Well, what a Walker Cup that was. Andrew and Iain have made their respective early flights back from the south-west of Ireland and join Eddie to discuss one of the most dramatic events, not just in golf or indeed sport, but in the history of human kind. We hope that does it justice. There is obvious praise for the GB & I side and discussion of who might have the most success in the professional game. Speaking of which, we also review events in the Alps where Thriston Lawrence showed that there actually is something better than a fit PC as he took down Paul Casey on the fourth extra-hole. Eddie gives us his thoughts on his own form as he looks forward to a meeting with the Don at the Irish Open and Andrew and Iain look forward to a trip to The Netherlands for the Solheim Cup. Andrew is still hunting for a wayward drive somewhere, so Iain and Eddie once again hold the fort and bid farewell to major golf for the year with a round-up of The AIG Women's Open. There's plenty of discussion of the dramatic finish as Esther Henseleit holed a monster putt to take it into a play-off, then saw a cruel human ricochet end her hopes with Shiho Kuwaki keeping the title in Japanese hands. There are reflections on the performances of Lottie Woad and Charley Hull, while offering thoughts on Charley's caddy prank, before both Eddie and Iain then realise they are in no position to criticise.

With Andrew applying the finishing touches to his bumper colouring-in book, Eddie assumes the presenter’s seat buoyed by an encouraging return to action in Turkey. Iain (aka 'The Badger') is also happy with signs that show his golf isn’t quite as hapless as he feared. But the conversation is dominated by events on and off the course at the top of the game. They discuss a slow play penalty at the Turkish Open where there was a heartwarming winner, although we’re not sure whether it happened in Asia or Europe. Eddie and Iain also consider a dominant but dull win for Cameron Young and an equally emphatic win for Nelly Korda, while also getting into the possible demise of LIV Golf. HAIL THE CONQUERING HERO... except for the four players ahead of him whom he didn't quite conquer. It was a great weekend for Eddie though as he finished 5th in the South African Open and is still in Stellenbosch to give us all of the details, including a hot putter, an unplanned equipment change and a caddie who simply enjoys it all too much. There is also discussion of Shane Lowry's meltdown at the end of Cognizant Classic in Florida and his admirable post-round chat with the media. The three then talk about the layers which are now clearly forming in the professional game and find time to praise the talent in British Women's golf as well as Chris Wood on the MENA Tour. They then wonder if Andy Murray will lay on a private jet to get Eddie back in time for a practice round ahead of the Sunningdale Foursomes. If he doesn't, he's just not taking it seriously.

This week two become three again as Iain returns from his travels to tell us that he's going travelling again, but also to join Andrew in asking Eddie if he thought he should have made more of an effort in getting to Kenya. There then follows a series of reflections on what Eddie - and indeed all humans - want from life.

In golfing terms they discuss Jon Rahm's refusal to pay his fines and whether it leaves him out in the Ryder Cup cold, Jacob Bridgeman's win at Riviera, Nelly Korda's stay-at-home attitude and Eddie's preparations for the SA Open at Stellenbosch.

Reasons to be cheerful this week. Not - you will be unsurprised to hear - from Andrew, but from Eddie who, despite a tough final round on the greens of Fancourt is bullish about his form. The two of them discuss that, as well as an incredible performance from Anthony Kim providing LIV, for all their millions spent, with their greatest story.

There is also mention of Collin Morikawa getting back to winning ways at Pebble Beach and Charley Hull making house alterations after her triumph in Saudi Arabia. Then Andrew takes a lemsip-inspired deep dive into the the rich history of Karen Country Club, where Eddie is among those playing in this week's Magical Kenya Open.

Still just a two-ball this week where Eddie reflects - in a surprisingly positive way - about his MC in the Qatar Masters and he and Andrew both wax lyrical about the golfing talents of Patrick Reed who, having defected from the Saudi Arabian collective, simply romps around the rest of the Middle-East.

With Eddie travelling all day on Monday it was a Sunday recording of the pod, so it's left to Andrew and Mabel (sorry Richard) to chat about Chris Gøtterup's latest win, in Phoenix.

There is also mention for the biggest prize of the week going to one of the youngest players - Elvis Smylie won the LIV opener in Riyadh in front of a crowd approximately the same size as the audience annoying Eddie in a Doha cinema.

How do we find consistency in golf? That is the question vexing Eddie at the moment after his trip to Australia where he led during the Australian Open, yet still failed to make the weekend. Q-School is in session and Eddie has safely negotiated stage 2. Unfortunately the same can't be said for some expensive possessions as he admits that the frustration of hitting the ball as well as he ever has was not matched by his putting.

And yet... he gets to stay on in Barcelona to prepare for stage 3, while Iain has arrived in Dubai ahead of the two big end of season events on the DP World Tour. There is further chat about James Morrison finding his way back to the main tour, Tom McKibbin earning his way to the Masters and The Open as well as a mention of the Chinese Tiger Woods, changes to the Old Course and a sponsor's invitation for perhaps the best connected 18 year old in the game.

