- 3530 - Our Corner of the Night by Barbra Streisand
Label: Columbia 44474
Year: 1968
Condition: M-
Price: $30.00
This Northern Soul number is truly a remarkable outing for Streisand... Not the sound she's best known for, but certainly pleasing! Check out the mp3 "snippet" of it. By the way, the tracks appeared on no Streisand album at the time, making this a non-album single. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. It looks Near Mint and has pristine Mint sound.Thu, 25 Apr 2024 - 3529 - Yester Love by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
Label: Tamla 54167
Year: 1968
Condition: M-
Price: $12.00
This is one of those lesser-known Miracles tunes that deserves better... Some folks may associate it with Stevie Wonder's relatively dreadful "Yester-You, Yester-Me...", but it shares nothing with that single but one word in the title. Credited to Smokey Robinson & The Miracles. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Motown Records factory sleeve. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Thu, 25 Apr 2024 - 3528 - Heart by Rockpile
Label: Columbia 60503 dj
Year: 1980
Condition: M
Price: $12.00
This is one of two great, hard-to-find singles released from the Rockpile album Seconds of Pleasure. Rockpile was a band formed by Nick Lowe and Dave Edmunds. Despite a couple of small, light scuff marks, the grooves retain pristine Mint audio.Thu, 25 Apr 2024 - 3527 - Don't Ever Let Me Know by Bobby Fuller Four
Label: Mustang 3016
Year: 1966
Condition: M-
Price: $25.00
What a terrific single... not only do you get an amazing cover of a great Buddy Holly classic, but the self-penned flip is what Power Pop dreams are made of! This was a non-album single. Note: This beautiful 45 has Near Mint labels. The vinyl also looks Near Mint, and the powerful audio sounds almost pristine! (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Wed, 24 Apr 2024 - 3526 - Oh Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison
Label: Monument 851
Year: 1964
Condition: M-
Price: $40.00
Both sides of this classic 45 record are credited to Roy Orbison and The Candy Men. This is a nearly pristine copy, one of the finest I've yet had in the store since opening in 2001! Note: This record comes in a vintage Monument Records factory sleeve. It has pristine Mint sound.Wed, 24 Apr 2024 - 3525 - Tempted by Squeeze
Label: A&M 2345
Year: 1981
Condition: M-
Last Price: $12.00. Not currently available for sale.
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original picture sleeve. This is one of the essential Squeeze singles. Not only do you get the great A side featuring one of Paul Carrack's best vocals ever, but also a terrific, previously unreleased B side. Note that Elvis Costello was co-producer of these tracks. "Tempted" was one of many fine recordings from their top-notch LP, East Side Story. Though the group had been huge in their native U.K. for several years, that album was the first one to garner any attention State-side, and this was their first chart single here. (Though, oddly, it wasn't even released on 45 rpm in the U.K.!) The single has a slightly edited version of the 4:02 album track. Note: This beautiful copy comes in its gorgeous picture sleeve grades Near Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio)Tue, 23 Apr 2024 - 3524 - People's Parties by Joni Mitchell
Label: Asylum 11041
Year: 1974
Condition: M
Price: $15.00
The hit A side is a delightful pop tune, but the real treasure here is the B side. (Yes, it's another one of those!) If you've ever felt a little awkward and out of place at a party, you'll know just what she's talking about! One of Mitchell's very best pieces of pure poetry... have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" to hear what I mean. It's also one of those very short songs I sing the praises of -- she sings an entire volume in under 2 1/2 minutes! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Asylum Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels. The vinyl looks untouched, and the audio sounds pristine Mint. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Sat, 20 Apr 2024 - 3523 - Promises by Eric Clapton
Label: RSO 1039
Year: 1978
Condition: M-
Price: $10.00
This is a beatiful copy, in its original RSO factory sleeve. Credited to "Eric Clapton And His Band." Note: This beautiful 45 has a little "bubbling" on the labels, which separately grade Near Mint. The vinyl looks untouched, and the audio sounds pristine! (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Sat, 20 Apr 2024 - 3522 - Girl U Want by Devo
