Matt and Ash hate the Easter long weekend.

Last weekend, Lola turned the big three. 

When it rains, it pours, leaving poor Lola afraid that no one will turn up to her party, but even Ash makes the trek. Matt may have left the catering at the last minute and may have also spent waaay too much on a fruit platter. 

Ash is dealing with a gremlin child who crawls into Mum and Dad's bed every night. Oscar has somehow managed to smuggle a foreign crunchy object into the bed that freaks out Ash.

Matt and Laura took the kids to a great new park. Unfortunately it was cut short as Laura's coffee went right through her and the park didn't have toilets. Also worth mentioning that Lola still hates Matt but he's trying his best to turn things around.

Ash has reached his Facebook marketplace limit - he now flat out refuses to have any involvement with his wife's transactions. He's even gone as far as locking himself in the toilet when he hears a buyer knock on the door. Good news is April's never made more money flogging off their old furniture.

One of Matt's mottos when it comes to parenting is 'always follow the path of least resistance'. Over the weekend, this path led him down to his local cafe with Lola who brought along a slightly inappropriate item with her. Turns out Lola is into BDSM.

We start this episode with an update regarding Lola's hatred of her dad - the poor, desperate, lonely Matty J. You know which dad has kids that don't hate him - Ash.

It might be because he's an all-round great guy or maybe it's the fact that he's saved his kids countless times from the ferocious animals that reside in Warriewood (geckos). Also worth noting that he caught and released a mouse during the week. Doctor Dolittle eat ya heart out.

Matt found himself in an awkward situation at the park during the week after some school girls tried to sell him some cake. Only issue is that he didn't have cash and they didn't accept card. The solution? Matt asked for their home address so he could drop some money in their letterbox. As you can imagine - it didn't go down well.

We're bloody lucky to be releasing this ep today - whilst Ash was mid-jog through the lovely streets of Warriewood, he was approached and threatened by none other than... Mr Freeze himself !!! Luckily he runs like the wind and survived to tell the tale. Ash has also found a New Years resolution list that is arguably one of the world's best.

Matt has moved into the bach pad (spare room downstairs) after Laura contracted mild pneumonia and a horrendous cough. Dont worry.. after many sleepless nights, Matt is finally feeling much better. Happy to also confirm Laura made a full recovery.

WE'RE BACK BABY !

Matt's transition into Ash has continued as he realised that Christmas is actually the most stressful time of the year and he's happy to see the back of it. The fact that he and Laura decided to remove Lola's dummy during this month might have had something to do with it. For reference, it's going terribly.

As you can imagine, Ash had a lovely time with his extended family during Christmas. As he always says - the more family, the better! Nan had nothing but praise in regards to the new calendar she brought to the senior citizens clubs (ps there's still 40 left online). Although Ash did have to reprimand her for a word she called Oscar at a public pool.

Ash has just returned from a relaxing little weekend away with some families from his mother's group. Whilst he was on the shitter, he noticed a strange note on the door in front of him. Turns out, the house they were staying out was stricter than a nun's convent. The most important rule? Never talk about the rules on a parenting podcast, which Ash was happy to break.

Matt also had a weekend away, however something happened that shook him to his core. He was out-daded by another dad. Both Marlie and Lola had moved on to green pastures a.k.a a more fun dad in the pool. Let's hope Ash doesn't get the same idea.

Daycare - what the hell would we do without this glorious organisation that helps give parents all across the world their weekly relief? Although, as much as we love her, she's not without her pains.

Matt has to battle tantrums, tears and parking inspectors just to make it to his drop off (what a hero). There is a lot of stigma attached to depression and anxiety amongst aussie men, despite 1 in 5 battling these illnesses in their lifetime. In this episode, Ash talks through his mental health journey - starting from adjusting to life as a new dad, realising he had a problem, seeking professional help and maintaining his health.

Matt has returned back to Sydney after travelling with Laura and the kids to Canberra and Brisbane for the final two Life Uncut live shows. Three nights with two kids crammed into one bedroom was nothing but joyous and relaxing. Who wouldn't want to spend the night in a piss stained cot (Matt not the kids). Matt also got pink eye, they airline lost one of their bags and Laura got covid.

Ash is sounding a little under the weather after his mum house-sat a cat infested apartment over the weekend, which gave Ash's sinus an absolute beating. Fear not, we will continue to record this episode rain, hail, cat allergy.

Matt's discovered the hardest part of parenting girls - having to do their hair in the morning. He also had an incident with Marlie where a midnight nose-picking session has caused the world's biggest nose bleed in his bed. To make matters worse, he was charge twice by the cleaners to remove the stains.

Ash's body continues to battle ailments - just after he was starting to get over his cold, his haemorrhoids have begun to flair up. Fingers crossed he'll be back to full health in no time (don't hold your breathe).

