’d counsel women who are fearful or who feel ill-equipped to speak truth into the lives of sisters in Christ who are struggling. They also address why it’s so important to foster hope in these conversations.

Special guest Christi Rose, host of the podcast “Smiling at the Future,” asks Shelbi and Kimberly practical questions about aging. At what point do anti-aging efforts become sinful? What encouragement is there for an aging woman whose dream of motherhood is fading? What are some unique blessings of older age? Shelbi and Kimberly turn to Scripture to provide answers to these and other questions.

In this episode, Kimberly has a conversation with special guest Erin Coates. Erin is the wife of James Coates, who is a TMS alumnus and a pastor at GraceLife Church in Alberta, and who is currently jailed for defying health department restrictions. Erin discusses the difficulties that Canadian churches have faced in the past year and talks with Kimberly about the importance of a biblical ecclesiology.

Paul’s encouragement in Titus 2:4 for women to be “sensible” may seem like a simple and innocuous command, but there is untapped richness to what this word means. Shelbi and Kimberly look at this verse and other passages to explore the nuances of this command, offering practical advice for wives, mothers, and single women.

Special guest Ray Rhodes Jr. joins Shelbi and Kimberly to talk about his new book, “Yours, Till Heaven: The Untold Love Story of Charles and Susie Spurgeon.” He shares the story of how, in laughing and suffering together, the Spurgeons lived a compelling life of united, faithful ministry.

In the past few years, we have all become acquainted with the blessings and dangers of social media. In this episode, Kimberly and Shelbi interview special guest Darrell Harrison, Dean of Social Media at Grace to You. Together, they answer several foundational questions about Christians and social media: What biblical principles should inform us when we post? How should we respond when we sin with social media? How can we avoid spending too much time on these platforms?

According to Titus 2:4, one of the marks of a woman’s spiritual maturity is that she has learned to love her children well. But how do we love our kids when parenting is so often complicated and discouraging? In this episode, Shelbi and Kimberly look to 1 Corinthians 13 for practical lessons on what it means for mothers to love their children.

In this episode, Shelbi and Kimberly explore the first thing Titus 2:4 tells older women to teach younger women: how to love their husbands. Why is this responsibility so difficult? And why do younger women need help from older women? They answer these questions and look to other passages of Scripture for practical guidance on how wives can grow in love for their husbands.

In order to teach younger women to be spiritually mature, we must start by being mature ourselves. In part two of their ongoing series on Titus 2:3-5, Shelbi and Kimberly take a tour through the Old and New Testaments as they talk about two major hindrances to spiritual maturity: unruly speech and enslavement to desires.

Viewers have been writing in with questions about women's discipleship, and Shelbi and Kimberly have decided to start a new series on the topic out of Titus 2:3-5. They begin this week by exploring this foundational passage and the portrait it paints of the spiritually mature woman.

Shelbi and Kimberly interview special guest Rebecca Stark, longtime blogger and author of the theological book series, The Good Portion.Rebecca shares about her passion for doctrine and talks about the common hurdles that women face when it comes to studying theology.

In the final episode of their series on Complementarianism, Shelbi and Kimberly address common myths about the Complementarian view. Special guest Jenna poses these four questions: Do all women need to submit to all men? Can a true Complementarian never work outside of the home? Doesn’t Complementarianism lead to abuse? And finally, are women not allowed to speak at all during a worship service?

What is Complementarianism? How does it apply to marriage and church life? And why does it matter? Shelbi and Kimberly focus on key passages of Scripture as they answer some of the fundamental questions about Complementarian theology.

The divide between Egalitarianism and Complementarianism comes down to one thing: hermeneutics. This week, Shelbi and Kimberly explore the historical and interpretive roots of Egalitarianism in the church. What texts do Egalitarians appeal to, and how do Complementarians read them differently?
