Welcome back to another exciting episode of Humans of Project Controls! In this episode host Michael Lepage invited Jessica Colbert to discuss the nuances of communication, achieving accolades, and problem-solving in a chaotic industry.Jessica began her career in operations project management and has spent her entire career working with self-performing heavy civil contractors. Over fifteen years ago, she shifted her focus to project controls, scheduling, and risk management, and currently serves as Director of Project Risk at Allan Myers. In addition to her role with the company, Jessica serves as VTCA’s Secretary-Treasurer (and incoming Vice President) and is the current Chair of the Contractor Leadership Committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech, as well as an MBA and a master’s degree in management from the University of Maryland University College.