Would you bloody believe it.. Ash Wicks aka The Cat has landed on his feet once again. At the 11th hour on Sunday morning he managed to get a ticket to the NRL grand final alongside Matty J. It wasn't without its ups and downs - the lads battled flu (apologise for the slight husk today), premature ejaculation at the sight of Reece Walsh, Anthony Albanese's security team and a last minute Broncos loss that still rattles Matty J.

Matt gives an update on his week without Laura (she's been working in Bali). Highlights include stealing his mum who was in town to help his sister move house, finally figuring out how to hold his daughters when they bush-wee and not interrupting his kids when they slept on the floor. What a doting dad!

Ash had a dads weekend down the coast with the partners from his mother's group. Plans to enjoy fishing, jetskiing and the beach were soon replaced with a day session at the pub. Only issue is that the pub was 21km from their house, no taxis and everyone had a belly full of beer. It's a miracle they all returned home in one piece.

Ever heard of Slap Cheek? No, neither had we before this ep, but Oscar (Ash's son) has it. For those wondering, it's a viral infection caused by the human parvovirus B19, which means no daycare. DEVASTATING !

Matt's won worst uncle of the week after giving his nephew some pointers on the scooter, which led him to face planting and getting 3 stitches in hospital. Matt was then back in hospital with Marlie (his daughter) due to an upset tummy. Don't worry, it was just a telescopic intestine (nothing serious).

All this medical chat reminded Ash of the time he suffered a twisted testicle and almost lost his nut (happy to confirm both nuts are still intact).

Matt and Ash enjoyed a lovely day out to celebrate Producer Keeshia's birthday - drinks were flowing, food was delish and there wasn't a toddler in sight. What could possibly go wrong!? Just a disagreement between Matty J and one of Ash's fans after he generously offered to take a snap.

We've loved reading the DM's from listeners - especially from a particular individual who sends us voice messages of his farts each week. Shout out to Dylan! Matt's moved house, which meant he got to roll the sleeves up and get down and dirty with a bunch of blokes in the back of a van. Unfortunately this distracted him from the most important day of the year - Ash's birthday (which he forgot).

To make matters worse for Ash, he left a poonami filled nappy in the top drawer of Macy's room, which was then cooked by the sun for the next few hours. He's also now planning a move as their house is more radioactive than Chernobyl.

Ash, father of the year, #1 doting dad, selfless carer of Macy and Oscar... has been dad-shamed. The crime you ask? Taking two marshmallows from his children's babycino. Matt's just returned from his honeymoon, which was on a beautiful tropical island in Fiji. The only problem? It was the time of the month for Laura, Marlie got conjunctivitis and Lola was attacked by mosquitoes. If thought Ash was the perfect man, I have some bad news for you - the bloke doesn't have the ability to snorkel. He can only last a few minutes before hyperventilating and then vomiting. Matt's had a tough week after his kids have decided he's a dick and they prefer Laura as their favourite parent. The only member of the family who still loves him is his three-legged dog Buster, who suffers from erection problems. Matt and Laura went to a surprise wedding and almost burnt the venue down whilst trying to light 50 sparklers at once. Macey now goes by the name - Lord of the Throne, which comes off the back of her new fascination with sitting on the toilet (full dressed) every second of every day. What's the number benefit of having kids? Pretending they're sick to get out of social events. Ash takes full advantage of this by giving his grandma a wide berth on mother's day because he was hung-dog-millionaire.. I mean, he was tending to his child's raging fever. Matt decided Marlie was old enough to start earning a wage so he put her to work in the garage washing the car. If anyone in Sydney wants a wash and polish, it's $12.50. And Oscar gets a birthday present that can only be described as a glory hole book - Perfect!

After a tough morning with the girls, Matt is guilted by a clip he saw on social media. Can we normalise parents not enjoying every second!? Ash realises the apple doesn't fall far from the tree after Oscar had a little accident with a fart that was carrying cargo - he's also a man who has publicly experienced sharting. Ash divulges into his love of paper bags from the grocery store and why it makes him feel so masculine. Matt's currently enjoying potty training a 2 year old (Lola) who insists on doing everything solo - including attempting to empty a potty by herself that's full to the brim with her business. Ash takes the family on a holiday to Queensland, which includes lugging 8 bags, cot and baby seat across the boarder, getting two flat tyres and being on the receiving end of a foul-mouthed spray from his 3 year old. Matt also has an incident with a post-sex towel thanks to his mother.

Ash has just uncovered his wife's devious lunch prep behaviour - hiding mint slices in Oscar's daycare lunches. Matty J and Ash have developed a full blown dad-crush post Larry Emdur chat. The man has it all - loving relationship with his wife, successful career and two fully grown offspring who treat him like a best mate. He also doesn't look a day over 40.
