Hi Mama, I’m so happy you’re here! This podcast will provide hope, encouragement and practical solutions for everyday living so you can stop barely surviving, start fully thriving and get back to feeling like yourself faster!!
Hi, I’m Stephanie. A mom of 4, wife and Jesus lover. I was almost defeated by postpartum depression after the births of my first two children. I was flailing and afraid in therapy, burnt out by a support system that didn’t understand, and completely drowning in overwhelming daily tasks and emotions.
I finally realized that if I wanted to survive, much less thrive, the next time had to be different.
For my next two children, I created and then successfully implemented a plan that constantly reminded me that there was a light at the end of the tunnel, and eventually allowed me to overcome postpartum depression and fully thrive as a mom.
If you are ready to find hope, knowledgeable support and practical steps to reign in the overwhelm that you can implement today, then this podcast is for you. I promise you are not alone and that there IS hope!
So take a second to close your eyes…take a deep breath in…exhale…and let’s take that first step together. Here we go!

Hi Mama, Are you terrified by thoughts you never expected to have, constantly questioning what they mean, or wondering what kind of mom could possibly have thoughts like these? Have you been struggling with intrusive thoughts, overwhelming anxiety, checking, researching, avoiding situations, or constantly needing reassurance that everything is okay? What if those thoughts don’t mean what you think they mean—and what if you can learn to stop letting fear control you and start finding your way back to yourself? In this episode, we're talking about postpartum OCD, what it can look like, why intrusive thoughts can feel so terrifying, and 5 practical strategies to help you interrupt the cycle of fear, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. I share from my own postpartum depression journey and what it was like to sit in my cream-colored IKEA chair after the birth of my daughter, feeling afraid of my own mind and questioning what my thoughts meant about me as a mom. But I’ve learned that an unwanted thought is not the same thing as an intention, a fear is not a desire, and having an intrusive thought does not make you a bad mom. We’ll talk about how intrusive thoughts can attack the things you care about most, why repeatedly checking or seeking reassurance can keep the anxiety cycle going, and how you can begin teaching your brain that you can feel uncomfortable and still be okay. We’ll also talk about why shame loves secrecy and how sharing your struggle with a safe person can begin to break the isolation, along with simple grounding techniques like the 5-4-3-2-1 exercise and reminding yourself, “I am here,” “I am safe in this moment,” and “This feeling will pass.” Most importantly, I want you to hear this: you can feel like yourself again. Your thoughts do not define you, your anxiety does not define you, and your hardest moments do not define you. You are still you, and there is a version of you on the other side of this season who laughs again, connects again, and feels peace again. Mama, you are not alone, you are not your thoughts, and there IS hope. You've Got This Mama! Hi Mama, Are you avoiding newborn pictures because you don’t feel like yourself, don’t feel beautiful, or simply don’t want reminders of how difficult postpartum has been? Have you ever wondered whether you can love your baby deeply while still struggling with postpartum depression, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions? What if taking just one simple picture today could become a meaningful reminder for your future self that you were there, you loved your baby, and you made it through? In this episode, we're talking about three reasons why taking newborn pictures can actually help a mom struggling postpartum—and why waiting until you feel “better” may mean missing moments you can never get back. I share from my own postpartum depression journey and how much of that season I wanted to disappear from because I didn’t want pictures or reminders of how unlike myself I felt. But looking back, I’ve learned that newborn pictures are not about capturing perfection. They can remind you that you were present during a difficult season, help you recognize the love that existed alongside the struggle, and give your future self memories that cannot be recreated. We’ll also talk about why you do not have to feel joyful, beautiful, or completely healed to deserve to be included in your baby’s story. You can take simple pictures without a fancy outfit, perfect house, or big production. You can love your baby and still need help. You can acknowledge that postpartum was incredibly hard while also recognizing that it contained moments of love and beauty. Mama, you deserve to be in the memories too. You've Got This Mama! I share from my own postpartum depression experience and the deep loneliness I felt even when I was surrounded by people who loved me. We’ll talk about how support groups remind you that you are not alone, provide a safe place to be honest, help you learn from other moms, offer encouragement when your own hope feels gone, and create genuine connection beyond simply finding information. You’ll also learn what to look for in a healthy support group and why the right community should