Kurt Money and Kateline breakdown the 1980 murder of Marlene Oakes and how wrong and dumb her husband, Bill Major, was when he said oh she just ran away on you, kids. One of those kids, LaLana Bramble, will spend years thinking her mother abandoned them. Then in 2001, new DNA advancements will confirm for her what her grandma said about her mom years ago, "Oh, she's BEEN dead."

You might be wondering what true crime episode and show we talked about that covered this case. There is a show we watched on Prime, but it is so NOT a show, and is so clearly a literal rip-off of better shows that there should be legal action. So I don't want to promote it here. We do also discuss the FORENSIC FILES episode that covers this case in the proper way, and that can be seen in Season 9's "A Daughter's Journey."

Kurt Money and Kateline kick off season four by talking about three murders that took place in Bellevue, WA, in 1990. Dr. Donald Reay was the medical examiner at the time and it is he who shall be revealing all these secrets...one of which is, Dr. Reay is still at it! Did 5,000 autopsies so far, including the cases of The Green River Killer and Ted Bundy. It is his expert opinion and knowledge that will help bring down the sadistic SOB who killed Mary Ann Pohlreich, Carole Beeth, Andrea "Randi" Levine in June of 1990.

The true crime episode that gets cleaned up today is "A Taste of Murder" from the show SECRETS OF THE MORGUE.

The duo break down the many suspects in this case which is a shock to neither of them because of Kateline’s proven theory.

Kurt Money and Kateline talk about he 2025 episode of A Body in the Basement about the missing person case filed in Salinas, CA, in 1984 that wasn't solved until 1998 when a drunken bet results in a lady in a crawlspace tugging on a shoe being worn by a skeleton. This really happened! I downlaoded it from Audible and i was not kidding when I say it is 67 hours long. It is a collection of a collection of collections. it rules! 

So does Forensic Files, which of course comes up tonight in the discussion of hair strands versus DNA in the bulb. Kateline makes a grave mistake twice during her list items because she didn’t catch TWO times one of her big ones happened. Does it get damp? Listen to find out!

Edward Baldock was is found dead on the side of a river, stabbed over 20 times and nude. The killer discussed in this episode is Tracy Wigginton, the titular Lesbian Vampire Killer and arguably the ONLY Lesbian Vampire Killer.

Kurt Money and Kateline break down an episode of the extremely mediocre and borderline not-good show, Unusual Suspects. Why do a side-by-side comparison of a police sketch to a suspect when the suspect picture is just the actor portraying the suspect? These questions and more will be discussed and derided in today's new episode.

The case featured in the episode is the 1985 murder of Katie Eastburn and her two daughters Kara (5) and Erin (3) in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the nearly two decade search it took to finally catch the killer, once and for all.

Kurt Money and Kateline talk about the newest drop of NETFLIX's Worst Ever series, this time talking about neighbs. You know K$ is in but is Kateline? Yeah she is too because this was a great ep. Hear the remarkable tale of Shawna Scott's survival of a gunshot to the face, the life led of her husband David Scott, who was also a Denny Hamlin fan, so again K$ is on board.

Kurt Money and Kateline break down an episode of THE MURDER TAPES, an ID banger that K$ really likes sometimes and Kateline, well....I think we can all guess how Kateline feels about it. This episode is about the 2018 murder of Lauren DeWise in Bozman, Montana, and the incredible recovery of her roommate, Ashley Van Hemert, who sustained four gunshots to the head then laid in darkness for NINE HOURS before help arrived. Ashley's story is unbelievable...what IS believable is that she named her best friend companion dog "Bronson" after the revered action star of yesterday, Charles Dennis Buchinsky, aka Charles Bronson.

Also discussed is a 2025 episode of 20/20 hosted by John Quiñones about this same case called, "You Left Me For Dead." That can be peeped on Hulu if you so choose but K4$ warns you, when JQ does walk and talks he addressed the camera directly. But when he's sitting in a talking head, he is staring off screen like he's telling a producer or something. It's very very annoying!

Kurt Money and Kateline are here with a BREAKING NEWS episode of the pod….we’re talking about the hot off the presses Netflix documentary MATERNAL INSTINCT (2026). Forget Mackenzie Shirilla, Netflix actually found someone far more evil…TAYLOR PARKER. Taylor was a 27 year old woman who already had two kids but then proceeded down a path of a horror and carnage for a bunch of families in Texas since 2020, inlcuding that of victims Braxlynn and Reagan Simmons-Hancock’s family. Also, Wade Griffin is passively involved.

This is an absolutely bonkers, terrifying horror story and also made this episode one of the longest to date ever heard in Aisle H!

We talk about the 6 murders that took place in the summer of 1980 in Los Angeles that began when two teens hitchhiked to Hollywood from the OC.

This time it's season 8's "Dinner and A Movie" about a dumb husband who uses the plot of a made-for-TV movie murder in real life to help his alibi that he was off sailing. Ed Sherman is a dummy. Kurt Money and Kateline dive back into the well that is HBO's The Friday The 13th Murders, this time talking about episode 6, "She Had No Name." Another Jane Doe situation?! Yes, but with a missing adult this time. Also, the duo discuss the beauty that is Blue Earth...but K$ was really hoping for a picture or something. Or a picture of a keychain. Anything!

