We see through this story the forgiveness that comes from Jesus, not the condemnation. For Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save it (John 3:17).

The details in this story remind us that this world is not our forever home and it is important to share the hope we have through Christ with those around us before it is too late.

We are reminded of the reality that, much like the first two servants, true believers of Christ grow in Him and bear fruit for the world to see unlike the third servant who took what the master had to offer and buried it.
