Police have been searching for a missing Mom and two teens from Springfield, Missouri, for more than twenty years.

The Springfield Three are friends Suzanne Street, Stacy McCall, and Streeter's mother, Sherrill Levitt. The women vanished from Levitt's home. All of their personal belongings, including cars and purses, were left behind.

Police say there were no signs of a struggle other than a broken globe on a porch light.

Madeline Kingsbury is a mom of two and a professional. For the last three years, she has been working at the Mayo Clinic as "Clinical Research Coordinator for Public Health, Infectious Disease, and Occupational Medicine Research. 

On the day Kingsbury vanished, she dropped her children off at daycare and then had a text exchange with her sister; one centered around a funny picture. There were other text messages sent to Kingsbury during the course of the day but no reply. 

Later that day, Kingsbury didn't pick up her children. Turns out, she also didn't go to work that day. 

Where is Madeline Kingsbury? As the investigation continues a highly respected prosecutor has been pulled out of retirement to help. Prosecutor Phil Prokopowicz will consult in the ongoing search for  Kingsbury.

“General Hospital” star Haley Pullos has been charged after a wrong-way crash.

Pullos is now facing driving under the influence charges after her car flew over the dividing barrier, and into oncoming traffic. She careened off one car and collided head-on with another car, that was going about 60 mph. 

Police reportedly recovered marijuana edibles and alcohol from the actress’ car.  Firefighters had to use "the jaws of life" to free Pullos from her car. That's when the "General Hospital" actress lashed out at the responders shouting, “This is a $400 f**king shirt!”

TMZ also reports Pullos was aggressive with hospital staff and had to be sedated.

Bryan Kohberger's parents have been subpoenaed by a Pennsylvania grand jury to testify in connection with the May 2022 disappearance of a woman missing nearly a year.

Dana Smithers was last seen leaving a friend's house in Monroe County late in the evening.  Almost a year later, her remains were recovered in Stroudsburg, about a 30-minute drive from the Kohberger family home in Albrightsville. 

Michael Kohberger is expected to testify in court today. Maryann Kohberger has already testified.

Jamie Komoroski, the driver who killed a bride on the way from her wedding, is caught bemoaning her condition behind bars. 

The 25-year-old's video chats and phone calls, recorded by the jail, were released to the Charleston Post and Courier through a freedom of information request. In the communications, Komoroski talks about the crash with her friends.

“It was just like a freak accident … obviously, I didn’t mean it to happen. I just feel like a terrible person, like, I didn’t mean for any of that to happen," she said. 

Two days after the wreck, Komoroski spoke to her parents from the North Charleston Jail where she is being held without bail. 

Quotes from the calls include Jamie Komoroski, sobbing, “I can’t believe this is my life …and my whole life is going to be over,”  and “Oh my God. I just can’t believe this happened to me. … Why me? … I’m going to be here for years and years and years and years.”

Bryan Kohberger "stood silent" as an Idaho judge asked the accused killer to enter his plea. 

When Kohberger chose to not answer, the judge entered not-guilty pleas for Kohberger on all counts. The only time Kohberger did answer was to say yes that he understood the charges against him and his potential punishment. 

Prosecutors have 60 days to say whether they will pursue the death penalty. A trial date is scheduled for October 2.

Today’s arraignment for Bryan Kohberger will be the first time the accused killer has been in court since his initial appearance after his arrest.

Kohberger was indicted last week as a grand jury found there was sufficient evidence to move forward with formal charges. That evidence will not be revealed at this hearing.  Kohberger will be required to enter a plea on the 5 charges against him,  four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary.

During the arraignment, the judge will reiterate Kohberger’s rights and read the charges against him, asking for a plea on each charge. In Idaho, there are only two pleas,  guilty or not guilty, and a date for trial will be set. If Kohberger refuses to enter a plea or fails to appear, the court will enter a not-guilty plea on his behalf. Kohberger’s attorney has repeatedly said his client looks forward to clearing his name. 

