  • 24 - Africa Podcast - Episode 3 - Part Two

This is Episode Three, Part Two of the ContinentalDrifters.ca Podcast, featuring Rob Sweatman, Adam Pateman, and Stewart Gary (with Beth and Natalie who somehow stuck it out and survived 10 weeks traveling with us through Africa), as they update the world about their trip through Africa. Part three was recorded live Busua, Ghana, where we had been camping on the beach for the last 5 nights. This podcast covers from the end of Episode Two (when we camping on a rooftop in Djenne, Mali) and includes our travels across West Africa, which included a 5 day trek into Dogon Country and travel by bus through Burkina Faso and Benin to the Atlantic Coast. From there we ditched the bus as traveled West towards Ghana, which would be the last few weeks of our trip. This podcast has a bitter/sad tone for most of it, but we had just packed up and we're parting ways with Adam, who was taking the bus (and our portable audio recording device) directly to Accra, en route to North America. We were also still a little bit angry with our former travel companions, and all of these frustrations come out in the form of venting. But it was the way our trip went, just thought that i would leave a warning.

  • 20 - Africa Podcast - Episode 2.5 - Crickets

This is an extra installment of the ContinentalDrifters.ca Africa Podcast, which features Rob Sweatman, Adam Pateman and Stewart Gary as they update the world about their trip across Africa. This is just the peaceful sound of crickets and other African bugs chirping in the evening. This clip can't be traced to one exact place, as we spent many nights camping in our 10 weeks, but it's defiantly a pleasant memory from our trip.
