  • 4 - 3. YP Guide to Carbon Conscious Places

This week, YPG’s Chloe Rutland and Tom Pemberton are joined by Heather Claridge, Principal Design Officer at Architecture & Design Scotland, where most recently she has been leading the body’s work on Place Planning for Decarbonisation. On the podcast, Heather discusses her own career and the recently launched Carbon Conscious Places report, which explores how planners and urban practitioners can design for a changing climate. The report examines how planners and built environment professionals can use a “whole-place” approach to meet the challenges of our profession in terms of doing our bit to address the global climate crisis. The report encourages built environment professionals to rethink how we all live; move about; support town centres and become more self-sufficient.