Kurt Money and Kateline breakdown the incredible story of Precious Doe, a child whose body was found in 2001 but not identified until 2005. Detective Bernard put his life and soul into this case and good on him, but the true hero, and all-star of the episode is easily...ALONZO WASHINGTON. Give it up for the guy who helped find Precious Doe's identity all the while producing a comic book with his picture on it. Oh, and have you ever wondered what the signifier of an identity was? Or if the face was the face of a person? Well, there's a talking head with a British criminologist that will rock your world.

Kurt Money has finally dragged Kateline to the wonderful world of Neighbs, and how thy entertain thee. This is perhaps our longest episode yet and that's because of the complete monster we discuss, Nova Scotia "denturist" Gabriel Wortman and the horrible acts he committed April 18-19th, 2020.

They might, because Netflix did a four-part docuseries on this case recently. Guess what, though? This 35 year old 22 minute episode tells the story WAYYYY BETTER. Oh and wouldn't you believe it, cops in the 1980s think for a hot sec that a satanic cult did the crimes.

Her husband Earl Morris was on a road trip to manage their daughter's country music career, so there is no way he is involved in the murder. Just like there is no way that's a toup on his head. A body wrapped 41 times is found in the garden of a four unit apartment complex. The body is only a few weeks old but can only be tied to 70-something Leigh Sabine. Only problem is…Leigh died the month before after a long battle with cancer. So who is the body in the bag and who put it there? This story unfolded in Beddau, Wales, in November of 2015 but the real story begins in New Zealand in 1969. Watch The Body Next Door on BBC Select. 

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the terrible luck that respected pastor AB Schirmer has when it comes to wives. One wife, Jewel, dies by tripping on the vacuum. Nine years later, Betty (wife #2), takes off her seatbelt moments before dying in a head-on car crash in their 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser. This poor guy!! What are the chances?! And are those the only suspicious deaths in AB's life? NOPE!!

There are a few possible suspects and while K$ and KL do not see eye to eye on who was arrested for the crime, they 100% agree that Jim Matthews, Jonelle's father, DID NOT DO IT!!!

Bryan Kohberger Facing Death Penalty For 2022 University of Idaho Murders

What's this?! A new iLH on a MONDAY?! That's right!!! This is our new pod drop date, Holtheads. This way we're only two days after the Dateline has aired. Plus, K$ has been completely forgotten by the sport of NASCAR and all those hiring edit gigs for it, so he no longer feels obligated to watch all three races every weekend. With that out of the way, let's talk about the University of Idaho murders in 2022 and about the trial coming up in 12 weeks that might end in a firing squad death sentence.

Early in the morning of November 13th, 2022, in Moscow, Idaho, a masked intruder believed to be Bryan Kohberger broke into an off-campus residence of four University of Idaho students and murdered them with a knife he bought off Amazon. The four victims were Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. Kohberger was arrested a month later and faces a charge of first-degree murder. His trial is set to begin August 11th, 2025, in Boise, Idaho. 

In their May 9th episode entitled, “The Terrible Night on King Road,” Keith Morrison and Dateline reveal new information about the case like security footage of Kohberger’s 2013 white Elantra driving by the house numerous times before parking nearby and speeding away just 7 minutes later at 4:20am. Also revealed are Kohberger’s google searches around the time of the stabbing, including watching videos about serial killer, Ted Bundy, a remix of Britney Spears’ “Criminal”, searches for a KABAR knife on Amazon, and selfies of himself posing like Bundy. He idolized Bundy and other killers like Son of Sam, David Berkowitz. 

The prosecution will be pursuing the death penalty for Kohberger while the defense is planning on arguing that his autism diagnosis should remove that from the table. If he is convicted and sentenced to death, Kohberger will be the first inmate on death row in Idaho to be executed via firing squad since a new law was signed last Spring.

Real talk, Holtheads. Kurt Money and Kateline were not crazy about this episode of Dateline either. We hate having back to back misses, but here we are. Fear not! There is still a lot of interesting stuff to talk about (like the verdict reaction in court) and it is most likely just missing some info because Dateline did not have access to the prosecution, defense or the true crime show, Cold Justice, for their side of the story. This podcast episode is a blast, however, because even a swing-and-a-miss from Dateline is a true crime 7/10 for K$ and KL and they love talking about it. Plus, K$ squeezes in a killer Shaggy joke that he’s proud of. Hint…it WAS me! Boom, there’s another. 

This episode is about the death of Anita Knudson in June, 2007, in Minot, North Dakota. After her dad finds her body in her bedroom it takes almost 20 years to bring it to trial. And even then…the justice remains cold. One thing is for sure though, Tyler didn’t do it! 

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the newest episode of Dateline, "The Devil's in the Details." Michael Cochran passes out, hits head and dies five days later. Was this an accident? A side effect of his steroid use? Or part of an elaborate plan (among many other side plans) at the hands of his grieving ex-wife, Natalie? K$ and KL were not crazy about this episode but they had a lot of fun discussing it. So maybe they loved it?!

Jasmine Pace goes missing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, during Thanksgiving 2022. Finding her is up to the police—lol, who are we kidding? They didn't do a thing. It was a holiday weekend, for crying out loud! Luckily the Pace family is here to step in and be the most badass family in grieving Kurt Money and Kateline have ever seen.

Kurt Money and Kateline discuss the newest Friday episode of Dateline about the murder of celebrity hairstylist Fabio Sementilli at the hands of his wife, Monica Sementilli and her lover, the former porn star/current sex offender boyfriend, Rob Baker. You might be thinking, hey what's with the spoilers?! But the title of the Dateline spoils who the killer is anyway and Kateline is NOT here for it.
