Faith-based anxiety help for Christian teen girls: practical tools for social anxiety, overthinking, intrusive thoughts, and insecurity, plus Bible verses for anxiety that actually connect to your real life.

They haven’t texted back, and you’re already sure they’re annoyed with you.
You replay what you said in class for hours, even when you didn’t say anything wrong.
It’s 1am and your brain won’t shut off.
Everyone else seems fine, and you feel like the only one falling apart.

And you love Jesus. So why are you still this anxious?

You’re not being dramatic, you’re not some kind of a burden, and you’re definitely not the only one who feels this way.

On Anxious Christian Teen, you’ll get practical, faith-based tools for social anxiety, overthinking, friendship drama, stress, and intrusive thoughts and that harsh voice in your head. No “just stop overthinking.” No “just pray more and try harder.” Real strategies for real, day-to-day life, anchored in what God says about you.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Calm anxiety symptoms when your body feels like you’re in danger (even when you know you’re not)
  • Stop replaying every conversation and worrying what everyone thinks
  • Navigate fake friends, ghosting, and drama without losing yourself
  • Untangle your worth from grades, sports, and approval
  • Build self-esteem and confidence rooted in Christ, not performance

I’m Kristen, a high school counselor, teen anxiety coach, and your big sis in faith. As a teen, I looked fine on the outside. Good grades, lead roles, sports, friends. Inside, I second-guessed everything: what I wore, what I said, how I played. I thought one more A, one more win, one more compliment would finally make me feel like enough. It never did.

So what changed? I learned practical tools to manage anxiety and anchored them in my identity in Christ. Peace wasn’t about becoming a different girl. It was about finding out who God already said I was.

Now I help girls just like you do the same.

So grab your coziest hoodie and your favorite loaded tea. Let’s talk about what peace actually looks like for a Christian teen girl today.

xo,
Kristen

  • 149 - 145 | Prayed & Still Anxious? How to Pray Before Anxiety Hits a 10 {TEENS}

    Hey doll,Have you ever prayed about something, like really prayed, and then just sat there with your heart still pounding? And then the scariest thought slides in: I prayed, and I still feel like this. Is my faith just too weak for this?Feeling anxious after you pray does not mean God isn't listening, and it doesn't mean you did it wrong. In this episode, I'm telling you about the night I prayed my absolute guts out on the ride home (and why it didn't help me one bit), and we're closing out the PEACE Plan with the very last step: Enter Everyday Peace. That's where prayer stops being the emergency line and becomes part of your real, day to day life.What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why feeling anxious after you pray doesn't mean God isn't listening (or that you're not saved) What happens when prayer is only your last resort Why praying at a 3 or 4 works better than waiting until your anxiety hits a 10 How to stop treating prayer like a request line, straight from Colossians 4:2 A simple gratitude tool to use the moment you feel the spiral starting Your one step this week: Once a day, before anything feels urgent, talk to God and name three things you're thankful for.   • 148 - 144 | Left Out by Your Friends? Why It’s Not Proof You’re Too Much {TEENS}

    Hey doll, Left out by your friends? Maybe you heard about the birthday sleepover on Monday morning, after everybody else already had the pictures. Maybe your friends have started ghosting you, or every single conversation ends in drama. And now you’re wondering if something is wrong with you. If you’re too much, not enough, or both. Friendships as a teen are incredibly important. You’re figuring out who you are and where you fit, so when friendships wobble, it feels like it’s about you. I know, because I lived it. I kept a poker face and played it off like I didn’t care, while on the inside I was sure I was too blunt, too weird, the third wheel. In this episode, I’m giving you one brave tool and three cringe (but true) teaching points to help you stop treating “left out” like proof that you’re the problem. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why getting left out feels so huge right now, and why it isn’t a verdict on who you are The Testing the Waters tool: how to calmly ask what’s really going on, without naming or blaming Why you never go into that conversation hot, and when it’s ok to not have it at all Why not everyone who says they’re your friend is actually your friend Why not everything you hear is the full truth Why the only person you can control is you, and what Romans 12:18 says about your part Your one step this week: Think of one friendship situation that’s been sitting heavy on you. Don’t fix it yet. Just ask yourself, what do I actually know is true here, and what’s the story I’ve been telling myself? xo, Kristen 🎧 Follow the show on Apple Podcasts or Spotify so you never miss an episode.   • 147 - 143 | Overwhelmed? How Teen Girls Can Build Confidence Without Fixing Everything at Once {TEENS}

