Fri, 26 Feb 2021 - 229 - EP 154: Hunting Politics Primer - Montana SB 143
In this episode (154) of Leupold's Hunt Talk Radio Randy shares the mic with Mac Minard, Executive Director of the Montana Outfitter and Guides Association. The discussion revolves around MT Senate Bill 143 that would take 60% now 39% of the non-resident deer/elk tags and give preference to those non-residents using the services of an outfitter. This is a contentious issue being debated in the Montana Legislature in 2021. Topics covered will hopefully give the listener perspectives of how our wildlife resources are being readjusted by state legislatures rather than our historic manners of state fish & game commissions and show the importance of being involved and informed of how your hunting opportunities can be impacted by the political process.
