THAT'S A WRAP! The Fallout For Hope Team has raised $84,201 for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Because of our efforts children we will never, ever meet with have the surgeries the need, the chemo, oxygen and medicines to help them fight and the support their parents need to get through it all. To date, we’ve now raised almost half a million for St. Jude alone: $444,608.39 to be exact.
This year the team raised a total of $139,600 in 2023 for St. Jude, the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Project Hope.
Over 712 Streamers, Content Creators and Volunteers joined us this year, our largest team ever assembled, streaming from 86 countries.
The Fallout For Hope hashtag and all related its related streams, content, and posts from us and you reached 76.4 million people in 2023.
To date the team has raised over $610,639 for charitable causes, which is no small number and no small an impact on things that really matter and people who really needed our help and most importantly, hope.

We are still working on part 2 of Little Sanctuary of Horrors! Rushing to get it done. Had some issues with work and home the past few days that derailed things. Working this afternoon and evening on finishing touches.
We DID create a piece of bonus content I want to give to you all! Richard Loftus, our new editor and producer who will be helping me get things done faster, created a series of Halloween soundscapes. Growing up I have memories of that ratty old orange cassette tape blasting out our windows for trick or treaters, so I had an idea for us to create the first Fallout 76 trick or treating soundscapes to bring the horrors of Appalachia to your street and home. I'm incredibly proud of what he's created and as you'll hear, he is incredibly skilled at telling stories with audio. Elsewhere Commander Johns and Charles Bishop still are hunting for Hugo Warren, their trail ending at Sugar Grove. With the help of an old ally, they uncover dark secrets that raise even more questions about Project Lazarus and the Appalachia Experiment. The Judge is on the move, about to fire the first shot that will mark the beginning of the Battle for Appalachia. The board is set, the pieces are in place. It all starts now.

The holidays have returned to Appalachia and with it, a dusty band of wandering performers led by the enigmatic, yet haunted Lord Alastair Olivier (Wes Johnson). Still changed in spirit since performing, "A Christmas Carol" last year, a heart once cold has begun to thaw and with it comes the terrible yearning to recapture a lost memory. A rare collaboration from the factions in the region has resulted in the rebuilding of WSAZ-TV, West Virginia's first television. A lost holiday classic is about to be recreated and broadcast...but sometimes nostalgia can be a trap.
Staged as part of the Fallout For Hope charity drive to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are joined by Bethesda's Pete Hines with the who's who of video game voice actors from Fallout 3, 4 and 76 and beyond.

This episode is a bit different. Because this month has been all about the community joining together all over the world to help others, so this episode is much of the same. I am heartbroken to share that Ferret Baudoin, Bethesda Senior Designer and Lead Quest Designer and Lead Designer on Fallout 76 passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 15th following a fight with cancer. He had recorded lines for 2 multi-part episodes arriving next month: "Rusty Pick Raiders, Sugar Grove Secrets" and "...Meanwhile in Nuclear Winter".

This is Kenneth Vigue. I was carving pumpkins when a witch crashed into the bushes outside Vigue Manor deep in the Carpathian Mountains (of New Hampshire). She cursed me and the entire podcast crew by hurling us into an alternate reality where we takeover the Fresh Tomatoes Podcast this week and Chad and Simone from the Fresh Tomatoes Podcast take over ours! Ironically enough the hosts of that show are named Chad and Simone...
But don't worry, the season premiere of our show will be this Saturday!

In this original story written and edited by Chad Echakowitz, he and Simone are headed to a Fresh Tomatoes Movie Con when their plane crashes in Appalachia. After attempting to figure out the meta of a Fallout America, they meet Simon and Chad who see an opportunity to time travel to a better universe.

In our version of the Fresh Tomatoes podcast, Jessica and I sit down to review two of the films we watched during our CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story Halloween Drive-In event: Death Bed (1977) and Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959). Buckle up because this has everything from the Hell's Angels to KFC.

