Mercy Brown, who was called Lena by her family was a 19 year old girl who died of tuberculosis in 1892, in Exeter, Rhode Island. Her life was almost totally unremarkable. After her death, she became the focus of a very strange legend...essentially that of a vampire with no vampires involved.

In standard TTT methodology this episode also touches on schizophrenia, leprosy, rabies, human hopelessness, and the behavior of desperate people, and desperate populations. Oh, I almost forgot...Puppy Pregnancy Syndrome is also addressed.

Believe me, it's an interesting ride.

This episode marks the triumphant return of AJ Grabosky! But tonight, neanderthal-like sasquatches are not the subject. Instead, AJ is discussing, in great depth, the hidden history of the ancient Americas, the copper from Michigan that brought about the bronze age, and the new-world travels of the Phoenicians, who were masters of the oceans, the Minoans, who were incredibly advanced architects, and the Celts, who, according to AJ, travelled all the way to Alberta. All of these travellers left substantial evidence behind. These are fascinating mysteries, told by a deeply powerful and thorough mind. It's three hours of historical wonder!

Vic Hermanson has decided it's time to relax a bit. So, he enlisted the help of his friend Roddy Frey to delve deeply into the world of good, bad, and ugly monster movies, both new and ancient. Roddy truly knows his stuff! This episode does not require you to dive into cosmology or bone up on your calculus skills. Al you have to do is sit back and take in the monster goodness!

In episode 128 of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast, Vic Hermanson delves into some of the thought processes he explored in the growth and evolution of the Elizabeth the Vampire character. Father Michael Birdsong, Deacon Josh Birdsong, Dave Griffith (paranormal investigator) delve deep into what might happen if a vampire, that HAD to kill humans to survive, were to approach an ordained priest to see if absolution, through confession, were possible.

In what I am numbering episode 127 of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast, I, Vic Hermanson, bring you an entirely new story-arc for Elizabeth, the 480 year old vampire first presented to the world by Dr. Stephen Kaplan in 1984, in the book "Vampires Are." It seems she has gone silent all these years. In a totally fictional, but carefully researched episode, I explore what a new correspondence stream with Elizabeth might be like. She's changed since 1984: she's stronger, both more human, and less human, and her understanding of the world is no longer stuck in the 17th century. I've worked on this version of Elizabeth more than long enough to know, love, and yes, even fear her. i think it's worth you time to listen. With this episode, which is a bit experimental, I would greatly appreciate feedback from you, the listeners.

This is part one of two, of the new Elizabeth saga.

In episode 126, we meet Marilyn Hudson, the Paranormal Librarian. She talks with Vic Hermanson about a book that seems to occupy a place of "ontological superposition," both existing and not existing at the same time. The supposed book, "Oltissis: Ancient Greek Gods and Lore Revisited," by Federico Iaonnides, (one of several possible spellings) has occupied Vic Hermanson's quite limited mind for years!

It may or may not have been published, in France, in 1962. A copy of it may or may not have been purchased in a public library by Ted Connors, security expert, around 2010. It may or may not have been confiscated by Homeland Security or a similar governmental agency in 2011. It may or may not have been related to the "dragonfly drones" that were seen in many parts of the world about that time, frequently discussed by Art Bell. Those drones may or may not have been information gather devices sent to Earth by the "Oltissians."

Plus, Annabelle Lee reads what I'll call the "Declaration of Oltissis," and Beelzebubba gives Vic Hermanson some much needed correction! This episode was an absolute blast to create, Marilyn Hudson is a delightful guest, and if you love complex, cerebral mysteries, you'll love this episode.

Episode 124 of the Trailer Trash Terrors episode is a genuine work of passion. I started off as an episode about Guillotines, then I shifted to discussing Billy George Hughes, a man who killed my cousin, State Trooper Mark Allan Frederick in 1976. Over time, and actually in a logical fashion, I get back the Guillotine, in all of it's lore and gory wonder. You'll hear the real story of Languille, direct from the original newspaper article. Plus, you get to hear Beelzebubba be a cheerleader. He's the best! Oh, and I almost forgot, I do a qui a quick review of the classic novel, "My First Head Transplant." Episode 118 is the fifth and final episode of the Trailer Trash Terrors Monster Chronicles. It's a panel discussion with Vic, JJ Johnson, Father Birdsong, Chris James, and Dave Griffith, paranormal investigator extraordinaire. We do the best we can to define the essential characteristics of monsters, and, as usual, fail miserably! Or maybe you'll disagree! In episode 116 of The Trailer Trash Terrors podcast, Vic Hermanson joins forces with the amazing and eclectic mind of JJ Johnson, host of Southern Demonology, and a true expert on Japanese monsters...the Yokai. It's always fascinating to hear the thoughts of a mind like JJ's!

