Chris Poppe will be reviewing the selection processes over the last week and Luxembourg Eurovision Song Contest 2024: Interview with Tali (Luxembourg 2024): Vicky Leandros Press Conference: After an absence of 31 years Luxembourg returns to the Eurovision Family with Tali who on 27 Jan 2024 won the first Luxembourg Song Contest and with this the ticket to represent Luxembourg at the contest with the song "Fighter". Salman and JP were at the contest in Luxembourg and conducted interviews with the participants. This week listen to the interview with Tali from Luxembourg but as well the Eurovision Winner from 1972 representing Luxembourg - Vicky Leandros was part of the Press Conference of which Radio International will air excerpts from. Vicky Leandross represented Luxembourg twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1967 it was with "L'Amour est blue" coming fourth and then the victory in 1972 with the song "Apres Toi". The Luxembourg Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Interview with CHAiLD (Luxembourg National Final 2024): For the first time since 1993, Luxembourg returns to the Eurovision Song Contest. The National Final in Luxembourg - The Luxembourg Song Contest 2024 is scheduled to take place on 27 Jan 2024 from the Rockhal in Esch sur Alzette with eight acts battling it out for the ticket to Malmoe in Sweden where the 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be staged on May 07, 09 and 11, following the victory of Loreen from Sweden in 2023 with the song "Tattoo". Luxembourg has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest thirty-seven times since debuting in its first edition of 1956. The country has won the contest on five occasions: in 1961 with "Nous les amoureux" performed by Jean-Claude Pascal, in 1965 with "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" performed by France Gall, in 1972 with "Après toi" performed by Vicky Leandros, in 1973 with "Tu te reconnaîtras" performed by Anne-Marie David, and finally in 1983 with "Si la vie est cadeau" performed by Corinne Hermès. Melodifestivalen 2024 - The Returnees (Part 3): On 01 December 2023 Swedish Television announced the 30 acts and artists that will be competing in Sweden's National Final to the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 called Melodifestivalen. Lars "Lasse" Berghagen    Tribute to Lars Berghagen (Sweden 1975):  Sad news hit the Eurovision Community on 19 October 2023 as it was announced that Swedish Singer / Songwriter / Show Host Lars "Lasse" Berghagen has passed away at the age of 78 following complications during a cardiac surgery. Lars represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 with the song "Jennie Jennie" coming 8th. Also he wrote the theme songs to two of Sweden's most popular Summer Sing-a-long shows: Allsang pa Skansen and Lotta pa Liseberg which is still being used until today. Radio International will broadcast a tribute to Lars Berghagen on the show this week to remember and celebrate his work, music and life. Also JP will be joined by David Mann for the Eurovision Birthday File and Eurovision Coverspot. The Eurovision Spotlight is presented by Chris Poppe as the new series of Sweden's History at the Eurovision Song Contest.