New information has been uncovered in the days before the arraignment. Bryan Kohberger was involved in another crime that happened before the student murders. This incident reportedly involved a female co-worker at Washington State University, according to a Dateline Report. Someone allegedly broke into the woman's apartment and moved things around.

Instead of calling police, the co-worker called Kohberger, who suggested and helped her, install security cameras. The report says Kohberger was behind that break-in and used those cameras to spy on her.

A 5-year-old Georgia boy, Cairo Ammar Jordan, found dead in a suitcase in Indiana laid to rest. His mother, Dejuane Ludie accused in his death, but she is still at large.  Indiana police say another suspect, 40-year-old Dawn Elaine Coleman of Shreveport, Louisiana, is in custody.  

Investigators say the little boy died from an electrolyte imbalance. The medical examiner says that the imbalance was most likely due to a “viral gastroenteritis” caused by excessive vomiting or diarrhea. 

Toxicology tests came back negative and the boy had no severe injuries. Police do not believe the boy was alive when he was placed inside the suitcase. 

A mushroom hunter found the hardshell suitcase, which features the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. The boy's mother posted online recently saying she believed the child was really a 100-year-old demon.

After a night out with friends, Madeline Pantoja returned home, then stopped responding to texts and phone calls.

One of Pantoja’s friends and a sibling went to her apartment, but the door was locked and no one answered. Midland police were called. Officers broke in and found Pantoja’s phone, keys and her dog inside. Her car was also still in the parking lot.

Information began filtering in from neighbors who heard arguing from both inside and outside the apartment and screaming around 1 a.m. Surveillance cameras caught a pickup truck speeding away from the home.  

Pantoja’s father says they are searching everywhere. People are using their drones to cover land and empty lots quickly, and sending the family videos and pictures of the footage. The family has also had offers of horses for searchers.

Madeline Pantoja is approximately 5-feet 4-inches tall and 130 pounds with long dark hair. She has two butterfly tattoos behind her right ear and a tattoo of a snake on her right arm.

Ben Smyth, 19, is a standout freshman diver at the University of Utah. 

He meets a young woman and after a brief conversation, they exchange contact information but go their separate ways. Later that afternoon, Smyth reaches out to the young woman and shows up at her dorm.    

After some small talk, Ben suggests the two play a game of "truth or dare." Smyth reportedly starts kissing her and asking her about her sexual history. Smyth pushes her shoulders to lay her down on the floor. The woman pushes Smyth off of her and tells him she “does not want to do that."

Even though the young woman tells Ben Smyth she does not want to have sex, the teen swimmer reportedly ignores her, takes off his shirt and pants, and grabs the woman by the back of her head, continuing the assault.

When Smyth finds out he is the target of a sexual assault investigation, he cuts all ties and goes home to Canada.

Former U.S. Marine Daniel Penny has been charged after the man he put in a chokehold died.

Penny used the chokehold on homeless street performer Jordan Neely after the 30-year-old began acting erratic, throwing trash, and having repeated outbursts. Penny's attorney says several witnesses reported Neely making threats.

Penny remained on the scene to talk with police and was not arrested. Since then, Penny has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and handcuffed.

It's been nearly two decades since Alabama teen Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba.

Now, the man last seen with Holloway and also the man suspected of killing her will be extradited to the US. Joran van der Sloot will not be on trial for Holloway's murder however, but for extortion of money from her mother, Beth Holloway.

Beth Holloway says van der Sloot reached out to an attorney promising to explain what happened to Natalee and lead authorities to the remains. He asked for $250,000, which was $25,000 wired to him as part of an FBI sting.

This is the basis of the current wire fraud and extortion charges against him. Van der Sloot fled Aruba to Peru where he was arrested for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores. She died five years, to the day, of Natalee’s disappearance. Joran van der Sloot was convicted and has been serving a 28-year prison sentence.  

An extradition treaty with Peru is making temporary extradition possible.