make you feel supported, not ashamed. Hi Mama, Have you ever wondered what happens when a mother experiencing a severe postpartum mental health crisis doesn't get the help she desperately needs? Can you feel heartbroken over what happened to Lindsay Clancy's children while also feeling compassion for the mental illness and healthcare failures that may have played a role in her story? And what if the darkest moments of someone's life aren't the whole story of who they are? In this episode, I'm sharing something much more personal than I normally do. With the Lindsay Clancy trial currently taking place, I felt like I needed to talk about it—not just as someone who has followed this case, but as a mom who has personally experienced severe postpartum depression and what it was like to be admitted to an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I share some of the most difficult parts of my own experience, including why I felt like I had to lie my way out of psychiatric care because I was afraid of what would happen if I told the truth. I also share my thoughts on what we've heard so far in the Lindsay Clancy trial, the ways I believe our mental healthcare system is failing mothers in crisis, and why I don't believe compassion for Lindsay and heartbreak over the loss of her children have to be mutually exclusive. Most importantly, I talk about why I refuse to judge another mother solely by what happened in her darkest moments—because I don't want to be judged by what happened in mine. You've Got This Mama! Mon, 08 Jun 2026 - 12 - 11. If You’re Sick of Feeling Lost in Postpartum Depression, It’s Time to Find Hope Again
Hi Mama, What if feeling “lost” in postpartum depression doesn’t mean something is wrong with you—but that you’ve been trying to carry too much on your own for too long? Are you wondering why nothing seems to be helping, even though you’re trying your best every single day? And what if hope doesn’t have to return all at once—but can come back in the smallest, quietest moments? In this episode, we’re talking about what it really means to feel lost in postpartum depression and why that feeling is often not a sign that something is wrong with you—but a sign that you’ve been carrying more than any one person was meant to carry alone. I share part of my own journey of questioning who I had become during postpartum depression, wondering why simple tasks felt so overwhelming, and believing that I should be able to handle everything on my own. We unpack how postpartum depression can leave you feeling disconnected from yourself, why overwhelm is often mistaken for personal failure, and how shifting the question from “What’s wrong with me?” to “What do I need right now?” can begin to create space for healing. We also talk about how hope often returns through small, repeatable moments—not dramatic breakthroughs—and why support is not a bonus in recovery, but an essential part of the healing process. If you've been feeling lost, alone, or discouraged, this episode will remind you that you are not broken, you are not failing, and you do not have to find your way through this by yourself. Thu, 04 Jun 2026 - 11 - 10. This Is What Actually Helps When You Feel Lost in Postpartum Depression
Hi Mama, What if the reason you feel so lost in postpartum depression isn’t because you’re doing something wrong—but because you’re carrying too much alone? Are your days feeling overwhelming before they even begin? And what would change if you stopped trying to fix everything and focused on simply getting through the next small moment? In this episode, I'm talking about what actually helps when postpartum depression leaves you feeling confused, disconnected, and stuck. I explore why carrying everything internally can make the struggle feel even heavier, how simplifying your days can create more emotional breathing room, and why support, structure, and honest connection are often the things that help you find your footing again. If you've been feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next, this episode will remind you that you don't have to do more—you may simply need more support. You’ve got this Mama! Hi Mama, What if you can’t snap out of postpartum depression—no matter how hard you try? Are you expecting yourself to feel better by now and wondering why you still feel stuck, heavy, or overwhelmed? And what if hope isn’t something you have to create—but something you can borrow when you can’t find it yourself? In this episode, we’re talking about what it really looks like to walk through postpartum depression when it feels heavy, exhausting, and unchanging. I share part of my own journey of waking up every day determined to “feel better,” only to end each day feeling defeated and wondering why I couldn’t just fix what I was feeling. We unpack why postpartum depression is not something you can simply push through with willpower and how shifting from “I need to fix this” to “I just need to get through today” can begin to lift some of the pressure you’re carrying. We also talk about borrowing hope from others when your own hope feels out of reach, noticing small evidence that this season is not permanent, and staying gently connected to something bigger than your current pain. If today feels too hard, this episode will remind you that healing does not require perfection—and that even in the middle of the heaviness, there is still hope. You’ve got this Mama!
