October 19, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 37 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 26-19 road win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday to move to 4-2 on the season. Alex and I discuss the team's health coming out of its sixth regular-season game and that includes the team losing two CB Brandin Echols (hamstring) during its Sunday contest. We go over Steelers HC Mike McCarthy having to work through an injury on Sunday as well. After covering the Monday morning NFL news that relates to Indianapolis Colts GM Chris Ballard and Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, Alex and I go over the Saturday transactions that the Steelers made. That includes us discussing WR Roman Wilson being placed on the team's Reserve/Injured list. We discuss what the loss of two more wide receivers might mean for the offense. The Steelers Sunday inactive list included seven players, so we go over those that were listed in addition to discussing the transactions that the team made on Saturday. Sunday was a very productive and historic day for Steelers RB Jaylen Warren, so Alex and I make sure he gets plenty of praise for his play on Sunday against the Colts. The Steelers’ offense really looked good overall against the Colts, so we start on that side of the football as part of our game recap. We discuss the play of the offensive line, the blocking from the wide receivers, key throws made by QB Aaron Rodgers, and the play of TE Pat Freiermuth. The Steelers posted a lot of YAC on offense against the Colts so we discuss how that played a huge part in Sunday's win. While the Steelers certainly played well enough defensively on Sunday to win, they still allowed the Colts offense to register a fair share of explosive plays. The unit did, however, accomplish the main goal of limiting Colts RB Jonathan Taylor on Sunday and that played a huge part in the win. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday to move to 2-1 on the season. Alex and I discuss the team's perceived health coming out of its third regular-season game in addition to going over the seven players who were inactive for that contest, one of which was once again CB Joey Porter Jr. The trade chatter surrounding Porter Jr. continued to pick up over the weekend so Alex and I go over the possibility of him being jettisoned to another team before Thursday night. The Steelers offense really looked great against the Bengals, so we start on that side of the football as part of our game recap. We discuss OG Brock Hoffman and OT Max Iheanachor starting against the Bengals on the right side and how both players performed really well. RB Jaylen Warren had a fantastic game on Sunday as did QB Aaron Rodgers. We discuss the effectiveness of the running game against the Bengals and especially when using 12 personnel. The Steelers schemed up several great plays on Sunday with three of those resulting in touchdowns. As great as the offense played on Sunday, Alex and I discuss a few other plays that could have been made in the win. While the Steelers certainly played well enough defensively on Sunday to win, they still allowed the Bengals' offense to move quite easily throughout the game. Even so, we discuss how the defense got big plays from DT Cameron Heyward and DT Derrick Harmon in the fourth quarter to help secure a key AFC North victory.
