台北的第一座大橋，全長700公尺，是1889年劉銘傳為著大稻埕賣茶的生理起造。後來日本人改做鐵橋，號做台北大橋，是台北八景之一。這集講這座橋的身世，嘛講大橋頭的發展和佇戰後的變化；對大橋頭看台北市的歷史。

Taipei's first major bridge, 700 meters long in total, was built in 1889 by Lâu Bêng-thoân for the tea trade of Tōa-tiū-tiâⁿ. Later, the Japanese rebuilt it as an iron bridge and named it the Taipei Bridge, one of the "Eight Scenic Views of Taipei." This episode tells the story of this bridge's history, as well as the development of the Tōa-kiô-thâu (bridgehead) area and its changes after the war — viewing the history of Taipei City through the lens of Tōa-kiô-thâu.

Taiwan didn't originally have dairy cows, but these days, everyone has milk to drink. It took a while to get here. At first, foreigners milked local cattle. Then the Japanese brought in proper dairy cows. After the war, people learned to mix powdered milk. Over a hundred years or so, milk went from a rare tonic to something we drink every day. Along the way, there were some odd chapters too: people once fed milk powder to pigs, and dairy farmers sometimes struggled with too much milk in winter. This episode tells the story of how Taiwan came to drink milk.

Gold is extremely expensive these days, but Taiwan actually had its own gold in the past. This episode traces the history of gold mining and looks at how Yan Yun-nian rose from a police patrolman to a mining tycoon. O͘ Bîn-siông is a prominent writer and a pioneer of the Taiwanese language movement. He has authored many books; the essay collection Journal of Murrysville compiles 156 articles he wrote between 1992 and 2002. This book describes how he articulated the profound nostalgia he felt for his home while living in North America, and chronicles his observations of nature, his thoughts on the Taiwanese language, and his hopes for Taiwan.

Lîm Liân-hông is a junior high school chemistry teacher. He has won major awards in both Taiwan's education and literary circles: the Su-to̍k-chióng (Teacher Recognition Award) and the Taiwan Literature Award. 〈慢啼的大隻雞〉 (The Late-Crowing Rooster) is the first piece in his book, 《屁窒囡仔的謝師宴》, and it describes the first school he taught at and his first group of students. The entire book recounts his experiences as a teacher, his journey from the countryside to Taipei to study and work, and also the hardships and wisdom of his parents' farming life.

The Keelung Ghost Festival is a major annual event. Hideo Murakami painted the lively scene of this festival in his "The Ghost Festival in Keelung" in 1927. In summer, Taiwanese people eat liáng-miàn (cold noodles) paired with miso soup. How do you say "liáng-miàn" in Taiwanese? And how do you say "tāu-chhài-mī" (bean sprout noodles) in Mandarin? From this, we can see that although both are types of noodles eaten cold, their origins are not the same. Liáng-miàn came from elsewhere, but later became a dish with unique Taiwanese characteristics. From the evolution of liáng-miàn and tāu-chhài-mī, we can see how we integrate different culinary traditions and cultures, transforming them into a delicious Taiwanese flavor.

小城綾子自2010年開始寫台語小說。伊寫ê小說攏抾佇《月落胭脂巷》這本小說集。伊寫的小說主題真闊面，家庭婚姻、選舉買票、算命問事......。〈來好阿媽欲轉去〉是內面ê一篇，是寫老大人的照顧，伊搬去佮囡仔蹛市內發生的代誌。這篇是第二屆台文戰線文學獎短篇小說的頭等。

