Before the modern disclosure movement, before streaming documentaries and government hearings, there was a nine-story boulder in the Mojave Desert where the future of the UFO conversation was being written. Giant Rock, forty-two miles outside Palm Springs, became the gathering place for thousands of UFO experiencers every year during the 1950s, 60s and 70s, and the man at the center of it all was George Van Tassel.

More than five hundred years ago, a renegade friar named Giordano Bruno wrote that the universe is filled with countless inhabited worlds, each with its own suns and its own peoples.
