  • 30 - Ep. 31 Overcoming Fear + Recognizing Patterns

What does it mean, “overcoming fear?” Also ask yourself what patterns you follow in life. Take a listen as Host Brian Hazelgren talks about overcoming fear of failure and understanding the power of patterns. When you start to form patterns you will start to fail less. Take a look at your life right now and ask yourself, what patters are you following and are they getting you to where you want to be? Your Life should be a statement, use your “failures” as stepping stones to get you to where YOU want to go. Let me as well you ask yourself this, what has been your biggest failure so far your life’s adventure. We all can think of failures, so called failures that we have in our lives have had. So what’s the biggest one may want to take a few minutes and write that down. Write down in your journal or wherever you can reflect back on what you learned from this so called failure. And how about if we take this notion one step a little bit further. The notion of the buck stops here. Well, I believe that we need to put aside negative patterns in our thinking, and from this moment forward, we need to accept responsibility for our past. You and I need to start saying to ourselves, I will accept responsibility for my past because Understand that the beginning of wisdom is to accept responsibility for my own problems. And that by accepting responsibility for my past, I’m free, I can free myself to move into a bigger, brighter future of my own choosing. I believe that, we are here today, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, even financially, because of the decisions that we’ve made. We need to own those decisions. And then we need to realize like, President Harry S Truman said that our decisions have always been covered by the way we think. So today is the day that we begin the process of changing where I am, where you are, by changing the way I think and start saying the buck stops here with me.   Learn more about your ad choices. • 29 - Ep. 30 Fixation on the Negative

Do we as a society have a fixation on the negative things? It all around us being feed to us day in and day out, right? We as humans usually have a propensity to give a ton of weight or more weight maybe is better way to put that in our own minds, that when things go wrong, that’s where we usually spend most of our thought process versus more when things are going right. Scientists have called that something interesting. They call it the negative bias, that we focus on the negative so much. That just one negative event can literally hijack our minds in ways that can be detrimental to our relationships to our own in interpersonal peace, to our health, to our work and even our happiness. Change your mindset and FOCUS on the positive. Listen in as Brian talks about how to change your mind and what you can do to focus on positive things. Learn more about your ad choices. • 28 - Ep. 29: Innovation In a Pandemic

What’s your thought on Innovation? There’s some really smart, clever people in all industries of all ages that are highly motivated. They want to solve these serious problems that we’re facing with COVID-19. And those ideas are going to come from those who have experience. And that’s the 50 plus population. I think it opens up a whole new world for the 50 plus population, to figure out what type of job they want to do going forward. From hospitality to technology to even healthcare and the industry that I’m in. I mean, look what’s even been done with a UV light as a cleansing agent in hotels and resorts and cruise lines and airplanes. Look what people are doing to conduct business just by using webinars to get their message across. We’re doing that every day. We’re using webinars in our business all the time. So, I think that one thing that is overlooked, quite often is that people have resilience. And sometimes it’s that resilience that we don’t even know that we have. And it’s that resilience that will adjust to the new normal.  Follow on Brian Hazelgren on Social Media – https://www.facebook.com/brianhazelgren and Rx2Live https://www.facebook.com/RX2Live Learn more about your ad choices. • 27 - Ep: 28 - Change Your Situation

In this episode host Brian Hazelgren talks about situations we find ourselves in.  What are some situations are we experiencing right now, Covid19, Riots and how we can change our situation?  Brian also discusses the importance of coming up with some kind of routine to keep us on course. “Sometimes you actually have to force some kind of change in your mind and even in your personal situation. I've learned in like, for example, in the corporate world or atmosphere. We have to adapt and change. And sometimes there's crisis mode that we have to go into. Other times we can relax and build for the future. Other times we have to just have a strategic plan and follow the plan, whether it's in your company, whether it's in your community or in your family. Now, I realized that the virus and the riots have caused millions of people and companies to change their situation. In some cases, they were given no choice wasn't their fault. In other cases, they just wanted to  follow what maybe the local government had mandated. But they always come to the conclusion they meaning the leaders always come to the conclusion that the routine has to be established for people to follow. So the long short of this discussion is to really figure out about how we can establish a routine in our daily regimen. Because if we don't have that it can cause us to lose our bearings." • 26 - Ep: 027 - Benefits of Opposition

In this episode host Brian Hazelgren continues a bit about maintaining a positive outlook on life and then dives in with the benefits of opposition.  You will always be faced with some kind of opposition in life, the key is to use it to your advantage. He shares a few stories about how some made it work for them. In a small Italian town hundreds of years ago, a small business owner owed a large sum of money to a loan shark. The loan shark was a very old unattractive looking fellow.  That just so happened to really take a fancy or like the business owners daughter, he decided to offer the businessman a deal that would completely wipe out the debt that was owed to him. However, the catch was that he would only wipe out the debt if he could marry the businessman's daughter. Well, needless to say this proposal was met with complete utter disgust by the daughter. She wanted no part of that, even to help her dad out. So, the loan shark said that he would place two pebbles in a bag one white and one black. The daughter would then have to reach into the bag and pick out a pebble. If it was black, the debt would be wiped out, but the loan shark would then marry her. If it was white, the debt would also be wiped out but the daughter would not have to marry the loan shark. So, standing on a pathway that had thousands of pebbles in the businessman's garden, the loan shark bent over and picked up two pebbles. While he was picking them up, the daughter noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and placed them into the bag. He then asked the daughter to reach into the bag and pick one….
