This is not a new concept, folks. Ryan has been saying it for nine years on this show, over twenty-seven hundred episodes, and he was right then, just as I am right now. This show has called it at the time, consistently.

Think about it. These free agents, by definition, are players who couldn't secure a long-term deal with their original team. There is a reason for that, folks. These are not always the cream of the crop. These are often players with red flags: injury history, declining play, age-related decline, or just being wildly overvalued by desperate teams trying to paper over bigger cracks in their roster with a big name. And yet, every single year, you get these jagoffs on the Twitters, screaming about why "we" did not go out and spend a billion dollars on some guy who is going to be a bust in two years, or who will demand a trade when things get tough. It is maddening to listen to. It really is.

We all want our guys locked up. But here's the kicker, and this is what I absolutely love: Kraft explicitly stated, and I quote, "I will be on the field to play for the Green Bay Packers, regardless of any contract situation, because I love this team, and you can't replicate this locker room anywhere else in the N F L."

Look, that is exactly the kind of player you want. That is the mentality that wins championships, people. When we talk about fairness and transparency in player discipline, the N F L often works in mysterious ways, and sometimes those ways feel a little bit like a double standard. If there is more to it, if there is video, if there is something they know, then it needs to come out, because otherwise, it just looks… off.

Tucker Kraft caught four passes and scored a touchdown in practice, and Big Sal is convinced this is the moment the Packers offense starts looking like the freight train he has been promising.
