2024 will have as any year does a tone of it's own. Notably will be the First two Eclipses, and the continuing ingresses of Pluto into Aquarius. Ringing a note from the Saturn Jupiter conjunction at the winter solstice in 2020. This marked the start of a 200 year cycle of Saturn Jupiter conjunctions only in Air. It would appear that Pluto wants us to really pay attention to this moment in time.

Jenna brings us the birth chart of a friend who is looking to move to New Zealand soon. Can Astrocartography add any insights to how the move might go and where in New Zealand will be best!

There is a plethora of web sites that speak to and calculate these maps if you are curious.

The Movie/Streaming/TV industry has been on Strike for awhile. Progress was made with the Writers. But for people who's livelihoods depend on this industry, life will not get back to normal until the Actors strike is settle! Inquire minds want to know what the Astrology for settling looks like. Jill has a speculative timed chart for the formation of the Guild. We discuss possible timing for the end of the Actors strike.

The Last Eclipse in October falling on the Taurus Scorpio axis is dragged into November and the opposition from Sun Mars Mercury to Uranus and Jupiter will fire off until they all leave for Sagittarius.

Wait for it when they leave they must first sign off with a sextile to Pluto giving a very loud send off. Then run straight into a square to Saturn which is holding court all month at 0' Pisces.

Relief comes from Venus when she enters her home turf of Libra and then is eventual joined by Mercury in Sagittarius by a sextile. These too can hold a separate court of discussion on the side lines.

Eclipses come in series called Saros Cycles.

And how to look at eclipses and your own chart.

Bernadette Brady Astrologer has studied and written about Saros Cycles. An important lunar periodicity that was probably first observed and named by Babylonian astronomers about two millennia BC, the Saros cycle came down to us through the compilations of Hipparchus and Ptolemy. It was successfully employed to predict a solar eclipse on 28 May 585 BC by Thales of Miletus.

We start our discussion with the Myth of Chiron a mythical half man half horse who excelled at may arts but Astrology focuses on the "Archetype" of the "Wounded Healer". Chart location of the planetoid can reveal the nature and weight of wounding in your chart. Your capacity to help others heal their wounds. Chiron's eccentric orbit reveals a very unique set of timings that activate Chiron in each individuals chart. I recommend creating a timeline of transiting Chiron to your chart using conjunction, square and the opposition to itself to begin your study.

We Look at Russell Brands Chart and Taylor Swift as well as more personal examples.

We take a look at her Astrology using a speculative birth time which seems to work well. But please note that when the confirmed time comes out we will differ to it.

She has a remarkable chart of course, though not all is roses with her Venus not in good shape. The fuel for her song writing about relationships is a nice by product.

Will her star rise further in these turbulent times, this is a question??

There are brief pleasant moments, like when Mercury first enters Libra at the beginning of the month. But alas Mars teams up with Pluto at the end of Cardinal signs Squaring at first the New eclipse cycle of Aries/Libra, than keeping the heat on for the last eclipse on the Taurus Scorpio axis. Mars will enter Scorpio probably his favorite sign for intensity and lethal motivation.... Just saying....

Moreen focuses on the Planets Venus and Mercury which are usually in great to good condition for musical talent and careers in the industry. Jenna makes notes on how a story line can be repeated. Like father like son script. Jill notice how this family has many nodal contacts and other repeating planetary combinations.

Today we look at the 5th house of children and the 10th house of our position in society, which includes our ability to continue our lineage. The importance of achieve status and continuing such status through our offspring is a cultural practice that is falling out of favour (yes/no). We offer 2 examples today in the marriage of King Charles to to Lady Diana and our own Canadian example of Margret Sinclair and Pierre Trudeau. These two examples raise questions to how silly and hurtful this practice is.

How has Gerta Gerwig's, "Barbie" movie highlighted feminism's evolution and pushed against our patriarchal society today? Alternatively, has Barbie come back to haunt us with her unrealistic beauty standards? Soooo many questions this movie about a doll brings to the table to three women at different stages in life. Helping us to unpack this is our young cohort Astrologer, Jenna Short, who can speak to the impact that this movie is having on Gen Z and Millennial generations and the conversations it is instigating. On the flip side, the Baby Boomers have other thoughts that may not be so in favour for Barbie and her over-the-top expectations she loaded up on women's already heavy load.

We look at the "birth" chart of the Barbie doll itself, as well as the Ken the doll's chart, and the release date of the movie to see how feminism is affecting woman (and men) under the reflective pressure of Venus Retrograde.

Some questions to consider from today's discussion:

- How has the concept of the modern woman been reworked in the last 8 years?

- Was the Ken character, played by Ryan Gosling, pushing against the patriarchy?

- How is late stage Capitalism linked to the push against patriarchy we see in Barbieland?

July sees the outer planets from Saturn through to Pluto barely moving and not making dynamic aspects between themselves. This also means no in your face month long Drama. The faster kids out there do turn up the heat for a day or two. The big news for July is Venus who normal trips along at 1' per day will station on the 22 of July at 28' Leo and start marching back to 12' Leo. Values relationships, and the ego Leo are on review.

We start this episode by looking at a friends child's chart to see if the Mom will do okay with her health issues?? Major events in parents lives will register in their children's chart. Then Jill takes a closer look at the Ingress of Pluto in Aquarius which will happen twice more. Zero degrees of Aquarius in 2020 was the site of the Jupiter Saturn conjunction on the day of the solstice. Very visible to all and marked several very long cycles. Having Pluto be the first significant outer Planet to touch off that degree is likely important.

We are caught between the eclipses in Aries and the up coming Taurus eclipse in May. Two sets of houses in your chart one familiar (last years' feature) and the start of a new season and new houses. Mercury Retrograde at the beginning will ad it's twist. By the middle of the month our first round of challenging aspects to Pluto RX in Aquarius will likely be a warning shot across the bow of his new territory... Saturn has his first official square from the Sun in Gemini.