In episode 115 of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast, Vic Hermanson tries to create categories of monsters, and delves into the mental processes common to those monsters with 46 chromosomes. He goes back in time to revisit those monster movies that first warped his mind. "The Monster Chronicles" series is growing, and will now probably be four episodes.

In episode 114 of TTT, Vic Hermanson is 100 percent, laser focused on monsters, which is actually his favorite topic. He talks about Carl, a patient that many nurses thought was a human-ape hybrid. He talks about Teratomas, which genuinely can look monstrous. He talks about the man-eating tree of Madagascar, plus much, much more. This is the first TTT Tidbit episode in a long time. You get to meet Acadia, a feminine cyberintelligence programmed by Boudreaux to give him an occasional "freaking break"! And, I tell you all about the Willowampus! It was pie-bald, the size and general shape of a large wolf, had feathers on the back part of its body and huge wings! Nobody has seen it since 1916...but that does not mean its gone!

I also talk civil discourse, or the current lack thereof, unusually large male genitalia, dying alone, being hospitalized during the time of Covid, and how deeply I love stories.

In episode 101 of the Trailer Trash Terrors Podcast, Vic Hermanson dives deep into the weird world of the Quadro Tracker and similar devices. As I read this, carefully for the first time in years, it becomes obvious just what an incredible genius Dickens was, in terms of observing and writing about the human state. He was equal to Shakespeare, Tolstoy, or Rand.

This is episode 84 of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast. Tonight I interview Father Michael Birdsong, Pastor of Saint Michael and All Angels Church in Thomaston, Georgia. Father Birdsong is an exorcist; a real exorcist. He's talking about the sometimes horrific details of exorcism in other podcasts. But for this episode I wanted to talk to him about the man he is, the life experiences that led him to the point that he could assume the role of exorcist. That's an even more fascinating story.

There's nothing paranormal, nothing supernatural, not even anything particularly mysterious about this story, this experience. It's just a slice of humanity, both the good, and the bad, that will never leave my mind. It's the story of a six-rear-old boy, in an old Chevrolet, on the long and stifling road to Shreveport. It's a story I believe to be worth listening to.

Episode one of Season Three was made as a response to the "Eyes of the Devil" documentary. It covers organized child selling, buying, kidnapping, murder and organ harvesting. This was an experiment to see if I could create a podcast from scratch, in less than two hours, in a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) that is not my normal editing tool. I normally use Audition. I used Studio One for this episode. It took me 1 hour 59 minutes and 18 seconds to final mixdown writeout. Oh...the topic? A reported living dinosaur, in the far north, hunted by British royalty in the early part of the twentieth century. It's good cryptozoology! This is not my very best work, but speed was of the essence!

In this episode we discuss the tragic but fascinating life of Rhoda Derry. Sylvia Shults, the historian who has studied her life more than anyone else, and Dutch psychiatrist Bert van der Laan, help me delve deeply into the life and history of "Rhody," who spent most of 44 years in a "Utica Crib," gouged out her own eyes, was studied by "alienists" worldwide, and just perhaps, created a tulpa before her life fully deteriorated. If you've never heard this story, you truly do need to listen. If you have heard it, you've never heard it told like this. This episode ends with a story of Moll Derry, the witch of the Monongahela, the supernatural celebrity of the time, and Rhoda's grandmother. This is the final episode of season two.         

This episode looks at death from a few different perspectives, both fictional and true. As always with TTT, the approaches we take are just a little "offbeat." This episode has two short stories: The first, "The Scapegoat and the Abba Hawk," is about an ER doctor who slips between lives. The second, "The Street of Plum Wine Dreams," tells a love story, with several supernatural elements, and is centered around a man who has sen, and felt more death than he can easily reconcile. He may be a man who has the chance to die peacefully, even though he was not able to fulfill all of his dreams.

Oh...and we also cover some Momento Mori, and meet Wilbur the ethereal pest control expert! He's very high energy, and very cool, but is he really who he says he is?

Abe Sias, the man with a lifetime of experiences dealing with the demonic, gives us another awesome interview. We talk about what life is like when your spiritual gifts show you a world that very few people can perceive. We talk about the incredible importance of forgiveness in our lives, as well as the constant deception and attacks of the demonic world.

This episode starts out discussing "The Hat Man," strays into the inhabitants of the Paranormal Zoo, switches over to the granting of divine permission for painful paranormal events to occur, takes a detour over the Bell Witch territory,  and ends with a  deep exploration of how the human soul can be both damaged, and protected. It's a true theological and paranormal roller-coaster ride! A four hour and sixteen minute roller-coaster ride.