    Hey doll!Have you ever made a list in your head of everything about you that needs fixing? Your grades. Your style. Your friend group. That thing you said three weeks ago that you’re still replaying. And then anxiety leans in and whispers that you need to fix all of it, like, yesterday.So you try to overhaul your whole life at once. And instead of feeling more confident, you end up feeling more stuck than ever. I know, because I tried to reinvent my entire self the summer before freshman year, and I ended up standing in the hallway while my old friends shut me out and my new friends walked away.Here’s the truth: anxiety is fear, and fear is a liar. You don’t have to fix everything at once to build real confidence. You just have to pick one thing.What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why trying to fix everything at once keeps you stuck instead of confident How the Enemy uses overwhelm to keep you paralyzed, and what God offers instead Step C of the PEACE Plan: Choose One Move Why a lamp lights up just enough for the next step, not the entire map (Psalm 119:105) Why small, faithful steps aren’t practice for the real thing. They are the real thing (Luke 16:10) Why you should never underestimate small daily progress (Zechariah 4:10) Your one step this week: when the whole list shows up, ask yourself one question: what’s the one next step? Then take it. Just one. And let that be enough for today.Coming Friday: what to do when your friend group starts shifting and you suddenly feel like the outsider.xo, Kristen🎧 Follow Anxious Christian Teen where ever you listen so you never miss an episode.WANNA GO DEEPER, BABY SIS?   • 146 - 142 | Social Anxiety in the Hallway? Why It Feels Like Everyone’s Watching {TEENS}

    Hey doll,Ever walk down the hallway and feel like every single head turns? Your hair decided to be frizzy today, you’re not sure you got the right New Balances, and you’re so hot on the inside you might actually catch fire.That feeling of everyone watching you is real. But what’s actually going on is usually not what you think. In this episode, I tell you about the night I walked into a gym with a brand new hairstyle and went from “I’m cute” to “I feel ridiculous” in about two seconds flat. Then I give you one tool for the second that heat starts rising, and three truths that take the power out of the spotlight.What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why social anxiety makes it feel like everyone is watching you Flip the Spotlight, a tool you can use in the hallway the moment the heat starts rising Why most people are too worried about themselves to be watching you Why the looking you’re scared of is usually kinder than you think What to do when someone really does say something, and whose approval actually matters Your one step this week: Flip the Spotlight one time. Pick one girl, notice one thing, and if you’re feeling brave, tell her.xo, Kristen🎧 Follow Anxious Christian Teen on Apple Podcasts or Spotify so you never miss an episode.WANNA GO DEEPER, BABY SIS?   • 145 - 141 | Your Teen’s Anxiety Isn’t Your Fault - Here’s Why She Needs Help {MOMS}

    Hey mama,Is your teen’s anxiety your fault? If that question has been sitting heavy on your heart, I want you to hear me: no, it’s not. It doesn’t mean you missed something, it doesn’t mean you weren’t there for her, and it doesn’t mean you haven’t raised her to truly trust God.Maybe she’s been quieter lately, snapping at everybody, or falling apart the second she gets in the car. You want to help, but you’re scared of saying the wrong thing. So today I’m giving you a simple way to start that conversation, one that won’t send her running to her room.What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why your daughter’s anxiety is not a report card on your parenting The three filters for anything you say to her: simple, short, focused on her How to open the door without a lecture (or a slammed door) Why your story can wait, even if you’ve been there and done that What James 1:5 says about asking for wisdom when you don’t know what to say Your one step this week: pick one low-pressure moment, maybe in the car, and say one simple sentence that opens the door. Then let her walk through it when she’s ready.xo, Kristen🎧 Follow the show so you never miss an episodeMentions: Kristen’s insider email, weekly updates plus tools your daughter can actually use: anxiouschristianteen.com/vipWANNA GO DEEPER, BABY SIS?
