Tshwane Mayor Ciller Brink speaks to Tshidi Madia and he opens about how it has been being in the office of Tshwane Mayor for 100 days. He notes that Tshwane has a lot of financial challenges which were contributed by the 18% salary increase towards the end of 2019, misgovernance by the administrator which brough the budget of the municipality to a deficit of over 4 billion, covid-19 and loadshedding. Touching on the Eskom debt that the municipality has, he says that they are in continuous engagements with Eskom, and they are seeing a slow progress. He touches on as well on the water crisis at Hammans kraal saying that they are working with the department of water and ensuring that they have a long-lasting solution. He says that he is best navigating on the coalition by giving parties a chance to participate in the governance by giving them the seat in the decision table and by cultivating relationships. He further adds that he is not available for the Gauteng Premier Candidate and says that he does not have much relationship with the EFF as they have not been very kind to him.

Gungubele, a former mayor and unionist, is currently minister in the presidency and oversees the state security agency. He is an NEC member.
