Huge discussions around origin sides and pretty well come to the conclusion that NSW cannot possibly lose this game just on face value. Which is fine, still looking forward to the game and you never know... The Dogs and Penrith played out a classic on Thursday night, doesn't get easier for the dogs this week up against the Broncos. A couple of sell-out stadiums on a Saturday afternoon for the NRL was absolutely great to see! We need someone to stand up in Aussie top order before this summer's Ashes, who will it be? Plenty of AFL news with around Carlton and Richmond at the tribunal as we recorded, we will see how many weeks Tom Lynch gets. UFC 317 was an absolutely cracker of a card with knockouts galore! April fools' jokes are flying around everywhere so be careful what you get sucked into this week. One thing is certain and that is the Sheffield Shield final was an absolute belter! Highlighted how much better the long format of cricket is. Buzz Rothfield decided to pour a tub of mayonnaise on a news story regarding high tackles in the Rugby League. Carlton and the Demons are on everyone's agenda after they are both in trouble for season 2025, if Carlton can jag a win against Collingwood this week it will turn their season around. Min Woo Lee got his first win on the PGA tour, absolutely love seeing a bloke with a bit of character get a win, not to mention a win for Australia! One of the best shows of the year so far, we had a heap of fun and so many bloody laughs! Barbs has given Gropes a new job during the Group 1 segment so we will have to see how he does each week! Had to cover the big story of DCE and Manly obviously but what an A grade carry on! Bit of mis communication and classically blown out of proportion? We hope everyone hangs in there in the south east corner of QLD this weekend, big Alf is on his way so quick! Get out and buy 650 rolls of shit paper NOW! Vegas weekend is over for another year and we think it will only keep getting better and better, big props to the Jillaroo's. Yes, the poms absolutely have some work to do but can't take anything away from the girls. Penrith and Cronulla showcased the game perfectly in the blockbuster clash, and we are pretty sure Canberra won the comp after their celebrations post match. You would think there must have be some rescheduling in the AFL opening round with games set to be played in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Looking forward to a cracking game of Friday Night Footy with the Swans and Hawks at the SCG. Great effort on the No Limit card from Vegas Larfield and Liam Wilson. Fair bit of heat in the Wilson fight but good to see the boys shake hands and sort it out post fight. Ya wouldn't believe it but there was a bit of controversy in a big boxing bout between Tank Davis and Lamont Roach, wouldn't be a big fight without it. Everyone will be gee'd up for Alex Pereira this weekend at UFC 313, very interesting to see what his opponents game plan will be! Chucky Sanders very stiff not to get captain of the week again after his effort in the Dubai Desert Classic, but this show is ruthless. We are right in the thick of sport at the moment with the champions trophy underway, NRL and AFL seasons on the verge of starting, unbelievable boxing/UFC fights, Group racing heating up and even the V8 supercars was off its head last weekend! Josh Inglis take a bloody bow what performance against the poms in our opening game of the champions trophy, barely got out of second gear and put on an absolute clinic all be it on a road. Trial games in both codes of footy before the Vegas weekend and the start of the 2025 NRL season on Sunday. Hudson Old and Morgan Smithies decided to get the party started early, just a classic case of jet lag and the boys on edge! How good was the V8's finish on the weekend between Cam Waters and Broc Feeney! Surely what they were doing was not allowed but it made for great television. Two Aussie UFC title fights coming right up please and thank you; I think the whole world will be rooting for Jack Della Madalena when he fights for the Welterweight title against the jock sniffing Belal Muhammad. How good is beating the poms. Women's Ashes well and truly under way with Australia taking a 2-0 lead in the ODI series. A long way to go but a great start for the girls. Big bash brilliance all round from Smith, Maxwell, Matt Short all playing outstanding innings for their sides. We've been getting into the big bash this year, something