Lori Vallow convicted on all counts in her murder trial. Vallow was accused in the deaths of two of her children, Tylee and JJ.  As she awaits her sentencing comes word that Vallow will be extradited from Idaho to Arizona too face a third murder charge over the death of her ex-husband.  Charles Vallow is her fourth husband.  Lori Vallow's brother Alex Cox,  fired the fatal shot that killed the man who adopted JJ Vallow.

Letecia Stauch, step mother to Gannon Stauch has been convicted in his murder. Stauch had reported the 11-year-old boy as missing. Stauch was stabbed, beat, shot, and killed inside the family’s Fountain home. Letetcia Stauch then tried to cover up her crimes, by blaming numerous imaginary people and driving to Florida to dispose of the boy's body. Gannon Stauch was stuffed inside a suitcase, which was then tossed over a bridge in Pace, Florida.  

Prosecutors said that Letecia Stauch was upset that she was left taking care of her stepchildren. Internet searched shows her distain while Gannon’s father was away at work with the US National Guard.  

Letecia Stauch will now serve out a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

In less than seven hours of deliberations, twelve  Idaho jurors found Lori Vallow guilty of killing her two children and her current husband’s then-wife,   

 The most shocking event in court this week is the fact that the defense did not put on a defense.  After the prosecutor ended its case, defense attorneys told the judge that Vallow's team did not believe the state proved its case, so they did not have a reason to present a case.  

A date for sentencing has not yet been set, however Vallow could get life in prison.

A new video has emerged of Bryan Kohberger interacting with police, and this time, in a traffic stop a month before the murders take place.

In the body cam footage, you can hear Kohberger trying to talk his way out of a ticket, telling the female officer that "there's no crosswalks where he's from." 

Also newly released in information is that police found a padlock for a storage unit at Kohberger's apartment. Police believe Kohberger cleaned out that unit and his apartment before a search warrant was executed.

Documents state that police found 60 reddish-brown stains. Two of those stains were found on a pillow and a mattress. They tested positive for blood.

Other than the stains, police found little else in the apartment. Even the trash cans were empty.

On more than one occasion, Eric Richins gets violently ill after having dinner with his wife, Kouri.

Then the pair, who own a successful real estate business, is celebrating a big sale when  Kouri Richins fixes her husband a drink. She then goes to take care of the children.  Hours later when she goes to bed Eric Richins is dead. 

Investigators believe his wife killed him, putting an overdose of fentanyl in his drink.  Police also discover that Kouri Richins tried to change the beneficiary to her husband's life insurance.

Convicted Killer Alex Murdaugh is a popular man behind bars, receiving more than 30 messages from women. 

One dated March 6, 2023, from Darla says the Murdaughs were a "beautiful family that others could only dream of" and she expresses her belief that Alex Murdaugh is not a murderer.   

Others are asking Murdaugh to reply. So far, there is no indication that Murdaugh has. 

In the meantime, the courthouse where Murdaugh was tried, is now giving tours.

Gunfire broke out around 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon at a Texas mall.

Witnesses describe a man dressed in black, wearing body armor,  walking through the mall property firing indiscriminately.

Police say an officer who was responding to an unrelated call heard the gunfire and took action. The unnamed officer ran toward the suspect, shooting and killing the man. 

Eight people were shot and seven were hospitalized.

Gannon Stauch, an 11-year-old boy from Colorado, was found dead nearly two months after he was reported missing by his stepmother, Letecia Stauch. Gannon was initially reported as a runaway, but was later classified as a missing/endangered person. Surveillance footage revealed Letecia leaving with Gannon and returning without him, raising suspicions, and then Gannon's body was found in Florida. His stepmother now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder.

Twenty-four years ago, Katy High School teacher Belinda Temple was found shot to death inside her home.  Her husband David Temple has been convicted twice in her murder. In the most recent conviction, the judge declare a mistrial in the sentencing phase, after the jury could not agree on his punishment.   Now David Temple has been sentenced to life in prison for murdering his pregnant wife.

At 5:18 a.m., Cohasset police received an email from a Gmail account. The email stated: "We have the so named Ana Walshe with us here... We had a deal worth $127,000.. she messed up...we have her here with us and if she doesn't pay the money. Then she'll never be back."