Label: WB 49524 dj
Year: 1980
Condition: M
Price: $15.00
Stereo/Mono promo copy. This early single was released from the same album and just before their breakthrough hit, 'Whip It.' Though it didn't get much radio play at the time, it's definitely one of their 'greatest hits.' Note: This beautiful promo 45 record has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).Fri, 19 Apr 2024 - 3521 - Vacation by Go-Go's
Label: I.R.S. 9907
Year: 1982
Condition: M
Price: $14.00
This is simply one of the very best girl group songs of all time. Unlike their Sixties counterparts, though, these girls write their own songs, play their own electric guitars and drums, and sing about the lovelife of working girls who are way past sweet sixteen! Note: This copy has light storage wear that lowers the Vinyl grade to Near Mint. The labels and audio are pristine, and the picture sleeve is nearly flawless! (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Fri, 19 Apr 2024 - 3520 - Bang On The Drum All Day by Todd Rundgren
Label: Bearsville/Coll. 0330
Year: 1983

Price: $8.00
Originally released on Bearsville 29686. One of my wife's absolute favorites, it's gotta be in the Classic 45's jukebox! Seriously, if you don't know this one, you're missing out. Take one puff, and you'll be instantly hooked! :-) This is a new copy of the out-of-print Collectables reissue.Mon, 15 Apr 2024 - 3519 - Love Letters by Ketty Lester
Label: Era 3068
Year: 1962
Condition: M-
Last Price: $24.00. Not currently available for sale.
This gorgeous recording always gives me goose bumps, it's so powerful and such a great song and performance. Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet" to hear what I mean. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Era Records factory sleeve. It grades close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).Sun, 14 Apr 2024 - 3518 - Liar, Liar by Castaways
Label: Soma 1433
Year: 1965
Condition: M-
Price: $22.00
Amazing to realize that these guys fit this garage classic into less than 2 minutes! Yet it's absolutely perfect even at 1:52. By the way, this was a non-album single, as the group made no albums. Note: This beautiful copy has Near Mint labels. The vinyl (styrene) looks Near Mint as well, and the audio grades the same with almost no surface noise or other degradation.Fri, 12 Apr 2024 - 3517 - Mirror Of Your Mind by Joe South
Label: Capitol 2248
Year: 1969
Condition: M
Last Price: $15.00. Not currently available for sale.
On the B side of this classic hit is another reason why Joe South is so admired... here's a complex pop song that's part country, part soul, part psychedelic rock. Numerous tricky, interesting time changes and melodies make it a great find hidden on a B side. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. It has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).Fri, 12 Apr 2024 - 3516 - Still In Love With You Baby by Beau Brummels
Label: Autumn 8
Year: 1965
Condition: M-
Price: $20.00
This is a beautiful copy of the group's first hit single. By the way, the flip side is incredibly strong... hard to say which side I like better! I'm putting the B side in the "jukebox," since it's likely that fewer of you have heard it. Enjoy! Note: This 45 record has Mint labels and nearly untouched-looking vinyl. The audio also grades close to Mint. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Fri, 12 Apr 2024 - 3515 - Free & Red Hot (Part 1) by Shelly Black
Label: Vigor 1730 dj
Year: 1976
Condition: M-
Price: $12.00
Stereo/Mono promo copy. Talk about a sleeper! This under-appreciated 1976 gem was the only chart appearance (squeaking in at #95 on the Billboard Black/RnB Singles chart) for Ms. Black, who had an equally excellent followup single that likewise went nowhere in airplay and sales. I fell in love instantly and quickly put a snippet in the Classic 45s jukebox... Have a listen! Note: With pristine Mint labels, this beautiful copy's vinyl and audio aren't far from pristine. (This scan is a representative image from our archives; this is the promo copy.)Wed, 10 Apr 2024 - 3514 - No Sad Songs by Joe Simon
Label: Sound Stage 7 2602

Condition: M

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. Take a listen to this neglected classic, and tell me it doesn't make you wanna hear more of Mr. Simon's terrific 45's. What a great dancer!Tue, 09 Apr 2024 - 3513 - My Girl Has Gone by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