about it! Bit of Kyrgios chat after his early exit from Aussie open, lets move on from him and look ahead to our other Aussie superstars performing at Melbourne Park. Sam Goodman has had his heart ripped out after another head cut ruling him out of the fight with Inoue. Word is that he has lost his chance to fight him for now, which is super dissapointing for him. The Gold Coast Turf Club must have done something seriously wrong to somebody because they just have the worst luck in terms of racedays. Bad weather again means the magic millions meeting moves to Friday. Some huge names return to the trials this week, a lot of Chris Waller runners which is super exciting. Tommy is back with his motorsport segment, big coverage of Daniel 'Chucky' Sanders in the Dakar Rally, what an absolute legend and we wish him all the best for the remaining rounds! A monster first show of the year, which it was always going to be! Returning after a couple of weeks hiatus we catch up because we genuinely didn't see one another since the last punt show. Huge recap of the whole 5 test matches starting with Perth and finishing with a cracking ending in Sydney for the pink test. What a massive last 'weekly' show for the year. The fat man Paul 'fatty' Vautin announced he is stepping away from all duties at channel 9, we reminisce on the days of the footy show and what an absolute larrikin and all-around champion of the game the fat was. Australian rugby looks to have turned a corner, narrowly going down to No.2 ranked Ireland on Sunday morning after a huge defensive effort, all signs point up! Rugby AU need to do whatever they can to retain Joe Schmidt for the 2027 world cup. The F1 season for the constructor's championship will go down to the wire at the season finale in Abu Dhabi, and lets hope the FIA stewards are more on the ball this week than they were in Qatar. We were very lucky this week to have a chat with Annabel Neasham, her and her partner Rob Archibald are training our Written Tycoon colt 'Zemoreya' so she came on the show to give us a little background about herself and where she came from, what lead her to become a successful trainer here in Australia and what her thoughts of Zemoreya were. It was great insight and we can't wait to work closely with her. Tommy is steaming after a looong day, Gropes is almost a zombie on nightshift but we still show up for yas. We were wound right up last week so we come in with a nice fresh attitude on this week's edition of The Reggies. Tom Miles gets cleared of all charges and is to resume normal duties as RRLC pest/punter reminder. We get into all things fighting, recapping a brilliant fight card in Texas (minus the main event). Amanda Serrano was absolutely robbed by the judges, but what a brutal display of women's boxing her and Taylor put on. What does Jon Jones do now? Only he will know. Did we save the back fence? Bulldog Richie was very lucky to escape squeeze of the week after his rubbish rumour. It's draft day for the AFL, where will Levi Ashcroft end up going? No.1? No.5? Surely Richmond make the Lions pay full price but reports say different. The summer of cricket feels like its finally here! First test this Friday after sweeping Pakistan in the T20i series. Are we going to see the batsmen dominate the series or will the bowlers continue to dominate test cricket? What about Mitch Marsh, full circle moment coming up this summer for him. The boxing Day test in 2018/19 against India was his darkest day in cricket, getting boo'd by Australian fans. He is now an Allan Border medallist and world champion. We NEED to get behind him and give the biggest roar at the MCG on boxing day when he comes out to bat to erase all memories of the boo's. The tide has turned in a few segments! Jace turned the Old Boys segment on its head last week with a massive trifecta. A little bit of early crowing went on but none the less the young guns are back! B1 Button got his bets in nice and early this week after boycotting last week. Barbary is back on one of his own, and a few of us have followed him in! Variety galore in the group 1 this week with no less than 8 horses spread throughout the bets. The Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes may look a 2-horse race but surely there is more depth to it? The Betr dart of the week almost landed on the ultimate juju, but we've ended up in gate 22 of 22 and can't wait to see the specials delivered to us by our amazing partner BETR.