There's no additional information, no instruction on where to leave the money and no way to contact the kidnappers. Husband Brian Walsh was arrested the next day.

Nefataree Bartell is last seen on February 21, 2023. 

Bartell and her dog, Nova, were seen walking in the snow; a woman stopped to offer the 26-year-old a ride. Bartell had an address of a cabin. The driver took Bartell to Gold Creek Road and left her there to walk the rest of the way to her destination.

The driver, though, was concerned about a very pregnant Nefataree hiking the rest of the way in the snow. 

As soon as the driver got to the highway, she called the sheriff's department. She told police that she had a "bad feeling" and asked them to do a wellness check on Bartell. It didn't happen.

Eight days later, the dog was found alive and well-nourished. Bartell has not been seen since. 

UPDATE 5/5:  Crime Stories is very grateful to Charlene Bartell taking the time to talk with us about her daughter. We have learned that Nefataree Bartell's body has been found. Our condolences to the family.

Samantha Miller and her fiancé Aric Hutchinson spend the night celebrating their wedding.

When the newlyweds leave the reception, the golf cart in which they are riding is plowed over by a speeding car. Police say Jamie Komoroski was driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Bride Samantha Miller is killed.

Komoroski admitted to police that she had been drinking that night, but refused to take a breathalyzer test. Three other people in the golf cart, including the groom are injured.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, is charged with three counts of DUI with great bodily injury or death and reckless homicide.

New court documents released this week reveal that a bone fragment was found when forensic investigators took apart a hacksaw found in a dumpster near Brian Walshe's mother's home.

Police also found Ana's COVID-19 vaccination card, her Volkswagen keys, clothing and  jewelry. 

Surveillance footage also reveals that Brian Walshe bought cleaning supplies around the time of his wife's disappearance. The images show Walshe wearing a face mask and pushing a shopping cart in a Home Depot. He purchased several things, including mops, brushes,  tarps,  Scotch Heavy duty tape, a Tyvek suit coverall, two splash-resistant goggles, and more. 

When the Walshe home was searched, many of those items were found. 

Walshe was also spotted at a Lowe's. That is where he allegedly bought $450 worth of tools, including a hacksaw that contained the bone fragment.

Bob Lee made a name for himself in the tech world, as a founder of Cash App. The 43-year-old exec recently move to Florida but was in San Francisco for business. Around 2:30 a.m.

Lee calls police saying he had been stabbed. Surveillance footage captures Lee getting out of a car with another man. Quickly, the man drives away and Lee stumbles along Main Street in San Francisco's Rincon Hill neighborhood.  When police reach Lee, he has been stabbed three times, including two wounds in his upper left chest.  

The man driving the car that sped away is identified as 38-year-old Nima Momeni, also a tech executive.  Texts from Momeni's married sister sent to Lee,  show a connection between the two. Nima Momeni reportedly confronted, Lee implying "improper behavior"

 Momeni was arrested after a nine-day manhunt.

Convicted killer Julie Schenecker returned to a Tampa courtroom begging a judge to grant her a new trial.   Schenecker argued that her former lawyers made many mistakes and that media coverage tainted the jury.  That argument didn't convince a judge however. 

On January 27, 2011, Julie Schenecker did the unthinkable: Armed with a .38 revolver she had purchased five days before, the former Russian linguist fatally shot her teenage children in the head. Beau Schenecker, 13, was found dead in a car parked in the garage of the Scheneker’s upscale Tampa home; 16-year-old Calyx had been placed in her bed after was killed. Julie Schenecker reportedly lifted her daughter’s mouth in the shape of a smile in a bizarre staging of the body.

Calyx had been doing her homework on the computer in another room when Julie Schenecker came up behind her and shot her in the head, then in the face. Julie had already killed Beau, reportedly shooting him in the head as they were in the car, headed to soccer practice. Julie’s husband Parker Schenecker, at the time an army colonel, was stationed in Qatar when his children were killed.

