"Fan into a flame and rekindle the fire of the spiritual gift God imparted to you..."(2 Timothy 1:6), some of the final words written by the Apostle Paul as he encourages a young leader, Timothy. Paul uses these words to challenge Timothy to stay on fire for God by boldly using the gifts God has given him. I believe this encouragement and challenge is so relevant for all of us today! What are we doing with the fire inside of all of us? Are we growing that fire into an uncontainable flame? How do we even go about growing that fire? Jesus said in Matthew 12 “...for a tree is recognized by its fruit.” Our lives can produce fruit based on what our focus and motivation is in life. What type of fruit are you producing today? Is it fruit that gives honor to God and points people to him? Whether it is or not, we actually still have a choice about what type of fruit we want our lives and legacies to produce.