During the process of evaluating a Nativity an Astrologer can determine which Planets will manage to bring forth their significations in the best possible out come for the native and which planet will likely not. For Iran the date is when Islamic Republic of Iran came into being following the exodus of the Shah on 16 January 1979, left Iran and went into excile . After a referendum in March the state was declared on April 1 1979 0:01 am Tehran.

China also has a recent chart following the Mao's people revolution was officially named the People's Republic of China Oct 1 1949 Peking

Gen Z we begin an exploration  of the Archetypes that will inform their lives. This is just a discussion that is not exhaustive by any means… They all have Pluto in Sagittarius and we use this to demarcate this group 1995 to 2008.  Neptune begins in Capricorn and will also move to Aquarius. Uranus starts in Capricorn but by 1996 is on into Aquarius by 2008 is in Pisces. Momentous changes are coming when ever Pluto changes sign. This distant outer planet takes 248 + years to circle the The Sun and he does it in an elliptical path. Pluto enter Capricorn in 2008 and will leave finally in 2024. In 2023 we get an intro to his passage in Aquarius from late March to mid June, a chance to get a glimpse of the next 20 odd years of Pluto's sojourn through Aquarius. Many Astrologers will be way in on what this portends...

The month of October will be particularly daunting to the Fixed sign folks who are soooo done with the tension of the Saturn Square Uranus that has been on their plate for the last 2 years. Along for the ride is a Grand trine in Air to get all our mental wheels rolling. Pluto is not left out of this picture as Mars will come into a 3 week Plus inconjunct to Pluto, both station to keep them locked together. As the air trine advances with the Libra planets Pluto gets tied in by a square!

We all need to cut some slack to those who have Fixed signs prominent, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius and Taurus. The two Malefic's Saturn in Aquarius and Mars in Taurus are at cross purpose and are reinforced by the nodal axes through Scorpio/Taurus. Now add Leo Sun Venus Mercury and the New Moon on July 28th. Today I will present an amazing tool developed and used by western Astrologer from the Hellenistic era up to William Lilly and the 1600. “Distributions” is a technique that parcels out time in increments that are set for the Latitude of your Birth Place as well as well as your Nativity. Distributions can mark off chapters over the course of a life time or can be used with Solar Revolutions to mark out times frames of a day or two..   Distributions indicate what “Time Lord” is colouring your Life and what “Partner” from your chart it is working with.

Can Astrology speak to our yearly life? Can it get into details? The answer is yes. Solar revolutions speak to what area’s of life are going to be brought into focus each time you have a birth day. So unless you are born in January this yearly theme will not follow a calendar year, it follows your Birthday. The events that occur will not stray very far from the natal promise, and do not negate major transits that may be also occurring in a given year.

Solar revolutions are used in conjunction with Annual Profections (Ep 137 & 138 ) and Distributions through the Bounds which I will speak to in another episode. The combination of all three creates a detailed picture.

The first technique we will look at is purely symbolic “Annual Profections” The ancients divided up a life into sections with specific planets ruling those periods of time, thus giving periods of time certain qualities and probabilities. The ruling planet of a section of time would be called a “Time Lord” We will introduce each technique with a “ how to” and example charts.

A two note month? May be. Aries speeds life along while in the back ground Both Saturn and Mercury Station together in Fixed signs, holding up a big STOP sign at the beginning of the month. Life does pick up speed when both Mercury and Venus enter Gemini mid month. I suspect we all will welcome the Summer Solstice and the me time it promotes.

The ancient Astrologers were looking for “Portends” or “Omens” in the sky long before they were looking at a horoscopes of an individual. The system of mathematical points derived from the position of the planets called Hermetic “Lots”  or Later called “Parts” came out of that earlier divinatory system.

Black Moon Lilith and Zero Aries Point (Tropical Zodiac) These both are actually calculated points not physical objects. Jill will talk about the charts calculated for the moment the Sun enters Tropical Aries for country charts. Why we do this and what they reveal. I will talk about another calculated point “Black Moon Lilith” which comes about from the relationship of the Moon to the Earth and the orbital path that the Moon has. The discovery and early naming of a band of objects between Jupiter and Mars coincided with the rise of the Feminine in western culture. The first few Asteroids named were Ceres, Juno, Pallas Athena, and Vesta. In the early 70’s Eleanor Bach was able to convince an Astronomer to create an ephemeris for these Asteroids and a budding Astrologer named Demetra George was given one of these books and the rest is history… We will explore the impact of these early 4 had on Astrology and look at their meanings in some example charts.

Drum role please… This month our neighbours to the south get their first direct Pluto Return since the inception of the country! I’m really not expecting any fanfare on that day nor on the subsequent two more direct contacts from Pluto. It is likely only in retrospect that this turning point in USA history will be truly understood.

Venus the planet that can appear to shine bright like a diamond, describes the shape of a pentagram with her retrograde cycle. This synodic cycle was noted in ancient times, and more recently has been the object of deep dive style study by Canadian Astrology Nick Dagan Best. Venus moves through each of the points of this star in 8 year intervals and is slowly going backwards through the zodiac. On todays Show we will explore this Cycle that is re-occurring in Capricorn.

Our second notable Eclipse with dramatic connections to notable charts. Jill will walk us through important portents for these charts.  Eclipses will highlight an axis of signs for roughly 18 months and repeat every 9 and 18 years by reverse polarities. The angular houses are particularly effected when triggered by eclipses. Like a big arrow the eclipse is pointing to an arena that will experience major changes in the next 6 months. In the case of today’s/yesterdays eclipse this is the last call!
