Following New South Wales’ stunning come-from-behind victory over Queensland in State of Origin I, Laurie Daley joins Andrew Moore, Michael Carayannis and Luke Lewis on NRL Saturday to discuss what he was feeling during the match and the Blues’ remarkable comeback.   Daley also weighs in on who is most likely to replace Blayke Brailey after the Cronulla hooker suffered a broken arm in the Sharks’ win over Manly on Friday night.   Later in the program, Brailey’s coach, Craig Fitzgibbon, joins the team to discuss the challenge of replacing such an important player and reflects on Brailey’s toughness and resilience.   Plus, MC’s Hammertime returns, and the panel debates just how significant Andrew Abdo’s departure will be for the NRL.

A bumper Sunday NRL Show saw the Roosters Connor Watson join the team and his next move in Rugby League was a hot topic of discussion. He's being courted by a number of clubs which he admitted was nice but he'd still like to put pen to paper sooner rather than later. He joined Luke Lewis and John Gibbs in tackling the big issues in Six Again and they gave a first thought on Workhorses. There's a chance to get to know the latest member of the ABC's NRL crew - Scott Sorensen, Billy Moore goes head to head to dissect the State of Origin teams and Manly's Jamala Fogarty lifts the lid on the stripped back prep under coach Kieran Foran. Chris Mortimer chatted about NSW 1st ever Origin clean sweep and on the subject of Origin it's time for a re-working of the Denis Carnahan classic That's in Queensland.

On the build up to the Men's State of Origin it was great to jump inside both camps. Maroons debutant Jojo Fifita wasn't expecting to made the squad - so much so that when Queensland coach Billy Slate called he thought it could have been a scam! Andrew Moore, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis were joined by Penrith's Scott Sorensen through the afternoon and they discussed the sad news of Jai Arrow's Motor Neurone diagnosis and how Sorensen's future club the Perth Bears are shaping up. Maroons Origin Legend Dallas Johnson talked about his 1st State of Origin series which was 20 years ago and another current player - the Blues Hudson Young - shone a light on Laurie Daley's messaging and who's in control of the music in the NSW Camp.

Andrew Moore spoke to Dolphins prop Tom Flegler about his fairytale return from a shoulder injury that had sidelined him for almost two years, but has seen him get the call from Billy Slater welcoming him back to Queensland's Origin side.

Manly stalwart Reuben Garrick is loving life under Kieran Foran and he reckons they've rediscovered their team identity. He chatted to Glen Lauder and Alan Tongue about the improved defence, winning without Tom Trbojevic and knowing it's his final year at the club. Plus the team discuss some of the State of Origin selections and talk about the sad news of Jai Arrow's Motor Neurone Disease revelation.

He underlined why they've extended their deal to keep the weekend in Brisbane. He also talked about keeping fans in mind when negotiating the new broadcast deal, an assistance package for the Perth Bears and why he doesn't want to see officials copping stick from coaches. Plus Kevin Walters joined the team to talk about a ringing endorsement from his players to keep his job as the Kangaroos coach, Michael Carayannis - not selected for Origin duty - joined for Hammertime and there's some special birthday wishes for John Gibbs.

Controversy is never far away in the NRL and Friday night threw up a couple of interesting calls. Luke Lewis reckons Rooster Rob Toia's 2nd try against the Titans was 1000% not a try as he looked to have lost it over the line. Lewey chatted about that with Andrew Moore and Michael Carayannis and the bizarre end to the game in Townsville where the Eels won with a 3 point field goal. Plus you can hear some of what Criag Bellamy had to say as he addressed the media for the 1st time since news of his neurodegenerative disorder was made public. And Parramatta Young gun Tallyn Da Silva chatted about this win over the Cowboys and how he's enjoying more minutes on the field.

On the eve of the 2026 Magic Round there's talk that from 2027 the format of the weekend might have to get a tweak. With the Perth Bears joining the party there'll be an extra NRL match to fit in (and no team sitting out) so what does that mean for the Women's Origin match which has kicked the weekend off on the Thursday? Quentin Hull, Billy Moore and Zane Bojack reckon that match should stay. Q and Billy also discussed the introduction of health screenings for former players and were joined by the Raiders powerful centre Matt Timoko. The Green Machine man reckons the uptick in their form is down to one thing - keeping it simple.

