  • 3957 - "Acts Like This Have Consequences": Campus Agitators Test Universities' Limits

After weeks of anti-Israel protests, many are still ongoing across college campuses, despite universities warning of consequences for the illicit acts of disorder. Protesters at Columbia University in New York City were threatened with suspension if they did not clear out their encampments by a given deadline. The demonstrating students responded by violating the deadline and barricading themselves inside a campus building. Former Republican Governor of Indiana and former President of Purdue University Mitch Daniels joins the Rundown to discuss universities' responses to the demonstrations, what consequences the students should face, and how they are disrupting other students' college experiences. The Biden administration postponed its proposed menthol cigarette ban until after the 2024 election. The Food and Drug Administration has attempted to ban the product several times before; however, increased pressure from Big Tobacco and certain members of Congress has delayed the move in the past. Research shows that Black Americans prefer menthol cigarettes to regular ones, and many feel that a ban will have a negative effect on the community. Former Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams joins us to discuss why menthol cigarettes are much harder to quit than regular ones, why minority groups prefer them, and why young Americans gravitate toward e-cigarettes. • 3956 - Evening Edition: Republicans Begin Investigation Into Federal Funding For Universities

House Republicans announced they will be launching an investigation into federal funding for colleges and universities that seem to be doing nothing about anti-Semitic protests. The investigation could lead to schools being denied funding while they allow pro-Palestinian encampments that are getting more violent. FOX's John Saucier speaks with Rep. Kevin Hern, Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, who says the protests have been crossing the line of American decency and more can be done about them. • 3955 - How President Trump's Legal Troubles May Help Him In The Election

Election Day is now just 27 weeks away, and many polls are giving former President Donald Trump the advantage. This is despite his multiple legal troubles. President Biden, on the other hand, is losing ground with key Democratic voting blocks, like African Americans, who are unhappy with his handling of the economy, the border and multiple foreign conflicts. Arnon Mishkin, the Director Of The News Decision Desk, joins the Rundown to explain what’s behind President Trump’s polling lead and why an acquittal in his criminal hush money trial could be a huge boost for his re-election hopes. New numbers released by the Federal Reserve are causing alarm as core inflation rose over the last month, leading to fears of "stagflation". Hopes for rate cuts have been stifled as fed chair Jerome Powell warned earlier this month that without a drop in inflation, the fed will not make such a move. While spending remains strong, homebuyers face skyrocketing interest rates and low housing stock. Co-Host of the Big Money Show on FOX Business Brian Brenberg joins to discuss the impact that inflation is having on the economy, why the housing market has cooled off, and what needs to be done to slow inflation and boost investments. Plus, commentary from former Congressman, FOX News Contributor and host of the Jason In The House Podcast, Jason Chaffetz. (Image Via AP) Learn more about your ad choices. • 3954 - Evening Edition: Deadline To End Protests At Columbia University Passes

Pro-Palestinian protesters have defied an afternoon deadline to leave a tent encampment on campus. The defiance comes as the number of students and antisemitic agitators arrested at nationwide demonstrations has approached 900. Columbia has told students they will be suspended if they do not follow instructions to leave and the anti-Israel groups are calling on their schools to end any investments in companies that support Israel's military and their military operation in Gaza. FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Paul Mauro, former NYPD inspector and FOX News contributor, who says the first mistake was setting a deadline and then not enforcing it. • 3953 - National Security Threats Grow As President Biden Walks Tight Rope On Israel Policy

Anti-Israel protests continue across the nation as President Biden walks a fine line on the administration's support for military efforts in Gaza. This past week it was announced that the State Department was reviewing sanctions for specific Israeli Defense Force battalions accused of human rights violations, with Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to fight against any sanctions. Congressman Michael Waltz (R-FL-6) joins the Rundown to discuss the ongoing military campaign in Israel, why he voted against further aid to Ukraine, and the Biden administration's messaging on anti-Israel protesters. Fast fashion is all the rage these days. And why not? Cheap, trendy clothing made fast seems perfect for young shoppers who are on a tight budget, but always want to wear something new. The industry’s critics say the trend is hurting the environment and is reliant on inhumane sweatshops. Retail analyst and financial expert Hitha Herzog explains why the fast fashion industry is booming, some of the concerns surrounding it, and why customers seem not to care about the ugly side of trend.
