Our God is a global God. The church needs to be a global church. Today you will hear several accounts from missionaries that this church supports both locally and internationally as we focus on Matthew 28:19.

Missions should be a priority in all our lives. Missions is influenced by God's power and meeting needs. This sermon focuses on Acts 1:1-8. How are you being a witness for the Kingdom of Jesus?

August is Missions Month at Hillcrest Christian Church. Nathan Davenport, recruiter at Pioneer Bible Translators, shares from 1 Samuel 11-1-4. Jesus Christ is the hope of the world. He has the power to transform lives by bringing hope to a hopeless situation. Listen as Nathan shares many inspiring accounts where that has taken place throughout the world.

Love must be sincere and without hypocrisy. It must be true. As a church family we are to be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Romans 12: 9-10 emphasizes these actions.

This is the third and final sermon in a series pertaining to the study of God's Word. The text is from John 15. The Christian faith is not an isolated faith. We are not meant to live life by ourselves. We have access to God and His power. Do not be prideful and abstain from asking for prayer. Only God can do the work of God.

"Living in the Vine," a new sermon series, draws from John 15:1-8. Bearing fruit means pruning is necessary. We need to abide in Jesus in order to bear fruit.

This is the last in a series on "Generous Living," focusing on 2 Corinthians 9: 7-8. Generosity goes beyond our finances. There are many practical ways to serve as a body of Christ. He will give us everything we need to do these things.

Rory Green, from Compass Christian Church, shares from Psalms 23. God promises to be with us when we are afraid. He is not afraid of our pain because He has chosen to experience it Himself. When you trust that God is in control, you have everything that you need.

The final message from the Sermon on the Mount series focuses on Matthew 7:24-8:1. If you desire to be an effective Christian, seek wisdom from God. Are you building your life on the rock or on the sand? When God speaks, will you follow?

It's easy to become distracted and lose sight of what's important--and that is to worship God. Deuteronomy 9:12-27 describes one of many instances where Israel was distracted. God spared Israel through the mediation of Moses. Jesus came down from heaven to stand in the gap for us as sinners. He has made a way for us to be reconciled with the Father.

We have two choices in life: following the wide road leading to destruction or following the narrow road leading to eternal life. When we find Jesus we can live life to its fullest. Greg Pruett, President of Pioneer Bible Translators and author of "Extreme Prayer," was a guest speaker today. Prayer is the strategy that powers the church--that powers the mission of God. Prayer sustains the body of Christ. There are many verses in the Bible that emphasize this: Mark 11: 15-17, John 14: 12-14, John 15, John 16: 23-24, Luke 18: 1, Matthew 18: 19-20, and others.

When we pray bold prayers, it's not unlikely that we're going to face spiritual opposition. The sermon text, taken from the book of Acts beginning with chapter 1, gives the early church's response to Jesus' mission. It's the same mission He gives us. We must be devoted to prayer.

There must first be a change in the human heart to see a change in our community.

Nate Massey shares from Romans 8, the "Mt. Everest" of all of Paul's writings. Although we live in uncertain times, we do not need to live in a spirit of fear. Nothing will separate us from God's love.

Glenn Simmons utilizes Matthew 25:1-13 and 1 Peter 3:15 as encouragement to us to always have an answer for the hope found within and to lay up our treasures in heaven, not on earth. Jesus' return will be both a great and terrible day.

Nate Massey shares from the following texts for Mother's Day: Proverbs 1: 8 & 9, 1 Samuel 1:27-28, Matthew 11:28, 1 Peter 5:7, Psalms 62:8, Luke 1:33-38. 2 Timothy 1:5 and 3:14, Romans 16:13, Acts 16:1, and Proverbs 31. Motherhood is a high calling. Children belong to God before they belong to their parents. Before God set the foundation of the earth He all ready knew us.

Nate Massey utilizes Philippians chapter 1 to encourage us to be open to be used by God for the advancement of the Gospel. Your partnership in the Gospel depends on how surrendered your life is in Jesus. How can you make an impact for the glory of Jesus?