In an interview with police just after the double homicide, Julie Schenecker admitted to shooting the children. She later changed her story, and said that she "saved them" Beau from alleged sexual abuse, and Calyx from mental illness.

Breanna Wood is last seen at a convenience mart, after texting her mother she was on her way home. 

When she doesn't show, her mother, Fallon, files a missing person report. Months later,  Breanna Wood's dismembered body is found inside a two-foot square box.   

Seven people are charged in the case. Not all of those charged have yet to see a jury, but as the cases are being prepped Nueces County First Asst. District Attorney, Angelica Hernandez, came to Fallon Wood for help sorting through pre-trial evidence in the case against the man accused of actually murdering Breanna.  

Wood was put into a room with boxes of evidence related to her daughter's case, including crime scene photos. For three days, Wood sat on the floor sorting all the interviews, photos, and more. Some videos Wood was allowed to take home.  

The family's access to the evidence creates many problems. Claims of tampering could be levied and could lead to Fallon Wood being disqualified as a witness in her daughter's murder.

It’s a Saturday afternoon around 6 p.m. in early April. Ridgefield police department receive a call about a body, discovered on an abandoned property. 

Police say not only were there signs that a homicide had occurred but "there are indications the body was moved." The body of Joanna Speaks, a mom of three, is identified. The medical examiner’s office confirms that the cause of Speaks' death was "blunt head and neck injuries."

So far there are no suspects.

Bryan Kohberger's defense team is trying to compel one of the two women who survived mass murder in an Idaho home to testify. 

Kohberger's attorneys have asked a Nevada court for Bethany Funke to travel to Idaho and testify as a witness for Kohberger. Funke does not want to appear and is fighting the subpoena through her own lawyer. 

According to the defense, Funke has information that could prove Kohberger's innocence. Funke's attorney filed a motion, arguing that there is "no further information or detail pertaining to the substance of the testimony, its materiality, or the alleged exculpatory information of Ms. Funke or why it would be entertained at preliminary hearing.”

Funke’s lawyer also argues that Nevada law requires a hearing before the subpoena could be issued. There was no hearing.  

As of now, the extent of Funke's testimony and whether it could help Kohberger is not known.

'Delivery man' attempts to rob a home. Girlfriend arrested for man's murder four years after his body is discovered.

A DoorDash driver in her early 20s is on the job delivering food when she is accosted by an armed man, who then forced her back into her car. 

The woman was kidnapped and raped. The woman, however, with air pods in, was on the phone at the time. The suspect, Joseph Killins, 38, forced the woman to drive to an apartment at the Belara Lakes apartment complex. That is where he allegedly raped her. 

Her family, who heard the initial confrontation, tracked her phone and arrived at the complex to rescue her, but Killins responded with gunfire. 

After firing multiple rounds, Killins fled, later attacking another woman.

Colby Ryan took the stand to testify against his mother, Lori Vallow.

The court also heard a phone call between the son and mother, recorded from behind bars. In the call, you can hear Ryan ask Vallow point blank about the murders, but Vallow repeatedly responds, "You weren't there." 

Nate Eaton with East Idaho News reports that Ryan avoided eye contact with his mother even as she stared at him throughout his testimony. Vallow reported mouthed, "Oh my baby," when Ryan entered the courtroom.

Ryan reveals several new details, such as receiving texts from his "sister" sent after the time police believe Tylee died.

Cleotha Henderson, the man accused of killing Memphis mom and teacher Eliza Fletcher  after allegedly kidnapping her, has pleaded not guilty. He also faces charges in separate case from 2021.

Henderson faces charges of murder and kidnapping Fletcher.  In the other case, he faces charges including aggravated rape and kidnapping . Henderson also faces charges of identity theft and of being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun in other cases.

Judge Lee Coffee will hear the different cases against Henderson in one courtroom.

California dermatologist Dr. Yue “Emily” Yu is arrested after being caught on a nanny cam video putting Drano in her husband's lemonade.

