Rich and Ally cover the story of another Australian athlete who has been excreting bodily fluids every which way including loose. There are some serious allegations made about Herring’s sexual preferences, but nothing has been proven. Plus Richard forgets the name of his favourite author. It can't be long now..

RHLSTP #627 - Sponge Bunnies -Rich is back at the Podcast Room and his guests are two of the world’s top magicians Penn Jillette (sadly without Teller, although let’s say he was there, you’d never know the difference and Piff the Magic Dragon, currently in the UK with their urine soaked magic show, Piff and Pop’s Magic Shop. Penn, who said before that he wouldn’t be saying much, says a lot and gives us some great background on his reluctant appearance on Miami Vice, Piff performs some audio-described magic (whilst not doing magic) and Rich regrets not having a posse, Piff then does some real magic, though it’s Rich who is really doing it. Rich finally gets them to talk about their new show which has an impressive denouement and Piff explains why it was better not to win America’s Got Talent. They don’t even get time to talk about Piff cloning his dog for $60,000 or any of the other stuff Rich had ready to discuss, but it’s a surreal and wonderful 45 minutes of mayhem.

Ed Fringe 2019 #21 - Nine Minutes -Rich has just hit the 200 average crowd he coveted and worked out just how much his landlord has made from each ticket sold and there’s an end of term atmosphere as he meets Flo and Joan and John Kearns. With Flo and Joan the talk revolves around time travelling gang bangs, Bros’ Cheddar antics, double act rivalry and memories of Tring.

With John, Richard is skittish from lack of sleep and counting down the time, but still manages to find out whether a plastic cup can substitute for false teeth and how the speaker of the House of Commons takes a shit. RHLSTP Book Club 190 - The Umbrella Man and Other Stories -Another remote Book Club where Rich talks to author Martin Fitzgerald about his book about the JFK assassination, which looks at everything from a very different perspective by examining the witnesses and not worrying about whodunnit. Was the Umbrella Man really signalling to all the assassins that it was time to shoot (and wouldn’t that be a bit of a distraction rather than a help)? What was it that attracted these people to the relatively quiet part of the route in Dealey Plaza rather than the ticker tape of Main Street? Is it possible to understand the amateurish nature of the detective work from a 21st Century perspective? Why did some witnesses hog the limelight whilst others disappeared immediately and did some people insert themselves into the story who weren’t there? How did the racism endemic in Dallas at the time affect the responses of the African- American witnesses? What effect did the assassination have on Dallas as a whole? And how easy is it to be a reliable witness or a truly impartial judge of what happened? It’s a terrific book and a really interesting approach to the event and I thoroughly recommend it.

They discuss not knowing how to wear trousers or shake hands, his inappropriately named dance group, challenging your childhood religion through comedy and why that was potentially more perilous for Eshaan, than Richard, whether it was right that Eshaan ended up doing the brown voices on Spitting Image, not wanting to be the spokesperson for any community or being forced to challenge inequality, when you believe yourself to be everyone’s equal. The show included an erudite and interesting alternate point of view from an Asian member of the audience, which sadly was not picked up by the microphones, but which we hopefully discussed fairly nonetheless. Plus the story of a twisted testicle with a happy ending

Thursday 19th March 2026 - Bigfeet - Rich and Ally are back to give you all the news the lame stream media doesn’t want you to see. Today they’re looking at whether the very convincing 1967 footage of a Big Foot walking through a forest is a real Big Foot or just a man dressed up as a Big Foot. With special report from a forest somewhere.

His guest hates the English and so Rich has deliberately brought him to the most English place on earth to see what fireworks ensue - it’s the brilliant Vittorio Angelone. They chat about whether it’s a dick move to win every day of House of Games, how Vittorio might have been a professional percussionist, the huge success of his podcast Mike and Vittorio’s Guide To Parenting, how the title of his new show “you can’t Say Nothing any more” is so good, it doesn’t actually matter if the content is funny (it is), playing the Hammersmith Apollo and a new take on why Love Actually is a terrible film and why you should let Richard Curtis know on social media.

Rich is old and flagging and his brain isn’t working too well, so there’s lots of waiting around for him to remember things. It’s going to get worse as time goes on. Please bear in mind his age before criticising. He is 58.

Wednesday 11th March - Crossing the Rubicon - Rich and Ally are back for the shoddiest Newsround yet, as they look at the worst person in the world, a man who cloned his beloved pet. Was it a waste of money when animals reproduce for free? Should you put all your eggs in one basket? What about a ventriloquist dummy/human hybrid? It’s all utter nonsense today. They can’t all be gold.

Friday 13th March 2026 Faeces and Thyme (Time) - Rich and Ally are back after a brief break to bring you all the Roman poop news that you could want.
