You listening to gospel Railway Praise. Today's topic: Charlie Wilson-I'm Blessed.
Hello! I'm Gail Nobles. Happy 2024. Charlie Wilson has a song titled I'm Blessedfrom his 2017 album In It To Win It. The song features T.I. In his lyrics he mentions that he knew God was with him and how he always used to pray. His prayer was that he asked God to not let the devil kill him while he was out there in the streets. He promised God that if he would give him one more chance at life and music that he would testify.
I've been watching Charlie for a long time. He's the lead singing guy from the group The Gap Band. They had songs such as Outstanding, Party Train, Yearning For Your Love, You Dropped A Bomb On Me, and more.I remember the group The Gap Band from the 80s, but their years active was in 1967 to 2010.
Charlie Wilson has been singing a long time. It's great that he remembers God in his singing. I'm Blessed is a song by Charlie that helps us to remember how blessed we are because things could be worse in our lives. We need to give praise to God and thank him for what we have already. There is a good message in Charlie’s song I'm Blessed.
I'm Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening to Gospel Railway Praise. Have a blessed 2024.Mon, 29 Jan 2024 - 18 - The Rance Allen Group 10:10:23 11.12 PMKeyboardist:Gail Nobles

The Rance Allen Group was a gospel music group formed in Monroe, Michigan, named after its lead vocalist, Bishop Rance Allen.
The group was formed by vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter Rance Allen with his brothers Tom (drums) and Steve (bass guitar); another brother, Esau (percussionist), joined the group on an intermittent basis.
They have a song titled Everything Is Gonna Be Alright. from their 1972 album the Rance Allen Group. I love it when they stop all the music and let Rance sing with the drums and the background singers. It’s a song that makes you feel like clapping your hands or tapping your feet. It’s a gospel song that makes you feel just what it said: Everything Is Gonna Be Alright.
Rance Allen was a Bishop, Minister, and gospel musician, and of course the founder and leader of the Rance Allen Group. Known for his extremely wide vocal range and powerful singing voice, Allen became known as the main lead vocalist and the leader of the influential group. He passed away on October 31, 2020 at the age of 71. Rance Allen left us with great memories and music.

Good evening! I'm Gail Nobles on Gospel Railway Praise. Todays topic: Portraying Christ.
I've seen actors portray Christ in movies acting out what is written in the Bible in the gospel way. Now I see rappers portraying Christ in music, but not in the gospel way. Some Christians call it or see it as mockery. We do need to be careful when it comes to the son of God. We do not need to Tamper with what is holy. In my opinion, if any man portrays Christ, he needs to portray the truth about Christ and not tamper with God's holy word. We need to tell the word just as God had it written for us because it is His holy word.

I heard Mavis Staplessay that the devil ain't got no music and that all music belongs to God. Well, I can see where she's right. God made music, and if it were not for him, music wouldn't be here. It wouldn't be made. God got angels in heaven singing, and Lucifer, who is now the devil, knows all about music according to Ezekiel chapter 28 verse 13. “…the workmanship of the tablets and of thy pipes was prepared in theday that thou wast created.”
That lets you know Satan knew something about music. He was an anointed cherub according to verse 14. Man assumes he was the leader of the heavenly choir. But Satan is trying to destroy music & turn it into nothing. He doesnt have one good idea because he’s all about destruction.
People are hardly writing and singing about true love today. And some Gospel songs don’t say anything about God. But they’ll call it Gospel. There are songs that don’t make any sense at all. And when you hear about the music industry, and the artists trying to make money, it doesn’t sound too good. Man had increased in knowledge with the internet and things began to change.
We need to pray to God about our music, and ask him to lead and guide us in the right direction when we use our talents and gifts. We need to get away from the explicit stuff, and a whole lot of other stuff leading people the wrong way; messing up the minds of the people. It will be your fault in the end.
Remember that the Devil doesnt want nobody to succeed. He’s nobody’s friend. He’s not even a friend to himself, and he knows that he will be destroyed. Not music. Music will always be here. Like Mavis Staples said, it belongs to God.

Heaven Help Us All" is a 1970 soul single composed by Ron Miller and first performed by Motown singer Stevie Wonder. The song, which showcased a departure from Wonder's earlier works by displaying an earthier, gospel-infused sound, continued Wonder's string of Top 10 singles on the pop charts reaching #9 on the Hot 100 singles chart and #2 on the R&B chart. The song has since been covered dozens of times in a variety of styles.
It’s a true song. We all need heaven’s help. There are things going on in this world today that some of us thought we’d never see in this day & age. Heaven Help Us All is a song that still has a strong meaning for our day & time. The words are still alive and you can see a prayer in the lyrics for everyone.