So... that's that for Eddie on Tour this season. Despite (partly) enjoying the DP World India Championship in New Delhi - and also playing a lot of good golf - one quadruple bogey ended his weekend chances and now he's back, shivering and trying to explain himself while wearing three coats in his own home. But we discover that Eddie does now intend to go to Q-School, thus ensuring more drama for the podcast in the weeks to come.

There is obviously plenty of praise for Tommy Fleetwood and his latest victory in a season which, according to Andrew and Iain, puts him firmly in the top-three golfers of the year. Meanwhile Andrew tries very hard not to start a coup in West Africa or escalate tensions in the South China Sea. And Iain recommends a film starring an actor called Leonardo DiCaprio, so hopefully that will give a boost to the fellow's career.

An eagerly-awaited serving of TCF as Eddie gets to tell us all about the Dunhill Links experience where he showed more than a few glimpses of what he can do and where he belongs. This week Eddie has returned from the mountains, where he produced a performance that has inspired him to consider a major equipment change. There is also mulling over the Atlantic imbalance, whereby those who lose their cards on the PGA Tour have the opportunities to play some often terrible golf on the DP World Tour.

Of course the European Ryder Cup team gets a mention and we hear from captain Luke Donald about his selection, where he has done little more than swapping Danish twins. All three decide it's probably best that Luke didn't go rogue and pick Peter Odemwingie.

A more pertinent debate comes with discussing who might fill the two realistic places available for Europe's Ryder Cup team. Is Harry Hall in the frame to become the first Cornishman to play in the match? Will Marco Penge's late run be enough or are DP World Tour events just too minor? Is the late Dame Thora Hird a decent outside bet?

In an endearingly self-deprecating description of this episode we would say that it's about twenty minutes longer than it needs to be. But there really is a lot to talk about with Eddie entertaining us all at Trump International and finding a top-10 finish on the main tour again. Yet even in finding form he still flirts with the darkness and is starting to cause some concern to Andrew, Iain and his many TCF followers / stalkers. Saturday night at The Open Championship: Andrew and Iain once again convene in the media centre to discuss the third round, wondering if anybody can stop Scottie Scheffler from winning his first Claret Jug and his fourth major, but more than that, they discuss whether he is actually exciting to watch or if his mastery of the game is actually quite dull. They ponder both that and the hero worship for Rory McIlroy while also hearing from Eddie out in Germany again, who managed to salvage his third round at the Hotel Planner Tour event with a storming finish before enjoying another large steak. Probably.

Our first min-pod of Open Championship week which turns out to not be quite so mini. Andrew and Iain meet up on the first tee to have a chat and watch various golfers tee off in their final practice rounds before it all gets underway on Thursday. In the process of which they fail to identify Cameron Adam - Royal Burgess member, former Scottish Amateur champion and St Andrews Links winner. Feeling so ashamed they have decided to dedicate this pod to him. Here we are then - Monday of Open Championship and Iain and Andrew are together (two desks apart) in the media centre at Portrush, while Eddie joins from the highest point of his house to look ahead to the greatest golf tournament of them all. First, though, there are reflections on a wondrous finish to the Evian Championship and another stellar performance from Lottie Woad, which is likely to be her last as an amateur. We round up the Scottish Open and consider the form shown by various leading lights and we hear from Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry ahead of the big show.

An episode reflecting on a third major title for Scottie Scheffler and one which was many hours in the making do to overwhelming technical incompetence. Andrew and Iain kick things off from either side of the Atlantic as they look at Scheffler's composure under pressure to win the US PGA, as well as remarking upon the contrast between the eloquence of Jon Rahm in describing his near-miss and the refusal of Rory McIlroy to speak to the media after his frustrating week. Eddie then joins and an hour later after after an hour of recording some podcast gold, they start again as our wandering Tour pro realises that he hasn't pressed record.

At the second time of asking they explain why an illegal driver is not nearly as dramatic as the internet has suggested, wonder what has happened to Brooks Koepka, heap more praise on Mimi Rhodes and ask Eddie when we can expect to see him back on the golf course.

It's USPGA week and the greatest players in the game are gatheringfor the second men's major of the season. An intriguing first round of the Masters is done. Dusted. Andrew and Iain convene on opposite sides of the Atlantic to discuss it all, with Justin Rose finding himself in a very familiar position of leading at Augusta. But with Scottie Scheffler tied for second alongside Ludvig Åberg, the defending champion looms large in his bid to make it three wins win four years. And what in Heavens to Betsy happened to Rory? Cruising along and seemingly in control, two double-bogeys in the last four holes have made his task a whole lot more difficult.

Our final big preview episode for the 2025 Masters in which Andrew and Iain persuade Eddie to join them from the United Arab Emirates, so that they can all share their relatively informed thoughts on what might happen over the next four days at Augusta National. Iain is invited round to Laurie Canter's very nice house to sit down and have a chat ahead of a Masters debut for Eddie's best man. We also hear from a very relaxed Rory McIlroy as he once again takes most of the attention in the build-up to what might or might not be the final leg of a Grand Slam. There is still time for a discussion on some deeply unimpressive viewing figures for LIV at the weekend, and for the Eddie die-hards there is also something of a preview of his latest tournament, where our intrepid Tour player seems most concerned that he can't find any butter or sugar in his accommodation for the week.