Label: Tamla 54123

From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy in its original factory sleeve. First issue, pristine mint! Some of these copies have a little wrinkling on the sleeve.Tue, 09 Apr 2024 - 3512 - When The Words From Your Heart Get Caught Up In Your Throat by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles
Label: Tamla 54162
Year: 1967
Condition: M
Price: $15.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy with a drillhole. Don't miss the terrific, neglected B side on this one!Tue, 09 Apr 2024 - 3511 - Night Train by James Brown
Label: Collectables 4273
Year: 1962
Condition: M
Price: $10.00
Originally released on King 5614. Following hot on the heels of the Mar-Keys' astonishing "Last Night" the year before, this recording was "instrumental" (sorry about that) in paving the way for the sound that became known as funk. With its staccato syncopated beats and short sharp strokes, "Night Train" was a major stepping stone in 1960's soul music. I'm putting a snippet of it in the jukebox not only because of its importance to rock'n'soul history, but also because, well, you just don't hear enough classic James Brown these days! This reissue, which has the gorgeous original Mono recordings of both of these essential James Brown tracks, is long out of print. This is a new, unplayed copy.Mon, 08 Apr 2024 - 3510 - Rock 'N' Roll Is King by Electric Light Orchestra
Label: Jet 03964
Year: 1983
Condition: M
Price: $10.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. One of Lynne's swan songs as ELO, this is also perhaps the group's very best rocker. Irresistible! This 45 has a slightly edited version of a 3:38 album track. On the B side is a non-album cut. Note: This copy has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).Sun, 07 Apr 2024 - 3509 - Zabadak by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich
Label: Imperial 66270
Year: 1968
Condition: M-
Price: $14.00
Here's a beautiful copy of one of this group's very best singles. The flip is a VERY strange psychedelic rock experiment.... The A side is just wonderfully strange. Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Imperial Records factory sleeve. It has looks new, with Mint labels and vinyl. The audio is very close to Mint with no distortion. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Sat, 06 Apr 2024 - 3508 - San Francisco Girls (Return of the Native) by Fever Tree

Last Price: $25.00. Not currently available for sale.
Both sides of this great Psych Rock single are specially edited from longer album versions of 3:58 and 3:45, respectively. Check out the mp3 "snippet" of my favorite segment from the song, highlighting the incredible fuzz guitar bits. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Uni Records factory sleeve. It has no notable flaws, grading Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio). (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Sat, 06 Apr 2024 - 3507 - Where Were You When I Needed You by Grass Roots
Label: Dunhill 4029
Year: 1967
Condition: M-
Price: $25.00
This is a beautiful copy of the Grass Roots' first hit single, which you'll note we award 2 stars ? our highest recommendation. That means we think that a collection of this genre of music (in this case, "Sunshine Pop" or even "Folk Rock") is incomplete without this single... it's essential! Note: This 45 record comes in a vintage Dunhill Records factory sleeve. It has Mint labels and Near Mint vinyl. The audio sounds pristine Mint! (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Sat, 06 Apr 2024 - 3506 - Solitary Man by Neil Diamond
Label: Bang 578
Year: 1970
Condition: M-
Last Price: $12.00. Not currently available for sale.
Does it strike you how often a singer's debut single turns out in retrospect to have been their greatest song, or at least one of their greatest? "Solitary Man" is not just a great song, it's a masterpiece in which Diamond writes of a personal pain in a way that makes it universal. Originally released as Diamond's first 45 on Bang 519, "Solitary Man" tanked on the National Billboard charts (reached only #55p) in 1966. This 1970 re-release did better, reaching #21 on the Billboard chart. Note: This beautiful copy has a Mint A-side label and Near Mint vinyl and audio.Sat, 06 Apr 2024 - 3505 - You Dropped A Bomb On Me by Gap Band
Label: Total Exp. 8203
Year: 1982
Condition: M-
Last Price: $10.00. Not currently available for sale.