Dr. Jack Chen says his wife has a long history of mistreating him and their two children.  Now, Yu's divorce attorney says she was trying to deal with an ant infestation and not trying to kill her husband.

The attorney's comments came as the two appeared in court as part of divorce proceedings. 

Yue is now indicted on three felony counts of domestic battery with corporal injury, according to Orange County prosecutors. She faces more than eight years in prison if found guilty.

Two young siblings are fed sleeping gummies before they are shot in their beds.

Brooklyn is just five years old. Her sister, Sharon, is 15. The shooter is their mother,  Veronica Youngblood. Prosecutors say the murders were an attempt by the 37-year-old to 'get revenge' on her ex-husband.

Ron Youngblood retired from the military, and despite the divorce, the entire family planned to move to Missouri. Veronica Youngblood would get an apartment near Ron Youngblood's new home. As the time to move grew nearer, Veronica Youngblood changed her mind. Ron did not.   

Brooklyn was shot in the head as she slept. Sharon was shot in the chest and back.  Sharon managed to call 911, telling the dispatcher that her mother shot her. Veronica Youngblood ran, but even as she did she called her ex-husband, Ron Youngblood, to tell him that she'd shot the children and she hated him.

A massive search was launched after two young Florida girls left home to meet someone they met online.

Jade Gregory, 12, took her dad's 2016 Ford Taurus and drove to 14-year-old friend Khloe Larson's house. The two then headed out on a road to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, area. 

The girls say were driving to meet a teenage boy they say they met online.

Chad Daybell writes a "novel' for his "goddess lover" over the course of a day. This love story was sent to Lori Vallow as a series of text messages. 

Daybell is still married to Tammy Daybell at the time. He also texted Vallow comparing himself to "Harry Potter living with his relatives." Daybell says, though, that he senses he will be free soon. 

The cause of Tammy Daybell's death was finally announced in court. The prosecutor revealed that Daybell died of asphyxiation. Initially, it was claimed that Tammy Daybell died peacefully in her sleep.

Bombshell testimony from two former friends of Lori Vallow Daybell:

Vallow Daybell 's former sister-in-law describes to the court how Vallow Daybell organized a "casting" for her estranged husband, Charles Vallow. Lori said Charles was possessed by a demon.

Zulema Pastenes, the widow of Vallow Daybell’s brother, Alex Cox, also said that while discussing what to do if the casting didn't work, Vallow Daybell jokingly told her she “could always put some pills in his water.”  

Melanie Gibb testified that Vallow Daybell asked her to lie to police for her and refused to explain why. Gibb says Vallow Daybell also would not tell her where JJ and Tylee were. All Vallow Daybell would say is the children were safe.

Levi Axtell, a Minnesota man, murdered elderly Lawrence V. Scully, whom he accused of stalking his young daughter. Willard Noble Chaiden Miller and Jeremy Everett Goodale, both 16, are accused of killing 66-year-old Nohema Graber. The boys were students at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, where Graber had been teaching Spanish since 2012.  Now Jeremy Goodale has agreed to testify against Willard Miller. 

Goodale and Miller are each charged with first-degree murder in the November 2021 death of 66-year-old Nohema Graber.

Police found Graber’s remains November 3, at the Chautauqua Park in Fairfield. A tipster led investigators to the teens. Police say social media evidence ties both suspects to Graber's death. According to a criminal complaint, in a social media exchange, the teens appeared to know specific details regarding Graber’s death, included how the teacher died, and the motive.  Police say a bad grade was the motive behind the killing.

Last November was the last time 6-year-old Noel Rodriguez Alvarez was seen.

A tip to police prompted a wellness visit and then, Everman police and other investigators began a physical search for the boy after determining the mother gave a false story about Noel being in Mexico with his father. Turns out the father has never even met his son.

Family members also reported that Cindy Rodriguez Singh told a family member she sold him to someone at a grocery store. Singh, her new husband, and 6 other children left the US for India 3 days after the initial welfare check. 

