The 2025 Oscars was held on Sunday and was hosted by Conan O’Brien. Actor Zoe Saldaña won her first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez. Saldaña was the first American with Dominican origins to win an Academy Award. There was another first at the Oscars as well. Paul Tazewell won an Academy Award for Best Custom Design for his work on Wicked. This makes Tazewell the first black man to win this award.

There is no cause of death known to the public yet, but the “Killing Me Softly” singer did reveal she was diagnosed with ALS two and a half years ago. Our condolences go out to the Flack family and her close friends. She will be deeply missed.  

A few weeks ago, we lost record producer and co-founder of Murder Inc, Irv Gotti. At first there was no official cause of death but there was mention that he was in a coma due to a stroke. Irv Gotti’s brother, Chris Gotti, revealed that Irv did have a stroke and suffered from diabetes. Chris also said that Irv did not go to the doctor often and did not like going to the doctor which put him in the health situation he was in before his passing. Also, hip-hop icon, the legendary MC Lyte joins the RSMS crew. MC Lyte recently dropped her first album in ten years, and she spoke about the process of recording new music.