Though they contributed mightily to the sound that made 1970s-80s funk so great, if I had to pick one to include in a list of the 1001 greatest singles ever made, it might very well be this one. For me, it would be hard to choose between this and "Early in the Morning," but we know how Dave Marsh voted. :-) By the way, this single has an edited version of the 5:10 album cut. Note: This copy has light storage wear, lowering the Label & Vinyl grade to Near Mint. The Audio is pristine Mint.Tue, 02 Apr 2024 - 3504 - Undun by Guess Who
Label: RCA 0195
Year: 1969
Condition: M-
Price: $25.00
Another great two-sided classic from this underrated group, showing what a truly serendipitous partnership Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman had formed. When he avoided going over the top on vocals (as he occasionally did), Cummings was a classic Rock vocalist with a gift for melodic pop hooks behind most of their big hits. Somewhat in the background, guitarist Randy Bachman could also write lyrics and tunes with the best of them, and he understood the importance of rhythm, rock's rougher edges, and how to seamlessly meld them with Cumming's pop instincts. Of course, he later proved he could form a different kind of rock band ?? one with that harder edge but with the catchy, Top-40 side of great Power Pop ? when he teamed up with vocalist Fred Turner in Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Here, the A side was the Top 10 hit, and the B side is nearly as famous. "Undun" features both lyrics and music by Bachman, and shows him waxing philosophic in his tale of a "fallen" woman. The arrangement is reminiscent of what Todd Argent had been doing with the Zombies, and in particular echoes their Spring 1969 hit, "Time of the Season."
This is the second pressing, with only one publisher (Dunbar Music Inc.) listed on the labels. Both tracks are specially edited versions of their respective album cuts (3:05 and 4:17). Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage RCA Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl look pristine Mint, and the powerful audio grades close to Mint, with almost no surface noise.

Label: WB 29746
Year: 1983
Condition: M-
Last Price: $10.00. Not currently available for sale.
This is a terrific edited cut from the 5:03 LP version, and it's this tune that ranks the highest of all the Prince singles in Dave Marsh's Top 1,001 Singles list. And as if the A side weren't reason enough to own this classic single, the B side is one of those super-special, non-LP cut offerings Prince managed to throw around for free on his 1980's singles. Note:Thu, 28 Mar 2024 - 3500 - The Switch by Village Choir
Label: SCM 1000

Amazing, creative arrangement putting down a great groove, with an over-the-top female vocal lead. Whew! This is a copy of the first pressing of the single... It was later picked up and pressed by Paramount. This was a non-album single (the group made no albums). Note: This beautiful copy has very nearly Mint labels and pristine audio.Thu, 28 Mar 2024 - 3499 - My Size by John Entwistle
Label: Decca 32896 dj

Here's a beautiful promo copy of this amazing single by Who bassist John Entwistle. If you haven't heard the amazing hard-rocker on the A side, you're definitely missing out on one of the best rarities in classic rock! Have a listen to the mp3 snippet in our jukebox to hear what I'm talking about. The flip is a more typical Who-sounding outing. Note: This copy comes in a vintage Decca Records factory sleeve. It has pristine Mint vinyl and audio, and the labels grade very close to Mint. Label: WB 19392
Year: 1991
Condition: M
Price: $15.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy... pristine Mint! Having been a big R.E.M. fan since their 1983 debut ("Radio Free Europe"), and then watching their career unfold... not always in a direction I was thrilled about... I remember being totally astounded to hear this one. Not only was it a magnificent return to their roots musically, but it's a simply superior pop song. Nothing simple about it, but it sounds so simple! And consider this: "Losing My Religion" has no chorus. How do you make a pop song a hit that has no hummable chorus? And yet on the strength of its music and lyrics — totally legible, it's so right-on as a tale of fragile, vulnerable love — "Religion" went on to become the biggest chart hit of the group's career. Deservedly so, and it anchored an album of similarly worthy note. As with most R.E.M. singles, the B side is a previously unreleased, non-LP cut. Dave Marsh included this single in his 1999 addendum to the original list of 1001 greatest singles, originally published in 1989. Note: This beautiful copy is pristine Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl, Audio).Mon, 25 Mar 2024 - 3496 - Elizabeth by Statler Brothers
Label: Mercury 814881
Year: 1983
Condition: M
Price: $9.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. This beautiful 1983 Country Chart-topper is one of my personal favorite Statler Brothers recordings. Check out the mp3 "snippet" I've added ot our "jukebox." On this 45, the song is backed by the original recording one of the group's most enduring hits, originally released in 1972 on Mercury 73315. Note: This beautiful copy has pristine Mint sound.Sat, 23 Mar 2024 - 3495 - Blue by LeAnn Rimes
Label: Curb 76959
Year: 1996
Condition: M
Price: $12.00
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy. Rimes' debut single not only landed on Dave Marsh's Top 1,001 addendum list but garnered her a Grammy for best Country song and best female Country singer. Note: This beautiful 45 record has pristine Mint audio and untouched vinyl. (This scan is a representative image from our archives.)Wed, 20 Mar 2024 - 3494 - Mr. Lee by Bobbettes
Label: Atlantic 1144
Year: 1957
Condition: M-
Last Price: $40.00. Not currently available for sale.