An official statement was released from Jace on behalf of The Reggies Podcast in relation to a certain RRLC post. Not sure what we had for lunch but everyone was on edge and wound up like a jack in a box! To get us going we discuss to the rumours of a potential rule change to the NRL kick off, followed up with non-interested rugby league players, followed up with the Australian cricket team, and finally into the men's netball dance squad. On a much more positive note, the chopperroos won another world title, Australian rugby had its best day in the sun for god knows how long, and Lizelle Lee (what a cricketing name) made 150* for the Hobart Hurricanes in a WBBL game. How good is racing! Derby Day was a mixture of emotions, Melbourne Cup Day was a bloodbath, Oaks day was mehh, and now we are ready to launch into the final day of the Flemington carnival....Champions Day! The Group 1 Champions Mile looks to be the best race all year on paper, let's hope it lives up to it. The laptop was back from the repair shop so we got a good look at how it's shaping up with only 5 or so weeks to go in the season. The Betr dart of the week lands on a very good hope, the greyhound had all the juju but did it perform? Also has anyone seen Button? Had to edit his bets into the show as we dunno where he is! Derby Day aka Christmas Day is upon us once again! The best day of racing all year, nothing but quality from races 1-9 at Flemington and sprinkle some golden eagle in Sydney and we have ourselves a smorgasbord. Barbs is well and truly up and about after last week's demolition, but he gets reminded of a little error he made when discussing the cox plate winner Via Sistina's chances last week. We must swing in the Old Boys segment, it's getting very desperate after Rocket gained another 40 odd units for the Old Boys last week. Another big episode this week covering no less than 5 sports. Bit of chit chat from the RRLC over the week, covering a few topics of discussion including whether the footage of barbs was him being kicked out of the hammo last weekend. We cover the AUS v NZ game and the Samoan v England game, second game of the 2-test series coming up this weekend which Tom is furious about. India and England, our two biggest rivals in the cricketing world have both had shockers this past week and we are absolutely all over them! 5-0 coming up this summer against India or what? If nothing else that will be an absolute spectacle for Sammy to be a part of. The Rugby League and AFL off seasons are in full swing Reggies! We discuss the Ezra Mam situation, the GWS Giants Wacky Wednesday situation and give an honest light-hearted opinion of both. The pacific championships have begun for both the men and women with a big win for the jillaroos, a scrappy win the kangas and how good was seeing PNG win. They love footy! The AFL should change the trade period to 12 hours because that’s when all the deals get done, the draft order is set (for now) until 47 picks get shuffled around during early November. Timmy Tszyu suffered a devastating loss on Sunday and hasn’t the social media world turned on him. Not us! We will stick by Timmy forever. The UFC this Sunday should be a cracker with both the co-main and main events looking like mouth-watering fights. Massive show after a couple of massive weekends of golf for both Jace and Gropes. After all the build-up and excitement of the scramble final, there may have been some choking go on. Ned Brockman is an absolute weapon; he will sleep well for the next 400 weeks. The Pacific Championships start this weekend, the AFL trade period has laid dormant for 8 days but we FINALLY had trades on Tuesday. Plenty of cricket including Sheffield Shield, England making 800 in a test match, Joe Roots arse and a few bits of big news regarding Steve Smith and Cam Green for the upcoming summer. Baseball and Amercian sports got an unexpected plug so no doubt we have got several facts incorrect and can't wait to hear all about it from The Reggies community. Heaps of boxing yarns from the weekend including a couple of Aussies absolutely killing it in their divisions. As per usual there was plenty of controversy in the main event but hey, that's boxing! The Reggies are officially back as a threesome and who doesn't love a threesome! Catch ups were in order after Gropes went missing for 2 weeks, he has returned large and in charge and ready to lead the Reggies into battle this summer. You cannot get a better weekend than this. Deep into spring, the weather is perfect, we’ve got a long weekend filled with carnival racing, NRL grand final, a UFC Card, just stop it! Groper’s last show away and he calls in with an absolute belter, proving once again that he will never surrender. AFL season is done and dusted and what a win from the lions, no team more deserving. It’s pretty obvious that Queensland still gets it. Wonder how big the Vegas trip will be this year. Although their friends across the code in Brisbane are making big moves with kevvy out, Mage in and the boys discuss their thoughts on the whole saga and if Mage will go Major Payne on the boys this off season. We dive into the pommys typical antics in the cricket, although the cricket gods prevail and the aussies take the win as we always do, where’s ya moral victory now England. What a Sunday we have ahead of us with some Rugby league biffing and the biggest day of the year on the rugby league calendar. How good are Sundays.