Info from: CBN - Gloria Gaynor Shares Miraculous Moment God Saved Her From Life of Sin and How It Changed Her Career Forever
Hi I’m Gail Nobles & you’re listening to Christian News on Gospel Railway Praise. According to CBN News, The Queen of Disco, Gloria Gaynor shared a miraculous moment. God saved her from a life of sin and how it changed her life.
In the 1980s, she was known for her parties. People were coming in with drugs, and she talked about how she was ready to get involved. But one day the Queen of Disco heard the voice of God.
Gloria Gaynor is known for her hit song, I Will Survive. For a year, the Queen of Disco said she did nothing, but sit and learn and study the word and listen to the Lord and write songs. After a year, the Lord sent her back with this: “My word speaks of all the issues of life. What would make you think I wouldn’t want you to sing about all the issues of life from my point of view?”
And she said that’s what she did. She changed some of the lyrics to some of her songs - some of the songs she doesn’t sing at all anymore.
I heard and saw a change in Gloria Gaynor when I heard her sing, I Will Survive at the 30th AnniversaryCelebration of Michael Jackson. I heard her mention the Lord in her song.
She said, “Only the Lord could give me strength not to fall apart though I tried hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart.” She was singing, I Will Survive.
I heard Gloria Gaynor in a different way. I thought, She must have been through something to include the Lord. She sings as if she knows what she’s singing about. The Queen of Disco also gave great advice and
encouragement to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. I knew she was keeping it real.
Gloria Gaynor has a gospel album titled Testimony. The album was released in 2019 by Gather Music Group. It won the Grammy Award for Best Roots Gospel Album. The song "Talkin' 'Bout Jesus" was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
I’m so glad that Gloria Gaynor heard God’s voice. I’m so glad that she listened. I’m Gail Nobles. You’re listening to Christian News. Tune in again next time for more. Thank you for listening.Sat, 05 Nov 2022 - 12 - The Chi-Lites 5:17:22 3.58 PM

There Will Never Be Any Peace ( Until God Is Seated At The Conference Table) is by the R&B/Soul vocal group quartet from Chicago Illinois. The song was released in 1974.
The Chi-Lites lyrics say, “ What went on in the dark
Has come to the light
Tell me who’s to blame
And what’s his name?
You can’t point your finger
But you gotta remember
What was done was done by a man
So we gotta tell em’
There will never be any peace
Until God is seated at the conference table ..
A conference table is where we hold a meeting. We can’t do it without God. He has the final say so. The Chi-Lites have done right by singing such a song. It’s a beautiful truthful song because man don’t want war to end. It takes God to make it so.
The song, There Will Never Be Any Peace (Until God Is Seated At The Conference Table is written by Eugene Record. A singer, songwriter, arranger and record producer. He was the lead vocalist of The Chi-Lites from 1960s to 1970s. He wrote and produced many of their hits, but he also produced for other artists. The genre of the song is soul, but it can also be counted as gospel.

The Sons of Truth put out the album “A Message From the Ghetto” on Stax’s subsidiary Gospel Truth in 1972. It is a rare album. It was an album filled with funk and soul with a gospel edge. On the album there are songs with titles such as “God Help Us All” “With Jesus You’re Free” “ Call on Him” He’s All We Need” and “God Bless the Children”.
God Bless the Children is a song that will never grow old. Like then when the song was made children need God’s blessing. So much is going on the world. We need prayers for the children. The lyrics say: “cause they don’t even know what men do. And that’s why Lord I call on you. They don’t even known how to sin. But these are troubled times that we’re living in.
The Sons of Truth album is by far the most sought after on Stax’s Gospel Truth subsidiary. You can hear the album on Spotify.

Intro singing
… And do you know who that friend was that he was singing about? He was singing about Jesus Christ. Eddie Kendricks! He was a singer and songwriter of course, and he had a very distinctive falsetto singing style. I sang a little bit of the song to let you know how it goes, and it hasn’t been easy.
Kendricks was one of the lead singers in the group the Temptations from 1960 until 1971. He was the lead voice on songs like Get Ready, The way You Do The Things You Do, and Just My Imagination. As a solo artist, Kendricks recorded several hits of his own during the 1970’s including the number one single, Keep On Truckin’.
But Eddie Kendricks released a gospel song in 1976 titled, He’s a Friend. It was from his seventh album. “He’s a Friend” fell one step away from securing another #1 R&B single for Eddie, stopping at #2 behind “Disco Lady” by Johnnie Taylor. It should have been a hit for the gospel charts as well, but that I do not know. However, the world loved the song. You know the world needs the gospel too.
If you would like to hear Eddie Kendricks song, you’ll find it on his seventh album titled, He’s a Friend. It’s a whole lot better than my little intro that I played earlier, but this is the best that I can do considering that radio music is not podcasting.