"Mr. Lee" is one of my absolute favorite Girl Group singles, not only because it was one of the first, but because the arrangement is so terrific (love that little guitar twang thang that pops up between vocals!) and the lead singer is so growl-ly passionate about her guy (even though he's a cad). :-) The B side is a keeper, too. This was a non-album single, as the group made no albums. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Atlantic Records factory sleeve. It looks almost new (Labels, Vinyl) and has powerful, pristine Mint sound.Sun, 17 Mar 2024 - 3491 - Nothing by Dwight Yoakam
Label: Reprise 17734
Year: 1995
Condition: M
Price: $6.50
From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy... pristine Mint. Hardly one of Dwight Yoakam's signature tunes, nonetheless "Nothing" is a great demonstration of the qualities that make him one of the greatest American singer/songwriter of the last 20 years. For me, Yoakam's willingness to bend the country music genre---to reach out and incorporate musical elements from from pop, rock, & soul---put him in with the class of heroes that made American music from the last half of the 1900's the worldwide phenomenon it became.Only the American melting pot could have produced Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Charlie Rich, James Brown, Eddie Cochran, the Dell-Vikings, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, John Fogerty, Buck Owens, Little Willie John, Ray Charles, George Jones, and all the hundreds of other pioneers of rockabilly, rock & soul. And it was those folks who, in turn, so inspired Britain's youth that the rock & roll revolution regained momentum and started rolling in whole new directions. Dwight Yoakam's muse reaches back into that melting pot, harmonizing beautifully with the qualities that made those early pioneers great. And this humble tune is simply a nice, seldom-heard example of Yoakam's genius. Note that both sides hit the country chart, as the rollicking rockabilly B side took off in early 1996. Unfortunately, despite Yoakam's clear "crossover" appeal, pop/rock radio has pretty much ignored him.
Wed, 20 Mar 2024 - 3489 - I'm A Man by Chicago
Label: Columbia 45467
Year: 1971
Condition: M-
Last Price: $11.00. Not currently available for sale.
These two great Chicago tunes have an interesting history as singles. "Questions" was the group's first single, released in 1969 on Columbia 44909, and it had a much longer version of the song than on later releases. That first single only climbed as high as #71 on the pop chart. The song was re-released in an edited version (one verse missing) on this single, backed by the group's dynamite cover of "I'm A Man", and finally made it to the Top 40 1971. This is that release, and a powerful two-sided hit it was (and remains)! By the way, "I'm A Man" is also a dramatically edited version of the 7-plus-minutes LP cut. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Columbia Records factory sleeve. The labels and vinyl grade very close to Mint in appearance, and the B side audio is pristine.Sat, 06 Apr 2024 - 3475 - Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard
Label: Mercury 870298
Year: 1988
Condition: M
Price: $20.00
The label indicates that the A side is edited from the album cut, but the difference is only 3 seconds; I suspect what is meant is that the 45 has a remixed version of the LP cut. Note: This beautiful copy has pristine audio. It comes in a nearly flawless picture sleeve.Wed, 03 Apr 2024
