They worked extremely hard, and we were broke for a very long time. I grew up wishing for more security, stability, and freedom over my own life.I don't have a programming degree, and never took formal education for IT or workflows. I learned it all myself from YouTube videos like you're watching now.As for my path: I started my first business at 19 in college. We threw events (mostly parties) at campus bars, and charged people for entry. That failed to provide me enough money to pay my bills, so at 21, I started another business, a door-to-door marketing agency.From there, every year, I would start several companies, over 10 in total. I did this in a variety of industries, like e-commerce, photography, videography, SaaS, credit repair, etc. Each grew slightly more profitable, until, at 25, I would start 1SecondCopy, a content writing company. A friend and I eventually scaled that to over $90,000/m. It was my first taste of financial independence, and the reason I'm here today.Since starting my journey, I've grown a fair bit of capital. To diversify my income, at 30, I began investing in other businesses and advising companies on how to grow in the AI era. These include SaaS businesses, like Clairvo, agencies like Dental Connect, and more. Collectively, the businesses that I own outright or are a part of generate over $10 million per year. This returns far more than the 5-10% you would get in the stock market, but also requires a lot of my active time. There's a tradeoff there, but I greatly prefer active investing, where I have control over the entities I'm a part of.It wasn't easy to get here. But I did in the end! I did this in a variety of industries, like e-commerce, photography, videography, SaaS, credit repair, etc. Each grew slightly more profitable, until, at 25, I would start 1SecondCopy, a content writing company. A friend and I eventually scaled that to over $90,000/m. It was my first taste of financial independence, and the reason I'm here today.Since starting my journey, I've grown a fair bit of capital. To diversify my income, at 30, I began investing in other businesses and advising companies on how to grow in the AI era. These include SaaS businesses, like Clairvo, agencies like Dental Connect, and more. Collectively, the businesses that I own outright or are a part of generate over $10 million per year. This returns far more than the 5-10% you would get in the stock market, but also requires a lot of my active time. There's a tradeoff there, but I greatly prefer active investing, where I have control over the entities I'm a part of.It wasn't easy to get here. But I did in the end! They worked extremely hard, and we were broke for a very long time. I grew up wishing for more security, stability, and freedom over my own life.I don't have a programming degree, and never took formal education for IT or workflows. I learned it all myself from YouTube videos like you're watching now.As for my path: I started my first business at 19 in college. We threw events (mostly parties) at campus bars, and charged people for entry. That failed to provide me enough money to pay my bills, so at 21, I started another business, a door-to-door marketing agency.From there, every year, I would start several companies, over 10 in total. I did this in a variety of industries, like e-commerce, photography, videography, SaaS, credit repair, etc. Each grew slightly more profitable, until, at 25, I would start 1SecondCopy, a content writing company. A friend and I eventually scaled that to over $90,000/m. It was my first taste of financial independence, and the reason I'm here today.Since starting my journey, I've grown a fair bit of capital. To diversify my income, at 30, I began investing in other businesses and advising companies on how to grow in the AI era. These include SaaS businesses, like Clairvo, agencies like Dental Connect, and more. Collectively, the businesses that I own outright or are a part of generate over $10 million per year. This returns far more than the 5-10% you would get in the stock market, but also requires a lot of my active time. Mine is a little unconventional, but I thought I'd record a video for you on it.TLDR:- I know a lot of people have defined schedules (say, work "starts" at 7:00am), but personally I've always operated best when I prioritize my sleep and then let the rest follow.- My schedule is loosely structured around maximizing 'deep work' time. I usually get at least 4 hours/day, sometimes more. If you're unfamiliar with this concept check out Cal Newport's Deep Work.- My priority is my business. So I spend most of my time on it, especially soon after I wake up. I do not frontload 'holistic' activities like meditation, deep work, cold plunges, etc. There's time for that later.- I don't burn out because I don't view my business time as strenuous or challenging—I view it as fun! I'm playing an infinite game with infinite people and I wake up most mornings feeling great about it. Wanted to talk about a concept called *iterative testing* in this video—basically the only way I build my Make.com scenarios in 2024. TLDR: start at the end and work your way backwards, run every module before you connect a subsequent one to it, and do just one end-to-end test at the end (as opposed to dozens throughout the building process). This returns far more than the 5-10% you would get in the stock market, but also requires a lot of my active time. Looking to create a beautiful frosted navbar with TailwindCSS? Lucky for you, Tailwind makes it incredibly easy to get started. Uploaded 28-02-21It takes maybe 30 seconds tops: 1. Add a bg-opacity utility class to the parent div to make navbar transparent. I used bg-opacity-80 in this video, but you can use whatever level you'd like.2. Add a bg-clip-padding class to the parent div to constrain the blur effect.3. Create your own custom CSS class (I called mine blur-backdrop-filter, for instance) that includes a backdrop-filter: blur(6px) property.
