Vic Hermanson

Monsters. Cryptids. Hauntings. Demons. Historical Mysteries. Wild Talents...And much more. From the steaming, sometimes lovely, often terrifying town of Mugwamp, Louisiana, your host Vic Hermanson, his ghostly, cybernetic pal Boudreaux, Annabelle Lee, Beelzebubba, and Wilbur the Ethereal Pest Control Specialist guide you through lands of terror, mystery, human misery and human potential, discovery, wonder, and occasionally, the philosophy of human thought and learning. There's simply not another podcast like it.

  • 151 - A Cosmological Voice Speaking Clearly From the Wilderness

Can a simple geometric model help uncover the secrets of the universe, spacetime, the human mind, consciousness, meaning, work, purpose, and truth? This weeks guest, Abbie, has spent 23 years trying to answer that exact question. Vic Hermanson tries to help her bring her knowledge and discoveries to the world, and throws in a few weird ideas of his own.

  • 150 - The Horse Leech and Fighting Behemoth (oh, and Losing)!

This week is all about Biblical monsters, and a goal that Vic Hermanson, your host, failed to achieve, even after years of effort. It's a new video episode with almost all of the flaws worked out.

Have you ever thought of what a Horse-Leech might really be? Tune in to find out! Oh, Boudreaux is off on vacation, taking the Bladerunner tour off the Shoulder of Orion!

  • 149 - The Sad, Complex Story of Mercy Brown. Plus Appetizers.

In this episode, Vic Hermanson continues on the path of making TTT a fully video show...please watch the video and let me know what you think. It's improving.

Mercy Brown, who was called Lena by her family was a 19 year old girl who died of tuberculosis in 1892, in Exeter, Rhode Island. Her life was almost totally unremarkable. After her death, she became the focus of a very strange legend...essentially that of a vampire with no vampires involved.

In standard TTT methodology this episode also touches on schizophrenia, leprosy, rabies, human hopelessness, and the behavior of desperate people, and desperate populations. Oh, I almost forgot...Puppy Pregnancy Syndrome is also addressed.

Believe me, it's an interesting ride.

  • 148 - A-Jay and the Ancient Americans! The Truth About Diffusionism, Michigan Copper, and Phoenician Travel

This episode marks the triumphant return of AJ Grabosky! But tonight, neanderthal-like sasquatches are not the subject. Instead, AJ is discussing, in great depth, the hidden history of the ancient Americas, the copper from Michigan that brought about the bronze age, and the new-world travels of the Phoenicians, who were masters of the oceans, the Minoans, who were incredibly advanced architects, and the Celts, who, according to AJ, travelled all the way to Alberta. All of these travellers left substantial evidence behind. These are fascinating mysteries, told by a deeply powerful and thorough mind. It's three hours of historical wonder!

  • 147 - Gamma Ray Bursts REALLY Hurt

    This is an odd episode.

First, in the TTT world, it is short.

Second, it was spawned by an email I received that caused me to rethink some things.

Third, Boudreaux steps outside of his normal snarky persona to wax philosophic for a few minutes.

The video is getting better! It's actually quite a bit of fun. Resolve is awesome!