This minisode is something special. Created specifically for QuakeCon At Home, it served as the basis for our first machinima film, created in 4k using Fallout 76 gameplay footage as part of the community showcase. You’ll find the link to that on our social media channels and also up on our YouTube channel. This story takes us back to 1 year ago, just after the events of last summer that saw the Overseer unmasked as the terrifying Sickleman. We open just after her capture by the Five-0 New Responders and as we’ll discover, Chad, Simon and the gang had no idea that they had woken up something far older and hungrier than anything they have faced. It will serve as a prologue to our Season 2 opener coming next month. Look there, on the cover of that scuffed plastic VHS cassette case. It’s an image of a totem in the woods…filled with skulls…and slowly, candles are lighting themselves at its base. It’s calling out beyond the veil and into the void. And look there…see it…just beyond? There’s a shadow there…but before we get too ahead of ourselves, pop yourself some popcorn, put on some leg warmers and warm up that VHS player. Yesterday, to a global audience, Tom, Dave and I on the Fallout Hub joined Bethesda for QuakeCon At Home and aired a showstopping almost 2 hour variety showcase of music, interviews, games, sketches and more, including…my first machinima film which will be available on our YouTube channel shortly. To build some hype for our global debut, the cast joined together creating their own variety episode of stories and sketches with your favorite characters. Cody Hightower, Adam Silva and Kevin Chenard wrote the stories and shorts you are about to hear and Christian Mower, whom you know better as the lovable Punch produced them. This show ends with a prologue to our machinima, titled, “The Sickleman Was Here”. Our series of minisodes continues as you learn a little more about some of our most beloved characters while we are editing 2 different large-scale stories. For most of us, at one point or another in our life, we’ve experienced loss. Whether it be the death of a loved one, a friend, a job, maybe it’s the loss of a dream or ideal and the list goes on. It can be a painful and lonely experience, or it might even be relieving in some cases. At the end of the day though, it leaves a void in our lives. It changes us in some way or another. They say time heals all wounds, that’s not to say that life is ever the same, but life does indeed go on. In this minisode written by George Wolf we’ll learn a little more about Solomon and what he was like before he donned his robes to become the High Priest for the Mothman. You know life can be unpredictable, but we’ll soon learn that it’s not always about the perk cards that you are dealt as much as it is what you do with them that makes the difference. The saying goes “Tis a season and time for everything.” A time to mourn and a time to renew. There is also a time to go Simping for the Mothman…

It's now a few months since the events of Dark Hallowe'en and the holidays arrive in Appalachia. While Simon remains frozen and Chad and the gang celebrate a restored Susie (more on that next episode), a strange travelling caravan of performers arrives in Appalachia. Led by Lord Alastair Olivier (Wes Johnson), after their cast is decimated by a Scorched Beast, a casting call is held to refill their ranks and they get some fairly unusual responses. Staged as part of the Fallout For Hope charity drive to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are joined by Bethesda's Pete Hines and Sean Baptiste with the who's who of Bethesda voice actors from Fallout 3, 4 and 76 including Courtenay Taylor, Jan Johns, Craig Sechler and Mike Rosson. The curtain is about to open on their final rehearsal, and it goes about as well as you'd expect.

We last left Jake, Amata and Chad and the gang as they made their way back to Camp Wannagrindalot to where it all began, but the bodies are already stacking up. Jake and Amata wake up to an empty bed and Simon missing, while Brian gets some unsettling news that will shake things up at camp. The circle is almost complete. The stage is set in more ways than one, as Damon Toon's talent show quickly turns into a travesty. On a lonely stretch of road a body is found but somewhere beyond space and time someone lost is fighting to keep their sanity. In this multi-part special, Bethesda's Pete Hines returns as the Judge with special guest stars Oxhorn and Kevduit appearing as new faces in Appalachia. This is Kenneth Vigue….and I can FINALLY share some MASSIVE news with you. Back in December Alex Kane from Forbes Magazine contacted me and wrote an amazing article on the podcast. Since then the show has exploded with even more new listeners and subscribers that have tuned into our weird little post-apocalyptic podcast. More excitingly, that article caught the attention of Bethesda themselves who reached out to me early last month to ask if we would be able to do produce a LIVE stage show of a podcast episode at Bethesda Game Days in Boston during PAX East. We hopped on the opportunity immediately and I shelved where we were with Episode 11 to shift focus to developing a live performance. I was and am deeply honored for the opportunity and was even more surprised when I found out that the creative minds at Bethesda who created the world we create stories in has been listening to and enjoys this podcast. This will be the first time they have ever done anything like this, so I feel no small pressure in doing it well, so they embrace more community created projects in the future.
So, on Saturday February 29th at 3:30pm EST we will be taking the stage at the Westin Seaport Hotel in Boston at Bethesda Game Days to stage a 50-minute show. If you are going to PAX East, we’d love you to visit the venue, Laugh Boston, to see us perform and if not, fear not because Bethesda will be streaming it and all of the stage shows as usual on all of their social platforms: from YouTube to Twitch. It also won’t just be me up there, 12 of the cast were able to make the trip with the rest of the cast still participating in a way you’ll see. Between now and then you’ll see some behind the scenes vlogs and pictures of us prepping for the event and enjoying Bethesda Game Days courtesy of Zenimax.
Guest starring in this episode are a few of the Fallout 5-0, one of the best roleplaying Fallout 76 factions out there: its founders Ray & Lucy Middelthon as well as actor Brandon Ledford. All three of those voices will be familiar from Episodes 5 & 6, our Sickleman Saga where they performed as Commander Conner Johns, Lt. Kori Anders and Office Isaac Hawkins respectively.