Canterbury's defeat by North Queensland condemned the Bulldogs to a 3rd straight NRL defeat. But it was the manner of the performance that concerned Luke Lewis. On the other side of the result was a very good performance from Cowboys back Tom Chester who explains his pre-season training efforts. Back to back wins for Canberra Raiders have given great entertainment to the neutral but gun centre Simi Sasagi reckons they're making life harder for themselves than it needs to be. The got the better of Melbourne 26-22 but only after some daft penalties let the Storm back in to the match. And as for Melbourne Andrew Moore, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis think the prognosis is bleak for Melbourne this season. Things are looking up at Manly though and you can here half back Jamal Fogarty chat about why he thinks they've turned things around with 3 straight wins.

The NRL's weekend in Perth produced a cracker with the Raiders hanging on against a late South Sydney fightback to win. Canberra Hooker Tom Starling told Andrew Moore and the team that when the game shifts away from you it's hard to stop. Ryan Hoffman (33:35) has seen more of the Storm than most this season and he reckons they probably not hit top gear since the 1st half of the 1st round pummelling of Parramatta. But the Storm legend thinks they're in great shape going into the NRL Grand Final. It's been quite the season for a player who was released from the Dragons and wasn't sure if he would keep playing. Now he's in a Preliminary final which, as he told Quentin Hull and the team, is a shock because he could scarcely believe he was playing finals while he was on the field in the Elimination Final against the Roosters. Meanwhile incoming Newcastle coach Justin Holbrook (1:20:07) explained what appealed to him about the Newcastle job, why he's pleased to have Dylan Brown on a 10 year contract and his preliminary chats with Kalyn Ponga. 10 years on from one of the all time great NRL Grand Finals the emotions associated with that memorable day are still clear in the memory of Lachlan Coote. The Premiership winning North Queensland full back told Brett Sprigg how advice from Ivan Cleary persuaded him to join the Cowboys and how he quickly realised what a good team he was part of. He also explains how the match played out and the belief in the North Queensland players that got them home against the Broncos.

While the top 8 teams are playing finals there's a bit of reflection for those teams who didn't make the 8 and the coach of the 9th placed Dolphins - Kristian Woolf (1:20:16) - isn't really sure what to make of the season just gone. Andrew Moore has given us an update to his health battles while detailing the moments of his heart attack chatting to Michael Carayannis.  Andrew is continuing his recovery after being released from hospital, and is now resting around family and friends.

It has been a rollercoaster season for Michael Maguire but he's now preparing his Brisbane side for a Qualifying final in Canberra next Sunday. Madge told Quentin Hull, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis how happy he was to see his team find the sort of game they displayed in beating the Storm on Thursday night. He also sang the praises of full back Reece Walsh but said it's not surprise when you see how hard he works. He also talked through the difficult selection decisions he faces over the next couple of weeks over Adam Reynolds and Gehemat Shibasaki.

Rooster James Tedesco (26:57) fittingly finished off the regular season guiding his team to a win over rivals South Sydney and picking up 3 points in the ABC Player of the Year award. That clinched that particular title for him although in reality he's had it in the bag for a while after a stellar season. He joined Quentin Hull, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis and admitted that one of the benefits of missing out on Rep Footy was that he avoided the physical and mental toll that Origin extracts. The Roosters have thrust themselves back into the NRL title debate after a 30 point thrashing of the Storm in Melbourne. While they are struggling to put consistent results together, Mark Nawaqanitawase is managing something sensational almost every week. His team-mate and ABC Sport favourite Connor Watson could hardly believe the 4 try performance from the former Rugby Union man. And he also talked Brett Sprigg, Luke Lewis and Michael Carayannis through the issues of trying to get to sleep after an adrenaline fuelled win.

The NRL top 8 is taking shape and Canterbury is locked into the top 4 after dealing with an understrength Penrith team in Round 26. He also talked about the inspiration of Marion Seve donning the goggles to help his team keep winning matches.

The man who scored the Miracle of Mudgee match winning try - Kaeo Weekes (19:51) - joined the team on Saturday NRL to walk them through Canberra's remarkable win over Penrith. The flying full back explained that he thought Nathan Cleary had kicked the field goal that eventually led to the Raiders' length of the field try. He also talked about his own personal journey and what it would mean to win the competition.