Police now say Noel's stepfather disposed of a large indoor/outdoor carpet at a nearby dumpster before they left. Investigators recovered that carpet and say it was used in the makeshift shed that was later torn down to build a suspicious concrete patio.

Cadaver dogs were bought in and alerted to the topsoil, but no remains were found.

Cult Mom Lori Vallow asks the judge to be allowed to leave the courtroom as photos of the decomposing bodies of her two children are shown to the jury. 

The judge denied the request. Vallow then turned away from the scene, keeping her eyes shut during the display. Rexburg Police Detective Ray Hermosillo testified that 16-year-old Tylee’s body had been burned and destroyed, with the tissue remains placed in a partially melted plastic green bucket. JJ was wrapped in plastic, sealed by tape. 

The search was reportedly so intense that officers got down on their "hands and knees" while digging. The smell, Hermosillo said, was so overpowering that officers had to rotate, and even then, one could only dig for just a few minutes.

An unsealed search warrant states that six weeks after the Idaho student murders, officers found ID cards connected to the victims in Bryan Kohberger’s possession.  

Reportedly, the cards were found during a search of one of Bryan Kohberger’s homes. but where were they exactly? 

Initial reports on the search warrant say the ID cards were “inside glove, inside box," leading some to believe that the ID cards were found inside the glovebox of Bryan Kohberger's car. Police would not confirm the report because of the gag order in the case.   

Dailymail.com reporter Caitlyn Becker says, however, based on her review of the search warrant, the ID cards had been hidden away in Kohberger's parent's home. Becker reports the cards were found "inside a glove, inside a box" in the Albrightsville home, suggesting Kohberger had deliberately hidden the cards.

Police also believe they have evidence that could connect Kohlberger to what police are viewing as cyberstalking of someone from the Moscow residence.

Madeline Kingsbury is a mom of two and a professional. For the last three years, she has been working at the Mayo Clinic as "Clinical Research Coordinator for Public Health, Infectious Disease, and Occupational Medicine Research. 

On the day Kingsbury vanished, she dropped her children off at daycare and then had a text exchange with her sister; one centered around a funny picture. There were other text messages sent to Kingsbury during the course of the day but no reply. 

Later that day, Kingsbury didn't pick up her children. Turns out, she also didn't go to work that day.

A North Carolina man has been charged after telling police he wanted to mutilate a woman and leave her body in the street.

The suspect and his victim met at a gas station. The two exchanged numbers, then Hunter Nance invited the woman to his home.

At the home, the woman claims Nance attacked her with a knife. She managed to escape.

People in the community called 911, reporting a woman with bloody hands was walking down the road. The victim was able to direct the deputies back to Nance's home. Nance told police he chose the woman at random and wanted to kill her for the thrill.  

Nance also said that he planned to “cut her fingers off before killing her in order to eat them in front of her to scare her.”

A Texas woman calls police and says she has been locked inside a trailer for four years.

The unidentified victim said all the exits to the home were blocked. There were burglar bars on the windows and padlocks on the doors. Police unsuccessfully tried to use bolt cutters, but ultimately, the fire department had to use power tools to get the woman out. 

Abraham Bravo Segura, 42, is now charged with felony kidnapping.

Appeals exhausted, Pamela Smart files a petition to compel the governor and Executive Council to reconsider giving her a commutation hearing. This too,  fails. The  state Supreme Court unanimously dismissed the petition for lack of jurisdiction.

Smart was convicted of conspiracy to murder in the June 1, 1990, shooting death of her 24-year-old husband in their Derry condominium.

The then teen trigger-man and accomplices who killed Pamela Smart's husband have been released from jail, but she, the mastermind, will remain locked up.

Investigators are looking for a prior connection between Bryan Kohberger and his four murder victims.  Authorities submitted several search warrants to TikTok and Google, asking for user history dating to January 2021 for the three female victms, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20.  The dating app, Tinder, was asked for historyt on Goncalves and Mogen. 

Kohberger reportedly followed the three women on Instagram.

In the meantime, reports say Kohberger spends his time behind bars watching news reports about himself.