I siá ê siáu-soat chú-tê chin khoah-bīn, ka-têng hun-in, sóan-kí bé-phiò, sǹg-miā mn̄g-sū... "Lâi-hó A-má Beh Tńg-khì" sī lāi-bīn ê chi̍t phiⁿ, sī siá lāu-tōa-lâng ê chiàu-kò͘, i poaⁿ-khì kap gín-á tòa chhī-lāi hoat-seng ê tāi-chì. Chit phiⁿ sī tē-jī kài Tâi-bûn Chiàn-sòaⁿ Bûn-ha̍k-chióng té- phiⁿ siáu-soat ê thâu-téng.
Sió-siâⁿ Lêng-chú began writing Taiwanese novels in 2010. The novels she has written are all collected in the anthology《月落胭脂巷》（Moonset on Rouge Alley）. The themes of her novels are very broad, covering family and marriage, vote-buying in elections, fortune-telling, and more. 〈來好阿媽欲轉去〉（Lai-ho A-ma Wants to Go Home）is one of the stories in the collection; it is about the care of the elderly and the events that unfold after moving to the city to live with one's children. This piece won first prize in the short story category of the Second台文戰線（Taiwanese Literature Battlefront） Literary Award.

Divination and fortune-telling are very common in Taiwan; in the past, they were even practiced as games by children. "Koan-sam-koo͘," or the "Séance of the Third Aunt," was a game played by girls during the Lantern and Mid-Autumn Festivals, which later merged with the practice of "koan-lo̍h-im" (séances to visit the underworld). So, what is the story behind "Koan-sam-koo͘" and the related "Í-á-ko͘o" ? How is the ritual performed? And why were only women and children allowed to participate? The tale of Koan-sam-ko͘ is a frequent subject in folk literature. In this episode, we'll delve into her story.

Liú Chheng-liāng published her first collection of essays in 2017. In the words of today's young people, she is a female writer who was 'delayed' by farming and business. She was born in a large family in the countryside, has worked various jobs, and later ran a business with her husband. These life experiences have filled her works with compassion, gratitude, and wisdom.

《愛母語，不是愛選舉》是陳豐惠老師1996年參加國代選舉的時，出版的冊。冊名就是伊的政見。毋過這本冊的內容佮選舉無啥關係，內底有1首詩佮11篇散文，寫真濟女性的經驗佮陳老師的想法、理念。

"愛母語，不是愛選舉" is a book published by Tan Hong-hui when she ran for National Assembly election in 1996. The book title is her political platform. 1990年代𤆬頭陣寫台文的女性作家無幾个，張春凰是其中一位。1994年伊出版台灣第一本台語散文集《青春e路途：我e生活台文》。伊用台語寫旅行、寫花草、寫家庭、寫科學智識，伊欲寫逐人攏看有的台文，予台語文變做逐人使用的語言。伊猶做真濟台語事工，這集介紹張老師佮伊的頭一本冊。
1990 nî-tāi chhōa-thâu-tīn siá Tâi-bûn ê lú-sèng chok-ka bô kúi ê, Tiuⁿ Chhun-hông sī kî-tiong chi̍t ūi. 1994 nî i chhut-pán Tâi-oân tē-it pún Tâi-gí sàn-bûn-chi̍p 'Chheng-chhun e lō͘-tô͘: Góa e seng-oa̍h Tâi-bûn'. I iōng Tâi-gí siá lû-hêng, siá hoe-chháu, siá ka-tēng, siá kho-ha̍k tì-sek, i beh siá ta̍k-lâng lóng khòaⁿ-ū ê Tâi-bûn, hō͘ Tâi-gí-bûn piàn-chò ta̍k-lâng sú-iōng ê gí-giân. I iáu ū chò chin chē Tâi-gí sū-kang, chit chi̍p kài-siāu Tiuⁿ lāu-su kap i ê thâu chi̍t pún chheh.
In the 1990s, there were few female writers who wrote in Taiwanese, and Tiuⁿ Chhun-hông (張春凰) was one of them. In 1994, she published Taiwan's first collection of prose writings in Taiwanese, 'Chheng-chhun e lō͘-tô͘: Góa e seng-oa̍h Tâi-bûn'. She wrote about travel, flora, family, and scientific knowledge in Taiwanese, aiming to write Taiwanese text that everyone could read, to make the Taiwanese language become a language used by everyone.She has also done a lot of work for the Taiwanese Language Movement, and this episode introduces Mrs. Tiuⁿ and her first book.