Trust in God
Just believe in him
Have faith in him
Just believe in him
Jesus said in St. John 11
25 I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
You know the Bible said Jesus rose Lazarus from the dead. What makes you think a miracle can’t happen like that today? You’ve got to believe in God.
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Some say the spirit of Elijah, but the Bible said Elijah. Why is it so hard for men to believe Malachi chapter 4 verse 5? Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Those are the words from the Bible. Those are the words of the Lord.

Did you know Motown sang the gospel? It was Gladys Knight singing How Great Thou Art.
That was just an example by me of one of the songs that Glady’s sang on the album “Motown Gospel In Loving Memory”. The alum was released in 1968. It is dedicateed to the memory of Mowotn founder Berry Gordy’s sister. The album features several popular Motown acts like Diana Ross & the Supremes, The Temptations, The Miracles. and Marvin Gaye, performing versions of popular gospel songs and spirituals.
How Great Thou Art was performed by Gladys Knght & the Pips. Gladys was the lead singer, and she sang the song beautifuly. The song is a beautiful Christian hym. There is a calling
It's the Christ
I know that he's real.
When you feel like you're falling,
let the Lord do his will.

But because he lives I can face tomorrow.

You know something was going on in Whitney's career. Something happened. But through it all, there was something about Whitney that made me know that she never let the gospel go because she was always singing it. Whitney's last live performance was "Jesus Loves Me" with Kelly Price. The song appears on the album "The Bodyguard" of the original soundtrack in 1992.
I think Whitney Houston made the right decision singing the gospel though she was singing R&B. She didn't sing the gospel in every performance, but I'm glad that she did sing it when she did. When she was singing the gospel, it was probably the best church Hollywood ever had. Often, "Jesus Loves Me" is a song we need to hear. Some people may have gotten saved hearing Whitney sing that song, and I'm sure the song was a great reminder to Whitney through her trials.
Some people don't believe that you should sing both gospel and R&B. But it's not what we sing that gets us to heaven. It's living the word of God.
We judge a drug addict and an alcoholic, but God knows what caused the problem. God knows if someone caused the problem, and he's the best judge because only he can see what's down in the soul.
Whitney Houston knew that she would be talked about, but she also knew that Jesus loved her, and that she could go home to him; before it was to late. There is a story in the song, "Jesus Loves Me". I'm glad that Whitney gave God praise...........Fri, 21 Feb 2020 - 2 - Natalie and Deniece - We Sing Praises - 2:15:20, 3.44 PM

Today's topic is Natalie Cole and Deniece Williams. We sing praises was a gospel song by R&B singers Deniece Williams and Natalie Cole. It was a great gospel duet written by Dave Raynor. It is said that it was nominated for a Grammy in 1990 for best R&B performance by duo or group.
The sound was new to me in gospel music when I first heard the song. Everybody was talking about contemporary gospel music. It was getting harder for me to know what songs were really gospel. But "We Sing Praises" is a song that was flat out gospel to me because it was a song simply about the Lord. It was a song that I didn't have to figure out. I love the way the lyrics were written. It didn't matter much about the instruments and sound. It turned out to be a beautiful gospel song.

(Song and Singing)
Yes, Jesus got power. Jesus got fame. I'm not talking about the fame of men. I'm talking about Holy Ghost fame. People talk about the price of fame preaching about celebrities and stars. St. John 3:16 said For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus died for all.
Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Now lets talk about Andrae Crouch and his hit single "Jesus Is Lord". The song you heard me sing is just a song for the opening of the podcast. But Jesus is Lord is the song you really want to hear by Andrae Crouch. He sang about Jesus; how he walked upon the water. How he calmed the raging sea.
Back in the old days, songs were advertised a lot on television commercials. A television commercial is where I first heard a little bit of the song, Jesus is Lord. I remember gospel songs older than that one that didn't have quite as much music. But when I heard Jesus is Lord, there was just something about that song. There was a powerful message about Jesus.
The song came from Andrae's 1979 gospel album, "I'll Be Thinking of
You". The sound of the song Jesus is Lord had a boastful message. It was my first time hearing music played with so many soulful sounding instruments that way in gospel. My mom and I would play Jesus is Lord over and over again. The song was a big hit and people loved it just as much as they did a rock n roll song. Andrae Crouch brought something new and great to gospel music. To me, Jesus is Lord was a new sound to my ears in gospel.
