The Drop (2023), a beacon of light and sound by internationally renowned, UK lighting designer Phil Supple for L:umiere 2023. Beams, patterns and lights, choreographed to a lively musical score composed by collaborator and sound artist Toby Park, illuminated the full height of the Auckland Tower in Bishop Auckland.

During the London’s Burning festival, audiences were invited to experience 'Holoscenes', a five hour underwater performance installation inspired by the threat we face from rising sea levels. Prior to joining the national newspaper, he was the chief speechwriter for the former Prime Minister Tony Blair. Elif Shafak is Turkey's most-read woman writer and an award-winning novelist. She has published thirteen books, nine of which are novels, blending Western and Eastern traditions of storytelling, bringing out the voices of women, minorities, subcultures, immigrants and global souls. HERD is a musical and sculptural odyssey of epic proportions devised by Orlando Gough, bringing together community of makers, hundreds of local schoolchildren and many hundreds more members of music groups and soloists. Created with their own unique character, the 23 larger-than-life sheep are popping up across the district of Kirklees ths week, singing original compositions created especially for this project.
